If you have a specific issue your referencing, then say that…. If you read the update you would see we are working on solving issues with addresses that start with a 3….. which is the update I believe your waiting on….. but as aryan j said, dev is a process and sometimes issues take a while to get fixed…. It’s all about priority and how many users a specific issue effects…. The issues that effect a larger group of people have higher priority than issues that only effect a small number of people

A tonne of scammers making tokens on Counterparty - @jdogresorg is it possible to put a green or red bar on their tokens to highlight this ?

Hi, just want to ask. Currently, I am having two problems.
First, I sent 0.035BTC from the exchange to Free Wallet and purchased 147xcp from Dispenser, but have not received it yet.
https://xchain.io/tx/0db26782003a8071e1e936f8bcb8f2788ed60e903ea8e026434384f4d530619a
Second, there was a purchase of 133xcp from my Dispenser, but I have not received the 0.035BTC for that purchase yet.
https://xchain.io/tx/ca0d664d242b14dfd0ef179a9001a66ad64d16a5c487d3a795aeb6075a89c46c
Do anyone have any solutions? -
I bet for the second one, you're looking at your main address and not the one you opened the dispenser on. Check the address you opened the dispenser on.
-
Dispenser was opened from this address:1AKwAbft2PTk695VDpuMTHg4XmZzaZpc9x
-
Right. I see BTC on there. What's the problem?
-
is cp down? https://xchain.io/block/721282 no rare pepe sends and the xcpI issue is back
-
-
Counterparty problems confirmed
-
Check which server you are using vs which ones are up
https://counterwallet.io -
check the blocks no pepe sends for over an hour
-
Ok, so not a server problem. Hope it gets worked out.
-
There was a purchase of 133xcp from my Dispenser, but I have not received the 0.035BTC for that purchase yet.
-
That is what the reputation system is for,.. rank the address or asset and leave feedback…
-
ONE server is down.. host1... host2, 3, 4 are up and working fine
-
restarting counterparty services on host1... should be back synced up in a bit
-
-
1.) Your first transaction link shows a dispenser, not a dispenser payment transaction hash... so doesn't show you sending funds to the dispenser
2.) Your second transaction link shows a dispenser payment, and the only way that dispenses happen from a dispenser is if an actual payment has been sent to the address... you can verify you DID in fact receive the funds by looking at the transaction hash on any bitcoin block explorer.
https://blockstream.info/tx/ca0d664d242b14dfd0ef179a9001a66ad64d16a5c487d3a795aeb6075a89c46c
Here is your transaction, it shows a payment of 0.035 BTC to 1AKwAbft2PTk695VDpuMTHg4XmZzaZpc9x ... so you DID in fact receive a payment to your dispenser and got the BTC... you can also see you then spent the funds in later transactions
https://blockstream.info/tx/670a63d5fb893da8e37666d34475bea04959cb054cfed44df75d3fc544b6baaf
Above is the transaction where you spent the 0.035 BTC right after you received it
Going forward, please check your address on a bitcoin block explorer to see what is happening with your BTC before claiming you did not receive BTC 🙂
https://blockstream.info/address/1AKwAbft2PTk695VDpuMTHg4XmZzaZpc9xBlockstream Block ExplorerBlockstream Explorer is an open source block explorer providing detailed blockchain data across Bitcoin, Testnet, and Liquid. Supports Tor and tracking-free.
-
pepes sends didn't stop sending... Counterparty just stopped parsing transactions on one of the 4 servers, and that server wasn't showing the latest transactions... however all the other servers were parsing transactions fine and showing them on xchain
-
Counterparty is just code that parses bitcoin transactions... no way a server going down would stop sends, it would just mean that the server that stopped parsing was not up to date, but as I have said, the other 3 servers were showing transactions fine.... in the future, if you see funky stuff, might want to try checking the other servers... host1.xchain.io, host2.xchain.io, host3.xchain.io, host4.xchain.io 🙂
-
-
Try clicking the "feedback" button and give some negative feedback to warn others... there is a system in place to help let people know if an address is reputable or not, but if no one stops to give feedback on addresses doing bad behavior, then the system fails to work...... this reputation/feedback system is far better than manually tagging scammers addresses individually with a red banner, etc.... the system shows current rating as well as previous rating data for the last 30 days, 6 months, and 1 year... should help people figure out if an address is reputable or not 🙂
-
Good Info bruz! Well done

