Did you install the latest version?
There’s now some auto donation feature, JDog announced in a few places last week.
If not that, then it’s something else going on. -
I haven’t installed it yet, so I do t know if there is a notification screen etc.
-
CoinJoin is a Bitcoin mixer
-
Never heard of it being involved in issuing a token before.
-
-
thats a big ol fee
-
-
-
-
Hmmm no idea how that worked.
That’s like Ethereum shitcoin LP swap level fees. -
@jdogresorg
-
-
-
Drop the xchain link as well please? I will see if I can figure out anything.
-
-
maybe consider turning the feature off, donating to xchain development, building a wallet of your own, there’s lots of ways forward that don’t make you look like a chump
-
Perhaps Pav was not aware of the new donation feature? If that’s what’s happened.
-
-
must have been something else then
-
-
yea, my mistake, it’s not about the donation fee
-
Something else is going on here
-
Shannon sorry that my ligit concerns over MY funds makes me look like a chump in your eyes
-
-
I’m not sure what the three 0.00078’s are and I’m sick in a hospital bed so don’t think I can help munch more tonight
-
I KNOW ADS can be set on % of transactions no?
-
Freewallet includes an Automatic Donation System (ADS) to support continued hosting and development of FreeWallet, XChain.io, and Counterparty projects.
You need to aware of the following :
ADS is enabled by default on all transactions
ADS settings can be edited at Settings->Preferences
ADS can configured to donate on % of transactions
ADS donation amount can be configured (default: 1,000 sats)
ADS donation cause can be configured (default: FreeWallet)
ADS can be disabled entirely
You DO NOT need to donate in order to use this wallet
I have read and understand the above about the Automatic Donation System (ADS). -
I’ll dip out for now, since I can’t see anything obvious that makes sense to me.
-
again apologies, it’s early and always a bit triggery when it seems someone is complaining about a free product they are using for free while the developer maintaining it has had to hold a full time job for years to make ends meet. I get that’s not the case with your comment this morning.
-
idk about ADS until now but love the idea and anything that supports @jdogresorg i'm 100% for.
-
at this point, your saying wallet is showing inaccurate fees
-
so... do an issuance.. screenshot what it says... let tx get mined... show me screenshot that shows one thing and Transaction that shows something different
-
then I know we have an issue
-
right now pointing me to old txs doesn't really help..t hey all look normal to me.... need to see what you paid as fee at the time, what wallet showed you, and waht tx showed you.... again, not trying to be difficult, but this is how debugging is done..... clear issue and steps to reproduce
-
if there is truly an issue, following the steps I gave above should show different prices on screenshot and tx... I dont thing that will be the case, but this is how you can verify
-
I am here to help and want to... its a fine balance between susing out ACTUAL issues... .and ppl just screaming about misunderstandings... tech details help.... thanks for understanding man. Nothing personal. Much love 🙂
-
^^ yesterdays issue has not come back with anything other than you…. Pls provide hard evidence… btc amounts, not usd pls👍🏻
-
Good morning party ppl👋
-
Morning good ser.
-
The 7800s are dust needed to write data to multisig tx…. Prolly expected op_return, used a larger description, required multisig, which required some 7800 outputs…. Hence screaming…. Latest version of freewallet shows data encoding fees… earlier versions didn’t… so, prolly that combo…. Old version of fw, multisig, n no warning on data encoding fees… all fixed in latest release👍🏻
-
Yes, I went out of my way to notify users about this ads system and how to configure or disable…. Not tryna sneak anything in, quite the opposite.. https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/issues/126Automatic Donation System (ADS) Acknowledgements · Issue #126 · jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop
While the Automatic Donation System (ADS) is necessary in order to collect donations to sustain FreeWallet and XChain, I still feel conflicted about this feature. I have done everything in my power...
-
btcnitro.com might work... tho I have a multisend at 34 sats/byte from 5+ days ago... I paid to accelerate 5+ days ago... still pending
-
so... not sure if paying to accelerate low fee txs really works right now.... they prolly got so many to accelrate, they just choosing most profitable, just like miners... vs mining everything ppl want to accelerate 🙂
-
Also.. worth mentioning... the goal of The Automatic Donation System (ADS) is to bring in consistent funding for Counterparty development... this is about having funds for the community to actually make some progress on things... we waited many yaers and have tried many different methods of funding and none work... the ONLY time that we have really seen traction is 1) when CP first launched and was getting bizz... or 2) When John and myself decided to stop relying on a "CP Foundation" to move things forward... and we started by collecting funds for CP and directing them where needed (exchange listings, bugfixes, improvements, server hosting costs, etc)..... The last 2 years of movement on CP is due largely in part to SOMEONE having SOME funds to direct towards various initiatives in CP..... this is just a continuation of that goal.... I just want to bring in consistent funding for CP, so we can keep building cool stuff, improving the ecosystem, and maybe have some funds for marketing, outreach, hackathons, etc..... This is not about putting money in my pocket (hopefully my history here has demonstrated I am not here for cash grab)... this is about getting sustainable funding in the door for CP 🙂
-
and, as I mentioned earlier, it is all optional, and can easily be disabled for anyone who doesn't want to donate... then Freewallet is just like your used to, free all the time... but, if you enjoy the wallet and site and community here, might want to consider donating to support... but, as always, its optional 🙂
-
-
should be... CP mempool should be showing all CP txs that are in its local BTC node.... likely there are still some old / low fee CP txs that are not seen... but, would say that CP mempool is like 99% accurate 🙂
-
-
-
-
-
there is no need to "backup" anything other than the 12-word passphrase (which you were forced to CONFIRM that you had written down the passphrase)
-
-
hopefully you followed instructions and wrote down that 12-word passphrase.... that is how you acess your funds... you can plug that 12-word passphrase into any counterparty wallet (make sure it is one you trust) and presto, it will access all the same wallet addresses
-
-
12-word passphrases are portable... counterwallet.io, freewallet.io, rarepepewallet.com, etc
-
ahh... in that cae the passphrase is just for unlocking freewallet...
-
so you can reset the wallet entirely... then just plug in your 12-word passphrase... bam.. back in with no password
-
tho would suggest you put a password on your wallet so that ppl can't just open your wallet and use funds without some basic protection... but yeah, password not needed always... if you have your 12-word passphrase, you good fam
-
-
Free wallet can be locked with a password?
-
yes.... click the lock icon... it prompts you for a password... from taht point on, anytime you open your wallet, you can SEE stuff, but you can't actually perform any actions (use funds) until you unlock your wallet.... just a way for you to have the wallet live on your machine, but still be "secure"
-
-
necessary for things like "Auto-BTCpay" where you need to leave the wallet open to monitor for BTC order matches and send BTC... we dont want ppl leaving their wallets open/ running / unlocked....so, you can now run freewallet "locked" so users on your computer can't acces your funds, but the wallet will still be able to sign transactions for you (if you have auto-btcpay enabled on any transactions, your asked to enter the wallet password when you first open wallet... so you can sign transactions automatically, but STILL keep wallet locked)
-
prolly TMI... but, more is better I think 🙂

