What was the bug, specifically? -
Someone tried to open a dispenser on an empty address real quick in 2 transactions mined in the same block.... first transaction opened the dispenser on the empty address... second transaction was seen as a refill, so refill amount was debited from the source address... but not credited to the empty dispenser, so a sanity error was thrown.... fix was to add code to only allow refills from source address (how it was supposed to behave in the first place, cuz you can't refill a dispenser on a different address)

no, the dispenser exists... it is just a display issue on xchain... somehow the asset_id is getting set to 0 on the dispenser

My Dex-Trade deposit update- Today I had a contact with one of the support members on their official telegram group again. The thing they said is the financial dept. is far too occupied to deal with these problems now. So I think think twice before you make a deposit to dex-trade nowadays. It is clear that they are overwhelmed with the traffic of transactions lately. -
Maybe I’m missing something, but is there a way to view solely open dispensers across the whole of xchain, instead of searching cards manually on freewallet? -
then you have sent btc to that user, try to look for incoming txs in the unconfirmed tab before commiting to use a dispenser, maybe take chunks if the dispensensing small ammounts to avoid risk

this kinda of one-time use of a subasset is discouraged... as it bloats the CP database for a one time usage token which will never be used by other users.... please try to avoid this method and just stick with broadcasts.

maybe I can write something into freewallet to notify peopel when their address is used in a broadcast... so you could just broadcast "Hey XXXXXX address, contact me at YYYYYY", etc... then when they go into the wallet they will get a notification to check a broadcast.

in freewallet, use the 'destroy asset' function on your owned assets, to bring down the supply, OR you could send them to a burn address - I think most people now would prefer the destory function because it means that other apps (using the CP data) dont have to figure out the burns etc.

about dex-trade, I sent a few without a memo. Contact was immediate and helpful. However I am also stuck two days at waiting for the xcp to show up. Another transaction showed up. 99% says there are so many people doing stuff so they are overloaded. But wanna also add that there are some problems with them. -

nope... no boosting in freewallet... you can use btcnitro.com to try and get it to get processed faster... but in the future, if you want a transaction processed quickly, pay a high fee, or even higher than suggested to guarantee it gets mined quickly.... ya never know how fast the mempool can go from 5K transactions to 35K or higher

If you create another tx from the same wallet, it might create a child pays for parent tx fee if the fee comes from the same UTXO. Just overpay on the new tx, but it’s not guaranteed. It’s more likely if you haven’t received any new BTC in the wallet in the meantime though. -
can i prune one service and then re-docker it in the fednode setup?... cant quite seem to get counterparty (lib/cli) to play, says its connecting to SQLite, then just kinda hangs while bitcoin and addrindexrs seems all up to speed.

In freewallet you can only view assets in one wallet at a time... so you have to set the active wallet to view the assets in it

changing wallet addresses does not effect anything in the other wallets

you can just do a check every 60 seconds via get_running_info API call and look at result->last_block->block_index and if the block is different than the last time you checked, you know CP parsed a new block and you can request extended info on that block and its transactions

MPMA was suppose to make txs cheaper, but a bonus effect seems like faster conformation times also.
Meaning you can send multiple assets at the minimum vs sending a single asset at the minimum and the multiple asset send will confirm much faster at the same price. -
You send someone an asset at 0.00001 fee and the blocks are busy, it may not arrive for days….
But if you wait to do 1 MPMA a day, the 0.00001 may confirm in the first block of send. -

These guys raised teh listing fee a couple months ago on us and went back on their agreement to list for the amount we collected... so no longer interested in doing a listing on an exchange where they change the terms of the deal.... Still not sure exactly what these funds will go to... definitely to anotehr exchange listing... kinda just waiting for the price of BTC to go up and then maybe use it to get us on a larger exchange.

