Hey frens, I ran into an interesting data point on freewallet and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. Basically, I have made many OTC trades with no issues.
Most recently (at least a month ago), I bought some assets. I remember waiting for them to land in my wallet and even remember seeing them in the times I accessed afterwards. They show up in my wallet "credits" on xchain and the details show as valid transactions.
However, they are no longer in my wallet. I definitely didn't send these ones anywhere (e.g. dispenser). They do not show up in the wallet "debits" on xchain. They do not show up in my "balances" on xchain.
Let's start there. Any thoughts? -
Scratch that. They weren't in there last night but are in there tonight. Xchain is good as well.

This is what the BTC DEX is for.
Not a shady glitch, you’re just using a tool you don’t know how to use. -
This is why the wallet WARNS you against opening up multiple dispensers on the same address.... cuz a single payment can trigger multiple dispensers if the payment is over the minimum amount to trigger a dispenser..... We do our best to try and warn users like yourself against doing something like this unless you absolutely know what your doing..... but it is on you to actually read the warning message and understand your doing something risky...

is it ever fully synced? Last I heard it was running a few months behind.... is this a re-written bot that will stay current... or just a rebooting of the old bot, and we can expect it to lag weeks to months behind again?

If you pay a high tx fee, then your tx should get into the next block... if you don't pay a high enough tx fee, then your transaction waits in the mempool until it is processed..... currently 25K+ pending transactions in the mempool... so guessing your not paying a high enough tx fee to get the dispense tx processed quickly...... reminder, ALWAYS pay a high fee when buying from a dispenser to ensure that your tx gets processed quickly..... otherwise, someone could come in and buy the tokens in the dispenser out from under you if their tx gets processed faster than yours... 🙂

ahh... got ya... yeah, CP has a tendency to slow down with the mempool parsing when the mempool gets busy

previously we were looping through the mempool every second and then deleting all data from the mempool and re-creating the mempool records in CP database table... that was pretty intense and way overkill... so I believe john put some code in to slow down the frequency of updates when mempool is busy... can take a few minutes for it to show up

yes they would.... as you can sell "packs" of cards for a single payment... we have users doing that all the time on CP... the key is, you have to KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING...... if you WANT to sell packs of cards, we have that ability... but, we try to steer people away from setting up multiple dispensers on the same address unless you know what your doing

Yes…. If you enter a longer asset description then it requires that extra fee to encode the data in the tx….. if you don’t use a long asset description I believe it should work with just one op_return
