@jdogresorg
please tell me that Bitcoin softfork is occured to 2021/11/15, this upgrade impact to counterparty-lib , or cli ??
I wanna know that I should upgarde my btc node to new version?? -
sounds like the reason why you can't actually buy within the OpenSea app. Only browse.
-
oh damn, I have to make sure that doesnt happen on my phone. Need Freewallet
-
Gm, RarePepe i sent to Emblem Vaults deposit address is hidden in +Credits, but the balance is 0
-
Can i add some satoshi to the transaction fee from 4 Days ago?
-
Post address please… I did a reparse of the last 6 days so should be good now
-
Can a token be made a sub asset after the fact? Like Can I add a existing card to another card ?
-
no.... a subasset extends from a named parent token... you need to decide if you want a named asset, subasset, or numeric asset at the time you create the asset/token
-
Thank you
-
Did something dumb accidently sending some bitcoin from a 3 address to an address with an active dispenser. So some assets got dispensed to the 3 address. Is there any plans to eventually add 3addr support to Freewallet? I have the private key but when importing it, gets converted to a 1addr and, obviously, doesn't see the assets.
-
-
Any luck? 😒
-
-
-
Yes we’ll add support in the coming months
-
Thank you. I’ll just hang tight
-
Gotta ask indiesquare, as it’s a app by the company.
-
still cant get the keys.. now the owner is the0x000 address and the Get Keys options is not there... @jdogresorg any clue on what is going on?
-
0x000 is like a ETH format.... not a bitcoin format address.... prolly best to ask the developers of emblem... not me 🙂
-
FYI... freewallet mobile should be back in app store on iOS.... I needed to pay them their yearly developer vig in order for them to put the app back active
-
👍
-
join here and post your link to the vault - https://t.me/EmblemVault_Support
-
Is this app up to date?
-
eh... it hasn't been updated in a few years... so no mpma support, no dispensers, no segwit address support.... but it works for normal/legacy addresses and sends, issuances, etc
-
ie.. the basics work
-
will be writing a web-based wallet in 2022 that will work for browsers and mobile devices with the plan to replace freewallet.io (not a fan of doing native apps for iOS and Android)
-
-
😂
-
Hi I was just wondering is there a way to do like a limited uniswap-like feature in freewallet BTC to Doge. Sometimes, binance is a pain, converting and then transferring funds. So when someone has some btc in freewallet, it can be converted to doge so he can send it to dogewallet directly without passing to binance or other dex.
-
Hi everyone. Its with deep regret and embarrassment that I need to inform the community my wallet was just hacked and all my funds stolen. Someone named Darren Hu was offering to help me recover a wallet that had a lost Pepenormies dispenser inside and I gave them what I thought was encrypted information and someone in the community trying to help me. Never ever believe anyone that tells you to encrypt your key because they can find a way to get your asset back, or at least know where it is on the blockchain. I am not tech saavy with coding or anything but I obviously put to much trust into someone I didn't know. And I thought my information was secure. Be very careful and know that there could be some people lurking around in our community that are trying to take what we have an using our vulnerabilities to expose us. For me my vulnerability was to try and recover something I had lost and thinking that my info was safe, when it wasn't. I don't want anyone to ever experience what I am feeling right now. I am embarrassed to have lost everything, but hopefully everyone can learn and be more aware because of this.
-
Really sorry to hear about your loss bro.... you should never share your 12-word passphrase or private keys with anyone online (myself included)..... doesn't help you out much now... but sorry for your loss.. and thank you for helping to warn the community against these scammers 🙁
-
Hold on brother! And thanks for warnings - just DM me your fresh addy so I can fill a little your new wallet emptiness ;)
-
Thanks bro...nothing anyone can do now expect I want everyone to learn from this. Thank you for the words.
-
Cool :)
-
@jdogresorg See this reply from me to a tweet from you. It's about two pictures from "Age of Chains" that should be swapped when showed on xchain.io.
https://twitter.com/XChain_io/status/1437642363569008647XChainJust put out an update to xchain.io which indicates cards that are "official" and the projects they are associated with (rare pepe, bitcorns, spells of genesis, mafia wars, etc). This should make identifying fake rares much easier for users :) #Counterparty #XCP
-
Nothing it’s trash IMO but you can try to sell on dispensers or dex
-
-
-
How? That’s not possible at a protocol level the way it is designed now.
-
Don't click this
-
not sure you want to.... check the forums... lots of complaints about it
-
hello, if you are the owner of the .1 BTC TEST dispenser, can you please contact me, I accidentally sent you some funds that were meant to go elsewhere
-

