if it does it is something I will have to research as I did not know this
-
I was just changing asset description. Fees were low. I got a pop up saying it will cost 50c extra in fees so i clicked yes. Then $8 deducted from my balance. I am trying to see where it went. I never had this before this week.
-
enhanced info via coindaddy is okay. it is centralized ...otherwise large size file onchain doensnt make too much sense...
-
okay, so you are saying the information shown on the BTC fee in Freewallet did not match up to the fee on the BTC transaction?
-
-
it goes to miner ..you can get this info via mempool
-
Latest
-
okay, i know this might not be what you want to hear, but next time you update a description can you screen record the process and then link the tx info after?
When I had to advise Crypto Ace to do this process and fixed his issue here (though he was on a different version):
https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/issues/150multisend fee issue on v0.9.19 · Issue #150 · jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop@AdeKrypto mentioned as issue with Freewallet v0.9.19 automatically sending with a fee of 0.00001 BTC instead of the desired fee entered. In this case 0.00005 Video: cryptoace_compressed.mp4 Tx ID:...
-
since I have not heard this issue before from other uses I'll have to verify the "inputs" you put in Freewallet as well as the BTC transaction info for that specific transaction
-
Yeah will do. Just never had this happen in 7 yrs. Thanks for quick response btw 😎
-
-
thank you, doing so will help anybody in the future if they have the same issue

Yo this is weird. So a make a send for my freewallet to another free wallet of assets and go to the mem pool and find the input is not my addy and output in the op return. No connection from my wallet to the other wallet

Just double checking you know YOU made the send and not someone else right? the send is for the correct amount and for the correct fee you set, right?
-
-
But if you feel or verify your wallet is compromised you should use the sweep function. Which is disabled at the moment in the most recent version of Freewallet, but you can downgrade to 0.9.22 to use the sweep feature.

Working on adding these topics soon

Yes
&
Yes
This was the actual wallet to wallet on xchain but the mempool had no reference to any of that. It is the fee and send I made but that is no freewallet input. That is what made me wonder also it was just 1 UTXO to the op return which also confused me.
Here is the xchain info of the interaction.
https://xchain.io/tx/db2d171f04972b767cfd67f93a7d1d282bf7ea1511835db02cac7dd3df3244c7 -
It’s also about the 4th time I have noticed this in the past week or so
-
-
I don’t believe so. I do the black box gammers.
-
let me check
-
No i do not
-
I think i turned them off wen i had the UTXO issue. To many in my wallet

-
thats the one
-
yeah I was using mempool. space
-
-
-
Thats how I feel. I have only seen a 3 Addy on Xverse wallet from stacks fir ordinals
-
It’s what there legacy addy starts with.
-
My Xverse Wallet. See what I mean. Strange.
-
From what I understood freewallet.io doesn't support 3xxxx addresses. TheStampWallet supports 3xxxx addresses
-
Xverse mostly used for Ordinals which requires utxos and careful of spending of sats supports 3xxxx address
-
Yeah I find it strange popping up in my transaction on the mem pool.
-
Yes I know where it comes from, that is the only place I have ever seen a 3xxx addy
-
Which makes me think its UTXO related but further explanation would be needed from a coding side of things... im sure it's been asked before somewhere back in the counterparty chat, it might not just be a Freewallet thing, but something with how unspent UTXO's and OP_Return works
-
-
Wonder what that Op return is
-
This your wallet?
-
Thats my question
-
Nope
-
A broadcast from your wallet?
-
Have no idea whos it is
-
Nope
-
So what is this TX related to?
-
because I can clearly see that address also has an OP_Return function scriptpubkey and both of those added up to the total amount set by you... correct?
-
-
The Ordinals Dispenser you are seeing on Xchain?
-
scroll up more data above
-
Yeah that is the fee I set
-
And it ended up going to the correct wallet but thats crazy
-
this amount though is the BTC fee you set?
-
nevermind im reading it wrong
-
-
-
-
and this is info on the send
-
-
It makes no since
-
-
The fee was set correct but you know how free wallet sets a seperat fee for multi sends I don’t see that
-
was it a multisend?
-
-
-
Multi send
-
-
Ahh
-
??
-
;b
-
-
-
I was making a trade couple cards for a couple cars so i did a muti send
-
-
But the 3xxx address isn't yours
-
All good. That actually makes me feel better
-
-
So that is your transaction
-
Yes my transaction
-
It's not a CounterParty issue. XcP supports
-
Oh my god
-
read
-
sorry i couldnt help more, I figure there is an answer
-
J just has to add the code for its support
-
yes
-
lol
-
?
-
Not you
-
-
-
You had said this....
-
I am not trying to make a transaction with a 3xxx wallet. It poped up on my transaction out of know where
-
When using my freewallet
-
on the mempool
-
I did not use or send from that addy. I have no idea whos it is
-
Ya @jdogresorg should look into that if that's the case
-
That part 👆
-
You sent tokens, using multi send. And the TX on the mempool reflects an address that isn't yours.
-
Thanks mang I appreciate yer help fam.
-
Big facts
-
hope we can get it explained/solved ... looking through my multisends rn to see if something similar has happened to me on a past tx
-
I will also go through mine. I have seen it a couple times.
-
Like freewallet.io doesn't even use or support 3xxxx. So don't understand how it's broadcasting a transaction from freewallet.io using a 3xxxx
-
Will see what dev says
-
This is the original send in the xchain link. I took the tx hash and put it in mempool. space and thats the info it gave me.

