Hi everyone, im trying to build some stuff on counterparty but i can't figure out how to deploy bytecode on counterparty. Any ideas on how i can do this?
-

Just curious how freewallet handles multisend. In the UI, I chose a low fee rate of about 62 cents (0.00001000 btc), and the multisend had 16 assets. According to mempool.space, I actually spend around $8, so is the fee you pick in the freewallet UI multipled by the number of assets in the multisend and, if so, is that necessary or should I be dropping my fee accordingly? Here is the transaction: https://mempool.space/tx/78bd99db236110678cd45e979dad2585e65dd48537214c246b6e19a1bf1c6d62Link

I’ve had the same issue and could never figure out a way to make it cheaper. Jdog told me to adjust the default fee in the settings, but it was already set to the lowest. I’ve been holding out for the next update to try again.
-
Mpma is 2 txs…. First tx sets up stuff for the larger second tx…. First tx takes its fee from the minimum tx fee specified in freewallet settings screen….. second larger tx takes its fee from the mpma send screen…. I got with minimum of 1000 sats on first tx and then 5000 or so sats on second tx….
-
Fyi I’ll be working on and update to co in the next few weeks to make mpma sends much more reliable and allow up to 1000 sends per mpma send
-
Also will be working on getting better fee estimates in freewallet in the coming months (ability to specify sats per byte instead of flat fee for tx

no CIP exists for that feature.... first step of a CIP is to post the idea on the forums and let the community discuss to see if this is a feature they are intersted in adding... then you can write up a CIP after the community discusses 🙂

Sounds good! Thanks for the process info 👍

Hi everyone, nice to meet everyone here

@jdogresorg if you update the 48x48 png for an asset through Coindaddy, will xchain eventually crawl the new image or does xchain always hang-on to the original 48x48 png forever?
-
Should auto-update the icon every 24 hours

If you find that is not the case, lmk

I don’t see my message for some reason. Just wanted to let freewallet users know that you can now import p2wpkh private keys (segwit) to the wallet. Hopefully the PR gets reviewed and merged in soon
-
It’s a small change so shouldn’t take too long to review
-
Is it possible to create multi sig asset ownership ?
-
I don’t think so

thanks... will do some testing of this PR and merge it if all looks good and will get it in the next release 🙂

Error message?
-
-
Is it stuck on the "Signing Counterparty Transaction" screen?
-
-
I have someone else that has the same issue this morning.
-
What I have done in the past for this is verify no unconfirmed transaction for the dispenser address from me. Then click cancel, close FW and come back and try again.
I have not heard back from the other person this morning to see if that worked for them today. -
I use mempool.space for checking for unconfirmed. blockstream.info works as well.
-
-
I have stopped setting up segwit dispensers since they are not supported in FW mobile.

I’ll get time to work on this next month after I put out some fixes for some issues in counterparty

awesome, love you

This happened to me when i first created a wallet. And then logged out without quitting the app and restored another wallet (with another seed).
The app showed new and old addresses but it only generated private keys from the second wallet so it was impossible to spend from the address of the first wallet and thus spending got stuck on the same message as you.
I fixed it by quitting the app, removing app data and loading the wallet from the seed again. -
Cool thanks
-
Yes, this is a known issue and I’m going to fix in the next release…. Will make sure addresses are removed when switching passphrases…. Maybe exit app entirely on wallet reset to make sure users are starting fresh

