Yeah I've actually considered this myself. Set up a swap bot at tokenly.com and have the receipt be sent atomatically. All you have to do is set up the rules and load the swapbot with your assets titled as a receipt.

I disagree. There should always be concurrent development for an option to jump ship if needed. Redundancy is key to anything computer related.
Continuing on the current path of development is great. However in this market, this organization needs to be positioned in a way so that when a new technology/ a "crypto 3.0" is available (for actual use) then this group of people should be the first to implement a type of or preferably the actual counterparty system on it.
Tezos, iota, byteball... Best case scenario counterparty is completely mirrored on and integrated with one of these.
Disclaimer: the above statement is a Vision. not meant to be practical tomorrow. however it would make sense to be a long-term goal. -

this Aeternity project is such a joke.
They pre-sold (worthelss) ETH based tokens to have an ICO for a blockchain that does not exist yet. So many problems with the tokens not getting to wallets, and users losing funds.

oh well, imho this project seems doomed anyhow... as there is a fundamental problem at its core: The anonymous commander has problems with reality.

Well you're breaking one of the Cardinal rules right there. Never leave your funds on Exchange especially that much. are you freaking serious right now?

The problem you're looking at is that neither one of those exchanges keeps that much counterparty tokens in an active account. They're going to have to get it out of Cold Storage if you're planning on cashing out. that's going to take a while I'm sure depending on where you're going.

XCP runs on top of bitcoin.... XCP does not have its own chain... Cmon bro... stop playing ignorant... you've been here long enough to know this stuff man.... XCP transactions cost bitcoin fees... the higher fee you pay the faster your transaction gets processed..... you can't pay a low fee and then complain about Counterparty not working or being slow.... You also can't expect anyone here to answer your "why does X transaction process faster than Y transaction".... the answer is always going to be the exact same... FEES... if you pay a decent fee, your transaction gets included in a block... if you pay a low fee, you have to sit and wait... if you don't like sitting and waiting, pay a higher fee.

Funny thing is.... ppl have reached out to me to fork freewallet, I asked for a minimum donation, and rather than donate for me to fork the wallet for them, they go out and hire other developers to fork the wallet and pay them..... .then I have developers who ARE getting paid for forking my project asking me questions..... really frustrating knowing ppl are ripping your stuff off and not showing any appreciation for it.

every open source dev faces this issue.... I know of a few other ppl working on CP projects who are purposely not releasing things as open source because they have had their previously released open source projects stolen/rebranded without any sort of compensation..... It isn't just me who feels this way... i'm just more vocal about the bitching.... other devs are just quietly making decisions to not release projects as open source, which on a whole hurts the community.... but I 100% understand the decision

I was 100% aware that ppl would fork my code and run with it when I released it... what I did not expect was for people to be so cheap as to pay other developers to work on a tool I wrote, rather than going straight to the source.

it doesnt.... CP multi-sig addresses (2_addr1_addr2_addr3_3) addresses were broken about a year ago by a change in bitcoin core..... unfortunately, AFAIK nothing we can really do at this time to fix it since it was broken upstream..... honestly tho, that is fine... Was never really a fan of the custom CP multi-sig addresses.... CP can work with any bitcoin address, so using existing multi-sig solutions is probably better solution long-term