-
Lol ya just followed it
-
But bitcoin does so thats what is strange cause it was freewallet to freewallet multi send and out of knowwhere in the mempool that addy shows up.
-
Unless that's CounterParty back end has updates?
-
Like take hex and put in decode
-
Ya have a bunch of characters and says cnterparty
-
@jdogresorg will have an answer
-
I believe.

-
J will see it when he gets up

And that is how it was written and so it shll be done.

Thos are some of the samish sort of tx’s with the 3xxx

huh so we know its reoccuring, thats new info... i didnt see any on my recent tx's ... i must have checked 8 or 9 of mine
-
IDK. Maybe it’s just me.
-
lol
-
Multisends are cp encoded send data in txs…. The outputs are NOT send destinations…. Use CP and cp explorers to view CP txs….. not look at a cp tx in a non-cp compatible explorer.
Look into how multisends work…. Send data is encoded into 2 txs and the number of “3” outputs depends on the amount of data encoded in the send -
Thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated 🙏
-
Look at other mpma multisend txs on xchain👍🏻
-
-
Same tx on a btc explorer shows “3” addresses where data is encoded 👍🏻

@jdogresorg do we have a spot for people to translate freewallet (if they are so inclined to) like there is for counterwallet here: https://explore.transifex.com/counterparty/Counterparty - Transifex
Join Counterparty organization in Transifex, and contribute to the world's largest localization community
-
Eventually will dig into Transifex…. But it’s pretty low on the priority list… if it’s really important to ppl, freewallet is an open source wallet n I happily accept pull requests

-
-
Lol😜
-
-
Ahh remove till someone comes up…. Google translate prolly good enough for now👍🏻
-
-
-
-
Thank you for the insight 👍
-
Figured it didn't have to do with wallet. And was related to CounterParty protocol TX...things I haven't read deep into
-
CounterParty protocol code is very interesting but also a brain challenge as the vocabulary is fairly new to me.

Mpma sends work but u gotta pay a higher tx fee than suggested…. Suggested fee is based on a single send…. Try 5-10x the suggested fee depending on size of send….. better fee estimation is something I’ll tackle in freewallet in the coming months…. Needs to be more accurate n based on actual size of tx not average…. But haven’t found time to work on it yet.

-
because of the immutability of the underlying tech (Bitcoin) this isn't an option - unless someone wants to chime in with a fix... but I don't know of one
-
Wait long enough it gets dropped....
-
For me it had taken over 2 weeks. During the Ordianls craze. And it finally dropped.
-
Had to open new wallet so I can feed my Degen Behavior
-
-
unfortunately you will just have to wait, or go buy some cheap btc (dumping rn) and refill the address to do so in a quick manner

I have sent multiple assets (stamps) to an addy via Freewallet - Multi Send.
One of the stamps is divisible (by mistake when created) and instead of sending 1 edition - 0,00000001 of the stamp was sent.
What is the best way of sending/resending it, so 1 full stamp is delivered ?
Can I just send 0,99999999 of the stamp and reciever will have a full stamp ? -
Correct, send 0.99999999

