So... alert to any market makers on dex-trade.com.... We have paid for the volume bot service, and we have like $200k/day worth of volume running through the exchange, but the market is NOT appearing on coinmarketcap.com because dex-trade.com is not updating their API to export data for our market pair because the spread on our market on dex-trade is more than 2% -
Anyone who has some XCP and wants to post it up for sale on dex-trade.com to close the spread to under 2%, it would be GREATLY appreciated, and then our updates will start showing up on coinmarketcap and coingecko again..... we have lots of daily volume since we are using a daily volume bot generator... but, none of that volume is showing up on CMC and CG due to the spread being too large... apparently we need to keep the spread under 2%

I see MPMA transactions working fine... like this one for example https://xchain.io/tx/83a7167c0252f5dc9756d2b168be72c5bce95cf0d25d0639f0e7d16672345510 ... so, perhaps it is something related to your specific address and utxos (maybe you were trying to use a bunch of utxos, making the tx large, making your fee too low to relay the tx to other nodes)... perhaps try gathering all your utxos into a single utxo and then try again (import private key into electrum, send all your BTC from your address back to your same address, then try MPMA send again)

burned? no.... the first tx pays a miners fee and then encodes the MPMA send data into a bunch of p2sh outputs (each which requires DUST amount for each output)... the second part of an MPMA tx is the second transaction, which basically just spends all the dust in the p2sh outputs.... so, at the end of the day, no BTC is burned, just some BTC is used to encode data in a tx, and all the BTC used in the data encoding process is then used to pay the BTC miners tx fee

I plan on updating freewallet with better fee estimation in the future... its a big undertaking as I have to do a pre-flight check on every CP tx to see the ACTUAL size of the transaction and then adjust the fee accordingly (rather than a flat fee regardless of tx size)... this should make things run a bit smoother... until then, always use a larger fee on larger MPMA txs, cuz the size of the TX grows as you send more assets

if you dont pay a high enough tx fee on the first tx... it may broadcast, but it will not get relayed to other nodes cuz of low fee.... and we cant generate the second part of the MPMA transaction until the first transaction is seen in the mempool (second tx references the first tx).... this is why sometimes you can generate the first tx, but the second will just hang and fail... too low of a fee.

looks like your XCP was put into an order... so it went out of your address and is escrowed on the DEX.... looks like your trying to sell for BTC... selling for BTC on the DEX is a bit more complicated than selling via a dispenser for BTC.... selling on the DEX, someone has to place a matching order, then the orders will match one another, then the buyer has 20 blocks to send BTC to pay for the order match... if after 20 blocks the payment is not received, then the order match will expire and your XCP will be back in the order waiting for someone to match with

if your just looking to sell XCP for BTC.... I would cancel the order, then just put your XCP in a dispenser (vending machine).... dispeners are much easier to use... you just setup how much to put in the dispenser, how much to dispense, and how much you want to charge per dispense..... then someone can just send a single BTC payment directly to your address... the system will detect the BTC payment and send the XCP back to them 🙂

you can... but, as I said, using BTC on the DEX is a bit more complex than using every other asset on the DEX, as counterparty can NOT escrow BTC (we would need someone to hold the BTC, and this is a trustless system).... so, selling things on the DEX for BTC requires 3 steps (sell order, buy order, and sending the BTC to pay for the order match within 20 blocks) instead of just 2 like with dispensers (setup dispenser, payment received by dispenser)

We actually used XBTC back in the day and someone would sell the XBTC at 1:1 with BTC.... until they discovered that by operating the XBTC/BTC gateway/exchange, they were effectively a exchange which means they would get in hot water if they did not register in all 50 states and pay to become a money exchanger... so they quickly stopped doing that after they learned they could be in trouble.
There is some other project on CP that is doing something similar... allowing ppl to trade BTC for some XCP asset, so they can then use the DEX easily without all the hassle of using BTC... and then they allow converting from the asset back to BTC... I believe it was a japanese project. -
Personally I think dispensers are way more slick than using BTC on the DEX.... I plan to encourage ppl strongly in freewallet to just use dispensers to sell things for BTC instead of using the DEX.... i'll still support using BTC on the DEX, but only after notifying ppl that things are not as simple as they seem, and that using a dispenser is much more straightforward 🙂

You put a dispenser up, and if it is a decent price, then people will buy it... it isn't like a traditional DEX market... but yes, we see lots of XCP being purchased from dispensers each day... so if you post at a decent price, can prolly sell it all pretty quickly

getting stuck generating transaction means that your computer/wallet is not able to communicate with the CP API servers at api.counterparty.io.... the servers are up and operating fine, so most likely culprit is something on your network is preventing normal communication between the wallet and api.counterparty.io

click on the freewallet logo, then click the debug button, then try your transaction again... I bet some red stuff comes up in the debug console indicating that your unable to communicate with the Counterparty API servers.

Here is a question for the gallery:
I transferred coins into FreeWallet and now I wish to send some of the coins to other FreeWallets. I have about $45 worth of BTC in my wallet, but no matter how much I offer to pay or how low I set the transaction, the error message says that I don't have enough Bitcoin. J-Dog suggests that my BTC is fragmented and that I should "gather my dust". Then he said I have "tiny utxos" and that if I send them to myself, then I will make 1 UTXO.
I don't have a clue what any of that means! J-Dog suggested that I ask for help on this channel, so here I am and my problem has been stated. Can someone help me? This is awesome! Very useful. Thanks. I spoke to bench and since have been adding md5_checksum to my json. I forgot about the broadcast function to "blockchain" the hash, that's great as it's just a field for now and I was thinking to up the hash the string to a file and link to that file onchain. It's a bit clunky but works, but this is cleaner. I used the broadcast to "mint" my questfren but apart from that not explored it. Out of interest, in the example why was RIPEMD-160 used? -

Install electrum wallet and import those keys on it. Once you’ve consolidated all of them into one address, make sure to one more send of it all to consolidate all of the UTXOs. -

You should be able to do it in freewallet to… send all btc to yourself minus the tx fee…. U should be able to set tx fee then just click “max” button to send all btc out of your address and back to your address…. It should work, I did it a few weeks ago…. Tho electrum always works👍🏻

questions for the Counterparty lords , i had a few dispensers set up in my wallet for the same price the idea being if they purchased one they would receive another token in addition to what they purchased , a few days ago all my dispensers were cleared out to this address https://xchain.io/address/bc1qgrxsrmrhsapvh9addyx6sh8j4rw0sn9xtur9uq and i didn't receive any btc. in the wallet there are no send / orders . anyone know how this would have happened ? thx 🙏 -

The only way a dispenser triggers a dispense is if it receives a btc payment…. So, your dispenser had to have received some btc