Check the fees
-
At that point free wallet was showing 0.0004 as recommended high fee
-
-
again.. I asked you to provide 2 things... a SCREENSHOT of what the wallet is showing and a TRANSACTION.... you provided one.. need both to diagnose any issues..... this tx you linked is a normal issuance... you can see 3 outputs with 7800 outputs (multi-sig outputs needed to encode teh large asset description data), 1 output to donate to support freewallet (thank you), and a change output..... so, this looks perfectly normal....
-
Look at what?
-
you provided me with a link to an address
-
which transaction?
-
that is a link to an address, not a specific transaction... anyway, to answer your question... MPMA fees in this heavy fee environment is hard to calculate accurately... its on you to pay a super high fee to get stuff mined fast... improvements will be coming to freewallet, but good things take time... when mempool calms down, things should start getting processed again... when doing MPMA sends, send with an insane fee.. which should be based off the size of how many sends... cant expect to do a send of 1000 for cost of a single send... but yeah, fee estimates and getting them proper is hard 😛
-
If there are issues, please document them fully (with before transaction and after tranaction data... like screenshot and link to SPECIFIC transaction.. and with CLEAR description of what you feel issue is).
-
again...
-
still no idea waht tx your talking about
-
one tx at a time pls
-
post one issue... one link, allow me to investigate
-
here is what I am finding
-
your FIRST link... is part 2 of a 2-part MPMA send... the first part confirmed a long time ago with an appropriate fee... the SECOND tx is hanging and NOT confirming because of a low fee (4 sats per byte).... dunno if this tx will ever get mined cuz it is too low of a tx fee
-
and no way to bump it
-
tldr.... see above suggestion on using MPMA and calculating your own fees
-
if only 1 part of the 2-part MPMA transaction confirms, the assets never leave your wallet... and you just wasted fees encoding data into a tx, but you didnt "lose" any assets or anything 🙂
-
the second tx is what "triggers" CP to parse in the send data
-
</end diagnosis> 🙂
-
Blockstream Block Explorer
Blockstream Explorer is an open source block explorer providing detailed blockchain data across Bitcoin, Testnet, and Liquid. Supports Tor and tracking-free.
-
that transaction uses an output that goes to 17ooDFrLVihT9LC1FMs4vLDxbWnQ8fdy4U
-
so... to force it to confirm... send all your btc from 17ooDFrLVihT9LC1FMs4vLDxbWnQ8fdy4U back to 17ooDFrLVihT9LC1FMs4vLDxbWnQ8fdy4U
-
that will gather your utxos into a single utxo... send with a high fee
-
tho this is not how an mpma should be structured... so, not sure this is MPMA at this point... haven't decoded tx, no time to.. just quick looking at encoding method and guessing based on outputs, etc
-
what you want to do is spend all of your btc AT 17ooDFrLVihT9LC1FMs4vLDxbWnQ8fdy4U ... so send all your BTC somewhere... preferabbly back to yourself
-
sending yourself more BTC form some other wallet wont help
-
anyway.. back to coding.... If the community here could help with stepping up into a bit more of a support role, it would greatly be appreciated.
-
-
-
click the dispensers tab... anything you see in green is a dispenser (vending machine) that is selling XCP for BTC.... make sure you click on one that says "Dispensing 1.00000000 XCP"....
-
-
one your on a dispenser page... you just send BTC from your address to the dispenser address... when your BTC payment is confirmed, the dispenser will credit XCP to your account
-
if your new to CP, I suggest using freewallet.io 🙂
-
-
-
you can buy as many as the dispenser has in a single tx if you wish
-
You can buy as much as you like but also be cautious of the dispenser denomination
-
Some dispensers list 0.1 xcp as xcp is fractionalized.
-
-
There’s also confirmed dispensers ie people in the community selling xcp
-
As some have pulled dispensers when a tx is confirming technically “rugging” I’ve fortunately never had it happen but heard some have. I’ll dm you the confirmed dispenser chat. Or looking up in here you might find it
-
Much appreciated.