-
-
yeah i meant to send the funds to the scarce city burn party for hansei pepe and fucked up
-
so please, if you own the TEST dispenser, address bc1qfjy7tsnfktke64mz3zrzgf2c9dfj9gfr8z0dzj please reach out
-
@jdogresorg I think dispensers should return the paid BTC, with a send fee deducted, if they are closed or can't dispense the full amount of the asset paid for.
In this way it would be perfectly safe to use dispensers. -
BTC cant be escrowed by the counterparty protocol, so this is not somethiing that is fesible.... working on "trusted dispensers" solution in the near future so that dispenser operators identify who they are... so if overpayment happens or something strange, the buyer knows who to contact to request refund, etc
-
xchain.io tells about pending dispenses and deducts the pending dispenses from the available amount (so does freewallet), so I do my best to help protect ppl from sending to a dispenser when it wont send them anything back... but in some cases, it is unavoidable... and that is why I am working on trusted dispensers solution... to link contact info to individual dispensers 🙂
-
we have a pretty honest community here... most times you can just ask around about a transaction or dispenser and the people will get in contact with you and give the funds back, etc.
-
+1
-
I recently used the "buy now" button to buy 1 xcp for 0.00029999 BTC but there was 0.00029998 BTC sent and lacking 1 satoshi I didn't get anything back. So now I calculate myself and use the send function in FreeWallet.
So BTC sent can't be bounced back with send fee deducted. I know about the pending dispenses and think that is a good protection against loosing BTC. -
SPAM
-
BTC is push payment. Once it’s sent, it can’t bounce back. It needs a signature from the receiving address to send back.
-
make sure your on the latest version of freewallet-desktop

Help with what?

Probably a crazy idea: what if the Counterparty protocol added special support for a new "stable" asset (say, xbtc) whose value is pegged 1to1 to btc? And thus could be escrowed just like any other asset, and used instead of btc on the dex and in dispensers. Note: I didn't think this through and am just thinking out loud so not sure if this is feasible
-
"Error while trying to sign dispenser transaction" in Freewallet.
Anyone got anything here?
@jdogresorg tyvm for any help when you wake up -
Already been done in the past but the company/service doing the btc to xbtc would be a money exchange n need to get licensed in all 50 states….
-
Signing error is just an issue in your wallet…. Switch addresses and switch back try again
-
Hi @jdogresorg im logged into the online counterparty wallet and i see a item in a Dispenser i made. I have the option to "Close Dispenser" what happens to the card when i close dispenser does it go back to original address?
-
-
Anyone knows what will happen to the "item" when you close the dispenser? Also, does the Dispenser have a expiry date like with other marketplace orders?
-
Closing a dispenser credits u back anything left in the dispenser
-
You also have testnet where u can test stuff out before doing actions on mainnet
-
I would suggest using freewallet desktop as it works well with dispensers…. Counterwallet has issues with non-divisible tokens
-
can someone give me a quick eli5 about dispensers. been out of counterparty loop for a while
-
Send btc to an address. Receive tokens.
-
Thank you @jdogresorg exactly what i needed to know

Any other tips / tricks? I've switched addresses many times, restarted computer, and keep getting error while trying to sign msg

What xcp needs is a wallet like phantom and a exchange like magic eden.

Logout of wallet, close it, reopen it, import 12-word passphrase

Yes it should work for smaller sends…. Working on getting it working reliably up to 1000 sends… should hopefully put out a new release next week with the updates

