Hi everyone, I need to raise a bit of XCP, so I'm selling some BLOCKFREIGHT tokens at a good price.
https://xchain.io/tx/1378678 -
@rarepepenewsdotcom what is Blockfreight used for?
-
Blockfreight™ the blockchain of global freight.
A shipping and logistics blockchain supporting 360,000,000 containers on network. An Open (MIT) Licensed, Borderless, Permission-less, Network for the Free-Trade of Physical Goods. Blockfreight™ is the most innovative and open platform for logistics in the world.
-
AFAIK you can't use the tokens for anything yet.... This project has been around for a while but haven't seen it do anything or produce anything
-
brought to you by the same guy that was going to bring you the XCP Bcash fork counterparty.cash ..... another project which has yet to produce anything other than promises and a website.
-
Those EOS guys are stopping at nothing trying to pull the crown from ETH. Love the prominent chinese translation placement.
Seems that blackhole contract could be recycled to port over ethereum tokens to Counterparty too. -
It's used for wildly optimistic long term bagholding
-
just offering to share the load and potential for 10X or 0X around a bit 😊
-
I think for newbies freewallet desktop, or a mobile wallet is the most usable way for them to interact with xcp blockchain assets. Have spoke to a few people recently who have never used counterparty before and they had a few issues figuring out the webwallet (even though I think it's simple)
they seemed to naturally click/feel more comfortable with a standalone app, but they didn't seem to be aware it existed (despite it being listed on the wallets page and xchain).
Thinking of ways to make it more obvious there are choices aside from CW -- users might have a better experience that way. -
Thank you everyone for the info @rarepepenewsdotcom @jdogresorg @M.G I'm going to try freewallet desktop next. It's about the only one I haven't tried yet. Thanks again everyone.
-
It's a great wallet. Has dankness.
-
I agree that FreeWallet is the best way for non-crypto folks to interact with/use assets. When I recommend people download it, I always have to make sure they download the right one, though... there's another "freewallet" app.
-
Yeah... I need to rebrand it... just waiting until I finish off all the features of the wallet first (Betting)
-
Wait. What's that. There's 2? Like 2 same Dev or 2 completely different?
-
completely different devs.....
-
freewallet.org is a closed source wallet..... they basically just rebrand it for every currency (monero, eth, btc, ltc, etc etc).... lots of complaints from ppl calling it a scam
-
freewallet.io is the one that is developed by me..... the mobile wallet is open source... the desktop wallet will be open sourced once I finish the betting development, and the dex/betting bounties are fully funded.
-

