Anybody know anything about making viruses and attaching them to a email ?
-
You can use this to create your json file. It is all client side is so can copy local also
-
-
Hey guys quick question, it is possible to make a Token and replace the token img?
-
Replace the Description.

What I need to put in the description?
-
Depends on how you plan to host the image

This makes it simple: https://easyasset.art/

How to Host Your Counterparty Images and Json Files on GitHub
With the advent of easyasset.art and ardrive, what would the appeal of storing your Counterparty token data on GitHub be? First, both of…
-
Easyasset.art is constantly running out of AR n not always functioning…. GitHub is free n works.
-
but github could go away (well the user account and storage) so I still think arweave is better long term...
-
I mean… nothing to stop Arweave from going away either and if I had to place my bets on longevity, it would probably be on a well-financed GitHub rather than a shitcoin project that might not be around next cycle
-
I do think that arweave has a better chance or at least the goal of being a permaweb, yes github might be around but the mapping to the data stores could change breaking the tokens.
-
githib is a central storage solution, there are many of them around that could be used for this but most are tied to an account and can be updated.
-
but I do agree arweave could die and could end up in the same spot
-
The token reward incentivizes hosting. In the long run if it follows the same trajectory of every other shitcoin, it eventually goes to zero. This is what concerns me.
-
Also the one-time payment doesn’t seem economically viable. I pay once and never again… for eternal hosting
-
GitHub is also not a bulletproof solution. I agree.
-
Which is why my focus is now onchain storage 😁
-
Ya at least the goal with arweave is the correct idea, perma web. Where GitHub is not that at all. I looked at the model and tend to agree the pay once model does seem fragile but the problem they are trying to solve has many use cases esp with all the censorship happening.
-
sorry for the sidetrack will let people get back to FW topics
-
Your focus is on “unpruneable” data and ramming your shit into the UTXO set… could very easily encode your data on chain in witness data like other projects. IMO the “unpruneable” argument is a lame one, and is a detriment to you project (costs way more than storing data in witness data, and is abusive to Bitcoin, by requiring nodes to hold a larger utxo set, requiring more memory, increasing hardware requirements, and further centralizing Bitcoin)…. But obviously I’m still salty 😊
-
No worries, it’s a relevant discussion imo👍🏻
-
So your advice is to remove the one differentiator of the project to use witness data instead? Why would anyone use Stamps in that case? You might see it as a detriment, but I don't think Stamps would even exist today had we used witness data. Stamps would just be an Ordinals clone with no differentiating value proposition. But I digress, this is a Freewallet forum, so I won't continue down this tangent.
-
The differentiator would be the project would be on counterparty, which has a long history, and much more functionality than the other projects….. but now stamps are part on counterparty part on their own platform. Part encoded in asset descriptions, part encoded in a new encoding method….. imo it’s all over the place… we can’t go back and change history…. So it is what it is… I’m glad you’re happy working on your project and wish you luck.👍🏻
-
Did a quick read of this and would reco for other to understand how Arweave is working to keep data forever (200 years as a base)...
-
What is Arweave?
Here Comes Arweave
-
yes miners have to keep wanting to get paid to store stuff but I do think that is a case that could work
-
200 years is a wild assumption. We were just starting the industrial revolution 200 years ago. We've since seen automobiles, computers, space-flight in that time... and somehow they're going to make a prediction 200 years into the future...
-
My main complaint against them is having to pay an AR and BTC fee every time you wanna make a single change to anything… results in things costing a lot more. I do agree with you storing things on a Blockchain is probably better than GitHub, but as Mike alluded to I think github has more staying power than AR…. Though I will read your article.😊👍🏻

