you mean BCY? (Bitcrystals?) not on any CEX's that I am aware of atm
- only avaliable on the Counterparty Decentralized Exchange, Dispensers and Atomic Swaps right now (all protocol level Counterparty functions) -
Really, it's been over a week since I launched the sale but no feedback since then, it's absurd. Is there a faster way to sell them without going through eth?
-
-
-
Ça se fait sur uniswap et ça coûte très bas en gros mes 2500byc ne vaudrait Même pas 100$ apparemment
-
-
So what token will I sell for then?
-
BTC - dispensers / Atomic Swap
Any Counterparty token you want - trading directly with BCY (Counterparty Decentralized Exchange) -
No I don't want to do it I was just saying that it's the only quick method I found
-
I'll try and get back to you.
-
well youre trading an ancient currency from 2015, "quick" isnt going to happen mate
and i have no experience nor can help you with ETH / uniswap sides of things
review the FW user manual and get educated for Dispensers and the Counterparty DEX

It looks like that transaction is just a normal BTC send... which unfortunately no longer works with Counterparty 2.0 dispensers.... in October the Counterparty 2.0 developers changed the way dispensers work so that you can no longer just do a normal BTC send to a dispenser, and instead have to use a Counterparty compatible wallet to send BTC to the address and use a special counterparty "dispense" message.... this explains why your BTC send to a dispenser is not showing up.... because the counterparty 2.0 devs changed the ways dispensers work
-
what wallet did you try to buy from the dispenser with? You need to be using the latest version of Freewallet or Horizon wallet in order to use dispensers now unfortunately.

It’s a sign I guess to go buy up another kekmirror haha 😂

Thanks for the heads up…. I’ll go back and re-parse all of the projects this morning…. I did a full parse of the counterparty and counterparty classic database using counterparty2mysql…. So it could be some of the ID mapping or something got a little mangled….. I’ll dig into this in a few.

It’s cool I figured you’d be able to
I made me have to go buy Kek mirror haha great card lol -

Updated counterparty-core server to 10.10.1 in order to fix an issue with cp 2.0 returning bad token supply….. n yeah, the txs the api generates changed a bit (version 2 instead of 1)…. Luckily I fixed the tx signing in freewallet a month or so ago.
Glad to hear it’s signing for u fine now.
Working on an update to fix all the token supplies on tokenscan.io in a few hours👍🏻 -

because classic ledger froked with the xcp 2.0 ledger
-
-
Hi Davesta, Thanks for the quick response. What doesn't make sense to me is that yesterday the figures were working correctly, but today, only the classic is correct. and the 2.0 is incorrect. How can I see the classic ledger in my free wallet app on iphone? My desktop version display correct prices, but not my phone app.
Any help would be great thanks. -
-
That's correct, Jdog is currently doing some updates ATM... Some issues with destroy balances and other fixes for tokenscan
-
Freewallet mobile app shows XCP 2.0 ledger only.
-
I heard numerous reports that various tokens had wrong supply over the past couple months…. I tracked the issue back to counterparty core reporting the wrong supply for assets and not taking into account tokens that were destroyed….. so today I updated to the latest version of counterparty core 10.10.1 where the issue is fixed and ran a script to reparse all of the token supply information…. I believe it should all be correct.
If there is some balances or information that is incorrect, could you please verify if the information matches what is on https://horizon.market/explorer and if you find any information that does not match, please let me know, and I will look into it.
The past week has been spent parsing in all the data from counterparty core into MySQL….. It is possible that some information may be off, since the full parse was done on counterparty core 10.8, which had some issues, including the asset supply issue, which I fixed earlier today.
If you are able to point out any differences or inconsistencies, then I’d be happy to look into it… as I definitely want tokenscan.io showing information which is 100% correct -
Thanks Guys, It's not the balance that is the issue, it's the price of the token. It only started to be wrong in the last 24-48 hours. Good old Troptions!
Here is the link, I can't find the correct pricing on there: https://horizon.market/explorer/assets/A7653053619000933582?marketsTab=swaps -
When would tokenscan be fixed big bro?
-
what is off with it?
-
AFAIK the data is good now... if you see that is not the case, please report where your finding info that is off
-
-
I don’t see what token you’re referencing… Is there a dispenser or an order that actually executed for the token in question?
-
I’ll run my script to update prices for all markets… should be updated in a bit
-
Thank you. Muurcoin was the token in Question. But thank for the reply.

