Even had a moment of silence with some couple walking their Labrador who stopped to inquire what they were doing
-
Imagine walking around the groove cruise (fully booked ~3000 people with like 6 or 7 dj set ups on the boat, 24/7 parties), and running into this

Ok sorry for the off-topic
-
@jdogresorg familiar with xcer.co?
-
For minting
-
yes... have some physicals from him... reputable guy
-
@XCERXCP is the one you'll want to speak with... he has experience minting physical cards associated with a blockchain token with private key stored on card
-
Cool, thank you
-
@XCERXCP I'm looking into minting an NFT of a physical item, specifically a capsule that will be at specific coordinates on the moon shortly. The NFT should be able to include proof of authenticity by the way of urls linking to the contract with the launch company)
-
-
-
I thought that at first, but decided this is valuable info that others might want to know
-
A lot of ppl don't realize that xcp can do just about everything when it comes to this space as eth and its tokens can
-
Pretty annoying hearing how awesome this new idea is, called.. NFTs. Made possible by ethereum
-
Smh
-
Yea true you right
-
Mother fucker rare pepe! Long before a buzz word (or buzz acronym as it were) was needed to describe individual, unique assets that people were willing to pay bank for
-
I slacked on pepes 5 or 6 years ago, and then again on bitcorn cards when I started my farm. No original cards from me yet....
-
How long does it take for 48x48 image to appear on xchain after uploading to coindaddy?
-
24h. Use browser in private mode to avoid browsers cache

Burn address

hello everyone. When setting up a dispenser, the fee is 45cents (give or take) but when i try to create im being "told" that i need 0.0025 BTC ($105) at address. Why? Surely i only need the amount to cover the trades? 😐
-
Same for when i go to send BTC. It wont let me send BTC unless i have approx. $2.50 left worth of BTC in wallet.
-
*Freewallet.
-
Note: So i sent a little extra btc to wallet in question, had about $7 worth of btc there and now i was able to create dispenser. Seems you need around $7 in btc to cover fees. (never done this before)
-
No, your BTC was just broken up into little pieces. You didn’t have a piece big enough in your wallet to send the tx.
-
i see, thanks Xcer. i added a little more and was able to create dispenser.
-
-
Its official! Only 32 days afterwards my XCP deposit on dex-trade is finally through!
-
bet you'll remember to send with a memo from now on huh? 😛
-
-
Congratulations! I had the exact same issue on my first deposit... Had to be VERY patient
-
hahah most certainly I will!
-
FYI Withdrawals are also quite slow... just so you know
-
Is it possible to send xcp from the command line (using counterpartyd I assume) without requiring a full bitcoin node ?
-
counterparty-cli requires counterparty-lib... counterparty-lib requires a working addrindexrs... a working addrindexrs requires a working bitcoin client.... you don't have to run a full node if you don't want to... but, you do need to either build and encode the transactions yourself (like RPW does) or use api.counterparty.io to talk to a counterparty server to generate the unsigned transactions for you
-
Thanks!
-
Wow it took 32 days?
-
Strange, some of my messages are vanishing the moment I type them... issues with Telegram?
-
Next XCP block is https://xchain.io/block/9999999
-
Sorry if that's a stupid question, but if I have created an unsigned transaction, what's a good simple way to sign and send it? Something like electrum?
-
should be fixed now... sometimes the bots get a lil overzealous with deleting stuff from new users
-
you can sign and broadcast in freewallet.io desktop wallet
-
Dogeparty
Today we are proud to announce the rebooting of the Dogeparty platform! Dogeparty is a smart contract built on top of the Dogecoin (DOGE) network for minting tokens and NFTs. dogeparty.net/dogeparty-plat… dogeparty.xchain.io #Dogecoin #Dogeparty $XDP $DOGE #NFTs #Bern #MoonFuel

That is prolly what your looking for tho 🙂
-
-
-
first one to hit cancels.. the others should just throw error that order is already cancelled
-
-
-
waiting 4 hrs for a send... and counting.
-
-
This is big news for CP. We will be able to piggyback off of Dogepartys tech upgrades which will make it very cheap for CP implement.
-
Indeed... already made some improvements to Dogeparty that will be making their way back up into Counterparty in the coming releases (the ability to issue/transfer/lock an asset all in the same issuance rather than having to do 3 separate transactions)... as well as some other improvements... future looks bright for Dogeparty.net and counterparty.io
-
wow. nostalgia feels