Just a friendly heads up.... a few ppl have reported having issues with MPMA sends in Counterparty the past few weeks.. I raised the issue with the core devs... and their solution was to disable P2SH encoding, which is what MPMA sends use.... so, in the new 10.4.2 release of counterparty, users will no longer be able to do MPMA sends
-
from being able to open dispensers on new addresses with 1 tx... to having to do 3 txs..... now from being able to do MPMA sends for the past 3 years, to not being able to and having to send each asset individually again... #progress... lol
-
-
This just makes updating to 10.4 more difficult, as users will not be able to do MPMA sends any longer... I haven't tested if 10.4.2 supports PARSING of mpma sends with p2sh.... but, this change basically just forces me to keep a 9.61.3 node up, and tell users to point at that node if they want to do an MPMA send.... such a dev shit show.... most frustrating thing is no real communication with community, changes with immediate activation which breaks things, and all of this new functionality could have been added without making changes to dispensers 🤷️️
-
Tough to see a community project die n turn into a centralized project 😢️️️️️️
-
Impo , mpma is one of the best if not the best feature. Having to send individually, for GAs for instance is just dragging counterparty backwards. Hope the devs see reason
-
Mpma is not gone. Please read the actual release. Mpma was dependent on an extremely outdated package that had eventually been broken by the encoding. They updated this so that Mpma would continue to be possible.
-
Seriously, actually read the release notes before spreading misinformation.
-
Release v10.4.2 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core
Release Notes - Counterparty Core v10.4.2 (2024-10-02) This is a small but important release which includes fixes for a number of node stability issues and updates to the API. All node hosts should...
-
read the release notes bro... stop with the gaslighting... where does it say anything about switching to multisig, or an activation block when p2sh will be disabled? I see none of that shit here... just "p2sh disabled".
-
Is MPMA possible with multisig still? Any updates on the release notes about "anyone using p2sh encoding should switch to multisig"? Nope...dont see shit
-
I realize your a cheerleader for the core devs... but stop trying to gaslight me like i'm not reading release notes or you will be removed.... dont have time for bullshit in this channel
-
Seems like changing a default encoding method from p2sh to multisig is something that at the very least should be PLANNED with an activation block in the future, so devs have time to update code and migrate tools tomake sure stuff keeps working 🤷️️️️
-
This is an immediate disabiling of p2sh for anyone who updates to 10.4.2.. an immediate breaking of MPMA sends in freewallet which use p2sh to encode data (as has been the way MPMA sends have worked for years)... if that is changing, it should be discussed and planned for, not just immediately activated... justify it however you want, its bullshit.
-
You asked for Mpma to be fixed…now it’s fixed. Best to wait for clarification from Adam and Evan before spiraling. I don’t know why you’d be comfortable spreading so much anger before getting clarification first.
-
I asked for clarification... either way, a "fix" is not to immediately change the way MPMAs have worked for years... a "fix" would be to either get P2SH encoding working again, OR, at the very least, plan an activation block at which point P2SH will be depreciated in favor of multisig.
-
Feels like poor people tax
-
The only reason Mpma “broke” was because v9.61.3 was using a pegged version of python-bitcoinlib from 6 years ago that supported an encoding method that is no longer supported by bitcoin core. This was reported in February: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core/issues/1383
The issue was almost certainly that before January 2024 dependencies hadn’t been updated in years.multi send error · Issue #1383 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-corehaving a problem doing a multi send... getting this error It looks like my "second send" gets hung up or something... im barely technical enough to find the github... i was directed to pu...
-
Also I want to point out ONCE AGAIN that this is incorrect. Only 1 tx is necessary AND you’ll be able to open a dispenser on an existing address rather than needing to create a new one!
-
FYI 👆
-
Not wasting any more time on this bickering... we can agree to disagree.... if I want to open a dispenser on a brand new never used address, it takes 3 txs... your saying you can do it in 1 tx on an existing address.... existing address != new address... so we aren't even talking about the same thing bro... Now back to coding.
-
-
It’s not an opinion if you’re wrong
-
-
Just a heads up that when FreeWallet switches to multisig encoding for MPMA sends (the only way to do multisends on the latest version of counterparty)…. The cost of multisends will increase quite a bit…. This is due to the fact that multisig encoding allows you to put far less data into each output then P2SH encoding does, which means that the transactions will require many more outputs in order to encode the data. Each of those outputs in a multisig tx requires a bit of Bitcoin. Also that bitcoin will need to be collected from each one of those outputs if users want to use that bitcoin again. Since there will be more outputs, transactions to gather those outputs will be much larger and cost more.
P2SH encoding allowed for encoding a lot more data, and collecting the BTC from those data encoded outputs and using them as the miners fee in the second transaction….. multisig encoding works differently.
TLDR, Multi-sends will be much more expensive in the next freewallet release😢 -
So what your saying is don't update 🤔😎🤣
-
-
Not saying that…. It’s the only way to stay on current version of counterparty…. I will keep running a 9.61.3 api, which users can point to if the want to do mpma sends using p2sh…. But freewallet by default, will stay in the current version of counterparty, which is 10.4.2… a fork is not good for anyone…. In the future counterparty will add support for taproot data encoding, at which point costs should come down again

