FYI... I have heard some complaints about some data inconsistencies on xchain.io over the last 24 hours, and can confirm that one server (host7) is not syncing properly..... I will be taking xchain.io down for a bit to re-setup all the Master/Slave database replication stuff..... TLDR, xchain will be down for a lil bit... thanks for your patience -

Technically curious, what would cause one of the hosts to not be synching properly vs the the others?

sql replication stoped working on host7..... guessing it is related to a fix a couple months ago where CP choked... I fixed the issue on hosts 1-6 but think I forgot host7 (it was brand new).... looking at the sql replication logs I see some errors about duplicate entries.... so, guessing it is because I manually edited a record on 6 of the servers a couple months ago...

I would expect replication to stop entirely... not just continue on and ignore any errors or conflicts... but apparently that is what mysql replication did... so host7 stayed up on the latest block... so tough to tell something was wrong since all servers showed synced on same block... had to find a specific problem tx and view it on host7 to confirm that the data displayed was different than the other 6......

now took all 7 servers down... transfering all 10 databases to the 7 servers... reimporting them, restarting slave/master, etc etc

I like to take the opportunity to point out that this community is WAY WAY too dependant on one single block explorer and wallet... we need more devs and wallets and explorers in the space.... also... please keep in mind... i'm just one guy.. and I fund most of the xchain servers myself currently (a couple servers have been funded by community members for 1 year... thank you :) ) ... so, any donations to help keep funding and dev going on xchain is appreciated.

main site has "docs" linking to docs.counterparty.io.... so if you go to counterparty.io and click "docs" in the header, you get to the documentation as expected

Thanks for the refresher. I remember Olga. I’m a big fan of base64 w XCP. It’s a shame the stamp fiasco muddied the waters, but a good thing to bring more users. I was wondering if there was a new ‘standard’ ‘project’ or ***-20 for base64 assets. I still can’t understand why the stampers are using free numbered assets with no public indexer or why anyone would use imgurl or equivalent for an asset.

Working on the public and OpenSource indexer ser, we are indexing also named stamps with stamp:base64string, to detecto and Index Olga and ccsatoshi that they dont have the stamp: identifier would be very difficult but IS a thing to study, i like also base64 with counterparty tokens It makes full onchain art

use the contact form on the coindaddy website.... though you can simply "create" a named xcp asset using a wallet like rarepepewallet.wtf or freewallet.io by burning 0.5 XCP... you don't "need" coindaddy to do so

I remember frankenstamp from the named stamp group. That was my vote too and I hold a frankenstamp stamp too. Xcp.ninja calls them cursed stamps. I believe named are not cursed at all.

v9.61.0 release is out... in the process of updating the xchain and API servers... this update requires a rebuild of addrindexrs data, which can take a few hours.

Hey y'all, a few questions about Bitcorns - I'm trying to understand how this works via XCP:
What is the relationship between CROPS and BITCORN? Are BITCORN "dividends" distributed to CROPS holders? Or are they separate tokens? I assume the distribution is relative based on CROPS holdings, and if so how is that automated?
Also, how can a farm add art to its page (or change its name) by signing a message? And does Bitcorns.com automatically add a new farm to the site the moment a new CROPS address comes into existence?
Additionally, how are the "cards" created and then collected/distributed? They each seem like a separately issued token...who's issuing them?

The game is over, all BITCORN has been distributed to holders of CROPS as of early 2022

Cards were submitted and selected for the directory while the harvest period was going on. With the game over, no additional cards can be expected to be added to the directory

There was an interface and functionality in the site that I can't speak to but basically you could upload after signing a message.
Dividends were used at each harvest to distribute the shares of BITCORN to the CROPS holders -
Who was in charge of that directory? Or was there some type of democratic process involving the farms in which cards were accepted or rejected? Also, some farms have certain cards. WEre they rewarded those cards?

There were processes but I can't speak for the acceptance or rejection mechanisms.
Cards were all collected via different methods by each farm owner. Buying, trading, activities, etc were all processes to receive these cards. -
Yes and basically yes. The dividend was based on how much CROPS each address held and there was a yearly halving to the number of BITCORN distributed.