currently unable to see the transaction.
So while I'm buying 147xcp with 0.035BTC sent from Exchange, 133xcp is being bought from my dispenser and I'm buying 147xcp with that 0.035BTC?BTC Transaction ca0d664d242b14dfd0ef179a9001a66ad64d16a5c487d3a795aeb6075a89c46c | BlockCypher0.27405794 BTC transacted in TX ca0d664d242b14dfd0ef179a9001a66ad64d16a5c487d3a795aeb6075a89c46c (fees were 0.00001008 BTC). -
not understanding the "sending from an exchange" part... you should be sending funds FROM freewallet to a dispenser, not from an exchange... funds sent to a dispenser result in the token being sent back to the address that sent the funds
-
perhaps you setup a dispenser on your main address (something freewallet explicitly tells you NOT to do and warns you against doing)
-
-
I would close any dispensers on your main address... only open dispensers on addresses you don't commonly use, and only withdraw funds from an exchange to your main wallet address to avoid accidentally triggering dispenses
-
Sounds like you setup a dispenser, then withdrew funds from an exchange to your main address, which in turn triggered a dispense sending the funds back to your exchange wallet address.... going forward, don't send funds from exchanges to addresses that have dispensers setup on them.
-
-
also.. again, as I said before, your link points to a dispenser... not a dispense... so it DOES NOT show you making a payment to a dispenser, it simply shows the dispenser itself
-
the above link shows a dispenser... that dispenser was closed 19 hours ago and any remaining XCP in the dispenser was credited back to the dispenser source address
-
-
interesting. Any other sites you can use besides imgur?
-
Thank you for everything.
It was very foolish and I regret it intensely.
From now on, I'll use it separately from my main address. -
-
-
-
no easy manual way to register... I wrote a bulk registration script back in the day to register assets 1000 at a time, but it was a major pain becuase you can only do like 10-15 transactions before you have to wait for the original transactions to settle (BTC network doesn't let you daisy chain pending transactions more than 10-15 or so)..... what I wound up having to do was send 0.001 BTC to my registration address like 100 times so the address had a ton of utxos to use..... at this point, I would ask yourself why you want to register 1000+ assets.... it is difficult and expensive for a reason... to make you ask if you REALLY need 2000 assets or if you can figure out a better way to do things... platform has been around for 8 years and only has 95,000 assets registered, which tells ya that no one really (except myself and maybe 1-2 other people) have done bulk asset registrations.... I would suggest continuing to register your assets manually as needed and re-evaluate if you really need 1000+ assets,.... 1000 assets x 0.5 XCP ea @ $9 per XCP each = $4500 worth of XCP plus the BTC fee for those transactions... 1000 transactions x 1000 sats per tx = 0.1 BTC = ~$4000.... total cost per 1000 assets is about $8500
-
This is my specific issue pending since last year, been discussed several times, there another same issue which I have discussed in DMs
https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-lib/issues/1122Not Being Able to Close A Dispenser · Issue #1122 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-libHi, Just got an issue with a dispenser today, already discussed on Telegram with CP channel admin, I had opened a dispenser for Pepecash with an exchange address, 34SV2dzCnVhTMJwfHnKcnMAo3DL9k4tpFo...
-
Yes... this is what I figured... and your issue is related to using an address that starts with a 3.... and yesterday I said that we were goign to be focusing on that issue in the coming week 🙂
-
ie... working on your issue finally 🙂
-
AFK for most of the rest of today as i'll be driving up to Seattle to visit with my sick grandfather.... ttys 🙂
-
-
We Pray for him, may God help you with that
-
-
Thanks a bunch for your input
Well yes i REALLY need about 2000.
project not "mintready" yet so i still try to figure out the best way to do this.
I'd mint em on another chain but that defies the purpose and meta of my idea.
They don't have to be minted all at once so i might go the pain-route an mint em manually in batches
if anyone has info/resources on how to batchadd enhanced asset descriptions, that would be sweet too -
Subassets cost half the amount of XCP than main assets. They also give more flexibility in naming.
-
Hey @jdogresorg. Check out this link. It's an ipfs link that loads up a .json file.
https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmNvptfNfJdjAVSeCacLFNJan7SD2kcF2XEabLmNXfD7TM
It doesn't have the .json on the url, though it could, never the less it loads the json data.
Unfortunelty, adding the domain and HTTPS alone is more than the 52 characters max limit of the asset description.
But this ipfs/QmNvptfNfJdjAVSeCacLFNJan7SD2kcF2XEabLmNXfD7TM alone fits.
Perhaps with some custom magic, xchain could be made to recognize ipfs assets, this way.
The .json in this link has the image asset that could be loaded by xchain. -
-
Is there actually a 52 char limit for description?
-
This description is pretty long
https://xchain.io/asset/PEPETHEFAKE -
-
-
that probably takes multiple transactions? the limit afaik is part of the op return space limit. but also probably done with a wallet that does not throw an error
-
-
-
-
Can you please point me to documentation regarding the 52 character limit? Here's another I just found
https://xchain.io/asset/WRCWAT -
Asset description can be longer than 52 characters
-
Believe u can do this in freewallet… if not, try counterwallet
-
AFK now spending time with my son

