I watched a video on robotlovecoffee which uses easyart, but that creates a new json file so now I'm unsure what my next step should be. Can anyone point me to an article or video? Thanks

you can just create a custom name/value pair... name = image_large... value = URL to the image

your asset has to point at the JSON, then you can edit the JSON to include an image_large name/value pair which will display a large version of the image

it means your trying to use an address which has never been used before, and your not passing pubkey in the API request.... tldr, send some BTC from this address and after that the pubkey should be publicly known and this error message should go away

when you ask for help, please make sure you give the details necessary to help you like the address your speaking of or the transaction in question..... it saves wasting ppls time by having to have them ask for more details

You're right, there is an issue as I have BTC stuck in 3 addresses. I actually had someone tell me "it's not much, just leave it there and forget it".

Worst case, you can import the private key into electrum and send the btc out that way

Try gathering your dust… maybe we can add support for this in CP…. It seems to be a relatively common request

I have a few technical questions about dispensers. I'm fairly new to using them, and (while I know how to make them) I have some things I'm curious about with respect to how they work on a technical level.

Forgive my ignorance with respect to these questions, but I am here to learn- and am having trouble finding documentation on much of this (since most of these questions are rather specific)...

I noticed that most (if not all) XCP addresses - including and especially dispensers - are legacy addresses ("1..." , "btc...").

>>1. Can NON-legacy addresses be used as dispensers? Can they receive/associate with XCP assets?

When I create a dispenser (in free wallet) I make a new/fresh address- but what if I were to use a wallet I created elsewhere (non-legacy) as the dispenser? Would it be capable of being used as a dispenser/escrow?

I believe I know the answer (nothing, the dispenser address would simply own the new asset?)- but was just curious if this might screw up a dispenser in some way?

Wouldn't it then be possible for me to BELIEVE that I own this asset- when in fact it's almost "borrowed"- as the next person to send me 0.0001 BTC would then take the asset from my wallet??

Forgive me if these questions seem ridiculous, just trying to understand all I can about dispensers here. Thanks.

1. dispeners can work on any legacy or segwit address

2. dispensers only pay attention to BTC transactions, so you can send other assets to the same address as the dispenser fine

3. Dispensers can only be open on entirely new/empty addresses with no history... or on any address, but that transaction must be signed by the address private key, meaning only the address owner can setup a dispenser

4. No, see answer #3

5. See answers #3.... no one can setup a dispensers on other peoples addresses.... so no, no way to "trick" you into thinking they sent you an asset and instead put it in a dispenser.

I encourage you to play around with dispensers on testnet to get more familiar

if the market pair does not already exist you can navigate to it manually in the serach box on exchange tab in freewallet desktop..... just enter ASSET1/ASSET2 in the search box and click the green search icon... that will take you directly to the market for that pair... you can then place buy and sell orders on the market.... once a market pair has at least ONE trade on it, THEN it will start appearing in the list of market pairs within 24 hours of the order match

correct... no extending, would need to close old order and just create new one with a higher expiration block limit

The dispensers are awesome- but am I correct in assuming swaps done via this method have no impact on the asset price? Like, if you sell 100 NFTS via dispenser, and even if all sell- the XCP/BTC price is "0" UNLESS sold via exchange at some point, yeah?

So- I just about suffered a damn stroke.

I went to list my LEGENDOFPEPE card via freewallet. I decided to use an oracle for the 1st time. I selected BTC-USD , 500.00 (USD) , and paid 0.00005 to expedite transaction.

I immediately went to xchain and about fell out of my chair-- under "unconfirmed" it showed I was selling my card for just 0.0005 ($10). I panicked for about 20 minutes..then when it confirmed it CHANGED to 0.02483979.

I became convinced I misread xchain- until I checked PEPE(WTF) and sure enough: "current floor price 0.0005B ($10)" ??? ** the link provided DOES point to xchain with the correct amount of 0.02483979 BTC shown on xchain...

What might have happened here @jdogresorg ? 🤷🏻 very strange

The btc price on oracled dispensers is not set until the dispenser transaction is mined in a block

So just a display issue with unconfirmed txs…. Once confirmed, all work by as designed

The unconfirmed oracled dispenser uses “mainchainrate” to define the desired usd price 500.00 …. Which shows up as 0.00050000 in the pending tx…. But once confirmed in a block, cp recognizes the dispenser as an oracled dispenser and determines the correct btc amount to charge ppl to get $500.00 and displays that

And…. I can only answer questions about xchain’s data…. If u want to know about the pepe.wtf site, gotta talk to them