if you want to scroll the page it is buggy for me and scrolls not further and it shows only a blank page, there are missing many assets (in the "assets" tab) -
yeah basically any address is buggy in assets tab with scrolling
-
@spiritofM Please create an issue for this, and I will look into it on Monday…. Include technical details on how to reproduce any “buggy” issues…. For instance, instead of saying assets are missing on the assets page give a link and tell me which assets are missing on the asset page so that I can indeed verify that an asset is not listed when it should be.
-
The code that pulls data from the tables has not changed, so if there is issues, I need details on exactly what day it is missing and how to reproduce any issues…. I’ll happily look into it on Monday.

It's not the balance that is the issue, it's the price of the token. The 2.0 ledger is showing a completely different value to classic. It only started to be wrong in the last 24-48 hours. Good old Troptions!

TLDR… will look into any price display issues on Monday
-
-
I'm assuming there is no way around this? Like show the classic ledger? My desktop version works fine (displays classic prices).
-
There is mobile classic support at this time. Freewallet mobile version will only show Counterparty 2.0 asset information
-
-
Mmmm bacon 🥓
-
Do you have any idea why the prices are different for what I posted above? Between classic and 2.0?

3rd time posting this @Madchock…. Pls read
-
Thanks @jdogresorg Enjoy the weekend.
-
Also mobile no longer works to sign txs since now cp2.0 uses version 2 txs instead of version 1 txs…… an unnecessary change the core devs made…. So, I’d say mobile is dead
-
-
My question is that I have already installed the freewallet on my two laptops and whenever I go to cancel a dispenser to open another one with a lower price or in ned updates my freewallet is damaged by not reflecting the dispensers in XCP or Pepecash and I have already heard several comments from others that the same thing happened to them.

Create an issue on GitHub documenting exactly what you’re doing and where it is failing, and I will look into it on Monday….

If you are experiencing an issue with tokenscan.io or freewallet, please create a GitHub issue with a clear explanation of what you are experiencing, what the problem is, and include helpful information such as screenshots and/or links to demonstrate the issue, and we will look into the issue ASAP.

If one of my dispensers sold out on an address there was one dispenser before this one as well that sold out I want to open another one do I just send cards to the address and open another dispenser?
https://tokenscan.io/address/1LtWc4gzLBq64ei1GGKQa54npWShmYAeBW -
Yes, you will need to send the token over to the dispenser address and then open the dispenser…. Counterparty core developers, disabled the ability to open and reopen dispensers from a different address in October…
-
@jdogresorg GitHub has a 5mb file limit and my gif is 9.8. I uploaded to arweave and put that link in my json. I added that json to my description and the gif is not displaying. Any ideas what else I could try?
-
Link to asset?
-
If you link to the asset in question, that’s enough detail for me to look further…. However, just a general description is difficult to debug… it could be that your AR weave. URL doesn’t have a file extension on the end of the URL meaning the browser does not know how to display the image….. again rather than guessing at what is going on if you ask for Support, please put in very specific details about what the issue is including a link to an example of the issue….. that way I can look into it and answer with an definitive answer as to how to fix the problem…. Rather than what I’m doing right now, which is giving a possible answer and asking for more information and then having to come and check again later to look into the issue further.
-
-
-
-
Check the header it says counterparty API error, which means that error is coming directly from counterparty and is not a FreeWallet specific issue
-
-
-
I’m trying to spend a fun day with my son… we’ve been playing Halo, which is fun…. But tuning in to see people reporting issues and not creating GitHub issues is a bit frustrating.
-
I don’t want to bother you on the weekend. I’m looking at git large file storage now
-
But I realize I’m a bit triggered today so doing my best to just focus on the positive…. I’ll dig into stuff on Monday.
-
It’s not a freewallet issue
-
So your issue is you’re just trying to store a large GIF on GitHub and not screenshot it into an image for an issue? If so, then yes GitHub LFS is what you wanna do.
-
-
-
Yeah, unfortunately in my experience counterparty core is becoming less and less stable and you’ll get random errors…. Unfortunately all I can do is suggest that if you get a counterparty API error try it again in a few minutes and if you continue to have issues, ask in the counterparty channel….. though if you mention the word, FreeWallet that they will probably just blame FreeWallet, even though the error is coming directly from the counterparty API
-
Looking forward to finishing off X chain platform and X chain wallet so that I can shift my focus to a functioning platform where I’m in control of the API and able to fix issues versus the situation. We are in now with counterparty core dev‘s making changes that cause problems and thenblaming FreeWallet.