I’m trying to buy an asset on the dex.
Placed the order that matches a sell order’s price.
I used a 1524 sat fee.
The order shows pending on tokenscan.
It shows 19 confirmations on block stream.
The sell order on the Dex shows the amount I bought removed from its total available.
But on tokenscan where it says order matches it says ‘pending’.
The asset is not yet in my freewallet balances.
1st time buying from the dex. Just want to make sure it’s working correctly / I’m doing it correctly. -
if your selling for BTC, your shit has matched with someone, but they need to send the BTC payment within 10 blocks or the order match expires.... if you see 'pending'... most likely its waiting for BTC payment... in future, pls provide links to your tx
-
when you place an order on DEX, the balance is immediately removed from your wallet and escrowed in the order... then is either sent to the buyer when an order matches, or is returned to your balances when your order expires or is cancelled
-

-
to buy from the dex.. best to not use BTC, as its a pain... hence why dispensers were created
-
yeah... its related to using btc to buy/sell an order.... in order for the status to go from 'pending' to valid... the person buying with BTC has to have their wallet open and using AutoBTCpay to automatically send the BTC to pay for the order match within a set number of blocks... if they send payment in time, order match goes to 'valid'... if not, then order match goes to 'expired' and is credited back to the order and available for someone else to match with and try to buy
-
using btc on the dex is kinda a pain... n so far only really works if the buyer is using auto-btcpay in freewallet... so yeah, in future, best to use a dispenser... as you can just sell something for BTC and get the BTC sent in 1 tx... or buy yourself directly from the dispenser by sending BTC
-
Thanks
-
-
It shows expired now. Thanks. I would not have known what that means without your explanation. Thanks again!

Hey there
Question
https://tokenscan.io/tx/1ea933e3ef4ae7f789ff9b2fe8feca6993424d7f50203fe21d767182f40c4729
Looks like this dispenser
Maybe ?! Scooped my money or someone. Pre bought the xcp
Is there a way to stop a pending transaction?! -
-
Dispenser is closed now and money ?! I guess fuckin gone or ?!
-
If your txn is still pending you can try double-spending the UTXOs back to yourself. But that’s not always easy. Otherwise, try and contact the dispenser owner and ask for a refund. Unfortunately, this is the nature of dispensers. Atomic swaps will solve this trust issue soon.
-
you could try to close the dispenser... it will take 5 blocks before the dispenser actually closes and credits any escrowed funds to your address... and if the dispense tx confirms before the dispenser is closed, the dispense will happen
-
Hmm 🤔 k
It’s closed someone bought them
All -
What’s a good way to find out whose dispenser it was ?
-
ahh got ya... yeah.. looks like your payment didn't pay a high enough fee to get confirmed faast.. when using dispensers, always wanna make sure you use a really high fee to ensure ppl dont swoop in an buy out from under you while your waiting for your tx to confirm
-
@CosimaTacro is this your dispenser? you previously posted that you set up a dispenser at 1AKwAbft2PTk695VDpuMTHg4XmZzaZpc9x. It looks like this person sent btc but didnt get xcp bc someone else bought at same time. Can you confirm and refund to them if so? Cheers.