dumb question, but i've never done this before, but if i issue additional tokens. I assume that its in addition to, and not just replacing the total right? So i have 1 issued, then i issue 99 then i have 100 right?
-
or would the 99 replace the 1 and just have 99?
-
you’d have 100
-
thx
-
Well. I've gone ahead with the test.
I put a full ipfs link on a description to an asset using counter wallet. It ends with .json. and I believe has the right json data on it to be read by xchain,
If this works. Then I think it solves a major critique of NFTs.
Which is that most of the time there's no direct relation between the NFT and the asset files, the art.
IPFS uses hashes of the file to create it's links and it is a distributed network that's not nessesarily dependant on domain names.
ipfs.io/ipfs is currently what I'm using, but the hash that follows could be loaded into any ipfs client and it should find the file.
We'll see.
https://xchain.io/asset/juangalt -
Here's my two cents, as I've been thinking about this lately. A hash in a JSON is kind of pointless because the contents of the JSON can change without a new issuance hitting the chain. Ideally, if it actually matters to you to include a hash for validation in the future, then you want that hash in the description as an issuance prior to an update to a JSON. So a buyer could, theoretically, go back to the first issuance, observe the hash and then validate that whatever is referenced in the JSON matches the hash.
-
I am positive this works. If you search "ipfs" on xchain, there are a couple of results already. E.g. https://xchain.io/asset/CHARIOT seems to work fine using this link: https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmYrQLphmoWCCs4NwAa12mTkYvhHLLA4BkWcDgr77C87Dz?filename=CHARIOT.json
-
That's an asset associated with a project. Therefore there is a project JSON that defines the image and overides whatver is in the description
-
Mario if you're ever around and have a few minutes to chat I'd like to ask you about some of your code
-
you’re gonna need to run a node and pin it (surprisingly easy) or pay a service to do it for you
-
otherwise even tho the hash points to a distinct file it will be basically impossible to retrieve (unless it is popular)
-
Not with IPFS. If you change the JSON, you change the hash.
-
Oh I see... the json url itself has the hash encoded
-
Huh? A node of what, for what?
-
Yeah the name of the file to IPFS is the hash of the file. It then has the metadata of the name after it. Ending with the file type.
-
ipfs
-
Yeah I'm running one.
-
ok thats clever. Hadn't thought about it that way
-
-
-
-
Yeah it's fascinating. Ifps is legit
-
you run the node so you can “pin” the file, in case no other node has it cached
-
Oh interesting
-
-
-
Feel free to dm me, I’ll reply when I’m on
-
Yes IPFS json files work well, CHARIOT was a good example 👍. There are many others as well, it works even if not associated with a project.

why my gif is shown only like jpeg

Can someone share instructions for closing a dispenser on counterwallet?
-
Still getting used to this interface
-
I have just one question…
-
Where’d you get that scarf?
-
-
what about the name
-
I suggest you use Freewallet desktop app. Then you just close it by going to My dispensers and on the right you see Close (in red)

I was digging through all Dogeparty and Counterparty token issuances from 2014. I was compiling a Medium article with the main findings (mainly to shed some more light on Dogeparty). I think it may also be interesting for the XCP crowd: https://doggfather.medium.com/dogeparty-nft-meta-layer-on-top-of-dogecoin-part-1-3105d7b24abfDogeparty: NFT meta-layer on top of Dogecoin (Part 1)
Dogeparty is a meta-layer on top of the Dogecoin (DOGE) network for non-fungible token (NFT). It became operational in August 2014, went…

I see people using ipfs to host json/images more permanently.. one place I think is not going anywhere anytime soon that allows you to host json and images (and is free) is github, I personally have used it for an asset but do wonder if others agree it to be a good place to host or any reason it's not.