Also probably going to let the vindax listing expire.... no real volume there to speak of at all... and tired of paying $300/mo for their trading bot to generate fake volume.... it is clear that no XCP users really want to use that exchange... so as much as it sucks, think it is the right move to just let the exchange listing expire and focus on more reputable exchanges..... people are using dex-trade.com just fine and we are pushing $100k+ in volume through that exchange daily

IMO having an exchange which supports US based customers with KYC is much needed, as most of our users are US based, and I get MANY complaints about the withdraw limits imposed on dex-trade.com.... having an exchange where someone in the US can throw 1 BTC on the exchange, buy XCP, and then withdraw that 1 BTC worth of XCP the same day is a big step in the right direction

correct.. I said we had funds for listing, they said the CEO had changed his mind adn that they wanted like $5k more... I told them we had a verbal agreement, they said nothing was written down and signed and that the CEO changed the listing fee on us.... I told them that it was best we part ways and that we were no longer intersted in listing on an exchange where they change the terms of the deal

I think we should add p2pb2b listing to support our US based customers, then wait another month or so and see where teh volume level is on dex-trade and p2pb2b before considering adding any more exchanges..... all exchanges have minimum daily requirements for volume and not sure XCP is there yet for most of the top 20 exchanges.... p2pb2b will suspend the daily volume requirements for 6 months... so we will be able to see how generic volume develops for at least 6 months before we need to pay for a bot service to generate volume to keep the listing (hopefully not)

you should not use counterwallet for BTC purchases on the DEX as it will not work

using BTC on the dex requires you to send a btc payment when the order matches.... something counterwallet doesn't do

if you do want to use BTC on the dex to buy things, then use freewallet.io desktop wallet

your BTC is not lost/sent in counterwallet if you placed a buy/sell order for BTC/PEPECASH... your order will just match with other ordres, and since your not sending the BTC automatically (counterwallet doesnt support it), your order will expire

Polo and bittrex hold about 400-500k xcp if I remember correctly.
Some of the bag may be theirs, but I think the majority now belongs to the US government.
Reason being, as a broker/dealer, you are not allowed to keep your customers funds even if they die, they must be returned to the state.
XCP hasn’t moved from their wallets since delisting, so gov is certainly not in possession yet. -
But the gov is now the rightful owner of that xcp (whatever amount of xcp that doesn’t belong to the exchange themselves).

If there's a backlog of transactions or other objective issues they should issue comms explaining everything and maybe put trade on hold. Be open and honest. Its about our funds after all. Instead they just keep telling some bullshit, do not disclose real reasons, keep promising. Dodgy af. And its not a single case. Community needs to be aware. If they dont sort it asap they will have a damage too

I consistently see funds flowing out of their wallet, and numerous users here have reported they are able to withdraw funds after a brief delay... so, not sure what the big issue is.... YES, it would be great if they processed deposits and withdraws better, but they are processing them in time.... and YES, we want to be on a trditional exchange as that is where most of the liquidity is and is the only way the coin will rise in price on sites like coinmarketcap.com, coingecko.com, etc... without being on centralized exchanges, XCP price will return to where it was for the past few years when we had no exchange listings...... We just paid for a p2pb2b.io exchange listing which is a top 20 exchange on coingecko.com and will bring more accessability to US based customers as they support US based customers, as well as will add to the XCP Liquidity, which is a good thing.

I personally am not a big fan of centralized exchanges, but I can see some value in having them like when the masses wnat to buy XCP with BTC and dispenser purchases are not tracked by anyone, so appears as if there is no volume when in actuality there is... plus BTC/XCP on the DEX is not exactly easy to use (unless you use freewallet.io desktop wallet)

did you login to the scam wallet trying to get some BONUSBTC?

if so, then your passphrase was probably compromised... only login to official wallets linked from counterwallet.io or freewallet.io desktop wallet

I added some code to xchain yesterday to hide the scam URLS from the BONUSBTC and COUNTEREVENT asset pages... they are scam assets where the scammers try to trick you into logging into their fake counterwallet page which then steals your 12-word passphrase.... if your funds are moving and your not moving them, that is the most likely culprit

Unfortunately no... this is why the wallets all tell you to write your passphrase down, don't lose it, and only to login to officially supported wallets with this passphrase 🙁

You are correct... 20 tokens will fund the CIP24 according to Johns estimate... but there were also some stretch goals in the CIP that we really need to get done as well, so i'll leave the dispenser open selling tokens to help reach those stretch goals

Yes it’s called a refill…. Just act like your creating a new dispenser with the price and amount you want to escrow and the dispenser will update the price and add the desired escrow quantity to the amount already in the dispenser

Another question sir, (sorry for asking many questions but I want to clear everything about dispensers):
If the Token/Card in a dispenser is DIVISIBLE and someone sends less amount of BTC, means smaller than the full amount required, so will that Dispenser send FRACTIONAL amount of token/card or nothing will happen? -
the dispenser will only vend out dispense_amount when the btc_amount is reached or exceeded
