I have a question regarding a seed phrase given from a cracked emblem vault.
I imported the seed phrase into freewallet with no issues and the rarepepe is visible, however when I import the exact same seed phrase into rarepepewallet, I get only a list of 5 unrelated addresses, none of which contain the pepe.
My guess its that the seedphrase given by the Emblem vault is not a seed phrase for a true counterparty wallet as when I attempt to import into counterwallet, I get an error due to an invalid word.
I have not lost any btc, xcp or pepes, I'm just interested to know why importing the seed phrase into rarepepewallet doesn't show me the wallet with the pepe. -

Yes, it would be, but if you send a payment to a dispenser, u should get a token back… not just certain outputs…. Pls create an issue for this and we will investigate and get fixed in a future release

Yes you can see what changes, usually first issuance is token creation, second issuance could be token lock and 3rd could be description change which is where the image would be. Doesn’t have to be that order except the creation issuance is obviously always first

nope.... sometimes counterparty mempool doesn't update immediately and unconfirmed txs dont show... give it a while and it'll resolve itself.... once a tx is mined in a block tho, it always shows up within a couple minutes

not currently... but sounds like the Dogeparty community is going to be adding the ability to change token divisibility in the next month or so.... so we should be able to port that functionality back up into Counterparty in the coming months 🙂

Divisible: what if the interface had 3 options: empty, yes, no
Empty would be default and will not allow the asset to be created. This way an error message forces the user to choose yes or no before creating the asset. This is an important one because it can't be changed. -
I'd prefer just NO as the default.
How often do people make divisible assets? rarely I'd guess (intentionally that is :P ) -
so have it fall to NO by default, then have the option to make Divi later if reqd

no, you can not change divisibility of a token currently... tho Dogeparty foundation chatted today about how changing divisibility is a top priority for their first DIP (Dogeparty Improvement Proposal)... so, Javier and I will work on getting this feature implemented in Dogeparty in the next month or so... after that, we can get it supported in Counterparty as well.... ie... wait a month and ask again

perhaps you paid a really low fee on the first tx, so it was not relayed to other nodes so CP had issues with generating the second tx because it reference the first tx.... the first TX uses the minimum fee from settings->Preferences->Minimum fee... make sure this is at least 1000 sats, then try again

Also, Javier and I have been working to make MPMA sends much more reliable and allow up to 1000 sends.... we will be testing this update over the next few days and hope to release it early next week... after which point MPMA sends should be considerably more reliable and cheaper (currently we write some BTC to outputs to encode data, and don't use the DUST amount like we should, resulting in using more BTC than the user expects... this new update fixes that issue)

I am currently in the process of updating the CP servers to run a new version of CP that Javier and I have been working on which fixes segwit MPMA sends so that can help reduce the cost of MPMA sends even further.... the servers may be up/down intermittently for the next hour or two while I go through and update/restarte the fednodes.

correct... if your the asset owner and are in control of 100% of the supply AND the token is not locked, then you can 'reset' the token (basically destroy all existing supply) and then re-issue the token as divisible or non-divisible

I do throw a warning in freewallet whenever the give amount on a dispenser is less than 1 token... I do my best to warn people away from these dispensers, but unfortunately many ppl dont read the warning messages and just click OK anyway... happens with dispensers to where people setup multiple dispensers on the same address or set them up on addresses they commonly use.... unfortunately, if people dont read a big warning message and just click OK, not much I can do 🙁

Hey jdog, thanks for looking out, one way to prevent this would be having an XCP pool on thorchain. Would also show a more realistic price per XCP. I think it could allow for a large amount of liquidity to move through counterparty. Dispensers still serve their purpose. They recently starting running doge on there... Do you know of anyone that can build a bridge? Would really like to chat with that person if you do. Thanks

have had bridges in the past and the opreators have always scammed out and taken the funds... bridges require a high level of trust that the bridge operator will not scam out with the funds, and that level of trust takes time to aquire..... heading out the door, send me a DM and I can walk you through creating a bridge... its pretty simple, just sending XCP to an address to lockup and then issuing Wrapped XCP on some other chain.

