Your not entering your privkey into a website.... a website is loading in your browser, and your entering your private key / passphrase into your browser.... the private key and passphrase never leave your wallet... never go to the website... all transactions are signed locally in your browser.

1.) there are multiple counterwallet servers

2.) the files are self-checking to determine if anything has changed... if someone hacked the server and inserted some javascript without knowing how to rebuild counterwallet, it would be detected

all of this stuff is solid... it has been for a number of year... otherwise when ppl like peter todd reviewed CP and counterwallet, they would have screamed foul.

so... counterparty is bad because it 1.) Counterparty seeks to do too much all at once (which btw, it has done without any issues, no lost funds, no funds lost on DEX, etc).... and 2.) You must use XCP in 2 functions, creating a named token and paying out dividends

Compare this with ETH.... which attempts to do everything.... HAS lost customer funds to the tune of over 150Million dollars.... and ETH requires gas to perform ALL actions.... versus CP who just requires XCP for 2 actions.

@ICQCRYPTO some pending transactions do not show up on xchain.io because they have not been relayed to the bitcoin node that xchain runs on yet... I have seen this to be the case a few times in the past weeks as I send through transactions and pay a low fee of like 0.00001 BTC.... the transaction gets broadcast and relayed and included in a block eventually, but never showed up on xchain mempool/pending section.

TL;DR... if you have a tx hash and the tx shows up on at least one of the BTC block explorers, you should be good.... once the transaction is included in a block, CP sees it and parse/decodes/processes it and it should show up on xchain.io within 1 minute of being included in a block

This is true of most wallets... if a hacker has access to your machine they can get ur funds... you might want yo check out freewallet.io... a desktop walket you only have to type ur passphrase into once, then u can encrypt/lock the wallet