Hello everyone
-
Hi guys, hope all is well, for some reason i was booted or left with my old account and have to use a secondary to get in
-
Hey guys, i'm having an issue in sending transactions using FreeWallet on my new laptop:
Transaction gets stuck on "Generating counterparty transaction..."
Anyone has an idea? -
i just had this, and it was because i had the address i was using as watch only
-
until i deleted the address, and imported using privkey
-
Weird because I don't have any watch addresses, I just installed the wallet
-
its possible that the server is down you are connected to, is ur internet all good right now?
-
or counterparty servers i mean
-
i just submitted some tx a while ago and worked ok
-
internet is fine but yeah there could be something blocking it, i'm using campus wifi
-
i'll try connecting to my phone's 4g
-
Usually restarting the app solves it
-
its a good question, if ur internet is working, then it should submit alright, or restart wallet
-
If you can’t, just use your phone😂
-
ah new user cant post my image.
i am trying to create a dispenser,
escrow : amount i want to setup
give amount : can i use max amount, so ie does that mean it only dispenses that much at 1 time, or will it sell say 1xcp at a time? or do i have to press 1xcp for give amount.
so if i put 50 escrow, then if its 1xcp it can sell any amount up to 50, but in 1 xcp increment.
but if i put 50xcp give amount it will only send 50 xcp in any tx where ppl pay the btc ? -
is Duncan here? ie the artist that was on the foundation 2020 or so
-
nothing worked, tried restarting the app, tried different internet connections
-
I tried sending from https://rarepepewallet.com/ and it works
-
But I need to set dispensers on freewallet so xD
-
cool, i just got some of my old xcp, so been buying a few cards
-
trying to find some of the rarer/cheaper ones
-
stuff under 50xcp so can have a few cards, but nice stuff always 300-800 still
-
ppl been shilling on twitter last while, and seems that others bought up during sept. with btc being a bish seems we can stay under radar a bit
-
any cool must haves you guys can shill thats on dispensers now ?
-
Hi all. I need some help
-
The address with xcp in my wallet gone. When I create watch only address, it mention this address already in your wallet
-
How can I retrieve it?
-
top right, Address, Change Address, and select from list ?
-
The web counterpart wallet don’t have this change address?
-
Weird I did nothing but it auto disappear
-
use freewallet-desktop from freewallet.io
-
same 12-word passphrase from countrewallet will work to access all the same addresses
-
Weird. No address found
-
It actually worked when I connected to 4G instead of the campus Wifi

