Use destroy function on CP…. It will lower total supply on xchain.io
-
Otherwise will just stay in unusable address
-
yes, that is a burn address
-
I’m curious: what actually happens at the protocol level with the destroy function.

record of destruction is created... and it is debited from the addresses balance.... supply is based on total of all balances/escrowed funds... so supply is reduced

Sooo close to being fully funded now... just 158 BLACKBOX tokens left... only 0.158 BTC more needed and I can quit my job and focus on Counterparty full-time 🙂 https://xchain.io/tx/1712889

-
fuckit... i'll give away 5 CHERRYONTOP (1/100) to close this today... 1 to each person who donates 0.03 BTC to my "Quit my Job and focus on Counterparty full-time" dispenser.... cards are currently priced at 0.10 BTC each, so this is a considerable discount 🙂

think I'm gonna have to do that 🙂

Wish I was at my computer to close it out

Congrats! Did you quit immediately, or are you still going to try to help them knowledge transfer?

will be having the conversation next week with my "boss"... to begin unwinding from my position... .will take a couple months I think... I do the main app, mobile app, website, etc... a bunch of stuff for the company... so i would be damaging them to just give 2 weeks notice and walk away... gotta do it the responsible way and transition out and hand over responsabilites to new ppl... but yes, beginning the process next week

Did you tell them that this might happen at all?

Guys please set some xcp dispensers

Anyone ever had issues where an XCP dispense was pending for 3 hours? I paid around $3 for the tx

dispensing is instant once tx is included, that's just regular tx fee issue? check mempool.space for your tx

I’ll check it out, thanks

Hi - does anyone know much about mafia wars and dividends?
Just been looking at a random counterparty address and it seems they’re getting ‘paid’ dividends in SoG cards.
It looks like the asset which pays out the dividend is from mafia wars - https://xchain.io/asset/ONETRLNUSD -
Can a description still be changed after an asset has been locked?
-
If so, is it possible to lock description modifications?
-
Only if you are the owner
-
The creator of the asset
-
The lock is the supply
-
Hello..i closed a dispenser but wirh 2 cards in escrow..only one card was added back into wallett .can someone explain this thks.
-
mistake located it.
-
-
I know coindaddy is used for this but I would also like to have a tutorial
-
-
DevTut: Enhanced Asset Info | Counterparty
Developers/Notes_and_Tutorials/enhanced_asset_info.md
-
-
It’s where to host the json file - can use GitHub - reason I use coindaddy is I know that the information will still be there
-
If the hosting site say GitHub account was ever deleted - then the json file would be cut
-
One of the reasons they are exploring IPFS data links
-
Right. I'm trying to get a non-dev up and running with their token so GitHub is out of the question.
With Coindaddy, do you just verify asset ownership by signing something? -
JDog owns it, so it’s safe
-
You verify you own the wallet address initially, then pay $5 to use the JSON stuff there (per token)
-
Gotttt it. Genius monetization strategy right there. $5 a good number.
-
Means you can update the image and it’s instantly changed on the xchain image
-
Add a website to it - paid for by the $5 plus lots more enhanced information
-
Looks like some assets use IPFS links already? eg: https://xchain.io/asset/BTCSCALER
-
Cool using multiple IPFS files inside the main json file too
-
-
I don't think it gets unpinned. It's just a matter of keeping the source IPFS node running.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Beautiful.
-
This is amazing! LMAO

