Can someone explain how freewallet handles invalid addresses in a multisend? -
Had a user provide an invalid address, missing one character last night. Multisend error'd when it detected it, send processed anyway, and it seems like it sent to a random address where all but the last 5 characters were identical to what was provided into the client

I couldn't open, at all, the freewallet on Win11. It runs ok on Win10 but that's the hubs laptop & I want to learn to use it on my time and on my own device.
I saw it says it's a "web wallet" and that it can run on chrome.
Do u guys recommend it as an ok workaround, since the desktop version doesn't work on my pc?
Are there any known functions which the web version may be missing compared to desktop version?
I hope it's ok to use it, that way I can continue learning about it!

It unfortunately does not display an error message at all.

It simply makes the cursor go round (as if it's going to open) and then it doesn't. It shows it running in the task manager, as if it was open...somewhere but nope.

One thing I always make sure when un-installing, is doing it from the settings, but once done, I also go and delete everything with the file's name from file explorer, just in case "leftovers" could corrupt a new install.

Perhaps is win11. For instance, what used to be their handy dandy tool of print to pdf has been a rotund failure for many users like me who can't even download its driver. So I found me an open source free pdf writer in its place.

Changing servers won’t help in this instance… so don’t waste time going down that route

I don't pretend to understand the xchain setup and didn't touch mine. Sometimes, individual hosts do have lags and go down. It helps in those cases to switch to another one

You can change the description to a new link to point to an image/file you wish at any time

a 12-word passphrase can generate an infinite amount of addresses... so nope, no way to dump all addresses... you could probably write a tool to dump X number of addresses and then check each address for any transaction history.

IMO…. No point in getting on more exchanges until we get more daily trading volume…. We spent like $20k for the last listing on p2pb2b.io and have almost no trading volume…. Just wasting money on listings if we don’t have enough community demand for xcp to generate decent trade volume on each exchange we are listed on….. just my $0.02

does seem like it is an issue with freewallet doing a btcpay twice... I have some code in freewallet which prevents broadcasting multiple transactions too quickly.... both of these must have been broadcast at the EXACT same time..... I'll look into trying to repeat this issue on testnet and see if I can figure out a fix... this is the first time I am hearing this happen out of many thousands of BTCpay transactions

Best to use a dispenser I think... using BTC on the DEX has always been a bit of a pain since it requires monitoring and the BTCpay transaction

have to have decent volume on tier 3 and tier 2 exchanges..... we have decent volume on dex-trade (tho most of it is a bot that we pay for to generate daily volume).... we have almost no volume on p2pb2b.io (tier 2 exchange with support for US-based users).... gotta get a bunch more volume before we would be considered by a tier-1 exchange for a listing.... at least that is what I have had most of the tier-1 exchanges tell me when asking for a listing last year

A single 5 BTC market buy would send us way over a $100 I believe.
I’ve never seen a market like it.
Shitcoins, no one cares about, yea, but something like xcp, no. -
A 1 BTC buy will nearly double the price. That’s why I find it amazing peeps are using dex trade to price their xcp.

Name another project in crypto history where the founders or creators didn’t get a massive advantage before everyone else?
You could also include Dogeparty, but the CP founders literally built the program from scratch and Dogeparty forked it so I view it a bit different.
Even Satoshi had a massive advantage being the first one to mine blocks.
The CP founders had zero advantage, absolute zero, negative zero since they had to do all the work and burn their own Bitcoin to just be included.
And the most amazing part is you can still literally buy in for less than the founders 8 years later. -
Counterparty, or TXs are very important for Bitcoin.
Everyone wants to cheer the tx fees are low, or call CP spam, but without TXs, Bitcoin won’t exist in the future.
So everyone who loves Bitcoin should love Counterparty.
Even Satoshi advocated for tokens with special uses when building Bitcoin. -

And it will become more important with time. There isn't enough BTC fees in blocks imo, and next halving, they will love that CP makes a lot of fees

I guess the counter-argument to this line of thinking is that if Bitcoin price continues to rise txn fees can stay relatively low but that might be wishful thinking and also quite dangerous for sustainability.

The only thing that will save Bitcoin in the end is people willing to pay $100-$1,000’s of dollars per TX so they must be moving massive value

If the reward was eliminated today, we would need about an avg $10-20 tx fee to compensate for the block reward value.

whats the difference between burning funds and destroying assets in fw? submitting to FAC and theyre asking to destroy fakeapecash. wanna double check before i do it

destroying totally takes it off the table, forever. Burning relies on an address NOT having a Priv key for the distribution to go down, else it can all be resurrected/recovered later and reused.
Most burn addresses are essentially dead cos finding the key for it would take forever..... -
