So if I’m understanding this correctly, for provenance, one would have to trace a piece back to the original send transaction. This would require the token to be sent before the piece can be numbered then.

if you can see the pending transaction on any block explorer, then the transaction has been generated/signed/broadcast from the wallet fine..... as far as "CP Nodes may be out of sync".... not seeing anything like that here across the servers -

All servers are caught up and parsing blocks fine... watched a block parse less than a minute ago across all the servers.

Blocks is cool. Nice. I did have a couple sends I did that never appeared on unconfirmed and went straight to sends. I just assumed the block explorer Xchain was watching didn’t pick up these sends to appear on unconfirmed. Once they confirmed, they did pop right up under sends on xchain.

Under heavy mempool load, CP mempool does not update as fast as it should.... it USED to delete and rebuild everything from the CP mempool every second... John added some code a while back to adjust the behavior under heavy loads so that CP could get back up and sync quicker (very intensive creating/deleting entire mempool from database every few seconds)...... I too have had some funky behavior where I will see that a tx has been mined, and shows as confirmed on xchain, but will also show up as "unconfirmed" on xchain for a while until the mempool gets updated..... shouldn't stay in there too long, but yep, can confirm.... sometimes txs will go straight to confirmed and skip mempool, or stay in mempool even after confirmed.... its just a display issue which fixes itself after a couple minutes 🙂

numbering a "blank out of run total" is for the printmaking industry. With historical art perspective, then the original wood cut/plate is the master copy and all others are impressions. Modern technology affords a smaller number string than a whole wallet to utilize for making distinctions. With the field of crytoart basic qualifier is tokenization of content in conjunction with the use of a blockchain. Selling a gif for paypal usd is not cyptoart, just because it comes with permission to. following the logic that the art represents the token, then to use numbering of some idiosyncratic counting system within the narrative of the copies on paper distracts from the fact that the token is the sole of ownership. If an artist were to create any number of tokens and separate each into their own wallet for fabrication and delivery then the individual luster of the chain of custody only washes if more than one token is sent to the same wallet. Crossing the streams makes so that the individual is not longer isolatable. this has been my ted talk for today

Still need to extract the soundcloud audio code from the embed code manually at this point... so a bit more manual than it should be.... I will write a "Create NFT" interface into freewallet.io in an upcoming version which will make creating NFTs simpler and make it much more streamlined... for now, just getting the frontend working 🙂

Zoom video software. Couple weeks ago, after I used zoom, I was getting the same error from freewallet, first on my phone, and then on my MacBook. I pulled up freewallet on a different computer and it worked fine.

If you beat the crap out of xchain.io or the APIs, then yeah, your IP can get blacklisted from xchain.io for about 10-15 minutes..... the exact number of requests and of what type is constantly changing (ignore image request, etc)

yup, that would definitely trigger a block..... the xchain API service is meant for the masses to use, not for one individual to abuse.... so yep, if your making 5500 requests at once, your gonna get blocked.... slow your reqeusts down to something more reasonable... sleep for 1 second in between requests (overkill, but example of how simple tweak can solve the issue)

Over the last few months a number of exchanges have reached out with offers to list Counterparty (XCP) on their exchanges. I have compiled a list of the exchanges who have reached and out with prices in a range which I feel the Counterparty community could reasonably fund ($2-20K). Here is a list of the exchanges and some basic information on each.
When it comes to whether or not these exchanges support US-Based customers with KYC, that is a touchy subject, as each exchange is different and most do not want to discuss in detail. All of the exchanges listed here have indicated to me that they have options to deposit/trade/withdraw either with support for US-based customers, or for unverified customers who have NOT done KYC.
I can not disclose the actual listing fees, but have indicated the relative fee with a 1-4 $ rating system.