Why is my wallet on free wallet not compatible with okx?
-
Am trying to login same wallet on both wallet app
But okx keeps rejecting it saying it is wrong - 15 October 2024 (9 messages)

okx is not a counterparty compatible wallet. And the address derivation on counterparty wallets is a bit different as well.

Okay is there is list of words that freewallet derive the seed phrase from

Because some of my seed phrase are not part of the bip39 2048 words

Counterparty predates bip39, so it uses a slightly different wordlist

what's the difference in sweeping a address versus just importing the private keys?
- 16 October 2024 (28 messages)
-
I think the main difference would be that you're sweeping to a new or different private key all at once instead of having to send
-
Safer, I would say. But it allows you to do stuff like sweep balances but not ownership.
-
Just tried to update the description json of an asset, 2 confirmations but no change on tokenscan is there a delay or did something not work out? Fun burning Bitcoin on this 3 times, shows valid on explorer.unspendablelabs.com
-
shows description change on xchain(dot)io only tokenscan goes with the old json.
-
hi trying to sweep a address atm, and FreeWallet said the transaction confirmed but I couldn’t find it on mempool and the assets are still there in the addy. Can anyone help with this plz?
-
trying to do the sweep again and im getting this error

-
had 1.5 xcp in the addy and enough btc for transaction so im not sure whats going on
-
If the addy has tons of assets, 1.5 xcp might not be enough
-
I remember seeing some (big) sweeps costing 4-5 xcp
-
Ahhh really?!

Well I’m guessing that’s the issue it’s a big wallet

Doing a sweep require requires a little bit of XCP…. And clearly the XP estimation in the error messages way off….. This is an fee estimation issue in counterparty core and should be brought up with the core developers….. I’ve mentioned this issue in the past, but it hasn’t seemed to be a priority to get it fixed🤷🏻♂️ perhaps you’ll have better luck.
-
If you’re going to ask about an asset description being updated, it would be helpful to know what asset you’re talking about…. Saves the time of us having to ask…. Information and Links are helpful.

Will dm you🙏🏼

Didn’t post asset cause it’s a sub I’d rather not share here pre acceptance.🫣

looks like tokenscan is lagging a few hours behind cuz parsing died... catching up on parsing now... give it a few 😉

update to the latest version of freewallet and you should be good.... essentially just going back to having to send BTC and assets to the new dispenser address, then switch to the new dispenser address, then open the dispenser from there..... I believe you should be able to still close any open dispensers from the 'origin' address... but going forward, will need to send BTC and assets to address n open the dispenser from that address (3 txs instead of 1tx as it was)