Is there a way on xchain to see just the stamps dispensers
-
not yet.... you'll eventually be able to see that info on a custom stamp site like tokenstamps.io
-
rarestamp.xyz has ability to see stamps that are in dispensers...
-
-
Not currently… requires Counterparty upgrade first

That’s all good, as I’d hoped it would be :)

import your key to electrum. you can send btc to taproot
-
Thanks for tip- I’ll probably have to do that
-
Hey there, newbie question pending.
-
If I have assets on wallet A and I go to make a dispenser on a clean wallet ala wallet B w no txns ever for a certain amount of assets sitting on wallet A for whatever market price, do I need to send the assets from wallet A to wallet B to be able to have people fulfill the dispenser request?
-
you can have TOKEN in address A... and open a dispenser on address B (no history)... the token is taken from address A, credited to address B, then a dispenser opens up on address B and the TOKEN is deducted from addressB and put into the dispenser on address B
-
you can open a new dispenser on a different/new address... but that address has to have no history... if it has any BTC history, then yeah, you gotta do what you think... send BTC and TOKEN to address B, then create dispenser from address B
-
Automatically on creating the dispenser it loads from A to B to B dispenser w/ nothing else required on user end?
-
correct... token goes from A to B and into dispenser on B
-
As long as no prior history.
-
yes
-
Thank you so much.
-
-
Again haha.
-
@jdogresorg a friend of mine is having an issue where freewallet will not let him send funds from his main wallet unless it has 0.0047 btc in it ($140) which doesn't seem right, nor needed to send $2 tx's.. is there a way to fix this without having to send $100 more dollars (btc) to his main address - also if I were to use the flag "—unconfirmed" when sending a tx, where would I input this?
-
-
1. the --unconfirmed flagg message is misleading and @pataegrillo is going to be removing it soon from this error message
-
2. the amount of BTC required depends on the fees and the size of the tx... cant say for sure why it is asking for larger fees without digging in more... but, there is not a technical issue... just running into an error when your dealing with tiny bits of BTC... if you want to stop having theses issues, best to just send a bit of BTC to the address... you keep dealing with small amounts, gonna keep having issues like this
-
we also fixed an issue related to this which is probably applicable here
-
Send change smaller than DUST to miners fee instead of error by pataegrillo · Pull Request #1228 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-lib
This fix adds a new parameter dust_size to the backend utxo sort function in order to change it from DEFAULT_MULTISIG_DUST_SIZE to DEFAULT_REGULAR_DUST_SIZE depending if the tx uses a "multisi...
-
If your dealing with tiny amounts of BTC... and the amount of change left to return is smaller than DUST, then the API throws an error
-
details in the pull request 🙂
-
the fix for this issue should be in a release after we get some time to test it a bit more 🙂
-
hopefully solve this long-running issue 🙂
-
After reading this and seeing the issue come up (mostly with new users) and now reading the details on this (I don't have a Github account). I think where you mention if you did implement the change to DEFAULT_REGULAR_DUST_SIZE where the "user specifies one BTC miners fee, but the actual BTC miners fee on the TX is a bit higher as it contains the extra sats," I think if you can calculate and show correctly that extra cost it will help new users. As they just wanna pay the fee and get the tx done.
Also many of those new users do not see 0.004 BTC as small amounts and feel "to use this wallet I need how much?" Even though its an ebb and flow of mempool fees sometimes, but other times as a user it doesn't feel that way (ex. "I have enough in my account!!")
I am for making it as smooth and easy as it can be to get the tx out as long as you are showing the right fee (if needs to be higher for whatever reason). Especially for new users messing with "small" amounts of btc to try things out.
Just my two cents on the issue. ;) -
by "this" i mean 'Fix for some of the Insufficient BTC at address... #1228'
-
beautiful good to hear

thanks for all the info jdog!

Hey guys Why do I have this transaction even though the block goes through and my transaction does not -
is it that these amounts of btc are "spread out" in some way on the address - where the user see's $40 (of btc) total in their account, but its really a conglomeration of smaller btc amounts (that adds up to $40) linked to the address in some way?
So it reads part of the tx as "dust" and some not? -
this tx is unconfirmed
-
Yes, I know, but why is this happening?
-
And I can't send a new transaction until this one is gone.
-
yes... could explain... $40 bill (single bill) is easier to handle than $40 in pennies... same principle here... more pennies you got to throw into tx, larger tx is, more fee is required... best to consolidate utoxs into a single utxo whenever possible..... especially when using funds from a dispenser, where the funds are spread out over a bunch of tinyer utxos..
-
best to gather all the dispenser BTC when you close, then you just have one big UTXO $40 bill... insead of $40 worth of pennies
-
Maybe there are people here who can help with my problem?
-
hmm, i see, I think seeing the fix you mentioned in #1228 and getting a couple tx tests for smaller amounts in there might help then - or adding a function to gather the btc in the main address (or show how it is in pennies and not a $40 bill) in some manner
to either show the user what the "pennies" are
or have the user say "yes" to the higher fee to "gather the pennies" -
-
yeah... I plan to add a utxo count and "gather utxos" button in freewallet in the future... just a matter if finding time
-
-
-
-
-
-
yeah... lots of utxos make for larger txs... and mempool fees are crazy now, so fees can get pretty crazy when using a bunch of utxos.
-
either way glad there are ideas in place and options to deal with it
-
maybe even a popup or a display for older "used" or "messy" addresses with "many pennies" and a recommendation if mempool fee's are low to conglomerate the utxo's -
idk just riffin now ——
i mean, XCP was my early entrance to btc sends, fee's etc, so it might help to even have not just "low medium and high" fee's but a visual showing of if the mempool is hot rn (like wat happened with ordinals recently)
- so the new user could understand with onchain data if the mempool is a little hot rn, and showing it usually goes down in time and has an "average"
- or just a more detailed view of the fee's for each "penny" or dust utxo output for each tx that might want to be done - show with like an "advanced fee" tab when starting a possible tx
where it lists out all the inputs with the small utxo's amounts pumping the fee's up
^ which could then point you to conglomerating your utxo's on this address if cheaper or needed
which almost no "newbie" user would know firsthand or know why you would need to do that because "all i see is my btc amount there- $40, why"
^basically its freewallet saying "your wallet is messay af with uxto's" its cheaper to clean it than literally to make this tx you want" -
-
by "kinda" i mean i wouldnt know how to code it ❤️
-