strange that looks like a tokenscan issue then - im seeing on xcp.io that all assets and ownerships were sweeped to the new address and only tokenscan is showing the weird +0 sweep amounts in the UI on some of the cards
-
but that does indicate the xcp protocol is showing the sweep in its entirety as completed, but TokenScan is having issues showing the data correctly
best and most helpful thing you can do is do a quick write up on the TX id and the addresses involved in a GitHub issue so Jdog can tackle this data error asap:

Yeah, you can sweep to a Trezor wallet address (and then import that hardware wallet into Freewallet).
But - you will no longer be able to do multi-sends, and it does bug out from time to time doing regular things like changing descriptions - 11 March 2025 (21 messages)
-
@subterranean1 did u create an issue for the multisend trezor issue? Wanna make sure I look into that when I have time

Yes. I’ll need to find the number for you.
I want to add that changing description with trezor doesn’t work.
Absolutely no rush though -
I bet there’s less than 10 people using hardware
-
yeah... same issue there as multi-send... its the multi-sig encoding which gives issues since it requires signing from addresses which are not a normal / standard trezor address.... No worries in tracking down the issue #... if you created and issue, its still there n i'll see it 🙂
-
Hey @jdogresorg I was about to create a GitHub issue regarding the prices being wrong for coins when looking on classic and 2.0. I saw someone else had the same problem but with a different coin, so I replied to that one with mine. Is that easier for you rather than me logging a new issue? TIA.

That is the exact right thing to do… I’m still working on resolving the issues with paging on the assets and balances page then we’ll fix the price issues with some coins… and then dig into the issue with a sweep, not showing up properly….
Later this week…. On Thursday and Friday I’ll probably spend some time fixing a couple of issues in FreeWallet related to some users having issues placing orders for Pepe cash and XCP. -
Yeah, the guts of chrome is always changing with them depreciating certain functions and moving to newer methods…. I wouldn’t worry about it too much…. If something breaks due to a depreciation, there’s almost always a new method for doing the same thing.
-
You know best !!
-
whats good
-
Hey Jdog! Do have a timeframe for these github to be fixed? Thank you

-
Tracked the missing sweep down to an issue with the Counterparty v1 get_messages API not returning all records as expected, and skipping the "sweep" record..... I expect the /v1/ API to continue to break, and not going to waste my time reporting this to the counterparty-core devs, as I already know their response wil be to use the /v2/ API rather than fix what they broke in the /v1/ API.... this update is a larger task (moving from messages table to an events driven model) and will require a rewrite of counterparty2mysql..... so moving on to fixing a couple of the other issues first lke the pricing issue, then will circle back to this issue and tackle it

yo fam, please help me understand. The freewallet I have been using and still am using is on what type of xchain? Is there even a difference between xchain 1.0 and 2.0? Please keep in mind Im legally retarded
-
You are using Counterparty 2.0. Classic requires a special wallet download that you can find at classic.tokenscan.io
-
JDog's new project is called XChain and is not yet released
-
Any discernible difference for me as freewallet user apart from not using pepe dot wtf anymore?
-
You have the choice to use Classic. You will have to go out of your way to do so by downloading the Classic specific wallet and using Classic specific explorer. Most Counterparty runs 2.0 by default currently.