You don’t really need to open dispensers on a new address. That has historically been socialized due to the potential of accidentally triggering a dispense on your main address from a vanilla bitcoin wallet (like from an exchange). Now that dispenses will require using a Counterparty wallet, that’s no longer an issue. The act of triggering a dispenser will require intent. So really, a single txn (not 3) can be used to open a dispenser going forward.
-
Hi, I updated freewallet to the last version and I can't create dispensers
-
transactions go through but see nothing in my dispensers
-
Will the multi send function still work after the update?
-
@jdogresorg
-
And current open dispensers are still good as they are? Just need a cp wallet to dispense
-
Hmmmm…. I’m not sure but I think after the block height activation you will need to use a Counterparty wallet capable of triggering a dispenser in order to buy from all dispensers. Basically, it adds an OP_RETURN flag that normal “Bitcoin sends” wouldn’t include
-
Ok thats what I meant current dispensers are good just need cp wallet to dispense once activation process
-
-
Yes!
-
Cp api auto-translates a simple BTC send to a dispense tx…. So users can just send BTC same as they did before in freewallet
-
Yes
-
-
Unless u want to setup multiple dispensers on an address….. ur method works for a single dispenser.. but as soon as you want to sell more than one item from ur main address, u gotta use a new address….. which requires sending BTC n the asset…
Can’t deny that being able to open a dispenser on a new address in a single tx, and closing in a single tx from origin was simpler and cheaper than how it is now….. sure in the one instance u gave, a single dispenser selling a single asset from ur main address, it’s one tx….. for EVERYTHING else, it’s 3tx to open n 3 txs to close n return funds🤷🏻♂️ -
Especially considering tx fees today were around $60 per tx…. $60 tx fee vs $180 tx fee (3txs) is a big difference
-
But I digress…. It is what it is at this point 🤷🏻♂️
-
Will the multi send function still work after the update?
-
Yes, just is much more expensive since the encoding now has to be multisig instead of p2sh
-
I’m still in favor of a low mandatory fee with option of a donation size of your Choosing !?
Because I can’t do that shit people need to pay to play I’d say it could be small but I feel no one should work there magic for free eh !! -
-
No one is setting fees here. They're a consequence of Bitcoin's fee market. You're paying the miners at the going rate.
-
Hrm…. May add fair minting to freewallet tomorrow… still thinking on it
-
-
-
anyone can help? wallet address is 13vjb4HrQqrir6EdPG9BCYS2WWSZWx2uvC, last txs should have created a dispenser i think
-
too funny... Counterparty 10.4 just activated at block 866,000... and the servers went kaboom.... api.counterparty.io is down.. and no one is able to make any counterparty transactions
-
about ready to switch the public.tokenscan.io API back to point at 9.61.3... so users can at least generate transactions until the core devs get their shit figured out
-
-
Really? I thought going forward we setup a ton of individual dispensers from our main addy and stop setting up dispensers on freshly created addresses. That way everything would get more user friendly both for collectors buying (they can investigate the main address to be legit) and artists (selling on individual dispensers with one tx only on main addy).
Kind of has to be that way, no?.
Imagine the pain for artists if it was 3tx's to open and 3tx's to close and collect funds again, that would be a surreal pain. -
Well once the CP API is back up, you should ask the core developers how exactly they are opening up dispensers on different addresses using only 1 tx.... I keep hearing that repeated by a couple community members (the ones who have never disagreed with core devs decisions), but have YET to have anyone tell me exactly how that works.... so, rather than arguing I just decided to shut up and wait until the release is out and let the community ask how to use dispensers in a single tx now..... Perhaps I am confused and will learn something new... tho, pretty sure the "open in 1 tx" is only if you want to open on your main address... and to use a new address you will now need to transfer BTC and assets to the new address before being able to open the dispenser.
-
With you, the 1 tx open is only from main address afaik. But I heard one can open a ton of individual dispensers on main address since they are triggered newly and if they get hit, the funds arrive on main address so less collecting of individual addresses. If only one dispenser for main address would be possible that would be a desaster imo leading to the 3tx's on a fresh address you mentioned. Crossing fingers main address can hold numerous individual dispensers.
-
AFAIK if you setup multiple dispensers on a single address, BTC payment to that address will trigger multiple dispenses... so either we have lots of dispensers on a single address, and only ONE triggers (lost multi-dispenser functionality), or the we have what I describe, where if you want to setup more than 1 dispenser, and not on your main address, then you have to move BTC and assets to the new addresses.... like we had to do when John and I first added dispensers to counterparty
-
FYI... moving the BTC from dispenser address back to main address is impossible AFAIK... as BTC can't be escrowed by the protocol... the origin functionality allowed you to move the ASSET back to the origin address from the dispenser address, but the BTC still had to be moved manually by the user
-
guess we'll wait and see what CP does now... 🤷️️
-
That is why I was looking forward to the update, no more individual manual BTC collection on addresses with emptied dispensers. All on main address next to eachother, dispensers triggered individually even if a number of individual dispensers are open on main address.
-
We'll learn, thanks for the open exchange.🙏

