A friend is trying to make a dispenser using freewallet but keeps running into an issue that he has insufficient funds, despite the fact he has more than enough. Any suggestions?
-
I have a feeling it's a dust issue, would sending all his funds to himself solve this? It couldn't cause any issues to try, could it?
-
Yes he should do that
-
oof, can't even do that
-
-
Hmmmm what can we do to encourage people to start using it?
-
Opened up my wallet for the first time in two years. Made a few trades, and now I'm XCP rich. Do I just sit and wait now? When lambo?

I asked a kind of long-winded question that was deleted, what are the chances you can check the log?
-
Probably should put your two weeks notice in at your job

I moved back to Maui this July. Untested and unvaccinated af. It's impossible to get a regular normie job, because Hawaii is a Democrat state, and they're doing covid passports to enter restaurants, government buildings, and schools. When the "pandemic" started, I was running around Florida. Florida was awesome, but Maui is special in its own way. I will be the last feral human repopulating planet earth from Maui. So right now I'm on breakaway civilization vibes. When this money ends up in my bank account, I'm going to get a Hasselblad. Panties will be dropping automatically when they find out we're making art here, and we're making money. There are so many things that can't go wrong.
-
When assets are created, XCP is burned, correct?
-
0.5 xcp for a named asset
-
Which is burned as you said
-
XCP can't go wrong because it's constantly being destroyed by it's userbase. Eventually mathematical physics kick in, and it's breakaway civilization time for real.
-
wow, whale sir
-
meanwhile xcp remain in accamulation
-
-
-
It's going to bounce back
-
Wouldn't be surprised to see it go back to 29000 by tomorrow
-
Time to buy 🚀
-
Is there a way to issue asset with picture and make it impossible technically to change or update the picture ?
-
It’s not possible. Your best option would be to key in the hash of the image somewhere in the description for vérification
-
How do I get xcp through freewallet? Is there an address I send to or do I go through the dex?
-
Interesting , and discription can't be updated or changed right ?
-
Yes the best way to get xcp is to send btc to a dispenser address
-
Check the Dispensers section in Freewallet and look for XCP dispensers
-
The best price right now is this dispenser: https://xchain.io/tx/4ece7848bec306ea44a7691eda2821a1443e01838b75d03df44dc3a7bc2614d2
-
It can - but there s a traceability
-
-
Ok great thanks
-
Yes that's a good alternative to Freezing metadata on Opensea
-
What do you mean the hash of the image ?
-
Yes - we’ll done
-
Not sure you’re familiar with cryptography - but there are different algorithms that can create a small « fingerprint » from a large file
-
Note that only the top "Description" field (the one containing the URL) is traceable. That's where the hash must be.
-
That’s what is called a hash
-
Ty!!
-
You could transfer ownership to an unspendable address, yes?
-
The problem is that if imgur or the ipfs link goes down
-
True - could be an option , and a nice one
-
But this in itself wouldn't prevent the issuer from silently changing the art
-
Issuer can do some changes ? I thought only the owner can do that
-
I mean whoever controls the website hosting the media (issuer or owner)
-
but adding a hash of the art to the on-chain description is probably the best solution we have at the moment
-
You’re right
-
try using electrum wallet to send all his funds from himself back to himself
-
it does support BIP39 if you want... but by default it uses "counterwallet" passphrase generation.... which is a custom wordlist that pre-dates BIP39..... best to use the "counterwallet" passphrase generation if you want to be able to take your passphrase to other wallets like RPW and counterwallet and freewallet

it is possible to save immutable data
if we name the image by its own hash, as well as the .json file (containing the hashed-image name) by its own hash and uploaded to siasky.net - the only way to change that will be to "change description" that would be to point to a new json file) -
i attempted sending xcp to the dextrade exchange, however the address that they provided started with a b. and my wallet said it wasn't a real xcp address. what is the solution?

When I try to make a dispenser, the button doesn't work. On top of that I can't make a dispenser on freewallet

Are you running the latest version of feeewallet?

Dispensers don’t really work with counterwallet. I think they currently only work if you sell for whole BTC amounts.