All of these exchanges have options to withdraw some amount of BTC each day without KYC... the amount varies between exchanges... who pays the fees? the listing fee is paid by the community after they pick the exchange they want to list with... if your talking about the withdraw fees, that is up to the exchange, but all have been rated to be using withdraw amounts in standard ranges (this is where the reputation portion comes in)

My personal preference is that we go with probit or xt.com... we already have tier-3 exchange listings... and these are tier-2 listings which get us closer to a tier-1 listing like coinbase, binance, etc.... But, need tier-3 and tier-2 exchange listings, and more daily volume before tier-1 exchanges will consider listing

You can navigate to any market pair by just clicking the exchange button in Freewallet.io desktop wallet, then navigating manually to that market in the search box... for instance ASSET1/ASSET2... enter that, it will take you to ASSET1/ASSET2 market pair, and from there you can enter buy/sell orders on those pairs... once an order is placed on a market pair, then it will show up in the exchange list

Hi all! What is the best way to participate in the counterparty NFT market. I have some rare trading cards I might want to part with... I am also not sure that if I use counterparty wallet to create a sale, is this a sale that can only be taken in full? I don't want my rare but divisible cards in quantities smaller than 1. -

They are building the tools they need for Bitcoin. You can see them on fed opps.
I think there is a high chance the 🇺🇸 turns to CP in the future since we’re on Bitcoin.
These other chains are a huge headache for them IMO.

Note that multi-sends currently do not work with segwit addresses. I think the most up to date version of freewallet has disabled or at least warns against using multi-send to segwit addresses. Just be mindful that you are not including addresses that start with bc when compiling your list.

Sending to segwit (bech32) addresses in MPMA sends is fine... just doing mpma sends FROM a bech32 address (starts with bc1) that currently has issues....also can sweep bech32 addresses fine (move everything in one tx)

there is no issue... just lack of communication, different timezones, etc..... They are using api.counterparty.io to generate transactions instead of their own node... which is fine, but not what we advise.... they have said a few timse that they API is down, but it has been up for many weeks without any downtime, so there is no real issue.... trying to work with them and communicate through backchannels is getting more and more difficult.... waiting many days now between replies

IMO... best next option is something like probit... larger tier, more professional engineers/support staff... $10k/day withdraws no forced KYC or super low 0.02 BTC/day withdraw limits

That is not something I would advise.... the relationship is already pretty tense, annoying them with spamming support requests and angry messages will not serve much purpose right now.... doing my best to continue working with them until we have better exchange listing options (soon).... Just had a chat with them a few minutes ago... the liines of communication are open, just a slow exchange to get answers and do stuff

At least if 100 ppl just ping the help desk and ask "wen xcp withdraw" they'd realize this is something an intern could do in-between sprints -

Just got some communication from them... XCP withdraws are down because they are having issues using the public node (dunno why, no issues, but its beside the point).... They are in the process of setting up their own Counterparty fednode and letting it sync now... Once their fednode install is synced and up, withdraws will resume

Also got them to agree to broadcast OPTIONS 1 from their address so that customers are prevented from sending funds to their hotwallet without a memo (will help prevent sends without memos, and lighten support load on exchange)

So... yes, frustrating to not be able to withdraw XCP right now... but, they are working on the issue, are working on solving it correctly (setting up own fednode), and will be getting withdraws working again soon.

Freewallet.io is meant to use ONE 12-word passphrase seed... it is not meant to be switching back and forth between multiple 12-word passphrases... as initializing the wallet is an intensive process and doing it multiple times can result in some corrupted keyindexes (not able to sign transactions cuz cant find private key based off index)..... if you want to use multiple wallets with multiple 12-word passphrases... you can do so in freewallet, but do not do so by switching passphrases again and again..... simply login to wallet #1 and use it normally.... for your second 12-word passphrase, login to counterwallet or freewallet.io and dump all of the private keys from addresses you want to use in your second wallet..... then import them into freewallet... PRESTO.. able to use all your addresses in a single freewallet.io instance without having to keep logging in/out and switching 12-word passphrases seeds

If you want to sweep an address, simply switch to that address in freewallet, then just got Address Menu->Sweep Address

You then should see a form with options with what you want to sweep

You just plug in the destination address, select your sweep options, and click "Sweep"... everything will be moved to the new address