Hi,
Is there a way to get rid of the decimals of the tokens I issued? -
not currently... in the future we pay allow changing divisibility, but for now your stuck with what you choose in the first issuance
-
loosegoose88
So I see the FEELSGOODMAN cards and asset ownership was sent to a new address. @Matt_Furie safe to assume this is you? Seems like we have the ONLY possible new RAREPEPE coming soon?
-
😍
-
I understand. Thank you for your reply.
-
DANIEL GOT HITS
rarepepes are an endgame play for me 📈📈 insanely bullish right now
-
Hey guys, there is the wallet ( 1EP2A86bnSGz773HTBtsD3wvmD6HuwU2XU ) airdropping XCP tokens such as https://xchain.io/asset/IHAVEAOFFER ; seem to be a scam of sort ; or at least unwanted publicity. not sure if anything can be done but hey +)
-
best would be to issue a global ban on the mentioned telegram id so no one falls for it , if that's doable
-
Ah
-
@ShawnLeary : )
-
@JanKrekian just get to RarePepe trading official chan https://t.me/joinchat/QJdrG2ehHAfk5lKw 🙂
-
this is a good place to be. the thing is there is a lot of scam on OS with airdrops, a bit of an unusual way to contact ppl
-
it’s just spam, ignore it
-
Didn't see the issuer address in chat so i assumed it was nobody from this group
-
Still, if you're interested in a given card, just ask on the trading chan, it'll be more effective than xcp emails or smth. Message will go around and eventually you'll be contacted . some deals are going through private escrow ( eg: theo from nftauction )
-
Is it possible to see a wallets "other" addresses somehow? I sent funds to a wallet "2nd" address, but i dont know which is the main wallet address. (just the 2nd address) 😐
-
From a MAIN Address can you see the "other" wallet addreses somehow? (if not, would be a very handy feature to have).
-
-
Hi, is it not possible to send from btc from freewallet to a bc1 address?
-
-
Freewallet tells me the adresse is not valid
-
-
No , mobile
-
-
Freewallet desktop only shows 10 addresses. But i think i created an extra address and sent funds to it. Probelm is i cant see any wallet with address No.11
-
is it possible to find addresses, within a main wallet address?
-
my problem. i know where coins where sent from. (can log into wallet and check other addresses) But the address they were sent to...... i have no idea what it is.
-
im sure it was a No.11 address. But in the wallet where it was sent from, when i enter the address in question, it finds nothing.
-
😐 So.. 8hrs later....
-
looks like i will have to go thought all wallets one by one 60+ of them.
-
Did you search for the wallet address in freewallet? I’m guessing so.
-
yeah.
-
its a total mystery, as the wallet i sent it to, was a "Virgin" wallet also, which makes me think the address i sent it to, is a main wallet address because after that it was then sent to another address (within same wallet).
-
i will have to do it the hard way it seems. Would be great if Xchain showed any "sub addresses" also.
-
-
(i have balances in all other wallets, this is what makes me think even if i go through all passphrases, i still wont find it.)
-
subaddress, as in. log into "main wallet, address No.1 then addresses 2 - 10 are sub address.
-
-
-
yeah i found out about that, after i made 60+ individual wallets
-
-
i now see, that all addresses are separated.
-
👍🏻
-
-
-
yeah, i found that out the hard way also.
-
Is it possible to add 60 address to one passphrase/wallet?
-
as they only show 10.
-
-
one 12-word passphrase can generate an unlimited amount of addresses
-
-
you don't need to have 2 12-word passphrases as that is just going to cause you problems
-
yeah. i will try and condense things down.
-
don't switch back and forth in freewallet.io desktop wallet.. just use one 12-word passphrase and then add addresses as needed via the "Change Address" option and the "Options->Add New Address" options 🙂
-
it was the warning about using clean wallet for a Dispenser, that made me end up using 3 addresses in the process.
-
1. wallet used, to send coins to new address.
-
2. but i then sent the coins from that address. to the no.3 address. which i cant access.
-
yeah... just telling you your gonna continue to have issues if you keep swapping 12-word passphrases... your overcomplicating it
-
use just one 12-word passphrase going forward.
-
not sure why people keep creating multiple wallets rather than just using one..... causing a big support headache for me as ppl switch then complain about addresses missing.. when in reality the addresses are in other wallets
-
thanks, noted. but i will have to enter 60 passphrases into webwallet to try and locate this dispenser wallet. 😐
-
going to pick up Chinese before taking on the task. i wont use desktop wallet for entering passphrases.
-
-
Some good thoughts. So what’s up with that reserved card moving? Haha
Someone here knows haha -
-

👊
-
whats the best way to import another address by priv key to counterwallet / dex?
thx -
you can EZ do that on freewallet
-
ok, I always used counterwallet. There I have to swipe the old wallet🤔
-
I´ll give it a try
-
thx
-
👍🏻👍🏻
-
same there. They write I have to sweep an address. This brings ALL assets from the old to the new address?
-
-
doesn`t need this a lot of fees?
-
is it save? 😱
-
thx
-
cheaper than sending one by one
-
yessir.
-
so there is no way to import my old address via the priv key?
-
EXCEPT BTC
-
good to know👍🏻👍🏻
-
???
-
there is
you take the private key and import it to freewallet -
-
uh, I didnt saw this
-
sorry...I must have overlooked
-
thx
-
ok, thx. I found it. a bit hidden but it is there😀😀👍🏻👍🏻
-
thx again