Hi Guys. NEED HELP
Tried to open a FreeWallet and import my rarepepewallet using my passphrase. Entering the passphrase there generated a whole new set of addresses but my original rarepepewallet is not there. Looked though the list and it’s not there. Double checked the passphrase and everything was correct. I went back to rarepepewallet and tried to see which addresses are there and all the other ones from the FreeWallet are here but the original one is gone
Now I can’t access my original wallet and address and all assets anywhere -
I did renter the correct passphrase because all the other addresses that do show I’m freewallet show as well in rarepepewallet but the original main address is gone
-
👍
-
Anyone has an idea ?
-
-
Lolol
-
-
-
-
I tried. I added already like 400 adresses
-
I know that there are thousands associated with each seed. Should I just keep going?
-
Is there a way to check what addresses are associated with my phrase on the chain, without giving Vlad my seed phrase ?
-
To make sure it’s all still properly associated
-
Are there any counter party tech guys here ?
-
-
Do not give your seed phrase to anyone you don't trust. You should be patient for a reply. This is not an instant help desk. But someone may help.
-
I was kidding regarding giving my seed phrase
-
Does anyone know if the rarepepes sold on Sotheby's were all vaulted?
-
yes there are
-
so, you have a couple options, you can use Ian colemans tool bip32/44 or whatever it is, where a seed phrase will generate all known addreses, you can get the address and priv key then import using freewallet
-
i just had to do that lol
-
but, if the other addresses are there, and number 1 is not, i did have something happen on the webpite counterparty wallet before similar, but i just created wallet and the other wallet showed up (i think, that was 5 years ago or wahtever)
-
anyone?
-
I created another wallet using same phrase but original address missing there too
-
Do you have a tutorial for the process?
-
Thanks so much for trying to help
-
how can i figure out the tx size to set the fee correctly? i was using a bitcoin fees site but isnt 0.000001 too small? thats a few cents, i noticed on another site its around 2$ or so now for a confirm in a few blocks
-
google ian coleman BIP recovery tool, and go to the github and read the instructions, you can download the app/webpage, but be offline, and play with it a bit, in a incognito window etc, restart pc after,
unless you are running like virtual environemnt etc... anyway, its all pretty straight forward. The issue might be, are you sure thats the right seed phrase?? -
For sure it’s the right see phrase. All the addresses that came up in the new wallets, are showing in the original rarepepewallet now as well without me changing anything on the rarepepeawallet so the phrase match for sure
-
Unless an address can just disappear from a group associated with a passphrase and become detached
-
There are many sites coming up with that search. Any advise on what the most reliable site is ? After last nights fiasco I’m hesitant to mess things up even more doing something wrong
-
there are many fake versions of those btw careful
-
That’s why I’m asking
-
Also, is it a computer based search or online ? Because I did everything on my cell phone so I wonder if it matters
-
tbh I dont know much about what real one looked like atm and also derivation path for same mnemonic matters, xcp uses some odd one that's like a bunch of 0's, many different paths to derive addresses from same mnemonic with different standards
-
Are we talking about bip39?
-
whichever talks about derivation paths
-
we use custom derivation path
m/0'/0/0
m/0'/0/1
m/0'/0/2
m/0'/0/3
... etc
last number is address index -
Not sure what this means
-
just means ideally you'd use wallet that knows where to look even if mnemonic words are same
-
I’m trying to figure out which instructions I need to look for on GitHub
-
there's like infinite addresses you can generate in freewallet from same mnemonic, just have to keep adding addresses
-
it just increases last number in derivation path (which results in different key/address for same wallet)
-
maybe you added multiple of those before but now just seeing first 10
-
so just keep adding until you get to that index
-
It’s honestly a little too complex for me. Is this tool intended to identify all addresses associated with a seed phrase?
-
Scarce.City is celebrating CP's TEST bday next week with a collection of CP auctions
Many dank & rare lots lined up from OG projects to new artist releases
We're just missing 1 very important asset: TEST
Let me know if you have an extra you're willing to auction 🤙 -
impossible
-
can keep increasing address index/path forever
-
just use freewallet and add addresses
-
with + button or something, forget
-
-
same mnemonic when pressing those buttons will always keep generating same addresses at same index/path
-
I’m doing it for a while. Generated already 600 new addresses. None of which is the original one
-
What’s impossible ?
-
same type of address?
-
starts with 1 is normal, and bc1 is segwit
-
Starts with 1
-
The original address started with 13
-
btw freewallet is a bit weird, if you sign out and then sign in with different mnemonic it keeps around old address and just puts new ones in the list as well
-
made me confused occasionally (might be mistaken)
-
Should I do the same process on counterwallet?
-
wherever you made that address yeah
-