Good day @jdogresorg I'm curious why when doing an ownership transfer of a token 546 sats gets sent to the receiving address. Is there data encoding going on? There is already an op_return in the transaction.
-
Really useful upgrade, thanks for rolling that out for us.
-
AFAIK This is the way it has always been with asset ownership. Transfers, since counterparty was first created…. I believe the sending of 546 sats is because that’s right above the dust limit which is the minimum amount you can send… and the reason for sending that small amount is because the destination address of the transfer is then easy to see in the transaction itself…. Otherwise, you would need to encode the destination address into the transaction in some other way.
-
-
Got it, thanks. That makes sense that you see a transfer happen in the transaction.
-
I wish op_return data was human readable!

Good morning @jdogresorg. I'm helping a friend get a series of cards published. Of these 7 names THREE, SIX, and SEVEN do not appear on tokenscan or in her wallet
-
when she tries to change the description of #3 for example an error says "this is registered to address null..."
-
all 7 transactions confirmed on chain. I believe she properly created all 7 tokens. Can you have a look at what is causing the "null" address rather than her address (1BWF35fdjbhLdRMCenguJ5HuL4CvjtXwJe)

Some of the issuances failed due to insufficient funds (XCP)

I've got some for sale
-
I’m waiting on funds, will be in touch sooon 😀
-
You can dm me
-
Will do
-
Ah shit. And now they’re locked to “null”. Can this be fixed @jdogresorg. She didn’t realize her xcp balance was spent
-
Should I write up a gh issue to ask that freewallet give an error prior to sending a tx if the user's XCP balance is 0? @jdogresorg
-
You should be able to just ignore that message and try to register the asset again…. In token scan, we create the asset record so that we can show the failed issuance however, the asset does not actually exist…. So you should just be able to ignore this message and perform an issuance again on the asset and if she has enough XP, the asset should actually be registered this time.
-
Okay. That's great news. Thank you as always
-
Counterparty already does a check to see if the user has enough XCP when creating the transaction…. But it doesn’t take into account any pending transactions in the mempool since the mempool can be different between Bitcoin nodes….. tldr, no issue needed
-
-
ah. makes sense. She would have gotten the notice if she did 1 at a time.
-
she sent all 7 in a row
-
One more thing @jdogresorg - yesterday I was sending BTC using my Trezor and it did not ask me if I was sending to a dispenser. Does FW not ask that question?
-
It should… pls create an issue for this n I’ll look into it next week… the trezor integration might need some updates to work with the new dispenser model in cp 2.0

Friend is unable to do a PEPECASH destroy on a mac laptop. Nothing happens after clicking the green destroy button. I know you closed my issue on git @jdogresorg. Any thing we can try on our end? She's on 2.0.3
-
I did a destroy of xcp n it seemed to work... can you take a screenshot of the values she is entering in for the destroy, and copy/paste the address into the github issue and reopen it.. that way I can add the address as a "watch-only" address and then try to generate issue using the exact same values she is having problems with... Thx 🙂
-
Just created an issue. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the math doesn't add up for the dollar value.
using the top value 1 pepecash = $0.16 (too high but not the point)
for $87,037.88 to be correct then 514,426 pepecash would be the correct amount to destroy -
thx for the info... will dig into it... pls update the issue with info about the pricing being off too.... will dig into that too