Yes it is dust issue. Try to have more than 0.0002 in the wallet for the tx. Sometimes if your wallet has a balance from many outputs then you have to have more than that. Sending dust payments as a change back to you is not efficient, thats why the wallet pop the error

Howdy! Looking to fund the creation of a tool to scrape all private and public keys from counterparty seeds, including segwit addresses.
The tool should be open source, and an html downloadable site that you can right click save and will work on its own offline. It should output a pre determined amount of private and public keys, including segwit and legacy addresses.
I'm willing to offer 300 bucks in BTC equivalent paid on completion and after a successful test.
I can provide documentation and code that can be used to built it. It seems javacript will be particularly useful.
DM me if you are interested.

Hi guys, has anyone here been able to send XCP from a wallet that starts with 3 ?
-
I saw a script posted in here that supposedly lets you do that, anyone has experience with it?
-
@jdogresorg For dispensers in Freewallet. The give remaining is not lowered by an unconfirmed dispenser transaction. This is also true if you do "Refresh Dispenser Lists". Maybe this needs a refresh of dispenser lists and some more to be implemented.
-
can you continue explaining your SCAM over here dude?
-
LOL
-
Actually that the other thing you can do to hide the JSON media format
-
Least the base64 bit
-
what? cx
-
Sorry mistook you for someone else - however when u setup a JSON file in the description can use the base64 extension to hide your media files
-
oh, but that wanted me to give him my private key
-
Oh yeah should have given him the gas scam keys
-
You know the ones that accidentally ask room what do these trust wallet words mean
-
Scam the scammer
-
haha, dont have them
-
how does that scam works tho? think i havent see it
-
Goes like this - ‘..my boyfriend gave me some tokens but I don’t know what these (seed phrase) mean, said something about trustwallet
-
Then the gullible will log into trust wallet with them and see thousands of $ worth of tokens, but no gas to send them out, so they transfer in gas (Eth maybe) large amount to transfer the tokens, and a smart contract instantly transfers the Eth to the scammers actual Account
-
So it’s a honey trap scam
-
I just collect the words - and give them to the support scammers that contact me
-
thats interesting
-
well deserved xd

Dispensers or DEX
-
More volume and better prices on dispensers generally
-
They are very simple to use - Send btc, receive xcp within 1 confirmation
-
Ok cool. Is there a list of dispensers?
-
https://xchain.io/asset/XCP - dispensers tab. I operate #1 and #3 and can help out if any issues.
-
Just make sure to always check if a dispenser is open and has enough remaining XCP on xchain before using it
-
-
-
-
No problem. Good luck! My dispensers might be empty by the morning but there should always be good ones anyway
-
thanks bud.... booted the scammer
-
Actually when you try to buy from a dispenser in freewallet, we DO do a check for unconfirmed transactions and throw an error/confirmation message if any of the pending transactions would empty the dispenser..... we still allow people to proceed with the purchase tho if they want... which allows front-running orders with a higher tx fee (didn't feel it was right to prevent people who wanted to buy something and pay a higher fee to do so from being prevented from doing so.... especially in cases where there is a pending dispenser transaction that is taking a long time to confirm due to low tx fee being paid)

