Freewallet Desktop v2.0.1 is the xcp 2.0 - Freewallet also offers a Freewallet Classic version - your choice, your pick (v2.0.1 is default... you have to go out of your way to use Classic)
update to most recent version if you havent - imo FW is still the best wallet you can use for all xcp functions for either protocol versions -

I felt it was important to clearly identify the different versions… so I named the old one classic…. The cp 2.0 devs/community were fine with calling it 2.0…. Until they forked the ledger n classic was announced, then they walked the 2.0 thing back n started calling themselves counterparty again.
I think cp 2.0 and classic are good names to make it clear which version of “counterparty” ppl are on👍🏻 -

Ok, looked into it and realize what’s happening now.
The names are confusing and the info being provided in this chat that is labeled as “official counterparty” is misleading* -
Without having the emotion behind it that you may have, these read as if one person is mad that another person is able to fund a devs with success/proceeds from a different project/conpany.
One person seems to be upset about wanting to get paid for stuff that someone else is able to do for free or fund themselves. -
Not sure who is who cuz the names don’t line up with the names my telegram displays

Appreciate your feedback. No fork is good, and it was not desired outcome, and waited over 30+ days for the drama to resolve itself and lost functionality to be restored, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.
Re: the channel name, it’s been the name for many years, it has not changed, the cp 2.0 devs left n created their own channel for their version, and this place is for cp discussions, not focused on pushing a specific version as better or worse… simply allowing ppl to make their own choice as to what version they want to use. I hesitate to change the channel name as I believe it will just lead to more drama, and claims of hostile takeover n rebrand or some other such nonsense. When there is no consensus to change, no change happens… hence why the channel name is the same as it has always been👍🏻
I also agree the links to chat could be difficult to discern exactly reasons for fork, etc. You may find this info on how the fork came to be and the issues at play helpful.

So rather than building an api to store PSBTs swaps in counterparty (similar to how orders and dispensers are done), they choose to build a marketplace site n charge for listings vs doing it in a truly decentralized and trustless way where they charge/destroy some XCP for a listing fee (benefiting all xcp holders vs just benefitting Horizon)
Could have had a marketplace API at a protocol level where any wallet could create a PSBT swap n advertise it, and any wallets/sites/marketplaces could have pulled a list of open trades n listed them, a truly fair/open marketplace where anyone could participate, instead of a walled off marketplace to drive traffic / profit to Horizon.🤷🏻♂️
And one wonders why I was concerned about them getting VC funding would how drive their CP development towards profit for their company/products and not what’s best for the CP community (decentralization)
Of course, just my opinion…. Fine with them building stuff, but this could have/should have been built in a trustless way which benefitted the xcp community and holders, not just in a way that requires ppl to trust horizon and only benefits them financially🤷🏻♂️ -

We have not other options other than doing it ourselves and maybe J-dog and his gang of dev thugs are willing to further strengthen cp classic.
I am still further writing at my own wallet and I probably will also try to do a layer on top of CP which uses Nostr to push the Atomic Swap PSBT, although I dunno how to construct these. We could also software/nodes to communicate the listings between the wallets directly. -

yup.. that is where my focus is... i'm fine circling back to CP Classic in Q2 to see what the community wants and adding PSBT marketplace support API... but for right now, feel my time is best spent on building something multi-chain and new... more features, more exciting framework, more cross-chain options 🙂

dev-wise... not much.. same CP as last year... added replay protection, still got dispensers that trigger on normal BTC sends and can be opened and closed from origin in a single tx, fixed counterwallet (tho getting a few more tweaks in next week to get fee estimation working)... got taproot PR ready to roll, just gotta find time to test it n merge it in (it has been ready for over a year, but yet another PR shitcanned by Adam and team).... basically my focus in Q1 2025 is XChain platform... then can circle back to CP classic n add what the community wants... kinda wanna let CP 2.0 play itself out n see the centralized direction they take things and let ppl see their vision vs what CP classic is / could be.

Imo cp 2.0 is driven by the devs now n not really community driven🤷🏻♂️ even objecting on github does no real good… if the core devs wanna do something, they do, even if its controversial (changing dispensers, disabling p2sh, etc)….. objecting on GitHub mostly gets ignored….. which I think is kinda engineered that way…. Driving dev n conversations away from community driven n keeping them mostly behind closed doors (GitHub devs only)…. Makes it much easier to push changes forward… “you didn’t object in the right place” or “you objected but your in the minority because a couple other ppl said they felt the change was good”…. Or in extreme cases “we HAVE to make this change because it’s a ‘scary sounding misleading security issue’”

Hi Kelly, Dispensers have an issue that 2 (or more) persons can send BTC at the same time and only 1 will get the XCP. Niftyboss keeps a list of dispenser where the owners are known and they will refund the btc or send XCP separately if a double spend happens. Dispensers that are not in the list do not have that guarantee. -