Hi, I was thinking about the problem where 2 buyers simultaneously send btc to purchase the last remaining item in a dispenser, causing one of the buyers to lose their btc. Not sure if that is technically possible, but wouldn't it be great if the counterparty protocol was improved to detect and automatically refund the extra payment?
-
Hi, curious if this gave any good results? I wish I attempted this on my pc right after i experienced the issue. It's probably too late for me now...
-
Hey Jdog, I'm continuing to experience issues with trying to close down a dispenser I have open. If you recall a couple days ago I put in the chat that I was seeing an error message where the wallet popped up a message saying unable to sign. You responded back saying it was a wallet issue and that I should try switching addresses in FreeWallet or logout and re-enter 12 word pass phrase. I tried your first recommendation which didn't work unfortunately. I just tried your second recommendation by rebooting the wallet by logging out and re-entering 12 word passphrase, but after doing that I do not see my dispenser address: 1EZpSs3iinB8AnnBF5UsEgX3NySmGRaFwq. I had imported the private keys of the dispenser into my primary 12 word pass phrase account into FreeWallet so it should be there (it has always been there up until now). I'm concerned as I can't access my dispenser and the Rare Pepe asset that is in there. Please let me know when you get a chance, and Thank you in advance.
-
No it didn't work. However, we were able to find the wallet files but havn't been able to get any useful data out of em as I can't figure out the encoding. utf-8 kinda works. Its an levedb file set. The file looked like it was lingering from first install as well since the modified date matched the initial install not the second install. Hope that makes sense.
-
Lookin %AppData% \local\freewallet
-
Sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing your experience.
-
-
-
-
Just re Import the missing address again.
-
I dont know what you mean
-
I dont have the private key saved because I already imported it before
-
No the original founders left the project a few years ago
-
I am sorry but if this address was not generated from the seed inside freewallet you should not expect it to remember it. Private keys of external addresses must be kept safe.
-
always make sure to have corresponding private keys in a dedicated place
-
-
I actually generated the new address inside freewallet desktop in my primary pass phrase account
-
There is a difference between shilling and explaining /presenting a new project you built on Counterparty. The community would be happy to learn about what your new project does /which problem it addresses. So don't just post a link or solicitation to buy a token you made. Explain how it benefits the community.
-
It has been inside my freewallet account....but after I logged out and re-entered pass phrase to see if that would kickstart things for me, the address is no longer showing in my wallet...
-
Then go back to that primary passphrase account and regenerate the address there
-
add new address?
-
-
How do I regenerate account? Do you mean put private key for that account back in?
-
I already put the private key in, and downloaded it into my primary pass phrase account.
-
-
-
-
The private key was generated inside FreeWallet...I did the following steps.....change address > Options > Create new Normal Addresss ......after that I had an address that I could switch back and forth to inside freewallet. I have a primary account where my NFT assets are stored but I created new address for the dispenser....I tried to close the dispenser but the wallet wouldnt allow me. So I took recommendation to log-out, close wallet, re-enter pass phrase. And when I opened it back up, the address holding the dispenser was no longer there. I don't know what to do now.
-
Sorry to be more clear (I am new), I originally generated the new address for dispenser inside freewallet.
-
-
Okay ill try
-
This makes no sense to me sorry
-
Ae you saying keep creating new "normal address" until I hit the address that I am looking for?
-
-
Have you experienced this issue before, and it will work?
-
Im creating addresses right now but none of them are showing up as my dispenser address...seems random
-
Any idea where my address went?
-
-
I totally understand you may be frustrated because you have gone through this a number of times. But it is my first time and dont know whats going on. Thank you in advance for your patience. Hopefully someone can help me through this
-
If you want to pass onto someone else that is fine. I dont have the expertise to understand how to resolve this so I will wait for support to come in then I guess.
-
If the problem can be solved by just generating new addresses until the one I am looking for shows up, than I would like to know. I just don't know and need clarity on what to do next.
-
-
