Logout of the wallet entirely, then close freewallet, then re-import your 12-word passphrase…. Should fix your issue…. Issue with signing is a local issue with your wallet, not an issue with the platform…. Prolly a corrupted address index which will be fixed when you reset the wallet and rebuild it via re-importing your 12-word passphrase -
If you can see the private key you should have no issues signing… again, try a full reset

adding ability to just add X new addresses to the wallet..... should make resetting much simpler.. can reset (which would get first 10 addresses in wallet automatically), then could just do "add 40 new addresses" and poof, they would automatically be added, versus having to do the same add new address action 40 times (once for each address)

FYI... I am in the process of upgrading the xchain and API servers to a new version of fednode which automatically restarts bitcoin / addrindexrs / counterparty / counterblock if it stops unexpectedly...... this should help with the issue of the counterwallet servers always going down due to counterblock choking and dying randomly.

It can take a minute or more for the unconfirmed tx to get into a block, then be parsed by counterparty, then parsed by counterparty2mysql and become visible again on xchain…. Just gotta be a lil patient👍🏻

I'll work on updating freewallet to auto-matically check for addresses which have some balance history associated with them and populate the wallet with them... will prolly be a month or so before I can get to that update... but should make restoring a wallet with your 12-word passphrase much easier.... all previously used addresses should appear 🙂

You can create a custom image_large name/value pair and paste the url of an image…. Tho 50 megs is huge… expecting ppl to download 50 megs of image to view is unrealistic…. Create a smaller version of the image and display that…. If ppl want to see a larger version they can choose to view it… 50 megs takes a while to download

When you try and buy a dispenser with FreeWallet sometimes it will actually send 1 Satoshi less than the dispenser price which then will not trigger the dispenser and you have to track down the seller and resolve it

Yes, ideally the 12-word passphrase should only be known to the end user..... so this is not ideal... but as far as onboarding new users, giving them a 12-word passphrase which they can use to get at a token in their wallet is a good way to get them started... they can always create their own 12-word passphrase

just an option... but yes... in a perfect world, the user would generate the 12-word passphrase on their own... but then since they are noobs, the getting them to give you their address and sending them the token might be a bit much for them

If you look on Jdog's github, there is a little script that retrieves your 12 words from your secret word and quicklink. I had the same problem as you, and he was kind enough to help me out by making that little program -

What would it take to get a royalties feature implemented into Counterparty?
I have been talking to some REALLY big brands about minting NFTs for them on Counterparty. The only thing quilting them back is that they all want to be able to get royalties from secondary sales.
There is money available for this that I would be happy to pay out. My question is, how feasible would it be, how much time would it take, and how much money would I need to put up to incentivize things along? -

Royalties in btc would be difficult since btc can’t be escrowed/sent by the protocol….. what action would you want to pay royalties on? Dispenser sales and btc dex sales?

Problem is that the protocol can’t escrow/send btc…. Might be able to do it with the virtual machine… but not possible with the native protocol

A company/service could be created to handle this royalty feature, but at this point it can’t be automated by the protocol

What if vending was changed, such that, payment would go to an intermediate address controlled by the protocol, then funds would be automatically forwarded the seller's address and the address for royalties

That would require 2 BTC transactions though, I believe.

I have a problem that happened recently. I couldn't find my previous address on the freewallet when I logged in with another computer. I use the same key. but when opened my account became a new account. I've tried to add normal address but the same thing happened. I couldn't find my address before. Can I get help with this. I'm getting the following error trying to send fund from a disp addtress "Error composing send transaction via API: Insufficient BTC at address". I see that it looks like a simular issue was solved on github. To get around it I have to lower sending amoung and end up leaving about 2-3$ in each disp account. Is that typical? I expected I would be able to send almost all funds out of a disp.

Guys is the sweep wallet safe and consitent to use? I have used it a couple of time with testing wallets and seems to work was going to use a prod wallet and wanted to do a sanity check

Sweep in freewallet works great to move all assets and transfer asset ownership in one single tx….. way cheaper than doing an mpma send…… but sweep in counterwallet is broke…. It does daisy-chaining if individual sends so mad expensive n breaks

Probably an unpopular topic. But has there been any big conversations about the average CP collector and/or artist paying taxes on everything they acquire and sell? I’ve been looking into what the IRS expects us to report. Considering how many airdrops, trades, gifts and sales many of us partake in daily, paying taxes on every single token we’ve acquired seems like a joke. Are people actually manually reporting everything they are given and have sold?

Let me be clear. I AM NOT advocating that anyone not pay their taxes. I just wonder how the hell anyone can realistically keep this shit straight. Paying taxes is already complicated. But with the incredibly large amount of activity on here daily and the numerous newbies, I think that it’s very reasonable to talk about this openly.. especially if we are serious about our community thriving

Lol! Most certainly. I plan to pay my taxes as well. But the guidelines by the irs are not reasonable, ie: how the fuck do I calculate airdropped tokens that have no specified value in USD (for example)?
Guess I’m looking for help from anyone in here that has done it before. Do I really have to look back at every single asset I’ve acquired and report it? Ok if I do. But I’m looking for specifics based on experience and knowledge from this community because there are so many new collections -

I prefer to use usps. Always have had great service from them, and official US mail has a lot more eprotections than packages being shipped by ups or FedEx.

All addresses are generated in order so if u added addresses back n the address is still not appearing, ur address must be associated with a different 12-word passphrase….. the only way addresses get into wallet is by importing private key or from being added in order from a 12-word passphrase…. So gotta be one of those 2 things

Disagree… I think pricing is fine…. No reasons subassets should be 10x cheaper than named assets…. 1/2 the cost of a named asset seems fair….. it’s an anti-spam tax/fee…. We don’t want people spamming assets…. We already see ppl doing that with the “free” numeric assets….. if u want a subasset, u pay the anti-spam fee