Hi there J-dog, I’ve got a Pepe on a segwit address in my blue wallet. There is no btc on this address. How do I transfer my pepe to a legacy address so that I can view it on freewallet .io? Thanks
-
not familiar with "blue wallet"... but you should hopefully be able to dump the private key for the address
-
you should then be able to import that private key for the segwit address into freewallet.io desktop wallet
-
but you will need some BTC to pay for the transaction to move the rarepepe from one address to another... every bitcoin transaction requires a bit of BTC to pay the miners to process your transaction... no way around that
-
Link
Bitcoin wallet and Lightning wallet for iOS and Android focus on security and UX. Open source, Segwit and HD wallets, lightning network, plausible deniability, replace by fee and full encryption
-
All right, I’ve installed the app but wasn’t able to import any private key.
-
hrm.... should be able to import the segwit private key... if not, might need to wait a few weeks until I get a chance to update freewallet-desktop with support for importing segwit addresses... I thought I already added support for that, but if your having issues, could be that is not the case
-
try putting the following in front of your private key
-
p2wpkh:
-
Just help me understand this. The Pepe will always be transacted once funds move from the address that it’s on. There’s nothing else I have to consider, right?
-
so... p2wpkh:PRIVATE_KEY_HERE
-
try importing that string and see if it works for ya
-
Counterparty transactions are just specially crafted bitcoin transactions... so yes, your PEPE will stay in your address until you send some BTC to your address and then specifically move the rare pepe to a different address
-
Oh no sorry I meant the app on my phone ~ haven’t tried it on desktop yet
-
got ya... blue wallet wont show counterparty assets... you have to use a counterparty compatible wallet to view counterparty assets
-
and as of right now, freewallet-desktop is the only counterparty wallet that supports importing segwit addresses
-
Alright, thanks
-
-
That’s really interesting. I wonder how the seller was able to send 0 btc though. For clarification, I purchased it a while ago from scarce city, and it does seem to be sitting there on that segwit address, but with no funds. So best practice would be to transfer a few sats (enough for mining fees) and then drain the address if I would like to transfer it to a legacy address.
-
correct... prolly best to send like 10K sats to the address, then just import the private key and do a send of the asset to a legacy address (one that starts with 1)
-
FYI.. you can SEND an asset to any bitcoin address, the receiving address doesn't have to have any BTC in it to receive a token... just have to have BTC in the address if you want to SEND a token 🙂
-
Got it. Weird thing is that I tried to import the private key to electrum on desktop, and it failed. So hopefully It’ll work with the free wallet desktop app.
-
if nothing else, at least you learned a valuable lesson... only have tokens sent to counterparty compatible wallets
-
This is amazing. I’m still really new to the Pepe sphere.
-
fear not, you'll be able to move your token... as long as you have access to the private key in your wallet, you should be able to move the rare pepe (even if not now, in the future)
-
welcome.. happy to have you
-
-
Ok got it now I can rest assured. Thanks for your time! That was really helpful. I’ll think about what to do next, while having lunch. 🤓

Dispenser question... can I create from my source wallet, targeting a dispenser address that's in another one of my wallets (different seed phrase to source wallet)?
Will the created dispenser function such that it remits the BTC to my target address specified?
To all appearances, that is what I'd expect, but I just want to make sure.
I've only used target addresses belonging to the same wallet / seed before. -
Of course you can match open offers. Do you have a specific tx that you'd like to share so we can take a look?
-
I believe so, as long as that address has had no prior activity.
-
-
hello, trying to send a message but no luck
-
try again
-
Ok thanks! Have to retype it! Thx! 👍
-
@jdogresorg For some reason auto-btcpay failed on a DEX order match. It is now still pending. Will the order match succeed if I just send the btc manually?
-
nope, it has to be a specific BTCpay transaction... a normal send wont do it
-
if your buying with BTC, you should be using freewallet.io desktop wallet and auto-btcpay
-
if your selling for BTC on the DEX, you gotta hope the buying party is using freewallet.io desktop and auto-btcpay... or else it wont work
-
this is why it is best to use dispensers for BTC interactions... much simpler.. just one normal BTC send to buy
-
Yes this is what I'm doing (buying with BTC, auto btcpay enabled)
-
hrm... the wallet should automatically detect the order match and pay it then.... it can take 5 minutes or so for the wallet to detect the order match
-
it detected it alright but I got an 'insufficient fee' error on one of my 3 order matches, even though I seem to have enough on the address
-
hrm.... yeah, insufficient fee error might be paying too cheap of a tx fee.... might want to adjust your minimum tx fee up to like 1000 or 1500 sats 🙂
-
adjust minimum tx fee... then close wallet, then reopen it and see if that fixes it for ya 🙂
-
wil do! thanks :)