I am just randomly generating new addresses...up to 34 new addresses and the one I am looking for isnt coming up
-
I am super stressed out right now. Anxiously feeling like I lost a valuable Rare Pepe. Address was in my primary freewallet pass phrase account and now its not after logging out and re-entering passphrase.
-
Hmm this kinda sounds like the issue I had a couple weeks ago and caused me to lose 137 XCP when creating a new dispenser. Hope you will have more success in recovering your private key.
-
Question: do you remember ever hitting "Create new wallet" when what you really wanted was "Open existing wallet"?
-
The thing is, I generated the new address inside free wallet and that's where the address lives. Now it's not there all of a sudden.
-
No it was open existing wallet always
-
I suspect the incident I had is related to this open issue: https://github.com/jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop/issues/75make sure address list resets between 12-word passphrase change · Issue #75 · jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop
some users are reporting that when changing 12-word passphrases the address list from the old passphrase persists.. need to make sure that address list is entirely blown away/removed when user rese...
-
The address I created for the dispenser is associated with my primary pass-phrase account. It was inside my free wallet. For example, I had capability to switch from my primary address to dispenser address inside free wallet, which means it was all under the same private key/and or pass-phrase. Only when I logged out and shut down the app, and re-started the app by entering in new pass-phrase did I notice that my address holding the dispenser was not showing up under my addresses.
-
But perhaps this doesn't apply to you
-
Anyway better wait for help from more experienced people. But I will definitely follow this topic closely
-
did u enter the same passphrase or another one?
-
Same pass Phrase...I only have one pass phrase...and inside the pass-phrase account in FreeWallet I can generate new addresses for dispensers. It all falls within the same pass-phrase. But somehow my dispenser address has disappeared which I am concerned about now
-
i can understand, would feel the same, that is curious, i just have heard about problems when changing the 12 word passphrase, but not when staying in one 12 Word passphrase withhin ur wallet, so the problem with loosing newly created dispenser addresses can also occur if just loggin out instead of only closing the app (log out here means u have to login with ur 12 word password again on next start of the app)
-
-
-
To be extra specific here is how the scenario played out for me tonight....I had FreeWallet app open and I logged out....re-entered passphrase and was back in no problem. First address was my primary address. I went to change address to dispenser address. Then I was in dispenser address. Went to close dispenser in the address and got an error signing message again. I was confused as fuck and so I was like okay maybe if I log out and then close and re-open the app that will do the trick....so I logged out, closed the app, re-opened the app. Entered my 12 word pass phrase, I went to change address to the dispenser address that has always been in my freewallet previously but as I was scrolling down I wasn't seeing it...I was seeing a bunch of random addresses that I remembered deleted previously a while back but not my address for the dispenser I have open right now. I followed instructions and now I am completely lost. I can't fix this on my own obviously so hopefully Jdog or someone that helps him can figure this out for me. I have done everything as I should. My address is just lost in my wallet. I am presuming this is a wallet issue.
-
Just a very stressful situation for me. Thank you everyone that has offered support. I really do appreciate it. Hopefully it's a small issue and can get resolved easily.
-
i do understand what u have done and what went wrong, i see no error in ur user behaviour or doings, but then i do not have any other more options for u to offer as i have just started using Freewallet two weeks ago, someone from the team may come up with a solution, i do remember there was a guy with like 9 BTC in a dispenser address he couldnt see any more and J Dog was able to help him
-
Appreciate it man, thanks. I'll wait for Jdog when he has time.
-
how much is in the dispensing address if i may ask?
-
I have Pepenormies in there
-
Dispenser is for Pepenormies.
-
-
-
-
Have you double-checked on xchain.io that they are currently in that missing address ?
-
hey fellas! i'm trying to create a token on freewallet and it's saying must be between 4-14 characters. In all caps it comes out to 14 and tried taking a letter off to make it 13, still too long. Any work around for this?
-
What's the name
-
Why you reported me? what was wrong, could simply say “Not Interested” I thought you are a collector