I have 1 confirmation but the payment countdown is still ticking like payment hasn't been received. Is this to be expected?
-
nevermind, I got an email confirmation although the counter still ticking down. I guess I can ignore.
-
Yeah, so it timed out... but it now works... so I guess the payment went thru
-
@jdogresorg has made an amazingly useful service in coindaddy. I register all my XCP assets with it. The UI for the checkout screen does leave something to be desired but overall A+, IMO.
-
yeah using it now. Works great. I was just confused by the countdown.
-
agreed it's confusing in that it doesn't detect the payment. Still seems like we should praise Jdog at every step for keeping XCP alive for the years where no one was interested
-
-
Yeah real-time payment detection isn’t working yet on the invoice payment page…. If you send a payment and it’s detected within a few hours you should be good to go😀👍🏻
-
What is coindaddy for? Not clear from the website upon first or second glance. 😃
-
Hosting the json information and picture files for tokens
-
That appear on xchain for the tokens
-
can even make a mini site for your token there
-
Asset registration, selling assst ownership, and enhancing assets with more info
-
super handy well worth any nominal payments
-
-
The $5 fee per year for enhanced asset - anyway to increase it for x amount of years ?
-
Why do I need to register them? Never registered my nfts before. The answer to the question Why is missing on the website. What is the value proposition exactly? There is a risk to signing up to any website with an existing email address, this risk is heightened with crypto transactions, and it takes time to create a burner one.
-
What exactly are you trying to do?
-
The registration service is just a way to register/issue a named asset without having to obtain xcp beforehand… you can just pay coindaddy in btc and we’ll register the asset name and send it to your desired address
-
You don’t have to register them it’s a service if you choose to use it or not, can host your own json files wherever you want too
-
-
Can anybody break down why there is * on the json file
-
Cuz u put it in the description… update and remove the * and it should work
-
I didn't, it automatically added it
-
Just tried it again and it's showing again
-
“It”? What is it?
-
-
If I use the asset longname will that work instead of the A67.....
-
The application
-
The wallet
-
Lol
-
Copy/paste the description n manually remove the * then do the issuance
-
That's what I did
-
Many wallets… details… freewallet mobile, desktop, counterwallet, etc?
-
Freewallet.io and counterwallet
-
Tried both
-
Hrm…. Not hearing of this issue for anyone else…. Try freewallet desktop
-
On plane… going offline for a bit
-
@Mblingbrdfrk had the same issue
-
Figured it out, when I replace asset name that was generated by coindaddy.io , with the long asset name it works just fine
-
now i just wasted 30 min
-
gets addictive
-
strange... asset description should be set to whatever you specify, not sure why there is an extra * being added for you at times... but glad you managed to get it to work properly for ya 🙂
-
-
strange... how many you trying to send to? i've run into an issue sending sometimes as well, and am working with Javier to get it resolved in the next release so ppl can send up to 1000 MPMA sends reliably... here is one that worked just a few hours ago to 157 people... https://xchain.io/tx/bf4b3b4fe78dea348c379384a239e050ed8c23ebb0a783ab54963bc84c31eb34

I was trying to send to around 30 different addresses. I can wait until next release and see if it's still an issue
-
thanks for your patience 🙂

I have a subasset I created last night. I've set the 48x48 pixel thumbnail and it appears on the page, but in search results its still the generic Counterparty logo. Is it just a matter of time for the search index to refresh or am I doing something wrong? This is the one I'm talking about: https://xchain.io/asset/CHAMPAGNETNT.SIGNED
-
-
i mean when you search it in the results
-
-
gotcha
-
seems to just take a few days before they appear
-
right. that's fine. Just didn't know if it was something I could remedy or not. Ill wait
-
It takes like 24 hours for the asset icon to be updated on xchain
-
👍

I wrote this tool to resolve that problem and allow recovery of the 12-word passphrase

You can login to counterwallet, drop the private keys for the addresses and import into freewallet