Correct

Is there an image anchor function built into counterparty yet? I couldn’t find one just playing around so far

Good points thank you
Just trying to find a way to tie an image / URL to the TXID -
Just started playing with this so I am very new to assets on the timechain

Hello everybody, early hodler here from the time back when XCP devs would rebuild Ethereum's virtual machine on Counterparty in one night to one up the upstarts that was the motley crew called "Ethereum Foundation", that got overexcited over their "Touring completeness" and high profile board members, of which almost none stayed on after the initial fanfare was over. Well, a lot of things have happened and a different contender to the smart contract throne has made the race, then what many, including myself, at the time believed. A sure fire success with a head start on its competitors called: Counterparty!
Turns out Bitcoin wasn't ready to host smart contracts for a lack of scalability and reluctance to innovate and develop what was necessary to do that, so a new chain would have to be built for the sprawling ecosystem that is now Ethereum. Now to my question:
With developments on other chains as a template of how successful and scalable systems can be designed and the Lighning Network growing by the day and delivering after 8 years what is needed for a scalable smart contract based ecosystem to the Bitcoin blockchain: are there any plans for Counterparty to fulfill its promise and become the ONE protocol to bring all the utility of smart contracts and Defi to Bitcoin we always wanted?
(or are we basically happy with the rare Pepe phenomenon and wait for it to fizzle out with the next bear market, sinking XCP with it back to obscurity?)
Sorry if I went a bit overboard in the end but Im just really excited to see all right ingredients here right now for Counterparty to fulfill its promise after all these years and becone the number one network for higher applications on Bitcoin. -
-
Counterparty IS a smart contract on the Bitcoin blockchain, and it has been working well for the past 7+ years. We have no plans to bring the EVM online. There have been some discussions of a writing a non-turing complete virtual machine, which we might do in the future... but as for now, we are focused on incremental improvements to the Counterparty protocol including oracled dispensers and updating dispensers to allow for payment using counterparty assets

Proof-of-concept VM Development
So i’ve recently started to develop a minimal pure python Virtual Machine tailored specifically for counterparty. I’m starting this thread to keep note of development and design decisions, and also to get input from the community regarding what should the VM do. FAQ Why not use EVM? EVM was designed with ethereum blocktimes and specifics in mind. CP has already a lot of groundwork regarding tokens, bets and a lot of useful functions that don’t need to be recoded in a smart contract. Isn’t...

From what I can gather the plan is to fund JDog to further the infrastructure of counterparty. Unless I’m wrong there is nobody working on counterparty. Participants in the rarepepe phenomenon are the only people sponsoring the only active dev in the counterparty space. It looks a lot like fans of the rarepepe project are acting as the counterparty board, voting which projects they want pursued using their own money to fund JDog. Am I wrong here?
-
I am creating initiatives to fund various components of counterparty via BLACKBOXES (bugfixes, general fund, server hosting, quit my job fund, etc)... myself and Javier have been working on Counterparty the past few months and have made some improvements, and that will continue in the future.
-
I think this furthers my point. For anybody returning to counterparty from the beginning, what you see here IS counterparty. JDog and the community that supports him. Maybe I’m just a JDog maximalist
-
church of Jdog.
-
Counterparty is the community here... not just me... i'm just the dude keeping the lights on and doing what I think is best for the community to move things forward.
-
-
I see and I am grateful that you held the torch up all those years. I also understand that the Rarepepes are a lucky shot for Counterparty since it brings attention, community and funds to the project. All I am asking is: are you confident this will suffice for a continued development into the future and throughout the inevitable bear market, which will collapse the current hype that are NFTs at least until the next crypto bubble 3-4 years down the road? Would it not be better to broaden the scope of the project and rest it on two or three more use cases? This would undoubtedly require more developers part-/ or fulltime and funds to pay for the development. But if you are ready to lead the team and share some responsibility, than I am sure millions are available for a proven and thriving project like Counterparty that can track its beginnings even further then 99% of coins alive today. It would certainly better the chance for Counterparty to remain relevant in the future, when the evolved crypto economy turns to Bitcoin as a L1 to do what is being done on Ethereum et al. The only reason why Ethereum emerged as the dominant platform for the Defi economy is because Bitcoin couldnt do what was necessary. I think with the Lightning Network it is now possible and many projects will at least branch out to the safest, most liquid and popular chain there is, which is Bitcoin, Counterparties home. Do you see the chances here as well?
-
-
I am happy with the slow-and-steady path that Counterparty has taken the past few years making incremental improvements to the protocol.... I am not a big supporter of trying to cram a bunch of brand new experimental features into the platform before it is clear that there is demand for said features... the value of Counterparty is having tokens on the strongest chain, not trying to be some "do-everything-to-chase-the-hypecycle" type of project
-
I see lots of cool potential for us to do some very cool things with oracled dispensers and updating dispensers so you can pay them with any counterparty asset.... that is where I am focused next, after misc bigfixes and getting all the current features of Counterparty working properly (still broken around the edges in some instances)