Asset is currently in the dispenser address, yes.

12 chars is max at this time…. Will fix error message in next release

ive been trying to generate transactions in freewallet (buying from a dispenser, sending BTC to another address) and constantly just have the "Signing counterparty transaction" spinner going forever without anything happening. This happens no matter how many times i restart freewallet. any ideas about what I should do?
-
Afaik this typically happens when freewallet cannot access your private key. Questions: 1. Have you been using freewallet with multiple 12-word passphrases ? 2. do you remember ever hitting "Create new wallet" when what you really wanted was "Open existing wallet"?
-
I've learned that using multiple 12-word passphrases is not recommended and can cause issues
-
Yea only use one at a time- log out of the wallet each time
-
Ok I’ll log out of my wallet and log back in. I wound up using counterparty web wallet to make things work temporarily
-
I set up an account on coindaddy. registered an asset. Proceeded to upgrade. First it would only accept BTC. Ok Got some and made the $5 payment. That was yesterday. Payment made yet the status is still not upgraded. Is this a manual process?
-
You need to update your asset description for service to function…. Please create a support ticket on coindaddy to get support…. This channel is for counterparty chat, not coindaddy support 😀👍🏻

Thanks

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I would like to run a query for all BITCRYSTALS dispenses in the last 3 months by API (xchain or counterparty). Any hints? I found some docs and examples for dispensers but not dispenses...
-
api.counterparty.io is prolly best place to run that
-
dig into CP API docs and query api.counterparty.io
-
get_dispenses table 🙂
-
I've tried that but am getting 'Method not found' :(
-
while get_dispensers works fine, so that's why I'm a little confused
-
anyway not a biggie

hrm... your right... we'll get that fixed in the next release

`get_dispenses` API call failing · Issue #1136 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-lib
It seems that calls to get_dispenses are failing with an invalid method even though dispenses is a valid table. Need to get get_dispenses working so users can query dispenses directly in CP API

that would be awesome thanks 😃

i have question stil bit related to dp university but mainly asking related to counterparty is there any platform like the dp univrsty for posting art i feel the dp univ allowing to post art there for taking orders is such a cool kind of unique marketplace love it and hope there is something like it in bitcoin counterparty too. i know tere is for rare .estate and that is kinda cool but would be helpful to be able to show the link to get to the asset which dp univ solved i think it is so awesome if possible or if anyone knows exitsting projects like that maybe can share the link to me

should be back up in a few... just patched all the API servers and just waiting for them to come back up/online

Ok thanks

counterwallet and freewallet.io desktop are the only ones that support setting up dispensers... and counterwallet doesn't support setting up dispensers for non-divisible assets... so freewallet.io desktop wallet is prettymuch your dispenser go-to wallet 🙂
-
Thanks for the great info. I'll have a look around and suppose the wonderful DogeWallet tutorials also apply to FreeWallet. I expect tx confirmation to take quite a while though :-)
-
correct.. the tutorials translate to freewallet.io... and confirmations on bitcoin go fast (10 minutes or so) if you pay a high tx fee 🙂
-
but yeah, not as fast as dogecoin... confirms over there are pretty damn fast
-
I dm you for a potential malicious token in dogeparty but linked to counterparty (I may overreacting though).

👍 Thanks man!

Hello.
Is possible to use p2p of XCP to Eos Blockchain? -
Not currently... tho if you wanted to write a bridge to EOS, it should be pretty straightforward... 1.) send XCP to a specific address on CP (lock XCP up)... 2.) Mint some wrapped XCP token over on EOS and give to the user on EOS... they can use EOS... then when they are ready to switch from the wrapped XCP token on EOS back to real XCP, just do the process in reverse... 1.) have them send wrapped XCP on EOS to a specific address (destroy it).. 2.) send them XCP from the XCP address on Bitcoin... basically a gateway... tho be aware that if you write a gateway it will take some time to build up trust.... already had a couple people write gateways and scam out and run off with the funds... so, generally not a fan of gateways to other chains when you can do what you want on XCP
-
why would you want XCP on EOS?
-
Is the info on https://xchain.io/market/XCP/BTC correct? BTC price of the top buy orders seems... strange (way too high)
-
Unless I'm misunderstanding something
-
yes it is correct... lookat the "buy orders".. they are listed from highest price to lowest price
-
take the first row for instance: does this mean someone is willing to buy 1 xcp for 0.00497512 BTC? (about 300 USD)
-
yes
-
prolly a fat-finger slip-up... forgot a 0 😛
-
ok :) and is there any easy way to view the details of that order on xchain?
-
not from the market view.. the market view just shows all the order data grouped by prices, not individual orders until the trade happens.... but you can dig through the orders on the XCP page and try to find the order
-
-
ok will give it a look, thanks!
-
what is this?
https://xchain.io/asset/FUUUUUH.BTC -
keep seeing it
-
I believe that is a "wrapped btc" token... basically selling a CP asset for BTC so they can do trading on the DEX easy without all the "listen for order match and send BTCpay transaction in 20 blocks" stuff that is required when you use actual BTC
-
-
I think I found it - https://xchain.io/tx/1726752
-
But if I'm not mistaken it's an order to sell 1 XCP at 0.00497512, not buy?
-
I'm starting to confuse buy and sell orders... prolly time to grab some zzzzz :)
-
nice job finding it.. and your correct, it is a sell 1 XCP for that price order
-
thank you
-
I always get confused on the dex

