dunno... maybe just me, but seems that someone should have read the market a bit better and understood user demand and desires vs just coming back and deciding what they wanted to do with CP and trying to drive the market towards untested / unproven atomic swaps..... doesnt' seem like many ppl are interested in dealing with atomic swaps.... also just shifted the risk from the buyer (dispensers) not rushing payment fast enough to a dispenser... to the seller (atomic swap) users accidentally sending tokens to addresses unintentionally by using a non-cp wallet.... and lost the on-boarding process of ppl being able to buy stuff directly from a dispenser using any BTC wallet and getting introduced to CP that way

Time will tell the full story... but, from where I sit, still waiting on this increase in user activity and liquidity which was promised with all these "new features" 🤷️️️️️️

can i use the seed/private keys generated on these wallets for other wallets like electrum/unisat etc.?

im reading horizon is a BIP 84 wallet that uses BIP 39 seeds. This type of seed can be imported into most btc wallets am i correct?

the passphrase probably wont work in other wallets as the derivation path is different... you can use the 12-word passphrase in freewallet in any other counterparty-compatible wallet... as far as private keys, a private key links directly to a specific address, so you should be able to import a private key into almost any wallet

it depends on the derivation path... if Horizon uses the standardized derivation path, then the answer is yes... if they use a different address derivation path, then the answer is no... best to ask the Horizon guys what they use for derivation path... the same as other wallets or a custom one

Ive been using these since 2020, however when on pepe dot wtf the marketplace leads to horizon now instead of xchain. I want to hold some btc longterm on the wallet, not sure if horizon wallet is the best option for that
