If your want g to hold just btc, prolly best to do so on a hardware wallet…. Both Freewallet and Horizon work with counterparty tokens, both are open source…. I think only Freewallet supports hardware wallet tho (Trezor) -

what if an asset I created is no longer listed on the freewallet exchange?
I tried to look at coin daddy, but none of their services make it clear that they will list a given asset on an exchange -
Unfilled orders expire after about 3 months. Just use the Exchange tab on Freewallet and list it again

I'm getting a Counterparty API error when attempting to do an MPMA send. I tried it in two different wallets (Freewallet and Horizon) with the same result. My wallet has 1 UTXO with 9500 sats. When I send the transaction I get the message "Insufficient funds for the target amount: 9500 < 10000"
I am able to send individual transactions with no problem. -

One thing I’ve learned about Adam is that he’ll do anything to defend his viewpoint as the right one, even when all evidence points to the contrary.
The fact that dispensers were changed in such a way that we no longer are able to onboard users to counterparty by using normal BTC wallets is completely ignored by him.
It’s much easier to blame someone else for all of your problems than it is to take accountability and reflect that perhaps some of the decisions that have been made were made in haste and not in the best interest of the community🤷🏻♂️
But what do I know? I’m just the “angry toxic dev” that supported and built on counterparty for the 10 years that Adam was gone😜 -

Interesting…. Javier n I got p2sh working n signing txs fine on counterparty-classic using bitcoin 28.1 (latest release)…. Which means that p2sh works fine on latest versions of bitcoin, with no changes to counterparty-classic codebase…. Yet counterparty-core has issues with p2sh, which Adam n Ouziel wrongly blamed on Bitcoin changes.

We will be putting out an updated version of counterparty-classic 9.62.1 next week, which uses testnet4 instead of testnet3, and which runs on the latest version of Bitcoin 28.1 with NO loss of functionality and with p2sh encoding continuing to work perfectly fine.
TLDR, counterparty-core devs disabled p2sh encoding unnecessarily (used by MPMA sends) and forced users to the much more expensive multisig encoding, blaming bitcoin for the change, and indicated it’s all ok cuz taproot will be cheaper in the future🤷🏻♂️😂Protocol Change Proposal: Disable P2SH · Issue #2632 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-coreOur P2SH encoding no longer works with recent versions of Bitcoin Core.