Hello everyone any of you familiar with THORchain(Not shilling)? I was wondering if anyone here has the technical skills and or interest to develop a bridge to provide liquidity in the protocol's pools. This should be great for XCP holders as they can get a good return on their XCP(currently upward of 20% depending on trading activity and pool depth). Please DM if anyone is interested. For some documentation here: https://docs.thorchain.org/chain-clients/utxo-chainsUTXO Chains
How the Bifrost works for UTXO chains like Bitcoin and its forks
-
Creating a bridge is not that difficult... but there needs to be a good reason... XCP has access to liquidity via its exchange listings, the DEX, and dispensers
-
2 questions on dogeparty: 1. Is there an official TG group? 2. Are there any high-value assets and collections (similar to FDCARD / SATOSHICARD / PEPEs on XCP)?
-
Might be surprised at the number of ETH NFTers that don't even have bitcoin holdings - in any case having a uniswap like interface (THOR if I understand it correctly) could help onboard that crowd

imgur is easier than IPFS for ppl.

understood, I mean the reason is to get paid for providing liquidity... as opposed to just hodling in ur wallet with no fees coming in.
-

- 27 November 2021 (23 messages)
-
Looking at the asset, what would be best practice for hosting the json?
-
not bad to get anywhere from 9 to 20% on your XCP that is just sitting there otherwise.
-
How do you currently estimate sc risk on thorchain? I like the idea of it, but it's rather complex and I won't touch it for now, until it's been hack-free for a reasonable amount of time.
-
Well there is risk for sure, that being said the team is quite competent and committed to pull through on what was promised... But yeah still not on "mainnet"... But there are some caps on how much value can be locked up in the network
-
thorchain is a premined centralized permissioned scam by profit seeking psychopaths
-
👍

Does providing Liquidity lead to IL thou
-
yes , however, after 100 days of providing liquidity, if you have IL the protocol will pay you so you are not at a loss, that being said it is most likely that after 100 days you are net positive.

Anyone selling 500xcp at a good rate? Preferably on the DEX (no dispenser) due to the high amount

i set up an xcp dispenser and it got emptied. so now it has .44 btc in it. on freewallet desktop, can i now just send the btc from that address to a segwit address or does it need to be to a cp address? also, would i be ok sending .43998 and .00002 txn fee or do i need a higher amount for fee?
-
So your bitcoin is now just bitcoin. Freewallet, Rarepepewallet.com, counterwallet, etc are all "XCP aware bitcoin wallets"
So without any XCP assets left, that address is just a bitcoin address. Send as you will.
I prefer to sweep the private key into electrum. -
-
Electrum will calculate the exact fee needed to empty the address completely
-
-
(and if you aren't worried when funds will confirm just set for minimum 1 sat and these days it won't be long until conf)

I clicked on "Crack Open" so I can pull assets back from the vault.

Hey guys looking for some help with insufficient funds error on freewallet…won’t let me send anything, says I need x amount of BTC to complete transaction but I do have that amount…I even tried a $5 fee…😞

Too many small inputs probably
-
-
-
-
Hmm crazy …I’ll try that thanks…where are the small inputs coming from if I may ask? Is it a freewallet thing?
-
Can I import the private key or does it have to be the seed phrase?

Sweet! I’m guessing master private key is the same as private key 🧐

Having your private key so it can steal your wallet is a scam

It’s all good Anna … thanks again Dennis 🤙

when you receive bitcoin, you receive it in UTXOs... all the UTXOs add up to tell you your balance... but its no different than having $1 but having it all in pennies.... you need to gather your pennies *utxos" up into a $1... so it is easier to transport/spend, etc

within freewallet.io I put a warning anytime someone is purchasing less than 1.0 token.... but on xchain, I don't feel a warning is appropriate, as selling a fraction of something is entirely reasonable and is not really a scam, tho it can be misleading to noobs
-
cool

Same guy who used passphrase phishing?