It’s only supposed to work with one passphrase really
-
@jdogresorg
I have a hypothesis about how dispensers can be made in a safe way for the buyer.
Use the code for exchanges in Counterparty. Workings are almost exactly as when buying from a Counterparty exchange with btcpay. The exchange has only one saleprice in BTC for the asset.
1. The buyer places a buy order with FreeWallet and keeps the wallet open.
2. The order is matched.
3. The BTC is sent with btcpay.
In this way the user has to have FreeWallet open during the process but are protected against another person buying a conflicting amount of the asset at approximately the same time.
For this to work efficiently appropriate send fees for the moment are needed both for ordermatching and btcpay. Send fee could be up to the user or suggested from some datasource. -
Interesting idea… it would require 2tx fees and get away from the simplicity of being able to buy with a single btc send tho
-
I have question , when I issue subasset Does it have to be equal amount to all assets or I can control the amounts somehow ?
-
it is an entirely new asset which you can treat separately and issue as many as you want
-
you can have 100 PIZZA tokens and 100,000,000 PIZZA.coupon tokens... 🙂
-
Very interesting. Will play around with this
-
But does the 10000000 pizza.coupon has to be equally distributed to 100 pizza tokens ?
-
not at all... you don't have to distribute any to the PIZZA holders
-
its entirely separate asset you can use for whatever, no rules other than limited supply (if locked) and no name change
-
if you do a dividend payment to PIZZA holders, then it will be distributed proportional to how much PIZZA they own.... but, that is only for dividends.
-
So all the new issued subassets are generated in to the issuer address right ?
-
Got it thanks
-
correct
-
👍🙏

XCP\BTC | Trade Ethereum to Bitcoin on cryptocurrency exchange P2PB2B
P2PB2B ✅exchange purchase sale of cryptocurrency✅ XCP\BTC the highest coin liquidity ✅Buy Sell Ethereum to Bitcoin, minimum commissions
-
Doesn't seem to be much trading volume on p2pb2b.io.... the community paid for the exchange listing, yet no real trading is happening on it.... we want to make sure that we get decent trading volume going through the exchange listings before we consider adding any more exchange listings.... if you have XCP, you should do some buying/selling on p2pb2b.io to help support the exchange listing.
-
we need to get at least 5-10k/day running through it before we can get the exchange listing added to coinmarketcap.com and coingecko.com.... which will then drive more traffic to those exchange markets.
-
looking into this...
-
-
you speaking of an order for BTC?
-
using BTC on the dex is a bit more complex, and requires the person buying with BTC to use a wallet which listens for order matches and then sends the BTC payment for the order match within 20 blocks... if that does not happen, then the order match expires
-
if you want to buy something with BTC on the DEX, you should use freewallet-desktop and enable auto-btcpay.... and leave the wallet open to monitor for BTC order matches and then send the BTC to pay for the order match... otherwise, your order will match, no payment will be sent, and then it will expire
-
using BTC on the DEX is a bit more complex than the fire-n-forget style of orders that "just work" for every other asset
-
if you want to sell something for BTC...best to just use a dispenser
-
as dispensers are a single BTC transaction and much easier to use than using BTC on the DEX (using BTC on the dex works, but is a bit more complex, and we created dispensers to make using BTC to buy stuff a bit easier than the DEX)
-
@jdogresorg
On the PEPECASH/XCP exchange there has been two occasions lately when orders hasn't matched for hours despite the same buy and sell price.
The latest I observed was today with a buy order for PEPECASH at 0.0015 XCP per PEPECASH. Someone sold PEPECASH for 0.0015 XCP per PEPECASH and yet there was no affair for the coming blocks.
Before these happenings I have observed buy and sell being of by one Satoshi and then the matching took one extra block. This is not the fact now when no matching and no affair completes.
To force an affair you have to buy a small amount higher than the set rate or sell a small amount lower than the set rate. This shouldn't be the case.