-
lol... dan was focused on first MINT 🙂 I wanted first numeric subasset troll 😛
-
-
-
managed to generate the tx via the API at block 866000... before everything went kaboom
-
lol
-
-
-
LOL... slowly coming back up n online... but yeah, went down last night at like 8:30 right as the new features activated... 6 hours later devs started publicly engaging and putting out hotfixes.... 2 hotfixes today, prolly another one coming 🤷️️️️
-
dont worry... working on updating tokenscan now with APIs... then will update freewallet in a few hours n put out a new release... allow you degen-tards to spam buttons in freewallet to mint
-
-
-
-
Down load new wallet yes ?!
-
will have new wallet update later tonight...working on updating tokenscan.io right now
- 18 October 2024 (262 messages)
-
tokenscan.io updated to show fairmints and fairminters (fair mint details like hardcap, softcap, mint per tx, start/end blocks, etc)
-
Here is the info for the MINTS fairmint
-
-
off to grab some food... then will get started on the wallet updates to support minting 🙂
-
-
I know it takes 5 confermations when closing a dispinser. What about when creating one ? becasue I just created an xcp dispenser but it's not even showing on the unconfirmed txs on tokenscan. this is the tx 511217f5f81ba027aee202252e2713991a83bbb8d8e477935ac6199c143ef198
-
I used freewallet to create the dispenser
-
hrm... not seeing that as a valid dispenser on tokenscan.io or on explorer.unspendablelabs.com.... does show as a dispenser on xcp.dev.... but not sure on the status (not the easiest explorer to read)...
-
I'd make sure your on the default server settings... Settings->Reset to Default... then try creating your dispenser again.... could be that you were pointing to an old 9.61.3 api to generate the tx.... and now the current version of CP is 10.4.8... which is what public.tokenscan.io is running
-
-
Will try thanks
-
After resetting server settings to default I tried to create another dispenser and same issue 94265ec64bab073780b23f88cea1218d38d8d273534964d874fcf67e43794356
-
Is there an another way I can create xcp dispenser other than freewallet ?
-
I’ve been afk most of the day, is freewallet currently safe to send multi-send transactions?
I have a giveaway to conclude.
@jdogresorg
Thanks. -
make sure your on the latest version and using the default server settings... then you should be good to do a multi-send... tho now it will be a single tx, and cost a bunch more since the encoding is multisig instead of p2sh (core devs made the change on a protocol level to disable p2sh encoding)
-
Didn’t you say something about running a node from before the update to allow p2sh multi sends until they have created a better update?
-
yeah.... but it was too much of a pain.. I still have a 9.61.3 node running... but the wallet has been updated to use multisig instead of p2sh (1 tx vs 2 txs).... so, best to stick with latest version of freewallet using multisig on latest version of CP for now... might add back support for it in a lil bit
-
eating, then gonna do fairmint support n put out a release
-
I’m concerned about when I send the pepekids card… gonna be cost-prohibitive
-
hrm... same story as last time.. I see that you indeed have dispener info encoded in the tx... so the tx looks fine... but counterparty 10.4.XX is not seeing that dispenser as valid for some reason.... at this point, its not really anything I can help you with... its time to elevate this to the counterparty core devs.... could be an issue with the parsing code not detecting what should be valid dispenser txs as valid
-
-
^^ shows your tx and decodes to a dispenser
-
-
^^ shows nadda for your tx on horizon explorer (the explorer run by the core devs)... so, its prolly a protocol level issue... pls make them aware of your problems in the counterparty channel / dev channel... thx
-
ok thx

The real value has been revealed. 💯👀

If you were to think of it in terms of yearly salary, someone earning $100,000 annually would take over 105,000 years to earn this amount.
And i made it in one night ! -

lol... yup... as I said before, counterparty wasnt really built for spamming a fuckload of txs.... point and case.. lol

but hey, it is what it is, the core devs embraced this path, so now they gotta fix shit..
-
it can be done
-
off to bed... stuff will prolly be up in a few hours...