Hey J
-
i'm trying to send btc from an adress that was created inside freewallet. although is not my main adress, was created for a dispenser. now i sold the item and received btc on that adress. now i want to send it way to my main freewallet adress or out i it shows "Error while trying to sign send transaction"
-
i'm sending less that i have there (to cover for fees) and already 5x the trx fees
-
any help would be very much aprecciated
-
Switch addresses and then switch back and see if that fixes it
-
-
Does anyone know who is the artist doing this ?
-
-
-
Looks like lots of people are trying to buy xcp from the dex but are unaware of the need to keep.the wallet online to send the btc once a match is made, so most matches end up expiring... perhaps add some popup info box to clarify the process on freewallet/counterwallet/xchain ?
-
AFAIK all orders have an expiration time. From counterpartytalk.org : "The default order expiration time for BTC Sell is 2000 blocks and for XCP and Counterparty-based assets is 1,000 blocks.
" -
👍 thx
-
just done it, still the error there

could be your address index is corrupt.... logout entirely of the wallet, close freewallet.io desktop wallet.. then re-open it and re-login with your 12-word passphrase... this should reset the wallet and re-generate the address list.. then try your transaction again
-
-
yes, an update will be coming next month
-
-
p2pb2b.io Counterparty (XCP) exchange listing is set to go live on Monday at 9am PDT.... I'll announce here when it is live and ready for people to do some deposits and test the system out 🙂
-
👏
-
just done it but now when i search for the adress that choose fro the dispenser nothing comes up...
-
that i choose from*
-
for*
-
when you logout of your wallet, it blows away all your private keys and addresses... so you might need to add the dispenser address back via "Add address"... or import the private key again
-
You should also only be using ONE 12-word passphrase in the wallet and not switching back and forth between multiple passphrases... as that can cause some address index issues
-
if you have multiple 12-word passphrases... could be your address is associated with the other 12-word passphrase
-
i only have one 12-word passphrase
-
when i go change adress > options > only shows me "add new adress"
-
and it generates a new one automatically
-
if you have only ever used that 1 12-word passphrase, then all the addresses in your wallet (including the dispenser one) should be accessible
-
only way addresses get populated into your wallet is with importing private keys... or with your 12-word passphrase.. and all addresses are generated in order, so your dispenser address that you used SHOULD be in there
-
it was before i log off but it isn't anymore sir. I 100% never used other 12word passphase. I wrote it down and i never actully loged off before
-
this is deleting my posts..
-
should i send a pvt with my main adress and the dispenser adress that was created so you can possibly see whats going on?
-
-
just added (after i saw your post) like 10 new segwit and normal ones and none of those is the one from the dispenser
-
-
yes because it brings me to my main adress, i only have ever used one passphrase
-
Jdog please could you point to the part of the freewallet code that allows choosing the dispenser source address (assuming the code is open source)? I'd like to take a quick look at it
-
i mean something is not right, if i search for another adress from other dispenser that that is still open it should apear also no? i doesn't!
-
it*
-
also does not show on "my dispensers"
-
not the one closed or the open one
-
is your missing address segwit ?
-
(mine was)
-
i'm not sure if the dispensers i created were segwit or normal, but now i dont find them in my account
-
what did you do?
-
I tried the same steps as you did, but could not find it back (yet?)
-
137 xcp currently lost in limbo
-
still hoping to somehow recover the address at some point
-
thank god i'm not the only one.. me 0.05 btc
-
yes man me it's 2 adresses from dispensers.. the only to dispensers i've made..
-
sorry not wishing you no warm, just feels good to know i'm not crazy
-
before i loged off is was there but coulnd send the funds, shoqwing message "Error while trying to sign send transaction"
-
yep, I had the exact same thing
-
if I ever find an explanation or solution I'll be sure to share it here
-
right.. i'm sure J will sort this out for us.
-
when you setup a dispenser the dispenser address is just a field... whatever address you put in is what it tries to setup the dispener on... there is no specific "dispenser choosing code"
-
