the token image for projects is taken from the project json... so have to make sure the project json points to a valid image you want to use.... I HAVE seen some instances where imgur is for some reason returning errors when trying to request some images, which results in a broken image when xchain tries to download the image (imgur throws an empty image).... so need to spend some time figuring out exactly why imgur is giving issues at times and fix

Pretty sure you have a 429 with imgur using a server with too many requests at the same time. Dunno how you parse this but servers must be "gentle" with imgur -

Technically it doesn't matter. You can trade both locked and unlocked names.
I was thinking along the line of collecting names for the sake of only owning cool names. For <$2 you can still get some really good names. If you dont care about tokens,, lock the name at zero supply. -

Xchain uses the cp api to generate txs.. each cp node could have different txs in mempool… so even different mempool between CP nodes…. A “trusted mempool” would be centralizing all of cp to use a single bitcoin nodes mempool… not trustless ( I could inject stuff on “trusted mempool” node that is never seen on other nodes) n not scalable (everything running through one bitcoin node).
It seems to make sense to try and use mempool in some way, but AFAIK no way to build consensus without a stable ledger n knowing what order to process the txs in and the mempool is not stable… only mined blocks are ( reorgs can still happen) -

I’m interested in this because Bitcoin has a big delay, if indeed it is true one cannot generate fake txs of assets they don’t hold in the mempool, the signal of truth can start instantly

If we’re transferring ownership, no , the mempool will never work, but if we’re just sending trusted signals using X token, the mempool should be sufficient

Incorrect… the CP API does some checks and prevents you from generating a transaction if you don’t have balances and such…. But nothing prevents someone from manually creating a transaction outside of the counterpart API…. Like rarepepewallet.com, rpw.wtf, etc

could use it to make a tx to send a card you don't have .. it gets mined and cp then knows its invalid but only after it is mined .. until then will show in mempool as a transfer

Like jdog wrote, you cant use mempool for consensus stuff. A reservation would need to confirm before sending the full amount.
Personally i'd use reservation for >0.01 btc. For smaller anounts i wouldn't bother for semi-trustworthy dispensers. -

working on some upgrades now.... this release (9.61.0) is mostly a bugfix/maintenance release... next release (9.62.0) will include support for taproot.... so CP txs can get much larger and much cheap.... also working on including CryptoMessages in freewallet, so users can send secure/encrypted messages between crypto addresses 🙂