-
I was just discussing it with other ppl
-
apparently the owner of the asset updated the description 1 month ago to point to an image
-
can anyone confirm this?
-
35k tokens were created before UMBRELLA, and most of them are unlocked. If owners can change the description to point to a photo then it holds little to no value
-
I'd like to hear what others think
-
yea.... Most people think to seem the art is IN the blockchain. That's just not how it be.
-
you can also just name a different image same file name it was before, just hash based or full bytedata links with locked assets wouldn't change
-
That's not the point though
-
-
any art can be changed on any nft platform that I am aware of, the method to being different in each case
-
-
those 600 UMBRELLA tokens apparently represented shares
-
of umbrellas for sale
-
-
it looks like none were sold
-
the token pointed to the website 7 years ago
-
-
1 month ago, the owner changed the description to point it a photo of an umbrella
-
-
-
-
would u say it's a 7 year old NFT though?
-
-
-
people are minting them on emblem vault now and labeling it 2014 historic NFT
-
which is misleading
-
-
-
-
that's pretty cool actually
-
I think there are some people collecting things that will have historical significance in the bitcoin space
-
well it is a non fungible token, is it not?
-
there was a bunch of tokens in 2014 for some fantasy football game too
-
-
-
do search on Twitter, recently brought up , forget details
-
That's also another discussion to have.
The point here is that Token did not point to a photo before 2021-10-08 -
NFT =/= Art
-
NTF=NFT
-
so do you think Umbrella token holds value?
-
if so, why?
-
so do you think Umbrella token HAS value?
obviously, look at the market -
so do you think Umbrella token WILL HOLD value?
that remains to be seen -
But what if I told you thousands of other tokens can basically do that same
-
depends on your specific question
-
then I would respond (hypothetically, I don't know the whole story) that since this was the first(?) token for the sale of a physical object, that it holds historical significance to people who value that sort of thing
-
and so, No, no other token could do such a thing
-
I don't think people are buying them for that reason though
-
have you asked or are you assuming?
-
as far as I can tell, they're buying it thinking it was minted in 2014 pointing to that photo (what I initially thought and almost bought it before I done more research)
-
(and if youre talking about the average mEth head, then yea, I'm sure most of them are just aping right now)
-

you have 100k XCP and you have no idea ?
-
-
my friend's account not mine
-
is there a way to sell it or convert it to usdt?
-
use freewallet.io to access it
-
then setup a dispensor
-
someone can buy it from you for bitcoin
-
Is it possible to sell it easily? ie stock market price
-
100k xcp at stock market price? nope, not enough volume currently
-
best bet IMHO is to sell via dispensers (over n months) and be patient
-
Can you give more detailed information about this?
-
You def don’t have 100k xcp

出力に失敗しててもこの小ささでピッタリ収まった(二次硬化はしていない)。細かい文字はフィルムの負担が少なそうなので、輪郭が安定しそうな水平出力も同時に試してみようと思う。
-
There is xusd gold, xcp swap is easy
-
200k xusdgold
-
if you want to buy i can show you
-
-
nope... need to use freewallet-desktop and enable the auto-btcpay feature for BTC order matches on the dex to work properly.
-
So just a normal tx , but making sure wallet remains open and I checked auto-btcpay. Right?
-
-
I'll buy it please show me the wallet address
-
Yeah - no you won’t
-
Trust me
-
Hola que puede ser este error counterpartylib.lib.exceptions.DatabaseError: Integrity check failed
-
-
You can create your own json file and point to that…
-
Okay so they're creating a .Json file that points to a longer .Json file?
-
-
Link?
-
To asset?
-
-
Json file allows for extended ‘enhanced’ info
-
-
-
Good question! What’s up with that j-dog?
-
-
Asset description can be longer than 52 characters
-
Believe u can do this in freewallet… if not, try counterwallet

why is the status of this order 'filled' while there is some sell quantity remaining? https://xchain.io/tx/1773772
-
Counterparty needs something like Opensea or this https://raretoshi.com/market
I know we have xchain.io but it doesn't have a market view, so people can't check latests arts and offersLinkUpload, collect, and transact rare digital art on the Liquid Network

What do you guys think of this?

I think about XMR https://old.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/m3t2o2/xmr_tail_emission/Xmr Tail emission
New to xmr just curious, What are the theoretical outcomes of monero as a currency or as an asset once the block rewards becomes fixed forever....

I prefer it run to 0. I think the fees will pay for the network.
I just think the Bitcoin community should really embrace CP because if they do, it could carry the fee market. -

can anyone here help me with the TEST 400 TG group club bot?
-
i think u need own on rpw, wish my TEST counted in my freewallet
-
it doesnt look like it works with segwit addresses which is dumb
-
its the same thing. Just import your seed
-
it wont accept my bc1 address
-
ahhh
-
yeah youre right
-
which is segwit
-
so yeah its dumb
-
dumb bot oh well, looks like i wont be in the group because im not moving it
-
You can use segwit addresses with freewallet.io desktop version. Note that everyone here that is developing features for wallets, explorers etc is doing this as volunteer for the benefit of the entire community. If you would like to request specific new features to be fast tracked may I recommend you contribute a donation to the appropriate dispensers pinned to this chat. We will have a full time dev in the near future but this was only made possible by the generous donations of our awesome community members. Declaring that "this is dumb" is not helpful.
-
-
-
I was talking about a telegram bot to verify that I hold a specific asset that doesn’t work with segwit addresses. Xcp is awesome, even though it’s held together by a string and runs on a ui from 2004. I think that’s part of its appeal honestly
-
Held together by a string? It doesn’t get tons of new features every few months like some other platforms, but it works amazingly well and is pretty solid…. No real downtime beyond a few hours over the years…. Maybe taking the comment too personally… but I think CP is pretty solid
-
Much prefer the xchain interface to something like OpenSea. I’m hoping a lot of fluff isn’t added.