@Disp88 @NelMoonian the only way that addresses get populated into freewallet.io is via a 12-word passphrase or via importing the private key... if your ONLY using one 12-word passphrase and the address you have used in teh past is not visible.... must mean that your either using some otehr 12-word passphrase in the past.... wallet addresses do not just randomly appear in the wallet... only way they get into freewallet is via being derived from a 12-word passphrase or a private key is imported
-
so.. even tho you both say your only using one 12-word passphrase... the fact that your saying addresses disappeared leads me to believe that perhaps you setup the wallet with some other 12-word passphrase at some point in the past (and didn't write down that 12-word passphrase)... then generated a new 12-word passphrase and THAT is the one your using now
-
again, addresses only get populated into the wallet via a 12-word passphrase or importing the private key.... so, that is the only logical explaination... taht you either imported a private key, or used some other 12-word passphrase in the past (perhaps when first creating the wallet)
-
thanks for your feedback... of course the reasoning makes sense... but it must be really annoying to repeat that all the time :)
-
wish there was more I could do... but unfortunately that is the only explaination I can come up with for why your seeing addresses in the past that your not seeing now
-
no worries... not as annoying as losing funds and not having an explaination... so all good 😛
-
eventually i'll write a FAQ 😛
-
it's crazy because i wrote it down the same day i created it man. also is it possible that dispenser adress was there before i logged off and now it isn't?
-
how is it*
-
see above explaination... only way addresses get populated is via importing private key or 12-word passphrase... so if an address is not there after re-importing your 12-word passphrase... you must have setup the wallet with another passphrase in the past (maybe when you first created the wallet)... then setup another 12-word passphrase and THAT is the one you wrote down and started using
-
will work on making sure that all wallet addresses are completely wiped when switching passphrases.... apparently if users setup multiple wallets at the same time, then some of the old addresses are still in there (which is probably what happened in your case)
-
in either case... if you always write down your 12-word passphrase when your told to (even if you don't plan on using the passphrase and want to setup a new wallet), then you would still be able to access that old dispenser address using the 12-word passphrase
-
its the only logical explaination.... cuz only way addresses get populated into wallet is with a 12-word passphrase or importing the private key
-
i understand.. so is it possible to enter an account with the private key and not the 12 word?
-
or how do i "import private key"? maybe i setup just a normal password i use
-
like log in with a password i created
-
private keys link to a specific address.... so you would have had to get the private key for that specific dispenser address and imported it
-
if you do not remember doing that, then it is probably the "you used 2 different 12-word passphrases without writing down the first one" issue
-
what do you mean by import? sorry J
-
change address->options->import private key
-
if you dont know what I am talking about... then you prolly didnt do that.. and it is the multiple 12-word passphrase issue I have described at least 3 times
-
back to coding now 🙂
-
jezz 😩
-
Thanks for all u do! We appreciate you and your efforts.
-
fml
-
indeed
-
I think one day people will collect XCP as a collectible rather than a utility token. Pepecash too. 😅
-
Just a suggestion, perhaps we should add notes to the warning message when attempting to log out of wallet. Something to the effect "Be aware, private keys that have been imported from a separate 12 word pass phrase may be erased". This should trigger people to at least be prompted to save the private key for any address that has assets in them.
-
It is hard to buy in large quantities and feels like a collectible.
-
already have a warning bro
-
pepecash is cool
-
-
I tell people to write down the 12-word passphrase when they first create the wallet... also do the same thing when they attempt to logout... in BOTH cases the user has to confirm
-
I do my best to protect people from doing dumb stuff... but if they confirm that tehy wrote down the 12-word passphrase and dont actually do it...nothing much I can do
-
ppl need to read and follow directions and not rush 😛
-
yes but as partik is saying before i logged of i had acess to the adress (although i could not send the assets) i could have imported the private key
-
Yes, that is clear to save the 12 word passphrase of the wallet you are in. But if private keys have been imported, people could think that the addresses that has been imported via private keys will be associated with the 12 word pass phrase you are ensuring to write down before you log out.