Suggestion is to use a new address for a dispenser. Once that dispenser is empty can that address be used for another dispenser for the same asset or a different asset?

Addresses can be reused tho u will need to transfer the asset to the dispenser address and open the dispenser from that address after an address has any history associated with it

You can open a dispenser on any address that you own/control, however you can only open an dispenser on an address other than source if it is brand new.... the idea behind this is that we don't want users to be able to open up dispensers on addresses that they dont own.... checking for previous balance history on an address prevents this behavior.

correct... to open a dispenser you should send the token and some BTC to the address you want to setup a dispenser on... then setup the dispenser from the dispenser address.. you can do that for any address you own/control..... We also added the ability to save you some $$$ on tx fees by allowing you to open up a dispenser on a brand new address and fund it from a different SOURCE address than the dispenser... this method saves you some tx fees cuz you dont have to send BTC and the token to the new address and then open a dispenser (3tx in total)... versus opening a dispenser on a new/empty address it is only one tx fee

not always.... you can't make blanket statements like this... we give a warning when someone is trying to buy from a dispenser which is selling less than 1 token, but there are perfectly legit reasons/cases for selling less than 1 token from a dispenser.... like in the case of fractional cards like LORDKEK, etc..... but like I've said a few times today, Freewallet displays a warning message to users to try and make them aware when they are using a dispenser that is selling less than 1 token

Creating a named asset on Bitcoin shouldn’t be cheap.
It’s the worlds most secure computing network.
If your art isn’t worth $50 or $100 to issue, go use a different chain. -
Bitcoin can only handle approx 360,000 txs a day so it’s not meant to be a cheap chain, it’s meant to be a secure chain.
Cheap asset issuance is contrary to Bitcoin tx count. -

You don’t understand.
XCP isn’t just used for issuing assets.
It’s the protocols reserve currency
that is capped + deflationary.
If $1,000,000,000,000’s in value is protected by XCP, XCP will become very very expensive. -
Look what Pepe’s did to the price of XCP.
From a $1.25 to $25-$30 just on Pepe demand.
Add in markets that are 1,000X Pepe and tell me the price of XCP? -

During the ICO craze, most companies were not following guidelines and doing illegal things, but the act of issuing shares via blockchain is not illegal.

You can use CP as shares, but you can’t offer or sell them to the public . -
KYC rules is the issue on selling.
Personally, I think they should just open up shares to anyone and KYC shouldn’t be required.
This would allow anyone in the world no matter their financial situation or location to buy US securities.
This would be especially good for the US companies and also good for the people without access to such. -

Originally, my plan was to buy the shares and burn them. Then issue the burned shares on CP.
However, it is not possible to burn or destroy a security. Someone most own them.
Only a company can burn their own shares via buybacks. -
And shares can have Pepe featured on the representative artwork?…wouldnt that be true of any distributed token? Must own to burn so buyback in effect the same

I mean, if you buy AAPL and you don’t want it anymore for any reason, you can’t destroy that share. Someone must take ownership.

If you don’t claim it and you leave it in your broker account, those funds will eventually be turned over to the government.

Polo and Bittrex XCP stashes do not belong to them (unless they personally own some of the xcp) it belongs to the US government. -
Customers left those funds behind, never withdrew… that is not polos or bittrex stash. They are legally not allowed to keep it.
They must turn it over to the government eventually when they come knocking. -
Technically, the US gov is the largest holder of XCP.

This entire KYC to own stocks is bullshit.
The gov has no problem dropping pallets of USD to Iran or distributing it globally for anyone to use. -
I don’t think they hold it, but I think they have the right to it when they want it.
I always found the delisting very odd for XCP on Polo and Bittrex.
It’s my conspiracy that they did that because the gov wanted the free coins. 😂 -
