so what`s the difference? So is market just more expensive?
-
I suppose all dispensers for XCP listed in freewallet are valid?
-
Market is a Counterparty asset for an other
-
-
-
but in market you could also buy directly with BTC right? Although I just did my first purchase via a dispenser, was cheaper
-
pretty nice wallet UI tbh
-
It's not recommended
-
used a dispenser anyways
-
with the new release I assume we will be able to buy XCP just via ordinals marketplaces by means of attaching XCP to a utxo?
-
-
yes, which is pretty awesome tbh. will pour a lot of liquidity into the counterparty assets
-
currently thinking about getting some cards, but then...I might just buy XCp
-
XCP
-
-
-
-
anyone that can confirm that?
-
i'm curious
-
how is it possible that GOXPEPE is card number 2, but was created after card number 3, which is SHITCOINCARD?
-
I think that might be part of the plan! @teysol
-
the lesser friction the better for liquidity to get activated
-
that would be really good
-
so people will be able to buy XCP for example on magiceden and unisat.. right? @Niftyboss1
-
Yes
-
Mike controlled the directory of PEPE's so he got to choose what position each card was in. You may want to join our project we go deep into this @pepeproject
-
Did not know that. But not unprecedented. For the series I curated, Rare Shadilay, one of the later cards in the series is actually one of the earliest Counterparty assets: ROBCOIN.
https://tokenscan.io/asset/ROBCOIN -
yes, but not all can be trusted, and beware of some weird give amount. @Niftyboss1 maintains a list of trusted dispensers by the way
-
-
anyone?
-
-
@teysol 😁
-
should i fairmint BIDENTIME ???
-
If it is a dispenser, how is it ‘not trusted’?
-
The "Trusted" list is a list of known community members who can be contacted incase of a mistake or some issue
-
I see, thanks.

Dispensers can be front-run by other buyers or even the seller. For instance, the seller can see that you’ve sent bitcoin and before it confirms, buy the dispenser themself using a higher paying txn. They get the bitcoin back and keep the asset and your bitcoin.
-
Even trusted dispensers are not immune as anyone can turn villain at any time
-
This makes sense, thanks for explaining. 👍
-
I was wrong, I think consensus on first XCP 'pfp collection' where it is specifically a 'generative art pfp' is PunkFrens (unless I am misinformed?)
https://punkfrens.com/ -
thank you! If you know of any other collections, please share them with me. Would love to take a look at them all
-
Not sure if this meets your criteria but there are MANY on Bitcoin Stamps which is a meta-protocol on top of Counterparty. In essence, they’re still Counterparty. You can check out PFP collections like STAMPEPES and STAMPUNKS here:

They aren’t “early” tho

Ah didn`t know that! Will have to check out the docs on stamps I guess! Stampepes look really nice, I`ll buy some of those. So since these are counterparty assets, I suppose they can be send to legacy addresses as well?
-
is there some sort of "offical" stamp account?
-
Yeah they work like any other cp assets
-
Very much needed

could someone explain to me e.g. the following tx: f6fec509eb238a36f68cad899620a8fa57264e55cd4d71a12e03935128a6db9a in terms of which data is written after the OP_RETURN op-code? currently trying to understand what exactly is happening under the hood

It’s a multi party multi asset send, which requires 2 transactions, the first of which escrows the assets from the sender, and the second one sorts out the receivers. (I know I answered you in the relics discord, but I saw it unanswered here)

once the new counterparty version is released it should only be a formality to list counterparty assets, since the attaching process makes them basically ordinals

I do not want to talk to that guy
