Can anyone explain to me why one tx with a btc fee of 0.00004 was 16.1 sat/vb but then 20 minutes later the same tx with a btc fee of 0.0004 was 6.0 sat/vb? -

check how many utxo inputs are in each tx
if your wallet has a lot of dust utxos and the second send had to get composed of multiple utxo's, that's a heavier payload in byte size terms, so for the same fee, more bytes, worse ratio -

I'm minting on the stamp protocol and the issue is specific with preview images of stamps that are html code.
Html coded stamps don't show where as png/jpg/gif images do show in the xchain explorer preview image.
Don't know if that clears things up a little more... -
It may be something to reference on the CIP's area for Counterparty - I'm sure a dev could give you a more detailed answer

yes.... you create an account, add an address to your account and verify ownership... after that, you can add an icon to any asset owned by the verified address.... OR... pay for enhanced asset info service.... the video on the above page walks through the process

why does the xchain multisend transaction from my wallet show as "Transaction unrealted to your wallet" when I view it from same address in Electrum?

iirc - when you set up a dispenser you can choose any source address you want so it looks like it’s from another address. Like you said same was done for Satoshi’s addy. -
in a technical way of seeing it, how do the tokens that are to be escrowed leave your address in this process to be "dispensed" to the people buying on that dispenser address?

since i learned by: manually sending the assets to dispenser addy - then setting up dispenser on that addy (that i hold the keys for) - this is confusing... and I never asked before but now i am

I guess technically the issuer is setting up a dispenser on that address (unknown to the actual addy owner) - so that addy will receive the funds and the buyer receives asset normally. Whomever set these up was clever enough to use the addys that were already sending btc to each other so now it looks like crazy volume.

When a token gets included in a project that project sets the image for that token…. That image is not meant to… just like artist are not meant to submit artwork to a project get artwork approved by that project and then have the artwork change after it is approved.
When you submit your artwork to a project, make sure you’re submitting the final artwork and that it will not change .
Updating artwork from projects is a manual thing because, again, the artwork is never supposed to change .
Xchain shows the image from the project the first time the project includes the asset … the images not meant to change.
Perhaps stop changing artwork on tokens associated with projects , and then you’ll stop having problems.
As of right now , to update us on xchain, is a manual thing which requires my time and effort to fix… which I am NOT compensated for…. My time is better spent building tools, not wasting time manually fixing images for ppl
I am working on building some automated tools, so I don’t have to fix these issues manually
TLDR… stop changing your artwork once you submit it to a project -

Maybe artist shouldn’t submit artwork until they’re happy with it…
It is a strange assumption that you can have artwork finalized and included in something like say a project or an art gallery …. And then think you can just go back and change it.
The Mona Lisa is not pulled off the wall to be updated …. Neither should token artwork..
If you’re unhappy with your artwork, keep working on it until you get it to its final phase then you put it in projects and museums … you do not submit artwork which is not completed. -

Artist can update their artwork at any time on their own…. Until the artwork is included in a project… at which point the image is locked and should not change

This is why asset images are locked once they are included in a project.
Someone else is more than welcome to write another Blockchain explore, which shows just the information from the asset json.
I felt it was important to show, and link to all the various projects that are running on Counterparty and associated with tokens so I have projects tell me what cards and images to use. -
Couldn’t hurt… would save me answering the questions again and again…. Tho xchain is closed source / personal project…. So tend to not want feedback area on xchain…. Don’t need more support headaches from ppl asking same questions…. Prefer to spend my time coding not explaining n being customer support

Yes. Counterparty has taproot encoding and support for taproot addresses in a PR….. freewallet has signing of taproot addresses in a PR…. Just need time to test and implement into freewallet and Counterparty-lib.
Also need to hammer out a method for migrating file data out of the CP database before enabling taproot and encoding of larger data files… prolly at least a couple months out. -

I think it's a pretty clever trick, but it's a pretty shitty way to generate volume to try to sell some tokens on a dispenser you control. If you sort the 36 dispensers for OXBT by the cheapest, it's opened up on its issuance address. -

So Counterparty was initially made for people to create blockchain-based digital shares, currencies, redeemable coupons, etc. Outside of a few early experiments, the first project to use it to make collectibles (digital trading cards) was called Spells of Genesis, in 2015.
Rare Pepes followed the next year.
Rare Pepe refers to a specific collection of Pepe trading cards but there are several other Pepe collections and independent Pepes outside of any collection. -
You can basically create assets for any purpose or artwork you'd like... they don't have to follow this or that standard. You just need a pointer to an image file (or in the case of Ordinals or Bitcoin Stamps, the blockchain) in the Description field of the asset.

I used to do great in academia, always got good grades, ended up teaching English when Spanish was my native language, I used to tutor college kids on calculous, I took classes on economics...I mean I felt like I could conquer the world, but I've always been sick.
I was born with broken bones, had to wear leg braces for the 1st 5 years of my life, I'm missing organs, ...
Sorry for the long list... but, my mind behaves differently now as, none of us are exempt... Im getting older and, yes, it takes me longer to learn or do anything now.
In 2021, I was hoping by then I would have managed to have learned how to design my own digital assets and great people encouraged me!
@AryanJab tried showing me then and Jdog was very patient with many questions I had...
But my health worsened and my job became even more stressful, so I had no bandwidth to continue wth my learning, basically. -
Max's Stacy had ran into some of my artwork from an old blog I used to keep, so she encouraged me to post as much of my art as I could in their Orange Pill TM group.
There, Vizique and I struck convo and he told me about scarce.city, where Chiefmonkey and I started talking about the kind of illustrations I make. This led to my being able to auction my physical illustrations at Chris & Aryan's site. -

When it comes down to making "animated" art Id say a significant amount of people are pretty well versed (have many hours learning and designing) or learn fast when using creative software to make gifs, video, Augmented etc etc.... but when it comes to the Counterparty side of things it is as simple as linking an image file to a description or a video file.

the idea of digitally sending tokens over a cryptographic network was weird to me at first, but receiving your first asset (or making your own) will teach you alot in a short amount of time!

If i had to speculate. The seller works at Crypto dot com or knows someone who works there, and had the inside scoop about a future address that would become active. This allowed them to set-up the dispenser before it started to have activity and not require the private key.

Btw, I totally get the rationale for not allowing you to open a dispenser on an address that already has activity. Essentially you could DDOS Counterparty. We may already be seeing that with OXBT… go check the dispenses tab on xchain
