Technical clarification... we dont use bare-multisig in multi-sends... we use P2SH 2-part txs... tho you can use multisig with any CP function by specifying "encoding":"multisig".... tho wont work with MPMA

Counterparty encountered a parsing issue with the new issuance IDs and doing a first issuance with description set to null...
Javier and I identified the issue immediately after 9.61.0 activation in block #819,301. The issue was identified in my testing of the new issuance formats on mainnet.
Counterparty API servers were down for a total of 31 minutes while Javier and I diagnosed/debugged the issue, got a fix in place, tested it, and deployed it to the API servers.
Additionally, I have also done a bunch of tests of the new issuance formats (asset/subasset ids 22/23) on mainnet... issue, reset, lock, transfer, etc.... all seem to be working as expected... so, putting out this hotfix release ASAP. -

Given that the last two foundations that were elected, essentially did nothing and counterparty has survived the last three years on its own with no foundation… I don’t believe that a group of community elected leaders necessarily means counterparty moves forward…. You know this Duncan… you were on the last foundation that was elected, held meetings a few times never accomplished anything, and then never had another election…. TLDR don’t think foundations are effective in CP…. Seems to be working fine for doge party…. but for whatever reason, only the first three years was the foundation effective and able to accomplish anything other than talking

I made a couple rarepepe cards in 2016-2018.... then nadda til I made a few stamps early stamps (sub 1000)..... happy with you making a card/image and me giving the ok to use it... but unfortunately, not a graphic designer, and crazy busy now with working on dogeparty updates and the new multi-chain BTNS platform for next year... so no time for designing a kekmas card.... 😢️️️️️️

Anything in mempool is considered invalid. The first thing confirmed is the truth.
If you make multiple tx in the mempool that are incompatible, the highest fee wins. Otherwise they will all pass -

When I update a description with a json the effective fee is 1/2 of whatever I paid for the tx. I assume there is a second transaction carrying the data but I can’t see it on mempool.space. Can it be viewed anywhere?

tx disappeared from mempool prolly cuz of low fee n too long in mempool... cant say exactly how a new tx would be handled... it would depend on if you used a UTXO from the old/pending tx or a new one entirely

updating descriptions (issuance) is a single tx... the data is encoded in the tx in a way that you can't read it yourself.. gotta have CP decode it to tell you waht it says 🙂

No... this is not a "replay attack"... this is an attack vector that we already knew about... previously scammer just had to pay the BTC fee to close the dispenser in next block... we now delay closing dispenser for 5 blocks... so now scammers have to send the full amount of BTC to the dispenser to buy it out and pay higher BTC fee.... no way to make dispensers 100% safe in a single tx... it is tougher to scam now with the 5-block close delay, and costs the scammers more $$$, but still possible.... There is also a proposal to do a reservation system on dispensers, where a partial payment is sent to reserve the token, then the rest of the payment is sent... this is an interesting idea, and could be added to dispensers as an optional feature if that is what the communmity wants... however, as dispensers were created as a way to do single btc payments and get a token back... making dispenesrs a forced 2-tx action is a no-go for me... an optional reservation system sounds good tho :)

Haven't used multi-send in a bit. Given the current state of the mempool, is it better to do a 15 asset send or just do individual sends? Last thing I want is for the txn to get stuck, and its difficult to estimate a high-enough fee with multi-send... thoughts?

If you send assets 2 to 1 addy or the same asset to 2 addy with ninja wallet, it will be an op_return send, imo that's the cheapest safe way to.

You can trade it for other assets on the Dex. Counterparty could be used for many things if Bitcoin/crypto wins vs. fiat. Could be good to buy and hold XCP if you have conviction in Counterparties future

CP recently adjusted to a dynamic fee based on how many balances and asset issuances you were having to do with the sweep... tho that fee seems a bit expensive 😛 pls create a github issue with your address and erorr message and we'll dig into it and get it fixed if there is an issue.... I wonder if it's because I'm short on XCP. I only have 1.49 in my wallet. The example tx above moved 1,415 tokens for 2.842 XCP. I'll buy 10 XCP and see if that makes a difference. If not, I'll file the github issue. Thanks for taking a look @jdogresorg

if you have 12 words and they were used to generate private key you will need the correct derivation path then you will get the privkey and address your looking for