You are attempting to make a BTC purchase from a dispenser which is selling less than 1 ' + asset + ' token per dispense!
Please make sure this is an action that you would like to perform, as it may result in you getting less ' + asset + ' tokens from the dispenser than expected! -
I throw that alert and confirm with the user when they are purchasing less than 1.0 token that they should verify their action.... I do my best to steer people away from getting taken advantage of
-
Thanks boss 👍The person who did it can still be a man of honor and return the funds! Hope he will
-
the name put forward inst in any groups
-
i hope he does. you cant accidentally set a 0.01 give rate though
-
How do we know this is the guy?
-
the one that bought it got scammed

-
omg... hope 1HjAE gets the money back.
-
my logs don't go back that far. did he pay back the person who got scammed last time?
-
I highly doubt repeat scammers pay back their victims tbh

I searched the address top left

About 4 days left of the Dogeparty bern, uses the same base software as Counterparty.
About $600k raised so far. A good portion of this money will go towards development of the Dogeparty protocol which can be used with the same base code to upgrade the Counterparty protocol.
Not trying to shill, I went hard and bought a load of XDP because I think it will have a high return, but also because every $ I put in will help CP improve the protocol.
In all honesty, I have more incentive not to share this based on how much XDP I own, but I don’t want my CP friends left out.
Here’s my write up on why I’m bullish XDP.
Do what you want with it, not investing advice.

That's good but I feel the warning could be made stronger/more effective, for instance by adding a big danger symbol next to the dispenser address right in the XCP dispenser list view. Unfortunately we're only human plus we have been trained by all those cookie prompts and EULAs to click OK on dialog boxes without reading. Also, if the victim doesn't get refunded, let's show the power of the XCP community and fund a support address where donations can be made to the victim? He's probably the biggest NFT collector right now and deserves some love IMHO. What do you guys think??
-
If users refuse to read warnings and just click OK, that is not something we can solve.... at the end of the day, it is on each person to do their own research... we can only do so much to protect people from themselves, if they click OK on stuff without reading it, (like a warning message telling them they are possibly making a mistake) then that is on them...... As far as a community fund to reimburse 'victims', I am not supportive of this, as it should not be on the community to make people whole for their own mistakes.... Being your own bank can be hard at times, but sometimes the only way to learn is to make a mistake.
-
IMO we just need a way to have dispenser operators identify themselves and link contact info to each dispenser... that will do more to discourage scamming than some community fund...... as we would have "trusted" dispensers where people can know if they make a mistake, they can contact the operator of the dispenser...... eventually, people will start only using "trusted dispensers"
-
I also have the reputation system setup where people can give feedback and rank any Counterparty asset or address, so if someone starts doing scamming from an address, it is pretty easy to report that address with negative feedback and rating to help others identify to avoid interactions with a specific address or asset
-
I said it before, I don’t like this KYC approach to a decentralized system
-
Yes, noted.
-
it is an optional system, and it is just linking a dispenser to a twitter account or an email address, not like your giving your name or home address or something controversial... so calling it KYC is a bit extreme... but, as I've explained in the past, your solution of "auto-refund from the dispenser" is not possible since BTC can't be escrowed by the dispenser (BTC transactions have to be signed to send funds, which requires a private key, and in a TRUSTLESS system no one has access to that private key except the dispenser operator)
-
This is the method that John Villar preferred after much consideration, which is why I believe it is still the best method to solve the "oops I made a mistake and sent funds to a dispenser and didn't get what I was expecting" issue..... we do our best to warn users about pending transactions, and warn them when buying from a dispenser selling less than 1 token, but at the end of the day, the best method for solving this problem is letting the buyer and seller get in contact with one another and work the resolution out.
-
just my $0.02 🙂
-
In addition to this, if you have a reimbursement fund people will start scamming that too. Buying their own scammy dispensers and claiming they are now owed. V messy
-
-
yes, your solution allows for negative behavior.... like sending a dispenser payment with a really low fee.... and anyone else who wants to buy from the dispenser for a higher fee would be prevented from doing so
-
easy to clog up the system and break it.... send a dispenser payment with a really low fee.... it will be pending forever, and people who want to pay a higher tx fee and get the transaction processed faster would be out of luck
-
How about we wait until we get Trusted Dispensers implemented, then circle back and see if the solution is solving the problem... I am not a big believer in limiting people from doing what they want (like sending a payment to a dispenser with a higher tx fee)
-
I don’t see why would this be malicious behavior. I myself always try to send with the lowest fee possible, according to the mempool. Why would there be any privilege to txs sent with higher fees? There’s no rush in this purchases.
-
Life is first come first serve.... first one in the door of a store with the $$$ in hand gets the item.... no different here
-
You don't walk into a store and hand them an IOU that you will pay them next tuesday, then get the item.... first come, first served... if you want to get what you want, you need to be willing to pay for it immediately and be the first in line (some people sleep in front of stores to get items... this is no different... if someone wants to pay a higher fee, they should be able to
-
If we wait till this happens, it might be too late. We would be, imo, at a point of no return.
-
the entire system slows down and becomes unusable if we are waiting for days or weeks for a tx to get processed "oh, there is a rarepepe for sale in a dispenser, but no one can buy it cuz Hector sent in a dispenser payment with a really low fee, so we all just get to sit here for 2 weeks and wait for his slow transaction"
-
This conflicts with what you’re saying. The first transaction is the first one seen by the node, not the one with the highest fee with could have come much later
-
same issue, you pay low tx fee for an item you really want..... if you really want it, pay a higher tx fee to confirm you get it faster
-
This has happened in Bitcoin at times of really high congestion, but looking at the mempool for the last months shows that this is not normal behavior.
-
if you pay a high tx fee, regardless of mempool busyness, your tx gets processed fast
-
going back to coding work now...
-
In a way you’re limiting what people can do by making them rush to transact, and always pay high fees even when that’s almost never necessary