Tokens on CounterParty
-
kinda..... a new kind of token... which CURRENTLY runs on counterparty, but can easily (and probably will) be moving to it's own platform
-
-
LOL... we doing science.. why not build in a RUG feature.... and a way to LOCK against it... make ppl DYOR a lil bit 🙂
-
-
force education on them 😛
-
Lol
-
-
no way to put money into these tokens yet.... give it another couple weeks... will get dispenser integrations working in BTNS... then you can create a BTNS tokend and throw it in a dispenser... just like on CP 🙂
-
-
There is the BTNS channel for anyone who wants to follow BTNS.... will keep this channel for freewallet chatter
-
Just make Jdog room. Umbrella Corp.
-
Just one place where we appreciate and complain LOL
-
lol... naww... I spread things out so I can holler at ppl about talking about the wrong things in the wrong channels 😛
-
got too damn many projects im involved in to have one general room 😛
-
-
😛
-
That's a fact.
-
I did, haha. Just trying to understand how it's different from regular counterparty. Seems to have all the same features.
-
got ya... its basic features are similar... but has some new features as well
-
ability to have an open/fair mint (anyone can mint, just like BRC, etc)
-
list functionality (ability to maintain lists of addresses, assets, tokens)
-
ability to do AML/KYC compliant tokens (tokens where only a select group of ppl / addresses are allowed/disallowed from holding the token)
-
also added some features taht CP disabled
-
callback feature
-
basically.... I think CP dev is way stagnant and moving ANYTHING forward through CP dev right now is damn near impossible
-
I want to keep experimenting with features and building.... but CP platform can't keep up... or doesn't want the imrovements or changes... or whatever
-
BTNS started out as a way to do a new token system on counterparty via broadcasts
-
it was born out of necessity... the src-20 guys were spamming non-usable numeric assets.... I wrote up the basic BTNS framework as a way to guide them as to how they COULD do tokens on CP if they wanted
-
they ignored BTNS and went their own route
-
so... I let BTNS sit on the shelf for a few months... now pushing it forward..
-
right now, think of it as an "testnet" for CP on mainnet.... just a way to experiment around with tokens and such on Bitcoin..
-
ppl been complaining about things on CP for a long time.... like rugspencers... but no one ever wants to make changes to try out solutions....
-
that is why I created BTNS... to keep experiementing with tokens and features... perhaps CP will eventually incorporate some of the features or "solutions" i use in BTNS into their platform...
-
FYI.. I respect the CP ledger in BTNS... so whoever owns BACON on CP also owns the rights to issue the BACON token on BTNS.... so, for right now, the BTNS namespace respects the CP namespace.... dont want ppl to see BTNS as a competitor... tho, could pretty easily open up the namespace and pivot BTNS to its own entirely new platform independent of CP.
-
Cool. I've been talking with someone about doing a registered offering for qualifieds. This would help with that.
-
BTNS assets also dont require the "shitcoin" xcp... which seems to be something that has held CP back apparently?!? 😛
-
Nice, this is a feature we need for the registered product, I was a bit disappointed to learn that it was taken out of counterparty
-
I loke the shitcoinaspext of it. It keeps the spam at bay if they need to pay something.
-
-
-
there is a token which has an ALLOW list... where only the addresses on the list are allowed to hold the token... you can see failed sends where I am testing that pppl can't send / mint / issue tokens to addresses not on the allow list 🙂
-
*cringe*... yeah.. can add that.. tho prefer to add it in the Virtual Machine vs on a protocol level
-
via VM.... could just write smart contract that could enforce some additional logic on top of the hardcoded features..... so, your smart contract could do a check that verifies that some royalty payment has tkane place BEFORE it calls on the standard BTNS SEND() function, etc
-
same idea as the CP VM.... just a vm to overlay some logic on top of the existing hardcoded features
-
but... we also could do enforced royalties outside of the VM.... just would be messier and i'm not a fan
-
but... if someone wants to pay for the feature to be built/supported.. i'm all for it
-
Not yet, but I'm getting close
-
shouldn't be all that tough to build... just need to clarify exactly what type of royalty functionality you would like to see.. and then we can hammer out what options we add to ISSUE to enable a "royalty" token... where royalties can be enforced
-
feels icky enforcing royalties... but as long as it is something the token creator wants to do, I guess it is something they should have the right to do
-
-
-
-
we could make it so it is off by default, but the asseet owner can enable/disable the royalty functionality at any time... as well as adjust the percentages, etc..... so many different options, I feel this is better done in a VM where the smart contract writer can come up with their own logic.. but like I said, possible on a base protocol level, just more work, and no matter what we build, someone gonna want it slightly different 😛
-
-
If it was me, I would just add a royalties lock flag.... indicating that the royalties settings can't be edited anymore.... another DYOR feature, force ppl to check if token has royalties locked, etc.... same as we force them to check if supply is locked, if token is locked against callback and rug "attacks" 😛
-
this would allow also allow ppl to pre-register token names... and then adjust royalties info at some later date..... IMO we dont want a situation like we had in CP where ppl had to choose divisible or non-divisible and then were locked into that choice for years until we added a way to "reset" the token.... IMO, ppl should be able to register just a name.. and then be able to decide what to use the token for and what features they want at a later date when it comes closer to actually using the token
-
</end overshare> 😛
-
-
BTW... BTNS tokens support CIP25 JSON 🙂
-
-
-
-
docs bro docs 😛