Have somone trying to update a description of existing token and they are getting:
Trying to update the description on an exsiting token is FW and getting an error:
Counterparty API Error(s)
Electrs error: Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)
Not sure if this is due to an API change that is causing FW to throw this error? -
Nothing has really changed in FreeWallet lately. All that has changed is upgrading from version 10.8 of counterparty….. to 10.10… this change replaces address index’s, which was a component which worked perfectly fine and worked locally inside a counterparty node….. and replaced it with a dependency on an external service called Electrs…. The fact that your error message indicates this component it tells me that this is related to a change in counterparty and not in FreeWallet…. I would try changing your description again and then if you continue to have issues, perhaps ask in the counterparty channel and let them know you’re trying to change an asset description and having problems….. my guess is that since you’re changing a description the transaction is multi sick and since multi C uses addresses to encode the data you’re requesting information for those addresses, and those addresses are not returning information and counterparty is therefore throwing an error…. I can’t say for sure but that’s my educated. Guess on what is going on is that electors is returning a response that counterparty is not expecting and you’re getting an error….
You might also want to try changing the description using horizon, wallet, and let me know if you have the same error or not ….. in theory you should just be able to make a request to the counterparty API and get a transaction back….. so I suspect both horizon and FreeWallet will throw this error if that is not the case then something different is going on between the two wallets, and I would want to see the specific request that goes to the horizon wallet to see if it differs from the FreeWallet request to generate the transaction -
TLDR complaint to the counterparty core devs about the error and avoid mentioning that you’re trying with FreeWallet or they will just ignore your request without even looking into it
-
Ya, I did not think that this was a FW issue more that a CP API update might have broken something that was working in FW. Wanted to ask here first just to see if it was a known issue. Thanks for the response.
-
pls lmk if your able to complete the request in horizon without issues. thx 🙂

FYI... this issue should be fixed on tokenscan.io in an hour or less.... the rewrite of cp2mysql parsed in the messages table data and worked around the get_messages component that the counterparty 2.0 core devs broke.... Also... thanks to you sweeping the same address multiple times, I have identified yet another issue in counterparty-core which results in a way to bloat the counterparty database quite easily
-
Sweeps - creating 0 quantity records / charging fee for 0 quantity records / bloating database · Issue #3089 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core
Issues: Sweeps are creating 0 quantity credit and debit records when there are no balances remaining to sweep of a given asset Sweeps are charging XCP sweep fee on these 0 quantity sweeps, even whe...

but yes the harm that the FUD around a completely fake "fork" does shouldn't be underestimated. I am shocked that people aren't screaming bloody murder about that nonsense that's at the top of tokenscan
-
Pretty funny to me that Adam is so upset about a warning at the top of tokenscan about a chain fork.... and calls it FUD... meanwhile, has no problem with having counterparty.io showing that FreeWallet is now considered an unsafe wallet, even tho FreeWallet has only operated on the current version of counterparty, and an entirely different wallet "FreeWallet Classic" operates on "Counterparty Classic"... double-standard much?.... Perhaps if he would stop playing lame FUD games, what he considers FUD would disappear... tho I doubt that would happen 😛
-
-
Anyone lost any funds using freewallet cuz they were confused about a chain fork? nope.... always go out of my way to let ppl know whats up, and steer them to the safest option.... but yeah... I'm the one spreading FUD... lol
-
</end tirade> 😛
-
-
tokenscan.io is back up and all data should be synced to current version of counterparty and showing correct info, including sweeps... if you find that is not the case, please let me know 🙂

So crazy they shit talk lol
99 Percent of people still use FreeWallet lol
Because it’s fantastic the owner is available and truly cares about his users ! -
Thanks Jdog sweep issue is sorted. Apreciate you.

