Would be awesome to be be able to issue a STAMPNAME named token with 100 supply.... issuing supply is kinda the norm around Counterparty.... the whole 1/1 thing seems to be more of an ETH thing and is generally discouraged, as a 1/1 doesn't really let the feature s of Counterparty shine 🙂

the error message tells you exactly what the issue is... insufficient BTC... so... to solve it, send more BTC

you can ask for a more technical explanation and wait for it.... but the simple solution is to follow the directions in the error message and deposit more BTC

if you use a bunch of tiny / small deposit amounts... those are utxos... the more utxos you use in a transaction the larger the transaction is... the more it costs in tx fees

FYI... got another tokenstamps.io update... over the last couple days I have made the following updates :
- new header / footer with logos
- new 'Collections' page to list off collections (https://tokenstamps.io/collections)
- new 'Collection' page that lists off cards in collection (https://tokenstamps.io/collection/bitcoin-stamps)
- new 'Collection' stamp page that displays collection stamp # (https://tokenstamps.io/collection/bitcoin-stamps/1)
- new 'Add Stamp Collection' page to allow people to add collections to the site (https://tokenstamps.io/collections/add)
I still have a bunch to do on the site, but I am at a good stopping point for a few days to allow people to create their collection JSON files and submit them to the site.

There is a collection listing fee which is based off the number of stamps in the collection. This listing fee should be no big deal for smaller collections ($25-$50) to not disuade people from create collections. However, larger collections which have spammed a bunch of stamps, will be paying a larger fee since their collection is larger, and requires more maintenance. -
Let’s say one wants to make a 10k byte-perfect Cryptopunks collection, how much would those fees be?

If your minting 10K assets... then your taxing the system (cuz most likely your spamming numerics and not using XCP / XDP to register named assets / subassets)... plus your creating a project with 10K assets to sell... so... a few thousand dollars to list your project with tens of thousands of assets is fair IMO.... your going to then sell your 10K stamps to ppl and make a profit... so yeah, your gonna pay a premium

You also dont have to list your collection on tokenstamps.io ... its just a website I have written... your free to list your collection on other sites... but, if you want to list your collection on my site, then yeah, projects which are larger (through spamming numerics, or through sheer size of assets registered) are going to pay a bit more.... but, still got a bunch more to build out for the site too... like an API to make it easy to aggregate collection info to other sites, etc..... so... idea being, you add your collection to tokenstamps.io, I make it REALLY easy for other sites to slurp up your collection info and add to their sites

freewallet is meant to use ONE 12-word passphrase... not meant to be switching back and forth between passphrases

use ONE 12-word passphrase... then import any additional private keys you want for addresses you want to use.... but freewallet was not meant for supporting switching back and forth between a bunch of seeds.... its meant for you to create ONE seed and use that

freewallet only deals with one address at a time... so, your gonna have to SWITCH to the address you want to use

different than counterwallet... not gonna show all your addresses and balances all at once

anyway... that concludes my general help.... freewallet works fine... no issues with losing addresses and such that I am aware of 🙂

esp if adding description etc within description, redundant and can confuse ppl. add a help info blurb that any text can go here and link to a doc outlining how the field is used currently... json url, json data, stamp:, base64, title/desc, whatev else

I am still a firm believer that the description field should be a short-ish text description... like a URL to a JSON file or a text description for the token.... (tho the founders may disagree, because they never put any hard limits on the description field that I can see)... STAMPS happened because we didn't limit the amount of data we could put in the "description" field... but, we are probably going to be migrating the stamp data out of the description field and into a real filesystem (STAMP Filesystem CIP forthcoming).... the reasoning being, the description field should not be used for storing arbitary or large amounts of data, as it will unnecessarily bloat the CP database and slow down queries.... so, changing this description field to something else would signal that we WANT people to be able to store large amounts of data, which is not the case.... and in fact with STAMPs, we will be migrating that data out of the database.... but I am only looking at this from a CP database performance/maintenance viewpoint.

It does bring up an interesting point tho.... should CP enable some hard limits on the issuance description field? .... currently CP only allows up to like 10K (cuz that is all you will be able to encode using multisig)... we can migrate the STAMP file data out of the description field, but with taproot encoding coming, ppl will be able to stuff large amounts of data into the description field again.... and we are back to the same issue with the database being bloated unnecessarily

I think that perhaps putting a 10K character limit in place on description field makes sense..... ppl can still experiment with putting a decent amount of data in the description field... and if something new emerges like "stamps protocol", we can update CP to once again migrate that data out of the database and enable support for larger files.

It’s just an issue with cp and busy mempool…. Over 125k txs pending… so mempool lags behind a bit on dropping things out of the mempool…. Not really an issue, just a display issue…. Will dig into it when I have more time.

Assholes exploiting a design flaw in dispenser implementation that’s been discussed here several times before….
There needs to be an escrow lock on the asset in the dispenser at the Counterparty protocol level whenever there is an unconfirmed dispense pending.
Only allow higher fee dispenser closure when there are no unconfirmed dispenses pending. -

The delay you mentioned was most likely due to congested mempool

No, xchain is not “down”… Bitcoin mempool just really busy so CP not updating mempool as often but mined txs are processed fine

I know you don't like the idea of supporting a native mobile wallet for iOS/Android, but tbh there are a number of deficiencies with a web-app:
- First off, people get worried about putting a seed into a web-app. It's not entirely logical as a native wallet could just as easily steal your seed, but it is a concern people have;
- In my experience, web wallets tend to forget your logged in state which forces you to have to login again and again. Native wallets tend to have better persistance at keeping you logged in;
There are also solutions where a web-app can be natively-wrapped and then submitted to the app stores, so there's still only 1 code-base to maintain -

it is an open source project which anyone can work on... there is no real "team".... I guess the "team" is Javier and I... but only cuz we are primarily the ones who touch the codebase... but, this is an open-source software project similar to bitcoin where anyone can come participate, submit pull requests, improvement requests, etc.

agreed... hence why web wallet is the way forward... the issues mike brought up before can be solved with better UI... adapting freewallet to run on mobile is still prolly simplest path forward... tho, would prefer we have 5 different wallet implementations like we had years ago... indiesquare, tokenly pockets, counterwallet, xcp chrome, rarepepewallet.com, freewalet, etc.... unfortunately, most have gone the way of the dodo bird

can bookmark web app direct to phone homescreen... no installing anything... only reason to go native IMO is if you NEED native features... only native features we would need is access to camera to scan QR codes.... which can be done now in browser without need to go native plugin route 🙂
