2FA wouldn't add any additional security as it requires a call to a 3rd party..... freewallet has a passphrase on it and the wallet is encrypted... bout the best your going to get without going to a hardware wallet. -
yes... all your assets live on the blockchain.... your 12-word passphrase is the key you can use to access those funds.... you can enter that same 12-word passphrase on counterwallet.io, freewallet.io, book of orbs, indiesquare, etc.... all will allow you to access the same funds using the same passphrase

You can think of it like this: all your assets are stored on counterparty. All the different wallets (Counterwallet, freewallet, BoO) are just different ways of viewing that information. -
Like accessing your bank account from yr phone, computer, bank machines etc

i had bought into STORJ during the (re?)ICO i liked it for a minute, but then quickly sold it off when i moved into XCP. CounterParty was never really on my radar until I got enamored with the case uses and projects involved.

IMHO XCP does not need to reANN and make new logos. It should continue plugging away at improving itself through bounties and CIP and such first. The dedicated userbase will grow, and there is no need to hyperinflate the attention of the project as it will garner the attention of the wrong crowd. Pulling in new get-rich-quick users will not offer as much to the exosystem as quietly working on a sound project with people who have an already active voice.

theDEX being able to go seamlessly from BTC to XCP will open up the liquidity but also establish credibility to new users. YES, it would also be great to get shapeshift listing xcp again in order to get new users from that system. However, we are back to making sure we are inviting new users to a fully functional facility, not a fantasy/fallacy to fuel their fud.

like is not the nature of a p2p definition that there is NO central server? magnet links are more p2p than soulseek or napsterClassic// and therefore would not theDEX as provided by counterparty be a more p2p than they understand it to be?
each user can make an order to exchange any asset for any other asset in the system. there is no need for using xcp as an intermediary. Also is it not that the blockchain is only acting as an escrow, and the actual orders go from one peer to another via the system (that system being decentralized and not on one server)?
I would like to get my stuff strait before I make a comment on the article. -
or is it technically at this time we all rely on Jdog's server, and there are no peers on that level?

Not everything relies on me π a number of projects use their own federated node.... but there are a decent number of projects which just use my public development server as well.... I believe this will change in the future as it becomes more enticing to run a node.... currently no real reason to run a node unless you need to interact with one.... in early 2018, we should see MCAT appear, which will allow node operators to start earning funds for running a node and relaying transactions..... so, the dependency on me is short-term π

AFAIK counterwallet shows you the BTC balance, not the BTC history.... if your tx was confirmed, your good to go.

CP requires a version of bitcoin which has been patched with the addrindex patch... still pretty easy to setup and run a node with a few commands, but not being able to use their standard bitcoin client might be a factor.

Feel free to reach out to them and point them to the CP documentation if you would like..... We stopped playing the "get on exchange X" game a while ago... we get added to exchanges when they notice us and users want it, not because we ask nicely π

Most of the exchanges we reached out to about adding XCP were playing the game of wanting us to give them tons of free XCP... since XCP is different than every other coin and the developres aren't sitting on a big stack of pre-mined coins to hand out to exchanges, we were always saying "no"..... so, we stopped asking a while ago.... the last 3-4 exchanges we have been added to has been done on the exchanges own accord. (user demand is the best way to get a coin on an exchange) π

The utxo is 0.2 btc... all but the miners fee will come back to you.... check the outputs on a block explorer and u can verify.... there is no issue with CP... just a busy mempool so ur low fee tx will take a while... nothing more ππ»

the tx that im looking at from the address you posted above... is opt in -rbf ... you MAYBE able to replace by fee (I havent tried it myself)