Typically when something like that happens, how many address do you need to add until the original appears
-
and try to think that maybe you had more than 1 mnemonic
-
yes, it does this
-
i don't know what original means, if its first 1 it should be there
-
I started with rarepepewallet. But there it doesn’t let me add adresses
-
never used that one sry
-
It was the initial one that rarepepewallet displayed when I started my wallet
-
Is the Ian Coleman tool intended to find addresses attached to one seed phrase and find the secret key to import?
-
Because it seems that this is what I need to do the find that address
-
nah, it just has a couple of typical derivation paths you can check
-
bluewallet also scans a bunch of standard derivation paths for btc, but i doubt any of them will have m/0'/0/0
-
it's just math performed on those mnemonic words, so it always comes out the same, so its odd it didn't
-
i'd look for similar looking words perhaps, i've had surprising many similar ones pass checksum
-
-
Wrote them down when I was about the open the freewallet. Not from the get go
-
had you at any point closed the browser window then re-opened it before this?
the reason I ask is because the seed words it gives you each session are unrelated as far as I know, so the seed words from one browser session will not be the "same" as the next session -
So the passphrase changes each session ? Doesn’t it contradict the direct relationship between passphrases and wallets ?
-
Wouldn’t that mean that a new wallet would show up as well?
-
only if you generate new one each time. wallet in browser would have to store keys used somewhere which most of them do not as its not really safe
-
although some might so try using same browser you made it with
-
i'm unfamiliar if it stores anything
-
just a min
-
yes
-
ok cant post the link, anyway, on github its iancoleman/bip39
-
i thnk*
-
you gota do your own due diligence etc, but i used it to find an address i needed
-
if you are worried, turn off your internet, run in VM etc
-
then restart ur pc to reset power etc
-
If the wallet wasn’t opened on a computer, would his method work still offline?
-
Would you be able to assist me with this method? I’m really a beginner when it comes to code
-
its not code, i just trust the page which i cant post, as links cant be posted, or at least not from my account which just joined. check github for the ian coleman tool, the real one, or check trezzor or ledger sites for the link to the same app/github page. there are others who made similar, anyway.
the offline computer, when using a seed phrase, just gives you the address and associated privkey, cause i assume u just want to import into freewallet to use, so copy it / save / encrypt, or write it down, and then import into freewallet -
top right, change address, then "import private key" and put that there.
about the ian coleman tool/page. After you put ur seed phrase in you choose the BIP protocol for a certain derivation path (never mind what it means, its just the way the wallet is made for all the addresses) i assume for you its the lower one, BIP 32/39 or wahtever, not BIP44... but i dunno you gota read about it -
Does it pose a problem that I’ve never used the original wallet where the assets were deposited into on a desktop but just on my phone? Would the Ian Coleman tool be able to find anything offline on computer that never displayed the original wallet
-
I mean technically they are supposed to be the same sharing the same passphrase but an offline tool would be based on tracking the data that was processed on it , no?
-
no problem,
you can use any pc thats not on the internet yup and never had the original wallet -
i dunno what ur saying im going to sleep, wallet seed phrase rebuilds all wallet info without internet
-
when u connect to internet nodes you get all info that what the wallet did in the past, has no relation to seed phrase etc in general
- 07 January 2022 (98 messages)
-
Thanks. I downloaded the offline version and started entering my seed phrase but starting with the first word, the page auto corrected me and said the word is not in the word list. Eventually it said the root is invalid. Nt sure what to do
-
Does anyone else have experience with Ian Coleman tool?
-
ive used it
-
It’s not on the list because counterparty uses a different word list than bip39 I assume. You may have to get the root key from the seed phrase and use that in the tool instead. There are no available tools to do that afaik, so you will likely have to play with bitcoinjs-lib or something similar to get that info.
-
Let me check my seed with the tool
-
There are some switches that you can use and should be able to enter any seed phrase
-
Thank you so much Mario. Any assistance with how to get root Key will be appreciate. So rarepepewallet uses counterparty code?
-
I don’t know about rarepepewallet, I use freewallet. Not even sure if you can use seed phrase from the one in another
-
Was the address you are trying to find a segwit address or p2pkh (starts with 1)?
-
Starts with 1
-
From my understanding from others in the rare Pepe group, the seeds can be used in both.
-
Just a matter of converting counterparty seed to a equivalent code I can use in the Ian coleman tool
-
-
-
Alright im gonna hit the gym first and will then make a script that will generate all addresses and private keys from a seed phrase. I will have to use bitcore-lib directly because coleman’s tool doesn’t work well with counterparty seeds for whatever reason