help some1
-
basically trying to find a way to tell the user "its not freewallet or the software that makes it hard to send because ur addy is "messy with pennies" or "expensive to send because fee's high" but to explain "this is how the btc blockchain is working rn (or these are all the inputs that make up ur $40 total) and freewallet can help you deal with it, (or just see it)" - whether it be a high tx fee because of mempool or because of utxos they might not know about
-
-
do you use counterwallet?
-
-
5/13 tempo
-
Is there any way to see total byte estimate for a txn before sending or be able to set custom sat/byte sat/vbyte fees?
-
They have the option for it on counterwallet but it does not work in any case I could find, was forced to do 103 max at the time.
-
Freewallet being able to input custom flat amount is cool nd better to compare against the flat market medians for fees, but custom sat/byte fee working would be lovely.
-
Unless too difficult to code/estimate byte size for txn prior to sending bc old xcp stuff?
-
Yes
-
try use freewallet sir

@jdogresorg feature request, although its small and not important, it would be great in the unconfirmed transactions on xchain.io, there was an option to see all items (minus sends) often when there is a large bulk send i find myself running through pages of sends just to find dispenses. I know small but it would be great to sort that data, it would be great to filter to just see dispenses

Is it possible for BTC to get lost in tx?
-
-
-
A fren notified me of over two weeks tx now.
-
-
Maybe but will it eventually get delivered or it's lost?
-
-
Okay ser
-
ok all is ok frens!! big ai helped me! token created and now submited my piece
-
has 2 weeks to get stuck in mempool if the fee isnt high enough
-
then I believe it reverts
-
Okay
-
He'd surely be looking forward to that
-
2 weeks in bitcoin terms is an eternity
-
Good it defines eternity with such scalable timeframe.
-
no as the btc only moves if tx is confirmed.
It can take a while to get a confirmation if a low fee is used during busy times
a dropped transaction can reappear in the mempool weeks after it was initially broadcast if the inputs remain unspent -
Alright ser. Thank you.
-
if you have the private key for the larger output you could use CPFP to increase the fee rate
-
-
-
yeah use electrum wallet with same seed key
-
-
What's the xchain message all about? I haven't been active recently

mempool congestion

Says site is under maintainer

You send BTC to an address and receive XCP I guess
-
Used to be
-
-
Something like ETH with some contracts
-
-
click on dispensers tab to see list of people selling XCP , its P2P :)
-
-
Sorry if this has been answered a bunch of times but this is the first time I’ve seen the warning on xchain to only use dispenser with a bc1 address. So I shouldn’t send to dispenser from FW mobile like I used to?
-
-
-
But my FW addy doesn’t start with bc1q either
-
Normal FW addresses are fine, then?
-
Check very well the pairs. I haven't and sensed DAI to buy in mexc they don't have anything but BTC with XCP

bc1p is taproot which not yet support. bc1q and 1xxx if fine
-
Haven't been able to send anything from my wallet for days and now that I have a large amount of BTC (more then 0.01122) its still saying I have insufficient funds?! Anyone know how to correct this??
-
use electrum wallet to send to taproot
-
I sent BTC to another wallet 4 or 5 days ago with too low of a fee so has never arrived yet. Up until two days ago I could see the pending transaction in freewallet but now it doesn't show. Is there anyway for me to see this pending tx now? I checked xchain and it doesn't show in unconfirmed either
-
plug your address into a btc explorer like mempool.space
-
that worked - should of thought of that
-
Am I just screwed here?
-
no expert but id guess that if its not a case of not enough btc in the wallet, then you might have a lot of utxos, which means you need to clear them by downloading another wallet like electrum and sending your full btc balance to yourself which should clear them.

Hey guys is there anyone that could help give this thread a nudge and some love? I know I’m not saying anything revelatory or new but any exposure for counterparty is doing good overall I suppose
-
I don’t know if my account is shadow banned or whether the content just doesn’t resonate with the market atm
-
Had the same issue. Wallet had 12 amounts of almost equal tiny bits of coin in there. Loaded the private key in electrum and send all btc to self. Now it is one amount. Don't worry about the miner fee warning, you get al btc back. I even got tiny bit more.