Would the community support the creation of an interchain bridge?
-
Explain more please
-
I am working on an OPCODE script that locks the asset in a p2sh address in bitcoin so it can be minted in Ethereum, polygon, bsc or solana. Something similar to atomic swaps or LN payment channels.
-
Interesting, could this work for assets already issued or would it be only for newly issued assets?
-
On any asset that is counterparty chain.
-
Wow this is definitely interesting and would hold value as a feature imo. Got my vote 👍
-
That's why I'm asking for some feedback here.
-
Would it be fully trustless?
-
It works in the same way as lightin network or taproot does. They are bitcoin scripts. Totally trustless

what a great idea - a reverse of emblem vaults, where a bitcoin asset is wrapped in a smart contract if I’m understanding it

Update. GitHub Gist: instantly share code, notes, and snippets.

-
but still good for other projects to give other options
-
Not sure how to feel about this now in light of the mega wormhole hack incident today with Solana Bridge
-
In HTLC contracts this does not happen, you would have to break the bitcoin cryptography for this to happen. Or find a zero-day flaw in the Opcodes scripting.
-
All addresses beginning with 3 would be insecure.
-
Most bridges implement substrates, or relays, of second chains. I think that's getting too complicated. Meanwhile HTLCs are more secure even though they require more steps to successfully complete an atomic swap.
-
-
-
h?

☺️
-
i've used native sewgit dispesers two times already. using freewallet. haven't had any problems. all things being equal why would you want to overpay on fees when you be moving funds out of your dispenser.
-
I agree, but an OG memer said my dispenser didn't work on Freewallet mobile and I wanted to ask around. Thanks, I'll stick to segwit.
-
-
depends - are you just using as an address, main seed key, but get the private key for the next addresses within it
-
or two sets of seed keys
-
plenty of options to get more addresses
-
Right, didn't realise I could use two sets of seed keys! That might work for handling two separate wallets, thanks.
-
just log out each time - or freewallet gets a bit overwhelmed
-
Yeah I know, I restart it all the time :)
-
So these Rare Pepe cards... can we trace some of the value to the community and technology of said community being one of the first "imageboards" in web 1-2 era?
-
That + Bitcoin = Internet Art and Internet Coded/Architectural art over Bitcoin ::)
-
I feel like Monacoin and Rare Pepe cards are both on counterparty bc they were from different art forms first that amazed communities and engaged them in te dawn of imageboards and what the JP call textboards but the value is long standing bc just think how old the roots go... It's like Rare Pepe's are partially $$$$$ bc of Bitcoin being its chain but also historically paying homage to a community imageboard like 4chan and how significant those were after web 1 which was static and not very social
-
eitrher way, if there's one cheap enough I have a treasure trove of Rare Doge and Monacards
-
but I need some Pepe
-
I love all counterparty implmentations so far of the 3
-
always preferred extending Bitcoin infinitely over Ethereum
-
Freewallet mobile just can't be used to send funds to a segwit addy so you would make it more convenient for potential buyers that use mobile wallet if you use a regular addy and not segwit. I personally have made plenty of dispensers with segwit addys that got filled eventually
-
I was using IPFS for my first Fake Rare submissions in the beginning of the project. By the time they came around to review they couldn't resolve the link (my ipfs node wasn't running).
I switched to AR Drive. It seems to be less maintainence keeping node up time check. -
-
-
Thank you, I think I'll use segwit.
-
i made a github - but the directory lines where too long - can be a pain
-
for the JSON file
-
How to import private key on free wallet ?
-
Is it possible ? If so how the command called ?
-
Or I need to reinstall it to do it ?
-
Yes. You need to go to change address dialog box. Then hit gear and option to import private keys is listed
-
-
Ok ,tnx

Hey, can someone tell me what I messed up with my gif video ? I uploaded a GIF to imgur, then the link opened my video as .mp4, then I copied the address into the description, and replace .mp4 with .gif. Then broadcast.
Now it says .gif but in the information nothing moves. Just still image like a jpeg. What I messed up ? Is there any maximum size of the file that I link into the description ? -
Do you have an example that isn't associated with a project? So far my test hast not worked. Might need another day.
-
It's an idea. GitHub is owned by Microsoft now. But probably gonna be there for a good while. At the end of the day, it's a matter of redundancy and imagine authentication. Maybe a IPFS.json with multiple links? Idk. Depends what xchain accepts for now. Since it's the main explorer.
-
Interesting
-
Holy smokes.
-
-
if you pin them they will work, but if not accessed often they might still be pretty slow (not cached on many nodes)
did you look at arweave? -
Sure take a look at umbrella, uses an ipfs json and not associated with a project collection list. https://xchain.io/asset/UMBRELLA
-
I haven't had any issues, but made sure to pin it, run node 100% and shared CID around to a couple other node operators.
-
-
Same process here, I’ve had no problems as of yet. 💯
-
-
Yeah im pinning them with pinata now
-
never heard of arweave
-
-
-
Cool, I'm gonna use that same json template
-
I'll check it out, thanks.

