it is mostly a placeholder site for my ethereum gTLDs
at time time of the ICO i was not able to invest with BTC, but I did manage to snag .construction, .contractors, .computer, .systems, .training, .support, .solutions as they came out.
With the intention of offering service/products with each one. I had the vision where ETH would be as big if not bigger than BTC, and that there would be such a huge market share that whole companies could be set up for each one of the domains.
But then TheDAO fork happened. At this point, in my ilfe I am more than willing to sell them to someone who will use them. -

No one has corrected your mistake yet... so I'll go ahead and point it out... CP is more concerned with making the developer community happy than the 'investors'... The reason CP has continued to thrive for multiple years is because we have focused on building and improving the protocol to attract developers and users... IMO focusing on pleasing the 'investors' is a surefire way to get stuck in a pump-n-dump situation.... best to just focus on improving the protocol/project and let 'investors' work out the financials themselves 🙂

of course I agree, but what's wrong in getting XCP the attention it deserves? also I don't think i'm wrong when i say majority of poeple see the value of the project in terms of marketcap, also a higher XCP price would be better for everybody, you guys get most of the work done with the help of the donations I guess. I, as an investor, would be happier to know the Developers have no fund problems, so you guys can take care of everything else.

Price is just not that important to me, so I don't talk about it much... that being said, I 100% agree with you that an increased XCP price helps everyone..... It is unfortunate that most ppl in the space measure projects success based on marketcap.... Anything the community can do to help promote counterparty is greatly appreciated 🙂

I really just want to learn as much about blockchains as possible. I think they're fundamentally disrupting established power regimes. I've been using Bitcoin for years, and kinda recently found out about Counterparty this year. I want to learn about everything that makes it all work, enough to fork Counterparty. Yes.. any dex orders for BTC involve 3 transactions.. 1.) Seller listing XCP for sale for BTC... 2.) Buyer listing BTC for sale for XCP... 3.) The actual BTCPay transaction

For everything other than BTC, it is just 2 transactions... but since the DEX can't escrow BTC, there needs to be an actual BTC payment to complete any BTC orders..... this is why you don't see much BTC volume on the DEX... cuz it is difficult to buy/sell things with BTC...

However, with my freewallet desktop client, I hope to solve this issue by providing an option to automatically sign any BTCpay transactions when they are detected..... so you will be able to just list your BTC/XCP or BTC/ASSET orders and have them perform just like everything else on the dex... fire and forget 🙂

I think so as well.... one of the most awesome things about Counterparty is the DEX, but no one really pays attention to it because it doesn't have much daily BTC volume.... if the process of buying/selling with BTC on the dex was simpler, I think we could see much more volume 🙂

Because if you give BTC full funktionallity in Dex nobody would want to trade with xcp anymore

If i was a new user to theDEX, and came into the exosystem, thinking it was "fit," i would assume that what I see to use will work. I would then try to convert my btc into xcp to get started. oh it is broken? oh it does not work? oh perhaps i should not get involved with a project which is broken... THAT is what new user will think