CIP28 - Broadcast Token Name System (BTNS)
Today I am proud to announce the ‘Broadcast Token Naming System (BTNS)’ spec, which enables various projects to play around with alternate token naming systems in a easy-to-use and scalable format. Similar to BRC-20 and SRC-20, tokens may be created, minted, and transferred via the DEPLOY, MINT, and TRANSFER actions. The difference here is that the BTNS is an OPEN system which only focuses on creating tokens in the simplest and scalable way, and ignores any additional unnecessary requirements (...

JDOG.xcp (@jdogresorg) on X
Today I am proud to announce the "Broadcast Token Name System (BTNS)". A new system for doing token issuances on Counterparty via broadcast messages. The first 3 tokens JDOG, TEST, and BRRR have been minted. https://t.co/PNRkIRh758 #Counterparty $XCP #BTNS #BRC20 #SRC20

damn
-
do you guys know how i can lock a token in the same tx as the one creating it?
-
currently no tools to do that... you'd have to manually craft the API request with the lock flag... i'll update freewallet in the future to support all the actions in first issuance... but haven't got around to adding the new flags yet
-
@jdogresorg
-
Amazing
-
DOH... I see that here too in the wallet... will try to put out an update tomorrow or tuesday
-
can you please create a github issue for this with screenshot?

thank you 🙂
-
Yeah sure will do
-
oh! thank you for answering ❤️
i guess the two websites that were offering minting of SRC20 were using a direct API request with lock flag approach then -
an example of a SRC20 with locking on token creation: tx hash 7d1a2cbcfe60e2948606d258f78efda5b032f573078d6e1f716f53c9571a662f
-
yes, it can be done, just not via the current wallets (freewallet / counterwallet)
-
i was trying to get some doc, but the documentation seems to be down
-
specifically this page seems down? (or empty weird)
https counterparty [dot] io docs/cli/ -
Technical Specification | Counterparty
Read API Function Reference

docs.counterparty.io is new doc site... counterparty.io site is way old and outdated and needs updating... hopefully soonish

Can we deployed token with maxmint at 1 and mint more on deployment, ex : bt:DEPLOY|PEPE|300|1|0||50
-
-
Getting offline... gotta focus on my family for a bit... been neglecting them all week... everything you need to know about how to deploy/mint/transfer is in the spec.. please review... i'll write an indexer on monday/tuesday so ppl can see what tokens are minted, what supply, etc

Helloo! Somebody here would know how to tell me how I should convert PNG and GIF to base64?
-
"dispensers tab"
-
PNG to Base64 Converter to convert PNG to Base64 String.
PNG to Base64 Converter converts PNG to base64 data. It's easy to use base64 encoder to encode PNG file.
-
Thank you very much
-
Are there different qualities in pixel art png to base 64 converters? or in principle all would do the same
-
this one is cool
- 15 May 2023 (141 messages)
-
in principle should all be the same because they arent applying compression, they are literally just converting the bits and bytes into base64.
-
and the fact that you can convert it back from base64 to bits and bytes that match the original proves this

-

-

-
why it is not available in other exchanges?
-
on cex you can buy on dex-trade
-
ok , thank you
-
any other dex platform ?
-
dex only on dispenser 👌. if centralized exchange only dex-trade and 1 Japanese exchange ( zaif)
-
im new to using the dispenser , i send btc to the adress and ill get back xcp back to the address i used to send , right?
-
Correct 👍
Also FYI you can buy any amount of XCP in a single tx (always check that the dispenser has enough available to fill your request) -
yes right. and double check dont use taproot adress.
-
thank you
-
where can i learn more about xcp?