-
I’m not able to get the right addresses from the seed using freewallet’a derivation path
-
Mario, you have no idea how much I appreciate your help brother! 🙏🏼
-
Thank you
-
Are you planning to basically make a Coleman tool for counterparty seeds ??
-
You’re welcome I know how frustrating these things are. I had to tinker with freewallet’s already to deal with some stuff
-
Yes
-
Wow! incredible man! You’re a true asset to this community
-
It is. I just hope that my original wallet address is actually tied to that phrase and that there wasn’t a glitch that twisted the phrases
-
all addresses are generated in order.... address #1 associated with a passphrase will always be the first address generated
-
freewallet is not really meant for switching between passphrases... it is meant for you to use ONE 12-word passphrase
-
my suggestion is to always write down your 12-word passphrases.... as long as you have them, you should be able to access all the addresses generated from that passphrase
-
also... if you do switch passphrases.... logout of freewallet, close the wallet entirely, then reopen freewallet and import the new 12-word passphrase... this should ensure that your wallet is started entirely fresh and the only addresses that exist in your wallet are ones associted with your current passphrase
-
there can be no glitch in freewallet with address generation.... only way addresse are generated into freewallet is based off a 12-word passphrase... so as long as you have done as instructed and written down your 12-word passphrase, you should always be able to access addresses associated with that 12-word passphrase
-
yes, RPW uses counterwallet passphrase generation... same as freewallet.. and the passphrases are portable between wallets
-
Thanks for the detailed response and info. What could be the reason that after copying my rpw passphrase and entering it in freewallet , it showed me different addresses. And not only that, but that going back to RPW , the addresses showed the ones freewallet was displaying and the #1 disappeared ?
I read somewhere that sometimes addresses within the same group can get mixed up. -
perhaps you entered the wrong 12-word passphrase.... the same 12-word passphrase should access the same exact wallet addresses... the fact that your saying your having issues in freewallet AND RPW with wallet addresses not appearing leads me to believe that perhaps your not entering your original RPW wallet passphrase.... perhaps a word is mis-spelled or slightly out of order
-
can't really sya other than to say that the same 12-word passphrase accesses the same exact addresses.... there is no random addresses generated in the wallets which will get lost, all addresses are generated in order... so, if your not seeing the exact same addresses, perhaps your not using the same 12-word passphrase
-
make sure you close freewallet entirely after logging out/resetting.... so that your opening the wallet entirely fresh
-
also, you can try using counterwallet.io.... same 12-word passphrases from RPW and freewallet work in counterwallet.io
-
I’m 100% sure I entered the correct password. Initially I thought too I made a mistake but what led me to see that they are identical and correct , is when I returned to RPW after starting the freewallet, the same addresses I saw in freewallet appeared there as well so must be on the same phrase.
-
I never changed pass phrases on RPW so the wallets should have been different from freewallet
-
If I would have made a mistake
-
I did. All three wallets match addresses. With the original #1 with assets gone from all of them
-
I had a few people telling me that it happened to them as well in the past
-
Some of them were able to solve it by adding new addresses until their showed up
-
the "original #1" could be related to some other 12-word passphrase..... which is why it is not appearing in any of your wallets now... we have had a few cases where people generated a wallet, then decided not to use that wallet, then generated a new wallet... and the address from the original passphrase was still listed in freewallet.... users then used that address from the original passphrase, and then when resetting the wallet the address disappeared (cuz it was associated with the ORIGINAL 12-word passphrase and not the new one they wrote down
-
this is why when switching wallet passphrases, you should logout and close the wallet entirely... to make sure none of the old addresses in the wallet that is being reset persist.... that would be my best guess... if an address was in your wallet, and your sure that your using the same 12-word passphrase (and the same addressees are showing up in all wallets), then the only explaination is that either 1.) the missing #1/main address is associated with a different 12-word passphrase... or 2.) that you imported a private key for an address
-
wish I could help more... but thats all I got for ya 🙂
-
What do you mean by “when switching wallet passphrases” ?
-
using differrent 12-word passphrases
-
I started a rpw then went to move everything to freewallet. This was the first time I’ve ever used freewallet so this was the first time a passphrase was err entered there. Do you mean that the original passphrase that was generated when I started rpw was different than the one it showed me right before I opened freewallet?
-
then if you entered the 12-word passphrase from RPW and no others, your missing address #1 should never have been in the wallet
