Fyi… p2pb2b.io is threatening to delist xcp due to having less than $10k trading each day……. They want us to pay $550/mo for bot volume generation to keep the listing…. Thoughts? (We paid almost $20k for the listing and have never had much volume go through the market pair) -

XCP is very easy to get from a dispenser AFTER you've learned how they work. It's a bit of a hurdle for new users. When I was new to it I didn't know how or where to get XCP since the exchanges on the Counterparty website no longer listed XCP. I think having up to date info and good explanations of how to use dispensers is key either way. -
Is there a way to have the listing go dormant so we dont have to pay the fee now, but could get it relisted without having to pay a relisting fee? -

Disagree…. Dispensers work fine, yes there are a few scammers and you need to be careful when buying xcp in larger amounts…. But dispensers work fine and do not rely on ‘some guy’ to work…. And trusted dispensers is on the way to solve this trust problem….. imo we only need one exchange listing to stay on the coin tracking sites….. we have vindax and dex-trade and that’s enough for now until there is more demand for xcp

This is an issue which pops up periodically.... the solution is to retry your tx again and it will usually solve the issue.... I don't think that "exchange" adds any value. As far as I read it, not in the past and certainly not now. It's a useless liability.
We have amazing platforms that are either working already or being deployed soon to distribute cards. The main protocol tool for this is BTC. This is what most users have and what they will spend. They don't care if there's a route from BTC=>XCP=>Card or not.
XCP is a utility token for the artists & devs and I think they're perfectly fine to get it from dispensers or by other means. Additionally, platforms like pepe.wtf and scarce.city will be able to fill the niche for those that also need XCP by abstracting the complexity. -

tend to agree with you... we have never really got much use out of p2pb2b.io.... tho partially the communities fault for not placing buy/sell orders on the exchange... but, we still have the dex-trade.com listing which is where 99% of the volume is anyway... so, as long as we keep that listing, we should be in good shape.

Wouldn’t say useless.
A higher XCP price makes the community wealthier making the community healthier as a whole.
You can clearly see how the downturn in ETH price has directly affected the NFT market.
But if the exchange has no volume, it’s useless. -
What would really get a lot of attention for xcp is a USD stablecoin on CP.

1) XCP isn't ETH
2) Further decentralized options would make this market much more resilient long term -
And tbh I don't see THAT much of a decline in the main ethereum NFTs. Quite the contrary, floors are rising slowly again. We'll see how stubborn xcp 2021/22 hodlers really are 😉

Those who bought a satoshi from the dispenser, were issued another Satoshi also a Meltem, PeterSchiff & BackOfCard for free, thanks for supporting this project.

Subasset names must meet following requirements :
Begin with the parent asset name followed by a period (.) -
I guess a numerical asset name is a valid asset name so perhaps you can make numerical asset subassets but i expect it will require XCP

Yes me too! And to start, I want to thank the work done with this. It really simplifies the setup.
So, I did the ‘full’ configuration. And the testnet services seemed to complete quickly. So, I disabled those services since.
But it has been over 10 days of a t2.large instance (2TB disk) only running bitcoin, addrindexrs and counterparty. And it is still over 1000 blocks behind with many of these taking 500+ seconds.
So my question is if this is normal and if there is any configuration that can help this sync speed up, like the dbcache one for bitcoin core. -

more ram helps .. my sync is still 5000 blocks behind after 2 days .. my btc block sync is complete but counterparty sync still processing

I have 8GB of ram. bitcoin, addrindexrs and counterparty are only using ~20% of ram. But counterparty is using 100%+ of cpu the whole time, so it seems the bottleneck is the cpu

I have 16gb ram and use a 2tb hdd .. I suspect hdd slows things down .. 7gb ram in use and none of the 4 cpus are maxing out
