Curious, I was just creating a multi-send to hit all of them at once, then thought twice about it. First, I've never sent BTC with multi-send. Second, doesn't multi-send route through a different, multi-sig address? Ultimately, the BTC should end up where it belongs, but I'm not 100% sure and the tokens might end up in no mans land.

basically just need to add an "Authentication" header which will authenticate you with the server... after that you format your requests like in the above screenshot

first make sure you can communicate with the server and send a request.... step 1.. add an "Authorization" header with the value of "Basic cnBjOnJwYw=="

that is basically rpc/rpc encoded (the username and password)

after that you should be able to make requests to the server https://api.counterparty.io:4000

simplest request is just a get_running_info request to make sure you can communicate with the server without issues

that should throw you an error (if stuff is wrong)... or should show you a valid response from the counterparty server like in the above screenshot

after you have established that you can successfully communicate with the CP server, then you can change the "body" of the request to different things like create_send, etc

once you have that working and getting a response... you can tweak the source, destination, asset, and quantity to be the info you want to use (your addresses, your asset, etc)

FYI.... updating dispensers to work with payment methods other than BTC is on the radar/agenda for later this year or early next year... ie, you will be able to setup a dispenser to sell ASSET1 and accept payment on that dispenser with ASSET2... that should GREATLY open up dispensers to be able to do cool stuff... meaning a uniswap style interface for Counterparty using dispensers is probably just around the corner 🙂

Freewallet exchange is just an interface to use the Counterparty Decentralized Exchange (DEX).... it works perfectly... tho I would avoid buying things with BTC on it, cuz it is a bit more complex than just placing an order

Buy some XCP from an exchange or from dispensers, then use that on the Counterparty DEX and all wil work exactly as expected.... place order, forget about it, come back the next day, poof, order matched and you have your tokens in your wallet 🙂

The address I am using is from the counterwallet. It is bc1 though, and when I try to import it to freewallet with my seed, it doesn’t import the actual bc1 address with my holdings

Seems like you figured it out on other channels. Like @LN_03d1e805c pointed out, what I said only applies if it’s 5 different tokens. When it’s the same token with 5 escrowed, you pay any multiple of the price between 1-5 to get however many you want.

Like xcer said, things were out of sync on the wallet and xchain, so it’s most likely a display error. You can see on the explorer that you received your card. Have you tried to login to rarepepewallet.com?

its actually xchain that is having issues with some balances displaying correctly.... doing a reparse of the last few hundred blocks from the last couple days while I was out of town with muh girl..... balances should be fixed in a few minutes... still need to dig in and figure out exactly why sometimes balances are not working properly... but, if anyone notices a balance issue, please send me the TX and i'll reparse that block and it will most likely fix the issue (has seemed to so far)

counterparty is recording all balances/credits/debits correctly... the issue is just a parsing issue on xchain with transferring the data from counterparty database (sqlite) to xchain database (mysql)....rest assured if you purchase something, counterparty is recording things correctly, any issues are just balance issues with xchain which are temporary... just point me to transactions where balances are missing from the transaction on xchain and i'll reparse the block and that;ll fix the issue until I get time to track down exactly why some balances are missing at times... thanks

it appears as if the dispensers exist in counterparty, this is just a display issue on xchain, and I will have time to dig into it tonight after I spend the day with my son (about 6 more hours).... should be fixed tonight before I go to bed... need to look into the SQL and see why the SQL query is failing (data exists in teh CP database, but the query is failing to return all the dispenser info... which is why it says "undefined".

I tried freewallet and is very helpful. I really should had learned about it earlier! But I cannot get how the orderbook works. For example I want to sell some XCP. On XCP/BTC I see buy order for 1 XCP at 0.00497512. How come the sell orders are lower than this? It feels like something is opposite of what I am expecting.

Don’t use the BTC dex… I mean you can try, but the protocol can’t escrow btc so it requires a signature and not automatically matched.

If you leave freewallet open but locked on your desktop, it can sign automatically but rarely ever happens.

You can sell xcp in dispensers for BTC and it will probably sell pretty fast.

Is there a guide for this? I have seen so many posts about 'dont do this with dispensers' that I am afraid to touch them.

just ran the fix_dispensers_asset.php script I wrote and all the dispensers have now been updated with the proper asset_id.... this should fix all the dispensers that were not showing, and I put a code change in place that I believe will fix the underlying issue which was causing asset_id to get set/updated to 0 when updating a dispenser (after a dispense)..... If anyone sets up a dispenser and then after a while the dispenser details no longer appear on xchain, please reach out to me in DMs and i'll take a look.... gnight all 🙂

FYI.. this is only a display issue on xchain.io... the underlying counterparty protocol is handling everything correctly.

reparsing the last few days of transactions again... xchain will lag behind for a while until things are reparsed... please don't use dispensers for the next few hours.