In top-right | Address | Change Address, click options. Keep clicking add New {Normal|Segwit} address until that address appears.
-
Just another safe guard...people will make mistakes.
-
You can go to your source address and go to "Debits." You should see events labeled "open dispenser empty addr." Click that to remind yourself of the addy.
-
looks like that adress was associated to a diferent pass phrase... gone... but thank you..

If a buyer is not using freewallet-desktop, can they just send the btc manually when there is an order match? Or is freewallet-desktop the only option?
-
freewallet-desktop is the only way currently... or by hand via the CP API and manually signing transactions
-
ok thanks for the quick confirmation 👍
-
Does anyone know how I can download my transaction history? When I try to download csv/excel it just doesn’t work in the wallet
-
Hello to all.
I'm trying to retrieve the last dispensations via the api.
I can do it very well and find myself with a table of elements like this:
[
{
"tx_index": 1757328,
"dispense_index": 0,
"tx_hash": "5501c08732b6b918c8cc86d51588399d92b651edde700c488540f93354d857d3",
"block_index": 706264,
"source": "1BBrEjDCVqMPD9isZxRu9L3wJibQSxRVkJ",
"destination": "15rr7cMdD4KMTZcfgNbj5qGchqnzru79bH",
"asset": "INNOCOINBOT",
"dispense_quantity": 1,
"dispenser_tx_hash": "ca7cdbeb9d5f57e44785fb2f4ba9f310705aef454eae446bb26bd86d4ce42953"
}, etc...]
But now that I have this table,
I would like to have for each element more information about the transaction (like the selling price etc...) -
I have found the method 'get_tx_info' but to call it, i need the 'tx_hex'
-
however, i don't have this element. the only thing the api sends me is the "tx_hash".
So how can I get the information I'm looking for from the tx hash? -
all the info you need is in the first API call.. get_tx_info is not what you need
-
get_dispenses will work fine... the asset, dispense_quantity, and mainchainrate are all you need really
-
asset tells why what was selling.. dispense_quantity tells you how much... mainchainrate tells you the price in BTC

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't have any information in the API response about the mainchain rate or any other reference to the price.
-
{ tx_index, dispense_index, tx_hash, block_index, source, destination, asset, dispense_quantity, dispenser_tx_hash} are the only information returned by the api qhen i trigger get_dispenses route
-
-
yes the addresse who open the dispenser is designated by the "source"
-
-
by "where the original asset come from" you mean the address that created the asset?
-
lets say i had the card in my wallet (address #1) with 10 other cards. i then send it to another address (address #2) to prepare for creating a dispenser. when i create the dispenser, the asset is deducted from the balance and the dispenser is created. how would i see that the asset was sent from address #1 to #2? or am i missing something on how the dispensers are created.
-
You can see that your addy#1 paid commission
-
Nice work @jdogresorg and the donators @theogoodman and everyone else
-

-
How long does it take to get back the escrowed XCP after cancelling a DEX order?
-
It's been a few blocks since the cancellation got confirmed and I'm still waiting... Wondering if this is normal
-
could it be because I've got some order matches that are still pending ?
-
yes... wait for the order matches to expire
-
@jdogresorg is there any reason why verified addresses on coindaddy arnt showing new tokens ?
-
-
There is something bring worked on
-
It’s on the agenda for early 2022
-
Create a support ticket n I’ll take a look later
-
cheers
-

Question, are there still any benefits in selling XCP on the DEX vs setting up a dispenser? Dispensers are so damn convenient to use!
-
-
🎉🎉🎉🥂🥂🥂
-
if you want to sell XCP for BTC.. use a dispenser... if you want to sell XCP for any other asset, use the DEX
-
-
cuz using BTC on the dex requires the buyer to leave the wallet open to listen for order matches and send the BTC payment within 20 blocks of the order match.... tldr.. using BTC on the dex is a bit more complex than using other assets