but it still shows as open in Freewallet and can't be closed with a transaction again. -
Yes, seems Xchain is out of sync... Anything past block 721740 appears to be missing
-
Thanks, I will wait for resync
-
Blocks
https://xchain.io/blocks -
Hopefully @jdogresorg got an alert from monitoring
-
umm sync issue stil lexists?
-
im using host1.xchain and this works fortunately
-
We no logner have full access to Freewallet when holding Xchainpepe card bought for $100 wtf
-
now wallet is asking us to buy another token for around $80.
-
What kind of crap is this.
-
"XCHAINPEPE is a rare PEPE card which has been certified as rare and dank by the Rare PEPE Foundation. All purchases of XCHAINPEPE go directly to help support the continued development and hosting of the XChain.io website and APIs.
This card also grants its holders full access to all features of the FreeWallet.io desktop and mobile wallets including the Decentralized Exchange (DEX) and betting interfaces" -
or is the exchange function not working in the freewallet?
-
and then when i try to buy this new token, im asked to spend XCP that i dont have and cant buy.... i mean wtf
-
all this because i want to sweep balances to one addreess, so i have to ask, does that even work?
-
Afaik all features of freewallet are available irregardless whether one owns an access NFT at the moment
-
-
Think your mixed up somehow. You do need a little XCP for a sweep, but freewallet has all features opened up for free.
-
thanks xcer, the exchange for some reason was not showing up in freewallet
-
but I restarted computer and it's there just now.
-
there is a pop up when opening wallet that says to buy full access some new token
-
this is what caused confusion also
-
I have a ton of addresses, what is the best way to get all funds on one address please
-
(at the moment I'm having to log into wallet, send manually, over and over) which I know will screw up my freewallet at some point
-
looks like host2, 3, and 4 stopped parsing blocks because someone registered an asset with unicode character in the description which makes counterparty2mysql choke..... someone did this on dogeparty a few weeks ago and had similar issues.... applying the fix to host2,3,4 now and re-syncing... should be back caught up in an hour or less
-
@jdogresorg is it now safe to create a Dispenser on the same address? Or do we still have to send token to new "empty" address and create dispenser?
-
you dont have to create dispensers on new addresses always.... but you still dont want to create dispensers on addresses you commonly use as you may send BTC to it and trigger an unexpected dispense
-
I would dedicate some addresses as dispenser addresses and only use those to setup dispensers and then collect the funds from those addresses into your main wallet.... dont setup dispensers on an address you commonly use
-
all XChain servers should now be caught up and serving out current info
-
Ok great, thank you. I will do that, same as i did the time before and seemed to work well.
-
have a great weekend. 🍻
-
Thanks mate. You as well
-
Trying to send some btc to another wallet, but getting this message.
-
-
is there some way to fix this?
-
im using free wallet
-
what does it mean "unconfirmed"? and there is no where to enter the text it seems?
-
you will generally get this message when you try to send MAX amount. You will have to set the amount to max minus fees.
-
yeah i was only trying to send half of it
-
its frustrating. i have 60 + wallets, trying to send all the funds in each wallet to one wallet
-
i dont have much btc, so cant have $200+ in each wallet so i can send.
-
whats the best way to do this please?
-
I cant sweep wallet address as it does not seem possible to buy xcp as i need 0.5 xcp to use sweep function.
-
You can put the private key in electrum and send the btc that way…. When ur low on btc you can get this error, but u can use electrum wallet to gather dust and utxos or send btc when you only have a little bit
-
Sweep only moves assets/tokens and not btc, so prolly not what ur looking for
-
That is just a message from the CP api, and the freewallet api calls already pass the unconfirmed flag
-
Hi JDog can I DM you a nice new feed address for fake rares pls?

