You have been told a bunch of times that no one is going to do OTC with you, and to stop spamming here. You have also been told that if you were serious about selling, you could simply list your tokens for sale on the DEX.... your "My country doesn't allow crypto trading" line is worn out.... IMO your a spammer who should be removed

Do you guys find it weird that the co-founder of counterparty is also the co-founder of one of the biggest private blockchains that there is
-
Wierd? not really. Seems like a natural progression. No way that the volume of transactions needed within financial institutions which symbiont does business with can all be on the public bitcoin blockchain. Counterparty was testing what could be done on public blockchain, and lessons were learned, the primary one probably being that private blockchains offer signifcant advantages when you don't need all your data publicly available. Just look at how CP was treated by the core devs when they started up... 80-byte OP_RETURNs then chopped to 40-bytes in an attempt to neuter CP functionality. Easier for Adam to focus on building enterprise solutions on a private blockchain than try to do everything publicly on a blockchain where the devs are openly hostile towards the platform.
-
It is disaapointing that the co-founders left CP to work on Symbiont, and there was hope at one time that there would be some usage of CP in their products, but I can understand tthe devs not being able to continue work on any project which might be considered a competitor by some.... non-compete agreements n all 😛
-
Great answer thanks J-Dog
-
Don't suppose you know any other private chains that have managed to chain such traction in the ST space?
-
Struggling to find many
-
Apart from Koreconx and Rivver (whom I can't get any info out of)
-
I must confess, I don't follow many private blockchain companies/projects... so I am not currently aware of any other companies that have the same traction as Symbiont.

anyone having issues with Bittrx deposits?

Withdrawal worked ok.
-
Anyone seen or played around with the Raizer dex interface for counterparty. Looks pretty cool
-
Don't see it mentioned in this chat yet
-
The UI looks nice... tho their raizer.btc token is sketchy.... someone tried something similar in the early days of CP via XBTC.... worked fine until they discovered that they were effectively a money exchanger/transmitter who was not licensed to operate in any states.... pretty quickly closed up shop after it became clear how much money/energy would be required to go legit/legal.
-
Raizer Corp appears to be setup in Belize City... so who knows... they could operate for a while without getting in any legal trouble.
-
Nice to see more interfaces being built on the DEX tho regardless 🙂
-
Yeah, seems less sketchy than tether (in the sense there's no fiat conversions) it's essentially wrapping/unwrapping BTC into a tokenized form like eth/weth on the DEXes
-
Even aside from that component the UI on the XCP (or subtoken) side is pretty nice. Surprised there's not a single mention of it here.
-
Yeah... doesn't look like they have done any real promo... no mention of it on counterpartytalk.org or reddit either

-
yeah. im coming around to full integration with what is at hand. While I enjoyed the potential of emoji domains that brought me to the namespace, ultimately my collection has been reduced to barebones on NMC. as far as development, of any kind, especially sociologically i have determined XCP to be my home.
poem/ namespace project will be moved before the publication of collected works. There has been something since last poetry month that was stopping me from proceeding, and I now see what it has been. gameplan incoming -

Hi Mia, do you happened to know where I can find a telegram group for the best pumps? Looking to get me an average of 200-300% sick gainz?
-
Mia I'm only getting like 50% on my pumps
-
I need more grains
-
Ditto. Mia, please advise ASAP
-
-
did anyone tried " raizer (dot) cc"? is it reliable or a scam?
-
Even if it is reliable, I still do not feel comfortable to put (login) with my wallet seed in their dex interface
-
I might just be too paranoid
-
😜
-
Mentioned it earlier, not much known about it yet, Nice to have another interface though.
It has Low volume and no feedback, no audit- Belize incorporation (not necessarily a red flag but yano) would certainly advise if you're going to use, to use a fresh seed and play with small amounts. Trying to find more info. -
Yeah, totally agree!
-
" Lottery mechanism of Raizer Decentralized Exchange operates via RAIZER token, which is issued on CounterParty.
After detokenizer, the system will use random algorithm to find RAIZER holders who will win the whole amount of prize. The more RAIZER you possess, the greater chance you'll have of winning the prize. " -
this sounds sketchy (but I might be wrong)
-
but that mechanism simmilar to the WETH (wrapped ETH) approach seems interesting
-
Actually just found a BTT thread and telegram/discord group for their platform. Reading through now.
-
Seems they're in the process of an ICO: Quick skim through the whitepaper and thread, Definitely a _lot_ of sockpuppets/sig campaign bots in the ANN thread faking conversation, maybe 80%. Although this is par for the course on BTT. Some other red flags, would assume sketch until proven otherwise.
-
It's a ridiculous strategy to expect people to enter their seed phrase to use the exchange. Would you send them your private keys? This is the same thing. Anybody - what am I missing??
-
yeah, it's totally ridiculous
-
All the web XCP wallets work the same way so counterwallet, rpw, mafiawars, bookoforbs, etc. are also ridiculous?
-
Those are wallets, this is an exchange.
-
-
-
Yeah DEX is built into the protocol.
-
Maybe market this as another web wallet. Nothing wrong with using it I guess, provided you make a fresh HD wallet - to your point it's the same trust model we use now just with an unknown provider.

check this out, in an article about some screw up with a monero wallet bug on Ledger Nano S, CNN decides to choose the Counterparty burn address as example of how you can send bitcoin to a burn addy https://www.ccn.com/redditor-claims-to-lose-83000-in-monero-due-to-ledger-wallet-bugRedditor Claims to Lose $83,000 in Monero Due to Ledger Wallet Bug
A warning has been posted to the Monero subreddit regarding Monero version 0.14 and Ledger 1.1.3. The bug appears to incorrectly process change transactions. One user appears to claim they’ve lost 1600 Monero, worth nearly $83,000