I like the web one @ Counterparty. io also using Indiesquare, BOO, but have heard that Both Mona & freewallet have cool trade pairs. Good to know thanks @jdogresorg going to try it out tonight.
-
Sounds good. Ping me if you have any issues 🙂
-
Will do. I heard I should be on the lookout for a certain Pepe to open the magic is that correct?
-
The value of bitcoin has seen significant losses over the last week,
-
Yes... the Exchange interface is hidden unless you hold an XCHAINPEPE token ($100) or a FULLACCESS token ($20)...... this is to help cover development costs as freewallet.io uses the xchain.io APIs extensively..... yet another thing I wrote and host at no cost to the community..... I'd be happy to send you a FULLACCESS token for you to check it out.... feeling generous today 😛
-
https://i.gyazo.com/92496c6f5729744c87387b8cbdbdb616.png doesn't look so bad
-
$400 loss over a week..... not that big of a drop really.... this is Bitcoin... give it a week... it'll be higher... or lower 😛
-
or we all have lambos
-
@AbsentSixth https://xchain.io/tx/308d90fbada1fa165464892ac7e0d2804764a02853b8bbb46005bf4f5af7875a ..... in order to see the exchange interface in freewallet... just switch to the address that has your FULLACCESS token.... once the token is detected in ANY of your wallet addresses, you automatically get access to the exchange interface 🙂
-
Wow I couldn't you have been massive in generosity already. Ill have to get a gift basket sent out to you as soon as possible in return. Thanks again @jdogresorg
-
-
It's a custodial wallet
-
You don't hold the private keys
-
That's why it's called a scam - people who try to spend their money suddenly get funds locked and asked to provide KYC/AML
-
wow sounds so free 😂
-
There is zero reason to use a custodial wallet in crypto at this point, freewallet is sketch af
-
-
So agreeing with that @Needmoney90.
-
There's plenty of great things about crypto but no. 1 imo is control & responsibility for how and what you do with it.
-
I mod /r/Monero, and we need to be very careful not to call out (publicly as moderators) companies/services as scams if they aren't. There's some libel risk, and usually the representatives will try many tactics to get removed. Freewallet is one of the services I am fully willing to openly point out as sketchy, and I have what is (I feel) an ironclad explanation for why.
-
Recently there was a whole thing about removing changelly from the unofficial 'scams' list, which had some backlash from the community
-
The lines in this space can get so blurred, it's hard to figure out what's legit and what's not
-
But you do mean the. Org not the io correct?
-
Correct
-
Jdog's freewallet is awesome
-
It sucks its got the same name
-
I'm sure it impacts usage
-
Kool were on the same page. I think if I remember correctly the. Org came into existence after JDog's as well? Either way a slimy move no less deplorable than bitcoin. Org a real site compared to the. Com of same name.
-
And btw @Needmoney90 I really appreciate how proactive Monero supporters are for steering folks in a solid direction even if it isn't directly towards Monero itself. I found the community on reddit Monero to be quite cool that way, even though I haven't been there in some time. Kudos
-
Thanks man. We try :)
-
I'll say. And you do it in style.
-
Yes
-
@jdogresorg I know it's not fair, as they came second. But would you consider changing your wallet's name to ditch the association?
-
I realize it's a big ask.
-
Unfortunately, freewallet is a bad word to most of the crypto space (its usage in counterparty notwithstanding)
-
Yeah... already said I would rebrand when I have the wallet done.
-
2weeks wallet
-
I really wish it wasn't the only reasonable path to take :/
-
Yup. Shame about the overlap, I think that's the best option though, new name- can keep old logo, it's cool- just avoids the associations with the other brand.
-
Those eyes tho
-
I've been observing RVN coin recently that launched a year ago and promotes it's killer feature as "unique assets". (which are on testnet) The lead developer claims this is not possible on other platforms and that its other selling point was a "fair launch"
Thing is, from what I can see theres nothing new there, that XCP wasn't already doing since 2014, which also launched fairly. In fact, many features that you can do on XCP, on a more secure blockchain are missing. I don't quite understand why it's getting attention and XCP is not. -
plus no DEx
-
weak
-
-
I was surprised to see you so active in there
-
What is their chain?
-
I've been reading the chatter on Ravencoin too and can't figure wtf they are doing. I almost figured it might have been Counterparty rebranding?? It's whacked. As if everyone is trying to capitalize on XCP under the radar.
-
What a joke
-
hacked?
-
Attacked or compromised temporarily is probably more fair
- 03 November 2018 (13 messages)
-
How are you going to do that??
-
🤣😅🤣🤣where did you get that informations from??
-
simple... pick a new name, incorporate it into the logo, register new domain name, move github repos, put out a new release.... done.... prolly wont happen till sometime next year.
-
Alrigjy thanks for the information
-
For 1) github 2) discord
-
How’s that ?
-
How's what?
-
Yeah I’m asking
-
-
Still not clear what it is you're asking

The partnership between the two firms will see Hundsun opening up Symbiont's smart contract software to its Chinese customer base. In particular, the partnership will focus on "[streamlining] business processes in both public and private securities markets", according to Symbiont.

