the btc spent in 1st send won't be returned to you .. it will just languish on chain in the p2sh address you sent it to -

if you cpfp n get that 1st tx confirmed then what ? you lack the knowledge n skills to make the second tx ... if you in a hurry start over

getting this error on an MPMA send , any idea why its breaking? -
Something weird, sorted now but juts unusual. Turned on laptop and opened FW, but, all accounts were gone, asking if I wanted to import a wallet or create a new one. Had to enter seed and create all dispenser wallets etc. Anyone else had FW just reset on them?!? -

Tbh the best option for sends, fees, fee bump and CPFP options import your FW addy using the private key in to electrum wallet, this gives you fee rate, sat/vb rate and tells you how far from mempool tip you will be at that fee rate. Then allows you to bump fees after tx is transmitted to speed things up

I do it for yrs fren it's not unrealistic and electrum is a safe trusted BTC wallet

You still need FW for xcp tokens etc

GL the mobile version is simpler to use that desktop, you can also link it to you btc node etc if you want, it also supports lighting network too

But lighting etc won't work of legacy wallet addy needs to create a new wallet in electrum and then set up lighting

There is no option to bump as far as I know

you could try to decode the txhex add an additional input and output on the second step of multisend

I just top up the fees before broadcast on those learnt my lesson

i got as far as decoding txhex and adding outputs but i not got around to adding a input yet

not until custom outputs are added or you decode tx hex yourself and add .. but you can't do that until a cp api issue with dust size in multsend is fixed .. I opened a issue on git hub but it didn't make most recent release

I havent tried since as fee rates spiked not long after.
FW had been restarted, PC had not.
So plenty to try next time :) -

multisend is a two step two tx process .. that error relates to the second tx .. as the second tx references the first.
Its a trick I don't fully understand all the inner workings of but basically data is written in the first tx and then second tx consumes the output(s) from the first and finally when the 2nd tx confirms the data is executed by Counterparty -
could the issue with this error message then be the user might not have enough btc in the wallet to cover the second tx?

I think the second tx routine only fires after the first tx has been broadcast ..but mempool load could mean it's not being seen

so perhaps if pay a crazy high fee error goes away ?

TXs can be seen on mempool with their 1gb or more mempool but not all nodes have such large mempools

hmm i wonder if FW does a check to see if the second tx could even be successfully processed before sending the 1st tx to prevent possible loss of the first tx's btc fee?

im assuming the multisend didnt "work" but was a btc tx done when you saw this message is what im asking?

the "0:" i think is a reference to the first output from the first step tx .. which the becomes the input of the second ... its some kind of script that has a 3 address .. its the special p2sh used by multisend
so first tx probably got sent and you will see a 3 address was paid some satoshis .. and that is now sitting waiting for the second one to be broadcast -
which would be visible i assume on a btc block explorer for that addy as an unconfirmed tx?

it's has two outputs .. the first starts with a 3 and is the multisend payload in a p2sh .. its then consumed by tx 2 and counterparty then updates

Gm, trying to send some sats from a segwit address in Freewallet.
I can see the balance but itâs failing to send, the âsigning counterparty transactionâ goes on forever but never broadcasts. I canât import the private key elsewhere as it says âfalseâ instead of a string (first time seeing this but a few other segwit addresses in my wallet seem to have the same issue).