Broadcast Token Naming System (BTNS) specs, docs, and tools - jdogresorg/Broadcast-Token-Naming-System

## Rules
- Mints token supply up to MAX_SUPPLY
- Locks MAX_SUPPLY via LOCK_SUPPLY
- Locks MAX_MINT via LOCK_MINT
- Cancels all future BTNS ACTION commands for token
- Transfers token ownership to burn address
- Destroys all TICK token supply (including tokens held in addresses) -
I just tried to think of the most destructive way to explode a token.... open to suggestions 🙂
-
its just a fun feature to play around with... some ppl do want their tokens to go kaboom randomly 😛

Hi there,
I sent my BTC from FREE WALLET three weeks ago and it still stuck.
So I use electrum to do CPFP, just press OK, no problem, right? -

I tried a few times and the screen switched.
Do I just press the OK button in this state? -

All fixed, I updated and can now multisend, thanks
-
Can I do this with Free Wallet?
-
....yes friend. All your doing is creating a TX to send your balance to yourself. And the $10-20 fee is to compensate that Stuck Transaction
-
Miner should pick both TXs and confirm them, as they broadcast from same wallet address

hey there guys - i just searched through the issues on github and can't find the right keywords that match my behaviour
- i'm finding many xcp/<token> pairs (mostly pepes) exist on counterwallet.io but within the exchange tab of freewallet
- this is forcing me to use the former to trade, which i'd rather not
- should i create an issue for this? -
Can you give an example?
-
sure - PEPERULES
-
-
-
also, if i wait long enough, my desktop client ALWAYS returns NaN of NaN for the collection
-
the fees on counterwallet.io have made this quite an expensive issue
-
In Freewallet, type in XCP/PEPERULES
-
-
you mean the 'add market' workflow?
-
-
-
-
-
aaah
-
nothing happens, and as a bonus, despite removing the xcp/peperules tab i created earlier, it keeps reappearing
-
-
fyi - this worked months ago when i bought some cards then
-
my client was upgraded - in fact i reinstalled it completely last week
-
-
which leads to the question - what clients are ppl using to trade on xcp markets?
-
-
me too - except for my last 3 purchases
-
even search is messed up out of 252 markets, these are the ones that match 'peperules'?
-
-
ok, i'll go to github and try to write this up - it's probably something with my client config
-
It glitches
-
Opening and closing the wallet. Usually ends up working eventually
-
The Dispenser tabs and Exchange
-
i've been doing exactly that for years :) not working this time
-
Cool features when they work
-
😆
-
Server lag maybe...
-
you must use the UPPERCASE letters to view the exchange
-
the data "resetting" or showing the wrong data when you search just the asset and not the pair is a known issue
-
you typed in: xcp/peperules when you have to type in XCP/PEPERULES

by searching this way in the markets tabs you can literally see markets that don't have any order history at all:

how so? is it showing your correct value on your public address on xchain/blockstream ? (counterparty explorers/ btc explorers)
-
-
Ya I keep buying Rare Pepes and Danks.

Seem to be a glitch

When Rebate

The price if Bitcoin is going down
-
-
The "$" is variable
-
"$" value isn't always accurate. Most of the time it is
-
if the BTC value on block explorers isn't changed then its just the USD value that is shifting
-
Just enter your address in mempool.space and if there's no TX....your sat balance is unchanged...
-
-
I am looking at your address on blockstream.info and I am seeing 3 recent tx's
-
-
actually 4, but 3 recent... you dont have to post your address publicly here, but I do know it (your main issuing address) because we have traded before
