My sent txn completely absent from mempool.space for many hours, freewallet still shows the balance as if not sent, but will throw an error if I try to re-send. So I'm assuming the txn is still kicking around the xchain mempool. -

are dispensers with a 0 btc balance safe because the owner would have to send btc as a transaction and then close it as a transaction whereas a buyer only has to send payment? therefore 1 tx will always beat 2 tx as long as the fee is high? do i have this right? -
the assets you put in a dispenser are escrowed and released to the buyer upon dispense no tx needed -
The owner could also beat you by buying the item back rather than closing the dispenser

A new dispenser has been created to collect funds for development and implementation of Counterparty Improvement Proposal (CIP) #3. CIP03 will allow asset owners (who control 100% of the existing supply) to 'reset' their token supply which will destroy all existing supply and allow the asset owner to re-issue the token supply as divisible or non-divisible.
All donations are appreciated, however only donations of at least 0.0005 ($20) will receive the BLACKBOX subasset tokens to commemorate the donation.

this is only for asset owners who have control of 100% of the supply and who have not locked the supply... and this only effects supply... nothing to do with anything other than supply

nope, it is an open source wallet written by me and no real support.... the wallet and exchange tab should be working normally for you... works fine here... only thing I can think of is maybe your API requests are timing out or being blocked.... would see that in the debug console (click freewallet logo, then click debug, then console... error messages will show up there)

I think most people instinctively hit the ENTER key after typing in the pair. I’ve found that this tends to cause issues. If you just type in the pair and click the green button with the mouse it works.

I can not create a token in Free Wallet. I have BTC and XCP in my address. I've restarted and tried multiple times the past 2+ hours. Any idea what the problem is? I'm getting a server error:

Error while trying to broadcast is an error specific tho your address…. Perhaps you have a pending tx which you pad too low of a fee on so it wasn’t relayed to other nodes

That’s a stretch….. dispensers are just easier, plus saves the time converting xcp to btc to usd since dev funds are usually cashed out to cover living costs, etc…. In the coming months we will work on adding support for paying with assets to dispensers…. Then it’ll be easier to collect xcp and give out a token of appreciation like we do now with btc and dispensers

Can someone please tell me if FreeWallet will only issue tokens from one address? I've added BTC and XCP to a second address in FreeWallet but I get an error every time I try to create a token. The error is not giving me any indication of the true nature of the issue.

Well I checked all the transactions history there is nothing pending, actually I had opened a dispenser on this address so it is CLOSED already and I have received all transaction amounts

not sure what to tell ya other than that the issue is not with the wallet generating or signing the transaction... it is with broadcasting the signed transaction, which means it is specific to your address and not a wallet issue.... perhaps try sending some more BTC to your address and try your action again.

Or is it actually, send this asset to this address to get X in return? Would the dispenser still be able to be rug pulled with this method or would the protocol be able to stop the rug pull since the paying assets can be escrowed?

I have a question for the best path based on logic in XCP. A user transfer ownership of a sub-asset but not the parent and now it is stuck in that wallet address, how can then move it out. Do they have to transfer the Parent to that wallet? To be able to trasfer back? They also have other subasset so assume those can stay with the orignal parent address? -

It would be dispensers that dispense when someone pays with a token like xcp or pepecash….. ppl will be able to setup dispensers to sell tokens for any other asset….. but first, oracled dispensers so we can charge fixed fiat prices on dispensers instead of flat btc amount (will be able to pay $5 worth of btc regardless of the btc price swings….. will make token/assets pricing more stable being able to charge a set fiat amount (usd, jpy, cad, gbp, etc)

Rug pull is something different done with liquidity pools…. But to answer your question, before oracled dispensers are working we will get the trusted dispenser functionality working on xchain to make it more clear what are known good dispenser operators who have self-identified, and what are normal dispensers where the operator is anon

Also will be adding the ability to register an asset, issue supply, lock the asset supply, and transfer the asset ownership to a new address…. All in a single tx instead of different txs for each action….. already have it working for 5+ months on dogeparty…. Just need to update counterparty with the feature and do a bunch of testing (and make sure it’s all reverse compatible…. Still some work to do in that regard)

I’m just trying to wrap my head around why we would want to use dispensers to trade one token for another when the dex already does this in a trustless manner. -
yes the DEX has the abiity to trade one token for anothre, but it DOES NOT allow for pricing in terms people are used to like fiat.... its just a X amount token A for Y amount of token B.... with oracled dispeners, dispenser operators will be able to price anything in fiat amounts... like say "sell this XCP for $5 worth of PEPECASH".... versus posting a dex order to sell for some set amount of PEPECASH with the price of PEPECASH swinging up and down and the value the user gets changing drastically at times

main reason is to support other assets other than BTC as payment methods on dispensers is to allow for more stable pricing in local currencies (fiat like JPY, USD, CAD, GBP, etc)

still got time to discuss.. nothing is written in stone yet, but this is the path that John and I had planned on.... first dispensers.. then oracled dispensers.. then support paying for dispensers with any asset on Counterparty (will require users to operate price oracles for each fiat/asset pair... like PEPECASH/USD PEPECASH/CAD, PEPECASH/GBP, etc).... which is why we are getting the oracled dispensers working first.... initially will just be operating oracles like BTC/USD, BTC/CAD, BTC/GPB so that people can price items in their local currency.... but longer-term, anyone can operate an oracle (just broadcasting the price once every 24 hours) and collect a % of all sales that use that oracle

its a great way to incentivize more people to run oracles (get 0.5% of all dispenser sales that use your oracle)... and a great way to allow people to price things in price they are used to like local fiat currencies (USD, CAD, etc)

I doubt there is issues with wallets too because I see one balance in FreeWallet, in Counterwallet another, and xchain shows different balance, I didn’t experience such differences before!

Probably because some of the apis recognize a pending tx and the others don’t…. Try getting your signed tx hash from the debug console and try to broadcast it manually using something like https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/pushtx/ ….. should tell you WHY it has issues broadcasting