-
-
i did a small transaction
-
thank you
-
Being cleared now, however it looks like there are 2 simultaneous pending dispenses
-
-
-
-
-
-
i tried for 5 xcp 😅
-
-
mans needs his 5 xcp
-
-
so is this like auction?
-
-
-
-
-
so if i did the transaction first will i get 5 xcp?
-
-
-
ah i used low fees
-
depends on tx fee
-
-
in any case it's a good idea to check who the dispenser owner is first, especially for high-value dispenses
-
basically a bad dispenser owner can use an extremely high fee to close it before it dispenses, so we keep track of the trusted xcp sellers atm to make sure we can get into contact if anything happens
-
im using hiro wallet , it is compatible right
-
you need move the privatkey to freewallet
-
-
-
-
ok downloading this
-
-
Well it looks like the 5 XCP dispense went just fine and confirmed first
So only 116 XCP are now remaining on the dispenser for the other purchase -
-
-
-
so i got my first xcp's 🙂
-
-
-
-
i'm hodling
-
i would like to purchase some more from verified dispenser

what's the bullish case for owning xcp token?
-
Deflationary asset, traded at 5X current value less than two years ago, hit 20X current value five years ago, who knows, could do it again :)
-
It’s mainly used for paying for named asset issuances on Counterparty and also used as a default trading pair for most assets sales on the protocol
-
what's the deflationary mechanic?
-
xcp is destroyed each time a new named asset or subasset is created
-
Super low market cap ($13 M as of today), backed by the BTC chain, live since 2014 but was mostly ignored by the mainstream until recently...
There's actually a good chance it blows up, if not immediately, at least in the next few months -
It was fairly issued based on proof of BTC burn in 2014.
There’s never going to be more.
0.5 XCP burned for every asset issuance and 0.25 XCP burnd for every sub-asset.
May or may not be a change to also charge 0.5 XCP for alpha numerical assets coming soon too.
That’s an anti spam mechanic. -
its 0.5xcp and 0.25 xcp burned
-
Sorry got my numbers wrong! Editing
Half whacked on synthetic opiods -
The lack of CEX listings makes it hard for many investors to acquire XCP though
-
I wish you well .. enjoy the floating effect in the mean time
-
It’s a pity that Zaif in Japan never opened up more to foreigners
-
I’m actually not really enjoying it at all quite disconcerting. I had bad dragon snake dreams earlier.
-
I didn’t even realise what they giving me at the hospital until I just looked it up a short time ago (Tramadol) I thought it was a kind of paracetamol LOL
-
ah noo .. I did a few months on tramadol once upon a time ... wouldn't want to go through that again .. sure the pain went but i felt strange
-
Yeah it’s real mindbender
-
I’m not taking any more now I know what it is, just looked it up 20 minutes ago as I’m spinning out.
-
-
Yes, thanks will do

General Note to all XCP sellers.
Please DO NOT send any XCP to https://dex-trade.com/ until they resolve their problem with uncleared XCP deposits.
@grassfedgoat and myself are both chasing unavailable deposits for more than two days now.
We have both made numerous attempts at getting any sensible response from Dex Trade and nothing sensible has been forthcoming.
Sending any XCP to DexTrade.com right now carries unknown risks. Please beware.
Note that XCP withdrawals also remain suspended.
Goat and I have now been banned from their community group for raising our concerns and asking questions about a time to resolution.
2023-05-16 @ 13:27 UTC UPDATE:
The XCP deposits in limbo have now been released after around 72 hours.
XCP trading, deposits and withdrawals appear to be functional on Dex-Trade again, with a new 1001 XCP sell wall at 16000 sats.LinkBuy Bitcoin and Crypto, trade over 500+ coins, stake, try demo trading, and get soaked in play2earn games. Welcome to the cryptocurrency exchange of the free

We will be putting out a new counterparty-lib 9.60.2 release later today, which will add a 0.25 XCP fee on numerics.... I will reach out to dex-trade.com through the backchannels and have them update... they typically run a bit slow, but expect that they should be updated and have deposits/withdraws working again within 48 hours of the release....if that is not the case, then I can start applying pressure to them... but right now, focus is on CP release.
-
sure, not wanting to distract you, but don't want anyone else to risk suffering losses either just now
-
that's why we have been trying to handle it ourselves, you aren't tech support lol and its not your job to take time to deal with them
-
the fact that they just banned both of us for trying to have a discussion in their channel is a little odd though
-
Yeah, they def take a very brute-force approach to customer support... some issues only get resolved BY elevating to me.... so, appreciate you guys doing your best to take support load off me... but, if this is a persistant issue, please elevate to me as needed n i'll do my best to help 🙂
-
-
🙂
-
I know you have big stuff on your plate right now, so not pressing, just when you can get to it after you resolve the current XCP dev A assets issues...
I have 280 XCP I sent in to sell to pay my medical bills and no meaningful response after two days of follow-up. -
