Once MPMA is implemented into the counterparty protocol, I will release an updated version of FreeWallet.io which will include support for the bulk sends 🙂

AFAIK CIP10 code is done and pending code review.... at this point, just need qualified developers to review the code and do testing to verify all works as desired.... then wrap it up into a release... John created a pull request for the code a while ago

Robby always had commit access.... Folding coin team has said they are familiarizing themselves with the CP codebase in preparation for submitting some improvements and reviewing code.

Commit access was never the issue, getting qualified people to review the open PRs was the issue... we need qualified developers... Indiesquare and FLDC are dedicating resources to work on CP.

A number of users in the community have expressed frustrations with the current max order expiration of 8064 blocks (2 months). The purpose of this post is to discuss interest in increasing the max order expiration and if so, what should the max allowed be? 1.) Could increasing the max_expiration have any negative effects on the CP system (more orders to check for matches each block, etc)? 2.) What should the max_expiration be increased to? New "sweep" transaction type

Basically, “When It Is Ready” (TM). A lot of it depends on how good of a job the community can do testing the EVM code on testnet. Nonetheless, we have an agressive timeschedule (within the guidance of prudent safety measures), and an interest to release as soon as we deem it ready. Realistically, we expect sometime in Autumn of this year (2016) for the mainnet release. -

No official CP team at this point... just a group of volunteers..... but CP has taken a friendly stance on CP forks in the past... the general mindset being that any additional use of the CP protocol could/would result in improvements to the protocol which could be merged back upstream

A few projects have forked CP in the past... Dogeparty was a fork started in 2014 that ran on Dogecoin.... Monaparty is a fork that was started last year to run on Monacoin.... there are few others as well, tho I can't remember them right now

Cool. Are you familiar with Counterparty and the asset/token system? Curious if you realize that by adding support for Counterparty to your exchange you will also have support to add any other counterparty asset easily?...... You may integrate Counterparty for XCP, but there are lots of other projects on Counterparty which you could also add to your exchange.... Spells of Genesis, PEPECASH, Bitcorns, MafiaCash, etc.

Yes, counterparty has a decentralized exchange.... all funds are escrowed directly by the protocol.

Since it is a decentralized exchange, you don't need to apply for anything... you simply need to do the following
-
1.) Register an asset on counterparty using XCP
-
2.) Issue tokens for your asset
-
3.) List some of your tokens for sale on the Counterparty DEX using one of the wallets at counterparty.io/wallets
-
You can then just advertise that your tokens are listed for sale on the DEX and any interested parties can purchase them directly from the DEX
-
there is one caveat.... which is that selling things for BTC on the DEX is a bit more complex..... so, probably best to just list things for some of the more common assets used on the platform..... xcp, pepecash, mafiacash, bitcorns, etc.

you can register an asset on counterparty using xcp in a counterparty compatible wallet (counterparty.io/wallets)...... or you can register an asset directly for BTC using coindaddy.io .... entirely up to you 🙂

No one is an ‘investor’ in Counterparty. You buy XCP to use it. If you bought it to make gains you are a speculator. If you are a speculator you have to be responsible for your own risk. No one wants to constantly hear a poor speculator blaming other people for their poor investment choices.