100m is hard cap on MINTS, currently 11m so 11% happy minting.
-
Why can't I click the Mint button?
-
It's laggy, needs to calculate tx fees, open close again try again and eventually works.
-
-
Did you mint successfully?
-
Yes 18K. But felt laggy, tons of errors, of 3tries maybe one worked.
-
Hello
I dispensed some xcp Yesterday but TX seems to bé valid, m'y btc are gone but i did not get any xcp ...
TX : https://blockstream.info/tx/f27f7cd4b7fa5637cd59059a99bd5fa1bef7da277df6437374983b5035221905
Have you got an idea about it ?
Thx for you help 🙏Blockstream Block ExplorerBlockstream Explorer is an open source block explorer providing detailed blockchain data across Bitcoin, Testnet, and Liquid. Supports Tor and tracking-free.

-
It always fails. Is there another API URL available?
-
are you all get counterparty API error when trying to validate tx ?
-
yes it must be an issue with the Counterparty API - its gone down and been restarted a few times today, best to check back tomorrow - lots of updates and bugfixes in the past few days
-
ok thx for your feedback
-
also for this tx - I am seeing it on xcp dot dev, but not on tokenscan... id wait a day on it, most likely just UI not updating, or some issue with new Counterparty update not reading the tx at this time (which would cause it not to show up in FW at this time)
https://www.xcp.dev/tx/f27f7cd4b7fa5637cd59059a99bd5fa1bef7da277df6437374983b5035221905 -
it may be related to this as well (could be a protocol parsing issue not seeing data in a span of blocks during the update)... will have to wait or file an issue on the XCP github with the details: https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core/issues/new
details of which would be the transaction links below explaining it is showing up on xcp dot dev but not tokenscan or horizon explorer:

