So you’re trying to send all your btc from that address, not send assets.
Your btc might be composed in bunch of smaller txs so you need to transfer to Trezor and transfer back in the address.

Use your private key and try a non cp wallet if you think CP wallet is the problem. -

Thank you for explaining this.... sending all BTC out of counterparty wallet is problematic.... using it for all CP transactions is no problem... but sending ALL btc out of the address sometimes counterparty API says you require more balance than you do...... Best method to move "ALL" btc out of wallet is to use electrum. -
Freewallet was saying you need 0.00827 and he had only 0.008 so if you take the 0.00027 difference and subtract from total, that probably is maximum amount he can send.

Could be you have too many transactions chained... or could be one of your transactions is too low fee to be relayed to other nodes... can't say for sure... working on gettingn better error messaging to bubble up in freewallet so you get something more helpful than "Broadcast Error".

Just make sure you LOCK the child asset before you transfer to someone else.... as they could have issues LOCKING it after until the above referenced issue is fixed.... should have no problems with updating asset description or transferring child subasset... just locking

I believe this is because the BTC needs a signature. Can’t escrow BTC the way the protocol can escrow cp assets for order matches.
XCP is the reserve currency of Counterparty, and it’s especially useful for the DEX.
If you used XCP or another CP asset like PepeCash, it would work the way you’re suggesting above.
If I’m wrong; anyone please feel free to correct me. -

I agree with this, because people are quick to jump to wild conclusions. Spelling out Counterparty or using the ticker XCP on public platforms like twitter can only help raise awareness. Crypto has enough bad associations with too many people, that they'll be quick to believe CP might be code for something sick.

Agree... the current imgur/youtube/soundcloud stuff is just hacked together by Joe and myself... it is nothing official.... IMO, we need a CIP put forth to define these custom formats and how to use them.... after I add a few more (soundcloud, ipfs, etc), I might put some time into writing up the CIP so it can become "official" if the community agrees with the improvement/standarization 🙂

My approach is for those users who want to define more than one parameter and self-host the data for publication via p2p or standard webserver. The down side being the need for payment and or web design skills.
The method you are utilizing has a benefit of third party curation and free web hosting, the down side being censorship. -
You can navigate to any market pair by just clicking the exchange button in Freewallet.io desktop wallet, then navigating manually to that market in the search box... for instance ASSET1/ASSET2... enter that, it will take you to ASSET1/ASSET2 market pair, and from there you can enter buy/sell orders on those pairs... once an order is placed on a market pair, then it will show up in the exchange list

If you can change the image and description of an asset, That means that the most important part will be the name and time of creation. Meaning you can transfer your token to someone else and they can write details of their NFT which will record the issue date, They could have made the image today. You cant change the name. Question about the DEX, in freewallet, the maximum block time allowed is 8064 for an order/sell. Is this hardcoded into CP or is that just on freewallets end?

8064 blocks I believe is about 56 days an order will stay active.

8064 blocks is max allowed by Counterparty on a protocol level. John and I discussed raising/removing the block expiration, but need to do more research on how it will effect counterparty's performance longer-term

Cool. I think if the DEX is more active, it’s a non issue. The DEX being slightly dead, no block expiration date would be nice for liquidity to stay present.
Hopefully the DEX picks up over the next few months. It’s an amazing tool. -

But also, with no expiring of orders, the DEX almost acts as a staking tool since the XCP is escrowed. Definitely creates less floating supply.

UOCP will go in depth with using the DEX. I think the best thing we can do as a community is put bids and provide liquidity on the DEX.
Plus, you can get some really good smoking deals where you can make some $ potentially.

I’m however not sure how ownership of asset issuance works with sweep. I think if you issued an asset, the ownership transfers. -

Question, are we currently on any swaps or is there a technical barrier to that implementation?

Counterparty has dispensers which can be used to swap BTC directly for any other token..... if your asking if there is a simple uniswap-style one-page swap tool for Counterparty, the answer is no..... That too is on my todo list, but before a simple uniswap-style tool can be written, a simple chrome extension wallet needs to be written.... all the uniswap style page does is display possible swaps, generate the transaction, then sign it... so, I can write a uniswap style swap tool, but before I can do that I will need a wallet to throw unsigned transactions to and get them signed (like metamask)..... so YES, uniswap style tool is on the todo list... but, got some other things in front of it... explorer, etc.

100% supportive of anyone who wants to try to tackle a uniswap style tool on their own.... it really is just a UI issue.. and xchain.io/api should be all the APIs you need to pull any data from Counterparty into a tool or wallet 🙂

We have the Counterparty Improvement Proposal (CIPs) for actual improvements to the protocol.... and that seems to be working great for fundraising for development when needed..... https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/cips ..... Only reason that BLACKBOX works is because people have some level of trust I am not going to run off with the funds..... doing fundraises for individual projects would require some trust as well, as whomever holds the funds for a project could run away with the funds at any time...... I might be open to holding funds for individual projects/companies/ideas.... but it would have to be very clear on amounts raised, and milestones hit....... Kinda like I did for the spells of genesis crowdfund back in the day.... they provided a clear understanding of exactly what was being raised, who was holding the funds, and when funds could be released after milestones were achieved (just like CIPs).....