I think Dogeparty is a smart contract built on top of the Dogecoin (DOGE) network for minting tokens and NFTs should be on the front page of dogeparty.net
-
Counterparty
Today we are proud to announce that Counterparty (XCP) is now listed on P2Pb2b! p2pb2b.io/?referral=c00f… The following pairs are supported: XCP/BTC p2pb2b.io/trade/XCP_BTC/ #Counterparty #XCP #Bitcoin #BTC #NFTs #MoonFuel

when you deposit tho... you'll deposit into "main account" and then for your XCP and BTC to show up on the market as tradable, you'll have to go into your main wallet and click "Transfer" to move the funds from your "Main" wallet to your "Tradeing" wallet

Well done that’s amazing
-
yes... you can sell XCP via dispenser if you want
-
FYI this issue has been resolved... was just a display issue on xchain.io

Thought Id share this in here - games on counterparty - https://xchain.io/asset/SONICGAME
-
Wow game asset..this is nice
-
very cool!
-
Im just putting a few new items onto Counterparty then Ill explain how I did it
-
Yooo that is awesome
-
Looking forward to this
-
Mainly because I wanted to add this first
-
-
click on the image anywhere and you will see its the live tweet on twitter
-
when it updates by likes or comments it will too on counterparty
-
-
Wow so cool.
-
why are people using coindaddy instead of ipfs link?
-
only just learned about JSON file structures - it helped
-
cuz coindaddy has a point and click interface to edit the data... versus manually editing a .JSON file.... for many ppl even that is "too techie" for them 😛

Hey guys, I’ve created a magazine about Bitcoin called BTCTKVR and spent the better part of the last 4 months printing and sending out physical copies.
Today this crazy idea came to me: what if I create a Counterparty dispenser and for each NFT sold, I also send out a signed physical magazine? Limited edition, special cover, maybe an extra article to make this edition unique. Would anyone be interested in that? -
-
Sick! I need magic spell to create html NFT 😁
-
Html hosted on ipfs?
-
hosted from its own site
-
OK I see. Checking json
-
like this one - https://xchain.io/asset/ELONMUSKNFT
-
use iframe generator to put it inside the JSON file
-
iFrame Generator - Free Online iFrame Code Maker Tool
Generate iframe code online to embed any HTML doc or page to any website or blog with live preview options and customizations
-
Must be Enhanced right?
-
play with the sizes to get the right display
-
I used coindaddy for the ease to using it, (Im a JSON Newbie) but if you know your way around using it ?
-
least I can play and instantly tweak the settings to see the results
-
Thanks
-
hence the name - audio works good too - https://xchain.io/asset/TESTJSON
-
Haha wtf is this. This is amazing
-
Vlad here’s how you sell your idea. Instead of saying “an extra article” you say “an extra article about Counterparty”. You’re welcome.
-
This is awesome. Is it hosted on a private server? Does the Counterparty asset link to the file?
-
its an embeded link
-
So if the server goes offline the game can not be played right?
-
Does the embedded link qualify to be called an NFT?
-
Sir that’s literally every NFT
-
Too bad it doesnt live on the chain though. Is there a way to keep it eternally online, like on ipfs or arweave or something?
-
IPFS is eternal?
-
Lets try to get as close as we can get.
-
You could embed anything on chain with enough money. People usually opt for a hash instead
-
What would be the best way to achieve immortality for those games?
-
NFTs are not a solution to immutable file storage. Sure, it would be nice in the same way perpetual motion would be nice.
-
bitcoin white paper was uploaded to bitcoin chain, some memes were also embedded in it
-
-
it's probably the most expensive storage known to man kind lol
-
Not by themselves. But imagine they would proof ownership of an always online, indestructible asset like those games. I would call that the next level.
-
you can't prove ownership of data since anyone can link to it or even embed equal data
-
Yeah you can store something on IPFS and point to it, if that’s what you want to do.
-
Isnt that the point in NFTs? I can proof by virtue of my private keys tjat I own some NFT (dont grill me on the technicalities).