a little spit and polish is all we need
-
The protocol is dope. I should have clarified I was talking about the UI in freewallet. You’ve done an amazing job keeping the ship afloat. I’m just saying there’s lots of room for improvement from a use ability perspective. There’s a reason people vault xcp assets.
-
How do I do a protocol burn?
-
-
-
-
-
You can’t burn… you can destroy
-
-
How about by sending to this address?
http://host2.xchain.io/address/1CounterpartyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXUWLpVr -
^ spam
-
That just sends tokens to an unusable address… versus destroy makes the supply lower
-
Can destroy be done via the Counterparty.io web wallet?
-
I am trying to find this function now
-
Counterwallet.io
-
I meant that one
-
-
-
Hi everyone
-
once an asset has been created with the divisible flag, can it be made indivisible afterwards?
-
Not yet - JDog is working on it
-
Thanks, good to know!
-
so ordering of the orders is done by FEE / PRICE priority?
case in point
—> sell order for 1x ASSET at 100 XCP
seeing this, the following two buy orders for ASSET are placed:
1) one at 101 XCP with 1$ fee
2) one at 100 XCP with 5$ fee
both buy orders confirmed in the same block, the 100 XCP buy with 5$ fee got filled
is there a human readable matching logic description somewhere?
@jdogresorg -
not sure what is the reason for what you have observed but fee doesn't have anything to do with it
-
-
It seems like miners order transactions based on fees, which then affects the order in which the Counterparty order book receives and fills them.
I wanted to get that DANKPEPE too, but I was too lazy to get back up, turn my computer back on, order XCP, then place the order. I haven’t checked to see if enough blocks went by to where I could have had a chance. -
6 blocks, fml- I should have gone for it
-
Yeah seems like it
Also that a certain *someone* only saw the sell order after i had placed my buy -
-
-
-
As I was shutting down, I took a look at the unconfirmed tab and saw Buddha was making sell orders. I considered going after the trump, then just decided to head to bed instead of waiting for a couple more blocks. Wish I had seen that dankpepe too, because those are the two missing from my early series 1. Oh well, at least woke up to a nice BTC pump.
-
Is it a BTC DEx order?
-
-
-
If you are buying with BTC, it should generate a pop up for you to accept the btcpay tx
-
After you do that, it’ll take another tx
-
-
If you’re selling for BTC, you need to hope the other party has their wallet open and confirms within 20 blocks
-
-
Is there a way to force the pop up in freewallet.io?
-
It’s a quirky thing. I’m not sure if the problem is you are not filling in an order completely, so it’s not matching. BTC on the DEx has always been an issue, thus dispensers were created as an alternative.
-
Simply close freewallet, wait for a minute and reopen it and you should get the btcpay pop-up prompt
-
-
Not that I’m aware of. I recently managed to complete an order with BTC, and it just appeared. Maybe what SAM RA suggested will work. Good luck
-
Have you done it with auto-btc pay?
-
Yeah, I got the pop up, had to check something then click okay. After another block, the transfer was complete.
-
-
Don’t you mind if i dm the tx? So you can check if something s wrong
-
Sure
-
I can have a look too if you want
-
-
-
-
-
Someone is in your wallet
-
-
-
I thought about that, but how did he/she get access
-
-
-
-
Did you click on the counter event or bonusbtc links and log in with your pass phrase?
-
They are scams, and they spammed people’s wallets trying to trick them into using their passphrase
-
-
I’m afraid you inadvertently gave them your passphrase, and then they took your XCP.
-
-
Yes
-
-
-
-
you can't make an address and history dissapear
-
there is some other mistake being made
-
-
-
-
sorry about what happened btw
-
that's terrible