I created a GitHub issue to make the error message a bit more clear https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-lib/issues/1151Remove unconfirmed message from btc balance error message · Issue #1151 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-lib
remove the unconfirmed transaction portion of the error message when user has btc balance issue and unconfirmed flag has already been passed (freewallet always passed unconfirmed flag but cp api st...

The fake rares project is run by skrilla…. And already has a json file setup to parse in new cards…. If you are setting up another fake rares project, name it something else to avoid confusion…. And yes, can DM me

yeah I have little dust in each wallet, so if I can sweep tokens that will be ideal.
-
but I then need xcp. I put but order in exchange above sell price and nothing happens . (6hrs later) so can't use sweep
-
I can puts lots of private keys into electrum wallet? and "sweep" all the dust so it's whole number?
-
right now I need 0.005 BTC to make transaction in wallet 😑
-
yeah, might want to wait until the BTC network is a bit less busy so your tx fees are lower
-
yeah I send some BTC to kraken took near 3rhs to confirm. insane.
-
Did you have to enable the enhanced asset service for this, or should it work without it too?
-
for sure.
-
It will work without the enhanced asset service
-
hmmm wondering what's up with this one then. maybe needs a bit more time still.

Need some help.. I've claimed a emblemvault and got the privatekeys... I've inserted it in freewallet and now I can see the nft. I've send some btc to the adress but now when I want to send the nft it seems to not be able to sign a counterparty transaction. What am I doing wrong?
-
-
-
Is your NFT on a segwit address? If so, you’ll have to wait for the next free wallet update that will fix this issue.
-
-
-
-
-
Try removing the address from your wallet and re-Import

Hello trying to use the multisend(freewallet desktop) to send btc. does this seem right?
1xxxxxNV2ULcX2ZU6v3NEftxxxxxytaUc1, BTC, 0.00001325
1xxxxxNGaWpXsaMRqAHbgaCxxxxx7Pzya, BTC, 0.00001325
1xxxxxoEkKiDPUhbw1WTctMxxxxxpz5z1t, BTC, 0.00001325
i get a mistake saying "Error composing send transaction via API: insufficient funds for BTC" (I xxxx´ed part of the addy)
im sure i have enough funds for the txn. Im trying to consolidate embelm vaults to my main xcp address. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Cheers. -
all I can add when I try to send anything from free wallet I need $4+ dollars of BTC in wallet, even if I'm only paying 60cents in transaction fee.
-
and same if I want to withdraw, oddly I have to leave 3 or 4 dollars of BTC there of it won't send. 😃😑

multisend is currently behaving differently than expected. What you see as a fee is a fee per each individual "transaction", not the total fee.

is counterparty down? I'm trying to create a sub asset in freewallet and it says "Error while trying to broadcast issuance transaction. Please try again."

previous sub assets were created with no problems

anybody getting server error when trying multi-send
-
nah, just fucked on fees

What ya mean ?
-
All’s I’m getting is server error

Nothing else

-
Ok I will try this , thanks

Hello guys
-
👌🏾
-
Is there a list of all counterparty projects with a green banner?
-
basic question: all the addresses generated in freewallet use same seed phrase as main addy right? And I can use them just like my main addy to buy/sell/trade/create dispensers etc w/o any issues? Better to do that than create a new account with new wallet and seed right?

Look at this tragedy, address 1EUvKmU1S7KohHHC12G5ksAorrJf6GnXDZ paid 0.14457 BTC and got nothing in return from a XCP dispenser since another bought at approximately the same time.

-
-
can u send one of those to the 1eu addy fren?
-
-
-
-
yep
-
-
-
It's absolutely a bot, they timestamped within a second of the 1EU send going live
-
-
-
It is being calculated by the scammer
-
so same address sending and receiving exact same xcp amounts right? https://host1.xchain.io/address/1BvzjeCQTd9Kk4DsaBKiSs7GwQKZDmviH5
-
not really, if one can code a bot for this, he will be smart enough to hide trails
-
That's not even close a tenable solution
-
-
-
The ecosystem can't grow with things like this happening
-
TX: 6d816aced61748d549c8ff847b66e5269a73c20bbb989a75cb1be3a7a39e64d5 - perfect example of user facechecking with 1xcp and the bot winning anyway
-
-
Regular user checked the dispenser twice with 1 XCP, then the bot cleared it when they hit it
-
-
Dispenser open. It’s cheap, but near my wallet.
-
its a scammer anyways so theyre not gonna return funds
-
-
-
-
-
same account different scam
-
-
Yeah for 1 XCP... and then his bigger attempt got frontrun
-
-
I've dropped multiple bitcoin into XCP dispensers in the last month. Not touching another one until a real solution for this is brought forth
-
This cannot be a base rate experience for anyone if we want counterparty to grow

Hey everyone, if I create an asset, sell let's say 20/100, distribute dividends, and then send the remaning 80 and distribute dividends again, will the first batch of buyers get dividends twice?

