so... yeah.. cant just take 12-word from one wallet and assume it will work in another

Stamps also actually saves the art itself in utxos, most of counterparty asset (there are exceptions) saves just the url of the art or json with the info of the art -
counterparty platform has tokens... tokens can have different things associated with them.. one of those things is an image.. most ppl call an image on a token an NFT... Most NFTs just point to the image on a website... a STAMP is a process for encoding file data to a token on Counterparty.... Bitcoin Stamps is a project on Counterparty that "STAMPS" it's files to UTXOS (in memory of every bitcoin node) in a special way, so that those UTXOs can not be spent, thus ensuring the image data stays in memory of every bitcoin node.

I believe this solves spam better. A 0.25 XCP fee on initial issuance will kill some legitimate usage, like 1/1 collections.
