New wallet
-
all you folks voting for new wallet - what is it you'd like the new wallet to do that freewallet doesn't? -
I use counter wallet on the web a lot, I prefer counterwallet’s fees and don’t think a locked DEX is a good for newbies
-
unlocking the DEX is not really a dev task, it'll be unlocked by funding not coding. and the fees are user-adjustable on freewallet -
I guess I mean do we not think the protocol could use improvements? if nobody thinks it needs anything it might be a bad sign -
There's been a few advancements I've been pushing for for a few years now -
Memos and protocol sweeps were both implemented -
The last one is protocol burns -
Asset distribution/dividend mechanics and burned assets don't play well together -
Being able to burn them at the protocol level, vs just a burn address, would be nice. And then they won't get dividends and stuff. -
Free wallet suggests $1 fees and fixing the fee is stressful
-
what is the protocol sweep? is that sending a variety of assets in one tx? that would be so very useful, whereas a true burn isn't really needed IMO, you can just send assets to one of these constructed burn addresses -
Protocol sweep is sending all assets at your address to a new address in one tx -
Vs theoretically hundreds -
maybe someone can derive the private key to the burn address, but it doesn't seem like a problem -
The issue is dividends. -
we need that -
None of these matter without users
-
It's added lol -
I was pushing it for a year, it finally got added -
when did that happen, geez -
Latest update. -
I voted for that, LOL -
Protocol burns are necessary for dividend mechanics. Let's say John burns his remaining half of RPP, but wants to distribute btc profits to the holders -
-
Half the profits would just get burned -
Wasn’t a candidate going to unlock FreeWallet but got turned down?
-
Or distribute whatever asset to whatever token -
Anything in a burn address blackholes part of the distribution currently -
If the assets were burned at the protocol level, they would not be considered as candidates for asset receipt -
oh ic -
@TitaniumP ? -
Didn’t that idea get shot down?
-
destroy is already active on mainnet, jsut so you know
-
Oh neat, all three of my proposals went through :) -
-
MPMA is up too, right? -
Or is that still in the works -
it's there.... p2sh encoding though, didn't make the cut
-
there's something up with it that it isn't getting picked up by btc the wait it is atm
-
btw.... just so ppl know, VM will be costly af
-
so donations to the CIP should be sizable (take this into account when deciding)
-
and there's just a handful of ppl able to do it.... and from that set of ppl the only one willing to do stuff is me atm 😂
-

Something else
-
what would be your something else?
-
Get relisted on major exchanges
-
eeeh.... i'm a dev.... i'm not going to be doing that
-
... not likely anyone will do that
-
i started a trello to get ppl organized....
-
it has had little usage tbh
-
-
Something else -
/results@PollBot -
What's your "something else"?
-
New wallet -
Then type /3 -
/3 -
Let's just make freewallet official @jdogresorg
And create CIP funding campaign -
What should the next CIP be? The VM perhaps? 😜 -