Yes

Ok thx

New Counterparty Punycode series if anyone is interested. https://xchain.io/asset/PUNYCODES

i think so. Just set up 4 dispensers on 1 address all at the same price but with different gives.
-
In my head that was the logic I was thinking too. 👍
-
Pls keep us posted! I’d like to know too
-
Hey CP people. Maybe someone can help. I have a very big problem with lost addys that I have open dispensers on. With a very big sum for me tbh, around 2k usd.
-
I opened dispensers choosing a segwit addy from existing ones in Freewallet. Opened dispensers from my primary wallet to that addy. Dispenser opened, people started buying cards. But when I wanted to close the dispenser or withdraw funds, it was stuck on signing transaction. When I tried to look up the private keys in showed “false”
-
I was advised to log out of freewallet entirely and log in using passphrase. I did, addys disappeared. I started adding new ones. And these addys don’t show up.
-
I use only one passphrase. I have only one seed. I know that people who have different seeds found their list addys under their different seeds. But it’s not my case.
-
I tried ti add addys through counterwallet , those addys didn’t show ip there
-
I tried importing segwits to electrum wallet using normal addy private key with segwit prefix “p2wpkh:”
-
I added 20 addys like this
-
And those addys didn’t show up
-
Maybe I get some help from u
-
I wish I could be more of help Tasha I’ve never used segwit adress’s at all
-
Ye, i never will anymore. I somehow thought they are ok. And will write down all passphrases.
-
Just to clarify, did you set up freewallet initially and not save that seed, then logged out and back in with a new seed?
-
then used some of the first 10 addys to make dispensers?
-
I have never used any other passphrase that the only one i have.
-
hmmmm. Was your main addy the first address in the list?
-
I've had free wallet addresses disappear on me when I was signing in and out many times with many passphrases. the wallet gets confused. not sure if they is what has happened here.
-
It’s always first.
-
I have actually never ever logged out entirely since i set up freewallet with my passphrase in October 2021
-
Only this time after lag with signing transactions and false private key.
-
if so, I completely uninstalled free wallet. ran CCleaner to clear up any files left behind. then restarted computer. ran another CCleaner to make sure no traces of free wallet was still there (searched for it in program files also) then I installed new wallet, entered passphrase and it was back to normal (very stressful experience
-
I have the one and only passphrase i use.
-
Will try to do it too. Haven’t done it. Thank you. Maybe it will help.
-
Don't wipe your free wallet data file just yet
-
make sure you make a copy of it
-
Do you know how to get to your appdata folder?
-
back it up before you do anything else
-
AppData/local/freewallet ?
-
I am on Windows
-
Done. However, i just remembered, I did log out and re-entered my passphrase
-
Yes
-
000005.ldb, 002140,002142, some more
-
I have sublime, but i will get notepad in a minute
-
Yep, opened
-
Yes
-
Yeah, in there. Just one key under walletKeys section
-
That 000005.ldb is hard to read
-
But i have searched for that key from free wallet and couldn’t find it in the 000005.ldb
-
I will try to extract a key from 000005.ldb
-
6 chars matched indeed
-
I actually found that address to be present in 00005.ldb, so perhaps i just need to extract the key
-
Yes
-
000004.log
-
Those are waaay different
-
walletPassword is lik 10 chars long
-
wallet is 3 times longer
-
Or even more
-
Is the password is the derivative?
-
But what is the goal? Should i crawl the 00005.ldb for the matching key? Or
-
Yep, found that
-
Written down :)
-
Ok, i have written down all important parts from the 00005.ldb
-
For some reason in 000005.ldb there multiple values for each key. Wallet - 2 entries, and last one is shorter
-
Maybe i can do this on another computer?
-
so i'd try that out.
It's up to you if you feel safer etc -
Yeah it is backed up, but still ;) and once I open free wallet, should I use that debug window to modify my keys?
-
Yea, done
-
So how can i add that segwit address now?
-
ok I'm just trying to remember
-
Yes
-
All right
-
Thank you so much!!!! I really appreciate it! My hero! We got the idea i will proceed ..
-
Yes, sorry everyone.
-
Are you kidding this was awesome. Gonna be waiting to hear if it works!
-
Hello, maybe you can help me? I opened a cracked emblem vault on freewallet but I have this message when trying to export the NFT that was in the vault (that is now a wallet address):
Error composing send transaction via API: Insufficient BTC at address 15XQguXXwgzV6cTbJWEMgaKTBEEa73JNr4. (Need approximately 0.00025 BTC.) To spend unconfirmed coins, use the flag --unconfirmed. (Unconfirmed coins cannot be spent from multi‐sig addresses.)
I usually use a fee of 0.00001 for transactions so not sure why he is asking me to pay 0.00025 BTC? Thanks! -
BTC in your legacy wallet is probably dust. Need to top up a bit more. It is not a segwit wallet
-
-
Oh I see thanks
-
Hello guys
-
Hi, thanks to your guidelines we were able to dump the data from the leveldb in a readable way and found matching keys. Luckily leveldb stores historical data and data slice was rather sneaky. But in any case, it worked and we were able to sign transactions. I wish FreeWallet had a on-boot verification mechanism, because address list got out of sync from wallet/walletKeys pair.
-
@TaposThakur I have that problem also. so what you are saying is this. if my balance shows $4 BTC and I want to send a token with a $1 fee, it won't let me because the balance is dust? makes no sense.
-
also same for when I want to withdraw btc, let's say I have $15 there, I can not withdraw $15 minus $1 fee.
-
I have to leave anywhere from $4 to $6 in wallet.
-
so the $4 is dust and not really there or what?
-
counterparty is the only wallet I have with this issue also and I've used a lot in ten years in this space
-
-
If I remember correctly you need some more $ even tho its not needed to pay the fee. But no , its not dust :)
-
It worked it worked, tysm John McPepe !!
-
Damn dude, nice work. 👊
-
-
why does it talk about unconfirmed coins and using flag?
-
-
or do you mean usd/xcp ?
-
cus if that is the case it would be https://host1.xchain.io/api#network
-
This works.
-
-
No probs
-
AMAZING! Nice job Mr McPepe!!!!!

