I have done that with a Counterparty asset but be aware that Trezor will *not* give you the private key to be able to later sweep it back to a Counterparty address

Re: Exchanges... It is up to exchanges to determine if they want to add support for a coin..... once an exchange adds support for even a single counterparty asset, they have essentially done all the work to add EVERY asset on counterparty to their exchange..... as to why XCP isn't on more exchanges.... traditionally the exchanges have wanted to get paid (most are greedy bastards) and ask for free coins

Can't speak to that unfortunately.... other than to say that CP is running fine and there are no known issues..... polo has a history of taking the wallet offline on a whim, then trying to flip it back around on CP like CP has some issues.

What is the issue with xcp devs reaching out to polo as requested? Has this happened?

Polo has some funky stuff going on in their system.... which results in them sending CP transactions sometimes when they don't have balances in the address to send...... I have personally seen cases where polo has tried to "move" funds to a hotwallet over 50 times.... all the same exact tx... all failed for the same reasons.... and in just that ONE instance.... they had wasted over 0.01 BTC in fees... just repeating the same failed send

TL;DR.... polo has issues.... has for a long time... they try to offload the issues to CP to make themselves look better.... but AFAIK CP has no known issues (or else Bittrex, TuxExchange, Zaif, etc would be reporting similar issues)

Your missing the fact that CP is a volunteer project.... not a company.... YES, in a perfect world we work together (and we have setup a chat room where we have communications with the exchanges)

but NO, it is not our job to reach out to every exchange daily and ask "are you ok".... if an exchange has a problem with CP, there are channels they can reach out to for support.

If there is an actual problem with CP software, we have always quickly identified the problem and put out a hotfix/release to solve the problem within a matter of hours (24 hours max)

Tux have issues. Almost everytime i send there, i have to get in touch with admin to see why my tx still in my sending address and not swept to their wallet yet. Seems manual to me.

If a project wants to stay active on an exchange and community is having problems there, i think the dev team should put the first foot forward. Especially when their are limited exchanges who only have it. Bittrex is limited to old users, zaif is japan only, Tux not to reputable, Polo i got out long ago.