So sad that CounterParty is such a centralized project development wise.
-
lol
-
Bro... there are processes for improving the protocol... Counterparty Improvement Proposals... if you feel strongly about something, write up a CIP and get the community to support it.. I am just one guy with my opinions, but the development is driven by the community..... stop being upset that I don't agree with your implementation and trying to make it a centralization issue
-

Counterparty Improvement Proposals. Contribute to CounterpartyXCP/cips development by creating an account on GitHub.
-
I doesn’t have to be my implementation, just not one that changes the nature of CP for the worst, and KYC does just that.
-
Perhaps take the time to understand the process, and put in the time and energy to put forth your idea to the community.... versus just arguing with me about your way versus the way I feel is best (also the same way John felt was best) and then trying to spin it as a centralization.....
-
again, stop calling it KYC... it is linking a dispenser to a twitter account (can be done anon) or an email address (again, can be done anon)
-
if you use your real name everywhare you are th e only one KYCd himself
-
xd
-
KYC is Know Your Customer... and requires collection of MUCH more personal info... using the term KYC in this instance is disingenuous and trying to make it sound way worse than it is
-
and again... IT IS OPTIONAL
-
users can still chose to just use dispensers exactly liek they are now.... but BUYERS will be able to choose dispensers as they are today, or to use a "trusted" dispenser where they know they can get in contact with the dispenser operator if something goes wrong or something unexpected happens.... OPTIONAL
-
-
we can agree to disagree.... if I see a RAREPEPE in a untrusted/normal dispenser for a cheap price, it not being a "trusted" dispenser would not prevent me from sending funds to it
-
-
I think that Counterparty needs to remain permissionless, just like Bitcoin, and that it should work like bitcoin, where transactions that pay a higher tx fee are given preferential treatment..... your solution either a.) is not possible cuz we can't escrow the BTC to return it... or b.) Limits users from competing to use dispensers by paying a higher fee..... Your solution also has other issues... for instance, in your model, you want to be able to pay a low fee, prevent others from being able to purchase while your transaction is pending..... which would create other issues... for instance, you could send a payment with a low tx fee to a dispenser, which could take a long time to get processed, and in the meantime the dispenser operator could close the dispenser, which would result in EXACTLY the same issues we have now..... funds being sent to a dispenser and you not getting a token as expected... and you would have the same issue you have now, no way to contact the dispenser operator since you don't have any contact info for them...... So, IMO your opinion limits competition, slows down dispenser payments, and doesn't solve the actual issue of being able to contact a dispenser operator if unexpected behavior occurs...... You could argue, "but you could prevent dispenser operators from closing their dispensers while a dispense is pending".... but that retards the system even further, limiting dispenser operators from closing a dispenser when they want to simply because of your prefernce to "be first to get the dispense while paying a low tx fee"
-
it is not a personal argument.... it is a technical one, your solution slows things down, eliminates competition, and does not provide a solution to the original issue, which is that when unexpected things happen in a dispenser, buyers need a way to contact the seller, or at least have the option to use a dispenser where contact info is available if they choose.
-
-
see above comment about counterparty remaining like bitcoin..... competition is good... Bitcoin doesn't process transactions "in order" for a reason.... they process transations that pay the highest fee first