When we distribute our coin, we must pay 0.00005 for each address?
-
-
No. CP now uses enhanced sends which do not require sending dust..... the dust method was required in the past, but now things are encoded differently and dust is no longer required ( tho u can still send dust if you really wanted)
-
Same... catch that falling knife n get some cheap xcp 😜
-
Yeah.... old news... but still disappointing..... would have been nice if symbiont built their stuff on CP.... but that ship sailed a while ago 🙁
-
Counterparty got a shout out on the Symbiont blog just a few weeks back, and in an OP-ed on coindesk, I think clearly counterparty is not the primary tool for the majority of enterprise use cases but I don't think it's been totally forgotten about.

We got an auction cooking in @bitcorns chat tonight at 9pm EST. Even if you’re not paying attention to the corn fields, it’s a hoot to watch the price action.

Can we bid on the auction with anything? or just crops?

I'm trying to pay a distribution on counterwallet, but I get an error that says I can't do it in my country (US). Any tips?
-
VPN?
-
xcpkey.com doesn't have that restriction, but otherwise VPN.
-
I thought it was just the betting that was filtered.
-
Also good to know, in case anyone asks that in future.
-
hi guys
-
are u trading on bitcorn?
-
ok
-
buy
-
-
that being said... BTC works on the DEX fine.... just need to use a wallet which watches for the BTC order matches and pays them.... I wrote freewallet with "Auto-BTCpay" functionality..... so that as long as you leave your desktop wallet open and running, the wallet will automatically monitor for any BTC order matches and pay them (if Auto-BTCpay is enabled) or notify you that you have X blocks to make a payment on the order match.
-
it actually has been done a few times... counterwallet supported BTC on the dex.... joe wrote a btcpaymarket (dot) com wallet that supported it..... someone forked that codebase for btc2xcp (dot) com.... and I wrote freewallet (dot) io with BTC dex support 🙂
-
Just forwarding a good discussion over here from the other XCP TG group concerning BTC on the dex (freewallet/trezor) and the reboot of btc2xcp, in case anyones not in there. Would be nicer if we had a unified group but alas
(also some nice discussussion on MCAT/MPMA fee reduction and node incentivization) -

It’s a very good idea. This type of awareness can go along way if done correctly and adopted by educators/curriculum writers.
I remember years ago (in the metal fabrication industry), HAAS made a concerted effort to get their machines into trade schools and government training facilities, even at deep discounts. The succeeded, and many graduates entered the workforce with good working knowledge of the HAAS machine/controls. Machine shops throughout the government/military instillations started equipping the HAAS machines because their operators/engineers were asking for it and writing it in specs. It spread and now they own a very large percentage of market share.
It’s a long game, but like anything, people like to use what they’re familiar with. -
You'll have to teach them about Rare Pepes, tho

RVN vs XCP report (ravencoin compared to counterparty)
Posted in r/Ravencoin by u/ArmchairAnalyst2018 • 12 points and 18 comments
-
XCP should apply for other exchanges. Their are many out there needing new coins with liquidity and a community behind it. cointiger(dot)pro
-
-
It seems it's being held back purposely. Getting added to more exchanges gives it more accessibility and broadens the audience. Tux sux, Zaif limited, Bittrex limited, Poloniex is it still there. Does DEX offer bitcoin and other major pairs? Everyone dont want to download freewallet and buy a special card to activate btc trading and then wait for the trade to complete.
-
-
Agreed. I'm still regularly impressed that 65% of btc blocks contain XCP transactions stats considering the current attention. Triggers would be stuck if it wasn't for dex, Few more interesting projects and attractive fees could create quite an active economy here, like the crypto only version of bisq.
If only we could trustlessly swap tether on omni to xcp chain for dex use.
not totally trustless either but I'd love to see a decentralized gift card market popup, or an event ticket exchange. Current solutions for both are clunky and full of fees. -
what is YUMMYISLAND ? i received this token today in my XCP online wallet

What can you say? Is it worth investing?
-
I think yes

I like that they are going to solve a couple of problems connected with everyday cryptoworld routine... and also they are partners with RMP games!

Right.

I’m crypto enthusiast but I’m not sure I have enough experience

So this project would be useful for me