Prolly just searched for the burn address with the most btc burned in it.... I’m not aware of any other projects/address that has burned so much btc

Good catch on the article tho😀👍🏻

Happy to announce the release of version 0.1.9 of FreeWallet Mobile wallet for iOS and Android devices, as well as a browser version. This version fixes a number of issues and greatly improves the stability of the wallet! #Counterparty #XCP #XChain https://t.co/5tNiKsKyZF

Xcp is transitioning into a stable coin so will slowly drop to $1 then hold that.
-
does these version includes the btcpay module already 😅 ?
-
@jdogresorg 👆
-
Nope. The DEX Interface and BTCpay functionality are only supported in the Desktop version currently.
-
Will eventually add a DEX interface into the mobile wallet... but probably will focus on the desktop wallet and getting all the features built into that before I revisit the mobile version..... only did an update now cuz ppl were reporting the mobile version stopped working entirely.
-
Segwit support... then betting interface.. then will revisit the mobile app and add all the features 🙂

lots of worrk indeed J better to focuse on one thing at the time

@brian_armstrong Why not list @CounterpartyXCP? It's a token layer on top of #Bitcoin that has been functioning since 2014! @coinbase started as a bitcoin company after all, it seems strange to be listing all these shitcoins yet ignore the most trustable token, one backed by bitcoin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Counterparty volume is fake! :P
"Exchanges may have an incentive to report fake volume. Bad actors may look to attract listings for new initial coin offerings, or ICOs, who want their cryptocurrency on an exchange where more trading goes on, Bitwise said. Those fees can run from $1 million to $3 million per listing, according to data from Autonomous Next."

Awesome!! XCP so undervalued. It’s nuts
-
It will have its day again, just gotta keep the lights on and keep making incremental improvments 🙂
-
Yea and leveraging open source coming out all over the place which can be embedded into counterparty. It’s a lot about our community/ network :)
-
Yup, many coins have falled greatly, some have started little signs of life again
XCP, whilst [barely] starting to recover a little from the lowest depths is still down 98% from the local high
(a point it's reached every year since launch.. not even the ATH!!)
the embodiment of oversold.
I mean take a look at RVN (bitcoin fork with counterparty-like features embedded within, launched 4 years later
with more limited functionality) it's increased in mkt cap $170M within the past month- despite that it's only 15% distributed.
That puts it's implied fully diluted mkt cap right now at 1.3 Billion. Meanwhile XCPs total _fully diluted_ market cap is... in the 5M range! just think about that
for a second.
Is that sane? Obviously not. The ludicrous discrepancy in valuations has nothing to do with technology or fundamentals and everything to do with exposure and crypto-economic design
(e.g having rent-seeking miners be able to [pointlessly] print money with their GPUS in the guise of securing the network
sets a moving price floor and ensures there is a group that's interested in promoting price upwards via various means- e.g miners hold 1M and spend 500k to
increase the price of value holdings 60%, they win-- having major liquid exchanges on-side enables this kind of movement )
XCP has all of the features RVN has, and includes many more features
RVN lacks- it also operates with stronger security assumptions, has been battle-tested for 5 years, and comes complete with an actual quantifiable p2p asset economy. -
Ultimately Counterparty-- despite it's middle-finger to mining farms, woeful lack of justin Sun like hype merchants and it's absolute stonewalling from the dominant liquidity providers--
led the charge on many of the crypto-spaces most hyped paradigms with the first decentralized exchange (long before it was a buzzword)
and the first real usable blockchain based token issuance/trade system. it's in stealth mode in the background as a community driven OSS project that just works. One
of the purest projects out there.
IMO the slow but steady building interest towards crypto-financial services like decentralized exchanges/STO means more eyes are going to be on platforms
that are innovating/facilitating on those fronts, like counterparty has done for the past half-decade.
We've seen ETH/ERC20 ICO hype cycle play out, and we've seen a certain tarnish and distancing to those approaches.
the ICO crap is over thankfully, now there's room for the future untapped possibility in STO markets (particularly BTC based/BTC centric platforms)
The potential breadth of such markets is huge, eclipsing the ICO space
even with one dominant stack I suspect there could be overspill into competing standards.
and aside from Omni, Counterparty is THE longest running system and
really the _only_ viable issuance/trade platform natively built on the most dominant & liquid ecoystem-- BTC.
Like RVN and unlike ETH It eschews the risk and complexity of turing-complete contracts and associated
audit costs. Uniquely it negates the need for third party services like on-offramps for crypto-crypto swaps since that's baked into the protocol. This is a killer
feature which counterpartys competitors lack, I think it most definately has great future potential whenever the space as a whole wakes up again and gets some energy -
-
-
Hodl and you’ll feel like a genius in a year or two
-
+1
-
So, you think there will actually be a Counterparty killer app that causes XCP to significantly increase in price again, have strong volume, and all of that?
-
I think, if we're referring purely to a price perspective the main issue counterparty has is not a lack of a killer app (RVN increased $170M in the past month) and it does not have a single app, only spam assets, no exchange) it's simply discoverability and liquidity. That's it.
-
marketing helps for sure.
-
IMO In terms of actual utility, counterparty has it in spades
there are a great many other platforms that exist that have no real utility for end users, beyond a speculative asset held on exchange.
People right now are actually using counterparty- to trade in a p2p fashion without middlemen, to create and trade digital artwork, to game, trade stock options and so on. It's marketing it lacks. -
-

Then post an order on the DEX, or sell it on an exchange. We do not do OTC xcp trades here as 99.9% of the times it is a scam.

Sure. If you have an interest in selling, you can do so on an exchange easily

Well, you can't able to sell here. Sorry, use an exchange or find somewhere else.