I’m late to the counterparty, but I’m loving it. I already made up my mind to bite the bullet and start an NFT project on an ‘alt’ chain… and right when I was about to finalize things, Someone hit me up and said “wait, lemme show you something”
-
And I’m in awe
-
Shout out to Josh
-
Yo this is epic
-
Yo what up Corey, welcome.
-
-
thank you fren
-
For now I will mostly use the DEX for larger purchases, unless I know and trust the dispenser operator. DEX is less convenient but there’s no scam risk there.
-
-
-
Yee, he’s my hero
-
Really went above and beyond to help you, awesome to see
-
-
I had a dev beside me, i handed him everything. I couldn’t have done it myself.
-
This dev :) devs can do stuff , I can only paint and set up dispensers on strange segwits not checking the private key. Lol 🤦🏻♀️
-
-
-
Or you can destroy it
-
You can destroy it if you like
-
-
Send it to 1Kuyc129DScdsMV557wMLov6QWLfseUkTV. Use a low tx fee. 🙂
-
-
-
This is related to an encoding h issue we have fixed and are testing the fix…. We were not using the dust amount for encoded outputs so the amount of btc taken out was more than it needed to be... after this next release (a day or two away) MPMAs should work way more reliably up to 1000 sends, should work from segwit addresses, and should be considerably cheaper than they are now since the encoding amount will only be using DUST for the outputs now 🙂
-
you can use the "destroy" option to actually destroy the token and reduce the asset supply
-
thanks for the answer, J-Dog! does it currently affect sweeps as well? also, is this a protocol level bug, or just a wallet-related one?
-
Super excited about this! Woo goo! Thanks!
-
outstanding stuff!
-
yes, had a few trades lately where price per had been knocked down by one (of the listed order) so order wouldnt fulfill even though I had set price at the listed amount i.e. Wanted to buy at 30000 and buy order ended up as 29999
-
- 08 February 2022 (53 messages)
-
-
No it doesn’t effect dispensers, it is a protocol issue with p2sh data encoding
-
Yes, you can switch between wallets
-
not dispensers, whole “wallet” sweeps
-
No
-
Just p2sh data encoding
-
-
No
-
A sweep moves all assets but it is a message that says to move all or not..vs a mpma send which needs to encode actual destination, asset, and quantity amounts
-
appreciate it!
-