-
only way addresses get into wallet is via entering 12-word passphrase.. and they are generated in order
-
This is what I did. I downloaded freewallet. Went back to RPW , wrote down the passphrase , went to freewallet and entered the passphrase that RPW gave me. Was any of this wrong? I might be too old for this stuff 😞
-
If I entered just the rpw passphrase, all my rpw assets should have shown up there , no?
-
yes
-
The thing is that the two wallets are synchronized now. With that specific address not showing on both. (And I never changed passphrases on rpw)
-
Yeah this happened to me too. Almost got a heart attack when I wasn’t able to spend from that address. Luckily I kept both seeds
-
Is there maybe a glitch that can change the order of addresses?
-
It shouldn’t.
-
yes... and I continue to repeat that the only way that addresses get into the wallet is via a 12-word passphrase... and they are generated in order... so if you have an address which WAS in your wallet which IS NOT now, then it must have been associtaed with a different 12-word passphrase
-
why does it even keep old addresses in wallet when you sign out and sign in with different mnemonic? it's just bit confusing
-
no, they are all generated in order... address #1 will always be address #1
-
But it may for whatever reason not show you the 0-th address and starts with the 1st one instead. That shouldn’t happen tho
-
I read on a few counterparty forums that it happened to people and they were able to find the address eventually by reading through the addresses in source until finding it with the private key, using phyton I believe
-
So you mean that after opening a wallet and using it with the same adresses continuously, after a certain period of time, the phrase can change although the wallet is still the original one opened ?
-
Don’t worry if you are 100% sure you have the right 12 words, you should be able to find the address and its private key with my script. I’ll make it so that you can generate hundreds of addresses easily and search through the list. I’ll be on it in a few hours when I get home.
-
🙏🏼
-
Mario Is that a possibility from your experience with this? That a passphrase could change on an open wallet that has never been reset?
-
No, passphrase shouldn’t change. It’s just a word representation of a very long number that gets created at the creation of the wallet and only then
-
So hopefully we find it then. I never logged out of that wallet and am a 100% certain I entered the correct phrase
-
In that case there may be a bug where the wallet has generated a different (possibly a very high) index for the derivation path instead of the 1st one (index 0). Hard to say.
-
Never heard of this happening…. And the wallet address # used is the derivation index+1….. index 0 = address 1, etc
-
Addresses are only generated in order
-
Is it a possibility then that a passphrase can change on a wallet that was never reset or changed from its inception at any given time?
-
J-Dog?
-
No
-
So there’s hope 🙏🏼
-
I made the script but I can’t share links here
-
I’m having same issue. Generated 100 address and still not there😅
-
You can find it on github (dot) com / mariodian / counterparty-addresses
-
If there’s enough community demand I’ll turn it into a proper tool with a nice design and more features. This is just a bare minimum to generate list of addresses and its private keys based on the passphrase
-
I tested it against freewallet but should give the same results with other wallets too
-
Sorry the repo was private, it’s public now should be visible for everyone
-
Thanks mate. The address reappear in no1
-
cool! glad it worked for you
-
Mario, thanks so much brother. Which one of the files do i have to download? Forgive my amateur level
-
Mario I have to download index.html. Where do I enter the code on my computer ? Do I enter my passphrase everywhere it says “passphrase”?
-
Sincere communication stems from a good introduction, I am very happy to meet you in a busy crowd
-
hello counterparty fam. ive started another nft group like the old days and everyone is welcome. https://twitter.com/__mryuk__/status/1479436460403138566?s=20mr. yuk
i have started a new group on telegram. everyone is welcome: t.me/h2j34g5jhg23k4…
-
It shows 12 addresses. None are the original no1
-
Is it possible to have it show more than 12?
-
I tried with 20,000 addresses but can’t find my address. At this point I don’t know what the hell happened. It must be a glitch with RPW because this is where I originally opened the wallet and the address is gone there as well.
-
@jdogresorg
-
Hello everyone
-
Should be fixed now
-
Can one IndieSquare passphrase into cold wallet? ( or what’s the derivation path it uses) I assume you won’t be able to send xcp or Pepe’s with it though, correct ?
-
is there a way to see historical statistics of counterparty usage?
-
currently no... counterwallet has a "network stats" interface, but it only goes back about a year
-
-
there was a really good site with a breakdown of XCP stats that @droplister wrote a few years ago, but that site has since gone down... perhaps he can be convinced to bring it back up again at some point in the coming months.... I do plan to write a new block explorer at some point this year (already got a good portion of it written) and would like to include stats/breakdown of txs on it... but, got a bunch of other work in the queue before I get to that
-
thank you!