-
Best solution is to develop the non-turing complete Virtual Machine and allow people to create their own smart contacts, so if you wanted to create a dispenser that acted the exact way you wanted, you could do so.... but as for the default dispenser on the platform, they will remain as they are, and users will be given the OPTIONAL choice of linking their dispenser to some piece of contact info like email address or twitter handle
-
Competition already exists on a non conflicting layer: the first seen transaction. Moving the competition to the fees creates a second competition that generates a problem for those that sent the transaction first. And it doesn’t have to be a cheap one: say I sent with the highest fee now, but a person placed an even higher later. I did nothing wrong according to your logic, but one was able to buy its way in before me.
-
mempool is always changing... if you really want something and the mempool fee is $5, you should send $10... not send $5 and then complain because someone else wanted it more and paid more than you for it
-
-
The store won't let you hang around for multiple days holding your shirt just cuz you grabbed it first.... at some point, the store closes and your asked to leave and put your item back (see earlier argument about dispenser operator closing dispenser)
-
we have gone round and round about this at least 3-4 times now bro..... please either write up a CIP about this, or wait until Trusted dispensers (optional) is implemented and see how it works
-
J - lets do it 👍
-
we are just wasting our energy continuing to go around about this... your not changing my opinion, and I'm not changing yours.... best to focus on writing up a CIP and gathering community support for your idea.... or wait and see how "horrible" the "KYC" option is 😛
-
DM me tonight and i'll spend some time looking into your balance issue... gotta go pickup my son from his school in a few minutes

just doing my best to politely say I have no desire to discuss this anymore.... versus just going silent and having Hector think I am ignoring him 🙂

Good day all, I am from Finstreet, India's First Crypto Educational Platform. I am trying to reach out to the marketing team of Counterparty to discuss a possible collaboration regarding an Educational campaign for Counterparty. Could you please help me reach them? Thanks.

Yet another dispenser scam... careful!

xcp is available in dispensers

John is the CEO of a company which makes use of a competing protocol. Don't expect him to acknowledge that anything else can be useful, he will go on an claim that NFTs should only get minted on top of Lightning.
But the beauty of Bitcoin is that it's permissionless and nobody can stop you from building stuff, creating assets, and ultimately contributing to the network's security. As more stuff gets on top of the most secure network of them all, we should expect this type of competitive behavior -
and you can't burn BTC for XCP... that ended 6+ years ago
-
My bad
-
-
yes, the option is there cuz you can burn on testnet... but the protocol wont let you actually burn anything
-
unless your on testnet
-
-
-
This is the cover for the first edition
-
ahh... FYI you can use coindaddy.io asset registration service to register a named asset for you and you can just pay in BTC.... basically just makes registering a named asset a bit easier by removing the need to get XCP (tho getting some XCP is pretty simple)
-
-
prolly for the best... snag some XCP from a dispenser and then you'll be able to just register named assets in freewallet-desktop with ease
-
-
Can the art from names assets be seen from a Freeport wallet?
-
Named*
-
-
Yeah, Freeport is great for onboarding noobs who don't really understand how to create an NFT and it makes it very simple on them (pick name, upload image, done).... freewallet.io desktop wallet is more of a traditional wallet.... both are good in their own way 🙂