So people trying goofy stuff I guess ?
If you open a new wallet
It shows you have a bunch of assets but you actually don t ?
Scammer ammo
KwDyp55rEcfECUeGddiM8iMDbQpZd9PNBzpoU5tn5aeX3fCjmbUq
This private key
Is for a new addy
With no assets on it
But it shows a bunch of stuff ?? -
Some kinda bug happening ?
-
check again on explorer and in wallet (refresh balances) and let me know if you see the issue still
-
I refreshed in FreeWallet mobile only and it still showed but I’ll check in tokenscan
-
Ya one quick refresh and it’s gone lol
Someone was just letting me know not to get scammed
Odd bug but it seemed off anyway with all the stamp crap and no history lol
DYOR RIGHT LOL -
With the updated cp2mysql, balances data is now updated to store utxos... and due to the funky way that the counterparty core devs decided to store utxo data (pretending its an address but it actually is a tx_hash:utxo_output_index), one of the SQL queries was showing all utxo balances because in those cases the address_id was set to 0 which is also equal to '' in sql.... a quick update of the SQL query to add " AND m.address_id>0 " resolved the issue 🙂
-
Lol I checked one of my assets now and it's showing another image on it ...
-
On tokenscan
-
balances in freewallet are driven by the tokenscan balances API... so, freewallet should be showing correct info... perhaps your still looking at some cached info.... freewallet mobile.. .bleh... old old 😛
-
which one? i'll look into it
-
Colorfulpepe
-
looks like that asset is added to the dank directory json... which is why the asset shows an image... sec let me verify
-
-
It's a khaledioscope asset
-
Thanks 🙏🏼 for just hammering that big fix !!
Jdogisdibesss -
strange... will check into this... maybe an ID mapping issue will check into it and get back to ya
-
-
Ok thanks
-
This should be fixed now... was related to trying to lookup assets by asset_id which in some cases gets mangled in the counterparty_nfts table.... I updated the SQL query to match based off asset name instead of asset_id and now this issue should be a thing of the past... thanks for reporting this problem.... its been something that has popped up from time to time, but now should be good since we match on asset name and not asset_id 🙂
-
Ok thanks for the fix🙏

go into your Freewallet server settings and click "Reset to default", then try again
-
Sorry how do I do that? I don’t see that option in the settings menu on mobile app
-
Ah the mobile app hasn't been updated for a long time
That option is only in the desktop version -
-
So has xcp classic been abandoned? No action on that ledger to warrant the fork no?
-
-
Looks like updating the desktop app and resetting server settings to default is allowing me to send now. Thanks!
-
I've got some dope Rarepepe for sale...
-
Yeah, I’ll work on getting the mobile app working at some point later this year…. We definitely need a mobile version of FreeWallet that works…. Unfortunately, with the latest changes from the counterparty core developers, they forced some changes to how transactions are generated and now generate V2 transactions instead of V1, with the end result being you can no longer sign counterparty transactions in FreeWallet mobile….. I have updated FreeWallet desktop though so that you can sign transactions.
I’m sorry that you’re having problems with FreeWallet mobile , unfortunately, the changes made by others seems to have broken the signing functionality -
I get it. Appreciate the response. At least I got it working on desktop!

Hello, I made a dispenser 3 days ago and it is not reflected in tokenscan. Where else can I see it since in the freewallet I cannot see the dispensers due to the datatablet problem that I have not yet resolved, please help
-
try looking up your address in a bitcoin block explorer?
-
see if there are any pending tx's from it
-
The dispenser is active in the 10 xcp for sale. 5 I wanted to see in Token Scam and today does not appear

-
looking into it now... looks like a valid tx but data not showing for the dispenser.
-
looks like an issue with the asset_id not getting set properly... digging into where exactly the failure is
-
-
Fixed now... also the site is TokenScan not "Token Scam" 🙂
-
-
Thank you for making me aware of this issue... if you see anything else that is off, please let me know and i'll look into it... this issue effected you and 4 other XCP dispensers... the dispensers were setup and operating fine on CP, but not displaying properly on tokenscan
-
lol... someone just fucking with the pricing by trading a small amount for a large amount of BTC
-
-
will work to add some additional code to tokenscan in the future which calculates price based off last XXX full token trades... should stop this kinda manipulation... for now, your uber rich, first time someone sells PEPECASH for a realistic price, your back to normie levels of wealth 😛

