I fixed the wallet reset issue that was causing problems with logging out n the wallet not fully resetting… should be good in latest version of freewallet -
Does this issue affects sends and multi-send? I'm having trouble getting Free Wallet to send and it's a wallet I logged out of and logged in to.

Just as follow up I did a test send of one token and it worked. The first mulit-send never showed up so I just did the multi-send again. It worked this time although not yet confirmed.

If you keep seeing issues like this please document the tx hash of the multisend that “didn’t send”…. Then Javier n I can look deeper into why it didn’t parse, if that is indeed the case

Hey frens, I’ve been away working on a Chrome Extension wallet for the last few months. And while it’s still a WIP, the Beta is ready to be used!
Functionality includes sending to DNS addresses, for example a send to “FABRIQUE.xcp” will send to the asset owner’s address (which is mine). As well as a simple user interface that contains all the required CRUD functions to interact with the Counterparty network.
The app is still being processed by the Chrome Extension store, but if you’d like to use it before then just visit the github and follow the instructions!

Don’t abuse xchain apis… it is for pulling just the data you need, it is not a method for you to dump all cp data… if u make too many requests to the xchain apis u will get rate limited….. if your looking to dump large amounts of data use the CP api or look into running your own node and possibly running counterparty2mysql which will have all CP data in a mysql database ready for u to beat on it all u want😜

FYI, I just pushed up some additional changes to xchain to support the new html field in CIP25.
I now display a warning on xchain about loading custom content, and then allow users to load the content by clicking the 'Load' button.
I also added some code to detect any 'script' or 'iframe' tags in asset descriptions, and automatically populate the json html with the description html.
Finally, I have gone back to only allowing TEXT to be displayed in asset descriptions, as we now have a way to load HTML content in a safer way.
Here are a few examples of assets which have custom HTML content which can be loaded.

yeah, you'll need to clear your cache so that xchain.css gets removed from the cache... thats where the CSS definitions are that turn the rows red or green 😛

ahh... just looked into this issue for you... turns out the issue is that your video file does not end with a proper extension.... your video player tries to load https://arweave.net/Ix9O0DN2dNO8PvN4rUQ4KUKBqXqPEL2oHbpozjPnkJk ..... but CIP only supports certain filetypes (mp4, wmv, etc).... so, your video does not display (because we don't display HTML content in description anymore) and your video was not automatically detected because the URL doesn't end in one of the supported extensions

it is possible... but I don't have an easy way to access that data.... the next explorer I write I plan to spend a bunch of time getting stats info on CP... so we can see exactly how much value is flowing through the platform on a daily, as well as burn rate of XCP, etc etc.

CP is a protocol... it runs counterparty-ib and that is basically "Counterparty".... ie, the counterparty API

counterwallet is a wallet for counterparty... one of the components of counterwallet is counterblock (which is how counterwallet is able to pull its CP data... from counterwallet)... however, whenever CP parses a block, counterblock has to parse in that data and it can take a little while to catch up

during that time, counterwallet will report itself as down

because the counterblock component where it gets its CP data is lagging / parsing / slow when parsing a new block
-
freewallet doesn't have that issue since freewallet doesn't rely on counterblock to pull data

freewallet.io desktop wallet pulls all its data directly from the xchain APIs... and freewallet.io supports all the current features of CP (well, except bettting)... counterwallet was written in 2014 and is an old/outdated wallet.... we still keep it around cuz its the "official" wallet anyone can run.. but >90% of ppl use freewallet.io desktop wallet or some of the other wallets like freeport.io, etc

Essentially, trying to figure out the difference in functionality between ETH L1 and XCP

My understanding/questions:

1. XCP and ETH each allow the creation of tokens. An XCP token is akin to an ETH ERC -20. Easy to create, fungible with one another but non-fungible with anything else.

2. Smart contracts. Are XCP smart contracts as functional as eth L1 contracts? There's a good source I could study up on, that's maybe not too technical (non coder but somewhat literate), that would be great.

shortly doesn't mean I'll drop everything to look into it on a weekend... I will look into the issue when I return to work and have some spare time. If you want an update, please create a github issue for the issue and then you will get notified when it gets worked on.... in my experience, the pricing glitch is very obvious (way too high of prices) when things are wrong/overpriced and resolves itself after a few minutes.

but fractional gives in dispensers are perfectly legal... so, flagging something that is perfectly legal is not the way.... trusted dispensers are the way forward where the dispenser operator identifies who they are so you can get in contact with the dispenser operator if there are any issues... working on that shortly.

no one "has" do do anything.... but, if someone wants to become a "trusted" dispenser, then yeah, they can identify themeslves by linking their account with a twitter account or reddit account.... no personal information, just a way to get in contact.... and, as always, anyone can use whatever dispensers they want... but trusted dispensers will be more "trusted" as you can actually get in contact with the dispenser operator

your entitled to your opinion... and no one is forcing you to do anything... just a new class of dispensers will appear which will be more trusted than normal dispensers..... the only other solution is a reservation system which would overcomplicate the protocol and require multiple payments to a dispenser instead of just a single payment..... if you have other solutions, please bring them up on counterpartytalk.org and let the community discuss them..... or just continue to crap on proposed solutions without proposing a better solution.... easy to be a armchair quarterback.