Hello everyone. I created a nft raffle kind of game. If you have time and are interested in a chance to win a nice painting and 10% of the proceeds have a look here:
https://twitter.com/ciprianhodl/status/1479783883143004163UNVAXXED ORANGUTAN ⚔️Let’s play a game. Do you have 100k sats to gamble for a chance to win an amazing painting + 10% of the proceeds from my NFT raffle? The rules can be found below. The painting and dispenser information can be found here. You must use Freewallet or a similar XCP wallet RT & ❤️

Post a proper link, I'm lazy

Gets auto deleted 🥲

Yeap, just tried again 😅

I’ve sent it in private

Mpma is 2 txs…. First tx sets up stuff for the larger second tx…. First tx takes its fee from the minimum tx fee specified in freewallet settings screen….. second larger tx takes its fee from the mpma send screen…. I got with minimum of 1000 sats on first tx and then 5000 or so sats on second tx….

-
Can we ban this mf? @jdogresorg

that is not a freewallet issue, DUST is a specific thing on the bitcoin network... a minimum amount of BTC that is allowed to be sent.... you can not send LESS Than DUST amount.... we don't want the bitcoin network clogged up by sending single satoshi transactions, so the bitcoin devs in their infinite wisdom have come up with a set minimum amount of BTC that must be sent in an output for the transaction to be considered valid
-
What Is Bitcoin Dust?
Bitcoin dust is the small value of bitcoins that cannot be transacted due to high cryptocurrency miner fees.
-
But I'm pretty sure I've sent smaller amounts than 2345 sats before. It has become an issue once the price of one unit dropped below $1. See this dispenser page for reference, someone was able to successfully buy 1 card: https://xchain.io/tx/483e42ea8bd8ea6116933314221e246c263a15a41288f4562729ec9ef45b8af4
-
not sure how they were able to send that, perhaps because the change amount was large... either way, my point is DUST is not a freewallet specific error, it is an error coming directly from the bitcoin core network, not freewallet
-
the dust limit hardcoded into bitcoin core at this point is 5460 sats
-
-
-
-
XCP over Ln when? 😉
-
Is it me or is xchain not showing tx right now?
-
Tryna mint and not seeing any unconfirmed after I press da button
-
Thanks for any info someone can provide
-
Wrong channel
-
This not a xcp chat any longer?
-
I see it now either way
-
I've noticed a small delay after minting, but usually not too long.
-
Thanks 🙏
-
updating the mempool process in CP is a bit wonky... and sometimes it will just not show some of the pending transactions... especially under heavy loads (10K-100K+ transactions)
-
Thanks j
-
it SHOULD show unconfirmed txs within a few seconds on all nodes... but, sometimes that is not the case
-
AFAIK not possible at this time without having a separate nodes setup for specific assets... works for bitcoin cuz everyone is trading one single asset, bitcoin... but for LN to work with CP, would need to have nodes/networks setup to trade specific assets..... once we get a few other things out of the way on CP, i'll spend some more time looking into it with Javier
-
Hello people was wondering if any body could help or advise me please
-
With?
-
I loaded to xchain a pic it not loading
-
But will load the big image
-
Frephunchkin
-
So you created a nft and big image loads
-
icon takes up to 24 hours to update
-
But not the small one?
-
Thats what i wanted to say 😁
-
Been up for 2 day
-
😝
-
But the big one loads fine?
-
Yes brother
-
Dm the link, i wanna see if it loads for me
-
I think description should be imgur/LKVJ5pe.jpg;frephunchkin
-
Not sure if that’s the issue
-
; instead of :
-
👍
-
Thank you all
-
-
Ask your questions here n let the community answer vs monopolizing one devs time😀👍🏻
-
-
-
-
Isn't the current bitcoin dust limit 546 sats?
I suspect counterparty core uses the old limit still? -
I was reading something similar on Stackexchange

@jdogresorg can we kick Kane Ari, he's offering CCGBTCONE.CCGALLONE.CCGETCONE but acting like he's "an intermediary" and can't setup a dispenser or trading pair for these. Obviously a scammer

he has been removed

i thought we could have that back in 2017, but the explanation was we didnt need it, i cant rembmer why

i think it was already do able back then, but not needed, i wonder who i was typing with, maybe it was jeremy, maybe someone else

perhaps your thinking of picopayments.... which was written but never reviewed/merged into the CP codebase

What is special about this XCP dispenser is that my address will double dispense. If you were going to buy XCP anyways, you'll get BONUS, UTOMATONA dispensed to you at a rate of 202 per 1 XCP. Enjoy. Here's is the XCP dispenser:

In case you are interested what happend six days after TEST was created: https://doggfather.medium.com/chasing-invisible-2014-counterparty-tokens-e0916c96c60f < updated Medium article >Counterparty misprints
While creating a new Counterparty token in November 2021, I was puzzled after checking the issuances tab on xchain.io. I saw another…
-
Whoa, that's crazy!
-
Easiest way is create a dispenser for it. If you want it to exchange fast set the BTC price a bit lower than other dispensers.
I wouldn't use the built in exchange. -
-
-
Hi guys
I may have found a bug in the dex -
So basically there's a dex transaction
In the status column, it says "Open"
However, the sell quantity is 1
And that 1 quantity has already been matched with an order
And the status of that order is "completed" -
The order status should be filled
But it says "open" -
-
-
FYI... I have a special page on xchain that you can use to see all the tokens which users attempted to register but which failed to complete (due to missing XCP at issuance time, or other issues with the issuance)... sometimes can come in handy for finding some decent asset names... anyway, figured I would bring it up since this article references some "invisible assets".... technically, they aren't invisible, they are just failed asset registrations... the site only shows fully registered assets in the assets list, so they do not appear on the site normally, but all the issuance data is visible.. and here is a list https://xchain.io/assets?type=4
-
hey jdog, have you started your new full time job yet? :)
-
Yes… working on CP bug fixes n freewallet updates now… new releases should be out in the coming weeks
-
Focusing on getting mpma working cheaper and more reliably now….
-
cool :)
-
omni/omnibolt has made it possible to issue tokens on omni without using a specialized token, just bitcoin directly, trend to follow? smoother minting with just btc, could allow both xcp or btc. https://twitter.com/Synonym_to/status/1480090772351369216Synonym
@suddenactually @Tether_to @omni_bolt OMNI token isn't required. To see how it works in OmniBOLT, you can issue an asset on testnet here (omnibolt-debugging.herokuapp.com) by scrolling down to "issueFixedAmount" in the left panel.
-
the XCP is an anti-spam mechanism.... we can already issue tokens on Counterparty using just BTC (numeric assets)... but if you want a premium asset (named / subasset), then you need to either pay the XCP anti-spam fee, or you can use the coindaddy.io asset registration service to register an asset using just BTC (coindaddy just uses the XCP from their existing stash to register the asset for you and transfer ownership over to the BTC address you specify)
-
also have some issuance improvements coming to CP soon as well... like the ability to issue a token, lock it, and transfer ownership all in the same transactions (currently registering, locking, and transferring requires 3 transactions)
-
Thank you! For pure mortal like me they have been invisible 🙈
-
-
thanks, I never noticed numeric assets are just btc cost

Either make a dispenser or send to CEX and exchange.
Exchange is faster, dispensers are unlimited.
You can set up XCP tranches to sell. Like 100XCP, 1000, 10000 dispenses. Your choice. -

Is there a problem with Counterwallet? I can't access it 🙁 EROOR MESSAGE: No counterparty servers are currently available. Please try again later. ERROR: %s

You mean aside from EROOR being misspelled and the python F-string issue? 🤣

I think it's having trouble sync'ing - try again shortly. Seems like it's usually back fairly quick.

try using freewallet desktop... much more reliable and easier to use than counterwallet.io 🙂

Can someone tell me why I keep losing the image from my CoinDaddy description?
It only seems to happen on some and not others? Totally confused as to whats causing it.
For Example xcp.coindaddy.io/HAPPYXMAS.json has lost its image but xcp.coindaddy.io/COVERTPEPE.json has not yet they were set up at the same?> -
-
-
Love that your forwarded this "AND" right here.
-
-
-
they're small issues but man do they drive me nuts.
the * I've had before and managed to get rid of by using CP online to update, but last time it didnt work :P
and the json issue, mind blown. NO idea why it wont pick up the image data when I flip to coindaddy desc. -
Didn’t the asterick come when using TAB to change fields in asset creation form??
-
-
-
Hi @jdogresorg, I was wondering if there is any way to download either a CSV or XLS file of our XCP activity, any guidance is very appreciated!
-
Not at this time… the json apis are the closest thing at this point
-
Thank you, I will look into it!