and your back to poor again 😛

was doing a reparse of some blocks... you were rich up until 30 minutes ago 😛

Also pretty hilarious to me that Vlad is asking about ordinal’s and counterparty collaboration meanwhile, Adam can’t really give an answer because he wasn’t around…. And the feature that Vlad is asking about where you can put a ORD prefix on a transaction hash and get the ordinal image loaded and displayed in the explorer is a token scan only feature and was implemented in CIP 25, which I wrote…… “ the toxic developer who shall not be named” 😂😂😂
-
One other note from the one minute section of this that I tuned in for was Adam talking about them being really excited about implementing the ability to do larger transactions on counterparty… i.e. taproot….. Javier and I had this ready to go in May of 2023 and had a pull request ready to be merged so we could’ve had this feature 2 years ago, but Adam decided it was more important to focus on changing all of the internals rather than adding the feature that now they’re working months to implement😂
-
-
🤷🏻♂️
-
Adam telling cheap lies
-
Kinda refutes, his claim that development was stagnant, and nothing was changing…. As improvements were consistently being worked on an integrated into the counterparty protocol, but at a slower rate because the community consensus was respected and listened to…… versus the current situation we are in now where tons and tons of code changes have been implemented, things that were working like dispensers have been changed to no longer work in a way which can onboard users, new features like assets for numerics and atomic swaps have been added when there is really no demand…. And here we are a year and a half later and still no taproot Support.😂
-
I do my best to not take it personal… Adam wasn’t around for the last 10 years and so he doesn’t really have any idea what he’s speaking about and is just speaking about his observations and not the truth because he has no idea.
I also find it pretty hilarious that he continues to push the narrative that token scan is a for-profit product, meanwhile, I have never turned a profit on any of my services and continue to fund counterparty out of my own pocket because I still have love for the community.
At the end of the day, I feel it was time for me to depart from counterparty as it has become clear that Adam and his team are going to do whatever they feel is best without listening to the community and anyone who tries to voice an opinion that is counter to their narrative is called toxic and all the resources at Adam’s disposal are brought to bear against those with dissenting opinions.
Point in case FreeWallet is still the most used counterparty wallet , as is tokenscan.io, yet the official counterparty.io website continues to display that FreeWallet users risk losing funds and contains no link to FreeWallet or tokenscan🤷🏻♂️
It’s truly disappointing how things have played out , could’ve been a whole different world had he just come back and implemented improvements, and not tried to change everything to suit his beliefs about where things are going.
Time will tell I guess … either way I’ve moved on and I’m having fun building the X chain platform🥳😊 -
Sorry, I wasn't aware! Maybe you should join my show too
-
No worries bro! Not a big deal… just an observation, not upset👍🏻
Yeah I’m down to chat about cp history n xchain platform in the future if your open to it…. Tho not interested in much of the jdog vs Adam dev war drama…. Just wasted energy, but happy to discuss history n my time with CP👍🏻 -
Send me a DM and let's schedule something

Interesting…. Javier n I got p2sh working n signing txs fine on counterparty-classic using bitcoin 28.1 (latest release)…. Which means that p2sh works fine on latest versions of bitcoin, with no changes to counterparty-classic codebase…. Yet counterparty-core has issues with p2sh, which Adam n Ouziel wrongly blamed on Bitcoin changes.
P2SH mpma send broadcast n parsed on Bitcoin 28.1:
https://classic.tokenscan.io/tx/2974857
Counterparty-core disabling p2sh n blaming bitcoin changes:
https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core/issues/2632
We will be putting out an updated version of counterparty-classic 9.62.1 next week, which uses testnet4 instead of testnet3, and which runs on the latest version of Bitcoin 28.1 with NO loss of functionality and with p2sh encoding continuing to work perfectly fine.
TLDR, counterparty-core devs disabled p2sh encoding unnecessarily (used by MPMA sends) and forced users to the much more expensive multisig encoding, blaming bitcoin for the change, and indicated it’s all ok cuz taproot will be cheaper in the future🤷🏻♂️😂Protocol Change Proposal: Disable P2SH · Issue #2632 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-coreOur P2SH encoding no longer works with recent versions of Bitcoin Core. It was disabled in the API in October (because it was causing loss of user funds). There are multiple other bugs in the P2SH ...

FYI new counterparty-classic 9.62.1 release next week👍🏻
