Hi, the first thing you have to know is order_matches don't depend on btcpay. The order_matches always work the same way, counterparty chooses always the earliest order that can match the new order and makes the match. If, the new order couldn't be fullfilled, then CP chooses the next one and so on.... The only thing btcpay mechanic changes is that the asset is not delivered immediately to the btc giver, the address must pay the btcs first. -
So, to answer your question, you have to know which one put the order first, 16000 sats one or 17000 sats one?

I’ve found it generally reliable up to 50, with a fee of at least 0.00002… beyond that it gets flaky.

larger txs require larger tx fees..... but, the data encoding is 10x cheaper now, so as long as you pay a decent tx fee on the transaction, it should work fine.... I have sent up to 1000 assets on testnet and mainnet using MPMA without any issues.... tho, the MPMA send of 1000 is about 66 inputs/outputs, so the tx is like 50k, so the tx fee needs to be a bit higher than sending cheap single asset sends... but it should be pretty stable/reliable now if you dont cheap out on the tx fees 🙂

you cant send XCP into an order... you need to place a matching order with the XCP

When Dispensers with XCP payment? -
the whole point of dispensers was that you could buy something with a single tx using BTC (since using BTC on the DEX requires multiple transactions).... dispeners were meant for use with BTC, not XCP

you already have a way to buy/sell things using XCP in a single transaction, that is called an order 🙂

We might consider updating dispeners in the future to allow payment via tokens, but not sure I really see the value in that at this time... I think our efforts are better put towards getting a Virtual Machine (VM) where people can write actual smart contracts and run them on Bitcoin/Counterparty

yeah... you might want to try importing your private key into electrum, then sending all your BTC from yourself back to yourself

that will either 1.) force all the other txs to confirm... or 2.) use the same UTXOs as those pending transactions, so it will be a double-spend attempt, and once the tx is mined, then the old transactions that are trying to use the same utxos will expire from the mempool

electrum might not see all your pending txs... in which case, sending all the BTC from your wallet back to your wallet with a high tx fee (not insane, just high) should make the old txs expire

Basically just oracle operators self-identifying themselves and tying a dispenser to a public account like Twitter….. so u will only use trusted dispensers cuz u know who to contact for a refund/etc if someone overpays or only gets part of what they wanted…. U can still use untrusted dispensers, but u run the same risk you do now with frontrunning/scamming

You do wisely ser. Dispensers should only be used when you trust the seller.
BTC-DEX should be the risk free alternative but even here you need to trust the wallet implementation. I don't think all bugs are ironed out yet.
Asset-asset swap on DEX is the safest option. I dont think if has ever caused loss of fund. -

Yes we only show open dispensers in freewallet now…. Except for your own dispensers… you can see your own closed dispensers, but there was way too much overhead to keep displaying closed dispensers (had to pull 50+ api requests for closed dispensers)

No, the person buying with btc has to leave their wallet open n auto-btcpay on…. So when an order match occurs, the wallet sends the BTC to pay for the order match before it expires in 20 blocks

You can even lock your wallet so no one can use it on your computer, but as long as the wallet is open and listening for order matches, it should auto-send the btc for the order match…. Making using btc on the dex a bit easier like using every other asset on the dex 👍🏻

lol... go use ETH... faster blocks does not necessarily translate to quicker confirmed transactions and lower tx fees.... can send something on BTC for like $0.25 on most days.... vs hundreds of dollars to send stuff on ETH at times... I remember ppl paying $600+ just to open up a emblem vault and pay the ETH tx fees

Counterwallet relies on counterblock which takes a lil while to catch-up after a new block….. freewallet desktop doesn’t have that issue

I'm calling for everyone to come together and support our awesome developers and @jdogresorg. We need your help on getting the funds needed to implement new tools that allows asset owners to re-issue token supply as divisible or non-divisible. All you need to do is purchase CIP03 tokens from the dispenser. Once dispenser is emptied, the Devs are fully funded to implement tools and improve Counterparty.

A new dispenser has been created to collect funds for development and implementation of Counterparty Improvement Proposal (CIP) #3. CIP03 will allow asset owners (who control 100% of the existing supply) to 'reset' their token supply which will destroy all existing supply and allow the asset owner to re-issue the token supply as divisible or non-divisible.
All donations are appreciated, however only donations of at least 0.0005 ($20) will receive the BLACKBOX subasset tokens to commemorate the donation.

all these changes will be wrapped up into a release soon.... working on CIP03 (ability to reset token supply) and CIP24 (oracled dispensers).... this update was basically an update to make it easier for me to pull data from the transactions table into counterparty2mysql 🙂

Nope… almost burned through dev funds for the year… market is horrible, but gotta live n survive, so it is what it is…. I’ll do fundraising for dev salary for 2023 starting in October…. By December I should have funds fully raised, or I’ll be forced to take a normie dev job n put CP on back burner again…… the VM is a huge undertaking, so prolly would begin work on it in early 2023 and have it ready for release by April/may.

First part of the year was spent fixing a bunch of bugs n making things way more stable/faster/cheaper…. Now focused on adding some new features (oracled dispensers, resetting token supply, and trusted dispensers)… once those are out the door would like to focus on xchain improvements, a better enhanced json spec/CIP, and possibly finish off the new block explorer I was working on.

Next year focus will be a VM and a new mobile/browser based wallet, and some other improvements👍🏻

I believe the VM will really pour some gas on CP, bring a ton more functionality, and attract a new round of developers and users.

Yes, that was before the market crashed and 3 years of funding became barely 1 year of funding…. It sucks, but as I said, I gotta survive, so was forced to cash out at $20k before price went any lower. Lesson learned and next year I’ll be converting funds from btc to fiat immediately instead of leaving it as btc

Help! I am in dire need of someone that can give me some FreeWallet advice.
I opened a new wallet, copied and pasted the pass phrase, the QR code, and the Private Key into a document so that it could be saved and then just copied and pasted when needed. This is to avoid errors. I then went to another wallet to move some coins to the new FW using the saved QR code. After entering the pass phrase I get an error message stating; “passphrase is invalid”. Oops, now you see that I have a major problem!
Per J-Dog, I went to a working wallet and “imported” the Private Key. Now I can see the coins, but they are still in another wallet that I cannot get into. Can someone help me with instructions on how to move these coins into another wallet that I can open? I really need help! 🙏🏻 -