Administrator, I'm getting a "Counterparty API communication error!" when using Broadcast Message. How should I resolve this?
-
Do I need to sync a full node? If so, could you tell me how to do that?
-
thank you
-
hi sir, only 50times per wallet right?
-
-
Always have been
-
dunno
-
what does that mean?
-
-
-
dunno=don't know. likely no limitations as some people hold 2-3%
-
-
anyone used sweep sers?
-
no
-
any other apis work?
-
the original api cant work
-
Can i not send coin using mobile app atm?
-
Says error communicating with counterparty server?
-
was contacted by a Fake J-dog advising me to reautenticate my wallet after i let a message here, beware frens
-
yes i confirm, me too :)
-
is fw and xcp working today?
-
-
yes tht so - sumone reboot the server man
-
maybe we have to wait for tomorrow, to let dev team to fix :)
-
-
-
-
-
hi bro, how to confirm that we mint successfully?
-
-
you can check tokenscan.io for your tx once it is mined in a tx.... pending/unconfirmed txs aren't loading cuz the CP API is choking under the heavy loads..... gotta just wait for them to fix CP API
-
freewallet should also show your balance once your tx is confirmed in a block
-
So I still can’t open a dispenser ?! Hmm
Updated but won’t open ?! Not throwing a code or anything just won’t open ? -
where to see the balances?could you take a snapshot?
-
just gotta check tokenscan.io/asset/MINTS n wait for page to load.... cloudflare keeps rate limiting things
-
bro, i cant open the website
-
Yup tokenscan won’t go
-
I guess no one was ready for massive degen activity haha or maybe it’s just dan ha !
-
-
did you try on xcp.dev
-
?
-
xcp.dev is on 9.61.3, so it wont show any of the new stuff... like fairmints
-
-
thx @jdogresorg for precision
-
-
bro ,how to see the balances?
-
-
-
does anyone knows?
-
The website cannot be opened.
-
-
Right on busy busy
-
-
-
made some adjustments to the cloudflare load balancing logic and a few tweaks on the webservers.... tokenscan.io should be back up now 🙂
-
Back up and loading quick
-
-
core issue was cloudflare checks timing out cuz too many pending requests on the servers.... tweaked the load balancer logic to not verify SSL certificates, require 10 seconds before failure, and restarting apache on all the webservers every 5 minutes to close any lagging/hanging connections which are taking up space and preventing new requests from arriving.... will result in some requests failing... but should help servers stay up and most requests get serviced 🙂
-
The website is back to normal, but the API is still unable to connect, with connection failures.
-
yeah... unfortunately the API is a separate issue from tokenscan.io... gotta wait for the core devs to make udpates to fix that stuff
-
Is there currently any other way to mint "MINTS"?
-
eh... not really... other than spinning up your own node
-
-
I could re-enable access to my CP API... but its struggling just to handle processing all the txs in mempool... adding additional load to create mints would take it down.... more impotant that tokenscan.io stay up and relatively current (lagging 2 blocks behind now)
-
I heard some ppl just copying the OP_RETURN data and broadcasting their own txs.... I believe the OP_RETURN data should be the same for (could be wrong)... so in theory you could just roll your own txs from your address with the first output being the OP_RETURN with the correct message in it... but haven't verified... busy with other stuff
-
just passing along rumors i've heard 😛
-
off to eat breakfast... back in a few
-
https://x.com/laoniuweb3/status/1847230512651546859
Is this the method? -
nope... that method requires an API
-
For example, where should this successfully minted OP_RETURN be copied to?
-
-
yup, API is not up to allow minting... gotta wait for new counterparty release which addresses some of these issues
-
It’s already 40%, in fact it may be over 60%.
-
-
-
spinning up their own nodes I am guessing... prolly will be cheaper anyway to wait until the mint is done and then buy some from a dispenser... imagine lots of ppl will be dumping
-
-
-
-
some more than others
-
kEk
-
Hey so api errors again ?!
I’ve got the new update but no comunicato -
Seems like you can over spend on this minting deal right now haha
Does anyone know if the $mints creator has it set to get $ from each mint ? -
-
Yes api error cant do nothing
-
And btc amounts all goofy ?!
-
Tokenscan.io hasn't updated in 4 hours
-
Sites loaded
-
Refresh but not in synch
-
How many FAIRMINT tokens can be minted by a single address at most? And how much BTC do I need to prepare for this address?
-
there are no per-address limitations on counterparty... that is a BTNS specific feature... all counterparty has is max per mint tx.. and some other stuff, but AFAIK no "max amount per address"
-
This the dev core team reply : https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core/issues/2451#issuecomment-2423179429XCP dispense through FreeWallet.io partially done : BTC spent but not received my XCP · Issue #2451 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-core

-
https://xcpeden.com/ is this scam?
-
prolly... I wouldn't trust it...
-
Is freewallet down ?
-
Api communication error
-
freewallet is up... CP APIs are all down... the core devs are working on updates... gotta just wait
-
i dont think if scam but they charge 12$ per mint
-
-
sounds very much like the stamps guys model... lolol... couldn't resist
-
Ok cool ty🫡
Token scan too right ? I don’t think it is updated too rn ? -
Crazy i would wait for freewallet to be up for my mints
-
That be like 1-1.5$ per mint right ?
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Counterparty will add support for those in the future anyway…. My main concern would be the tool changing the change address to point to an address which is not an address that you own i.e. stealing your funds.
-
as is psbt you can check it before signing
- 19 October 2024 (27 messages)

freewallet is down
-
CP API which generates txs is down... freewallet and tokenscan are up and operating fine... just cant use counterparty API for the time being... just gotta wait for CP core devs to put out updates... till then, tokenscan.io will lag on data and freewallet wont generate txs
-
cant't access the freewallet.io to download the wallet
