you can verify address ownership, all owned assets are loaded into your account, you can then set "buy it now" prices, or other pricing options.... ppl can send you offers to buy anonymously, you can return to site and reply anonymously... once you guys agree on a sale price, coindaddy escrows the buyer funds until the asset transfer is complete, then releases the funds to seller

the cause of your delay is that Binance is doing UTXO consolidation and they put about 150 blocks worth of transactions into the mempool at 14 sat/byte. Your TX is 12.3 sats/byte, so the backlog of Binance transactions need to be cleared before it gets to yours. -

your best option to get it confirmed sooner is to do a child-pays-for-parent transaction

depends on whether you own 3KvX7PkUP7WKSB3dqEaxSE5pFL7hprVyqe or not. If you do, spending those coins to somewhere else at 20sat/byte will do the trick.
The hard but true answer is the you've gotta learn this stuff, because the people most willing to hand-hold you are going to ask for your keys, tell you the wrong thing to do and give you shit software to steal your money. -

I tend to agree with you... and it is unfortunate that some ppl took advantage of stuffing HTML into the description and made users think that was acceptable behavior.... as the person who runs the block explorer and freewallet, I am responsible for making user users are kept safe to the best of my ability, which does not include loading user-supplied html (could contain javascript that does nefarious things, like steal wallet passphrases, etc).... now that we have CIP25 and a way to specify audio/video/images/html in a standardized format, I did away with the unsafe loading of HTML in descriptions... i've done my best to write code to auto-translate any JSON into CIP25 json to minimize any breakage... but inevitably, some ppls stuff is not gonna display the exact same.

Cancel no, you could resend that same tx with a higher fee if in terms of balance the second will make the first invalid (if there is no balance left for the first one when the second completes)

ASSET.SUBASSET1.SUBASSET2.SUBASSET3.... it may LOOK like there are 3 levels deep of subassets, but in reality it is just a normal subasset with some periods in the subasset name to make it appear as if it is a sub-sub asset

things disappear/reappear in the CP mempool all the time since we are constantly creating/deleting mempool records... so CP mempool and checking if tx exists on xchain mempool is not best method to see if tx exists.

the next freewallet update will work the same as xchain, and support CIP25, as well as disable HTML in the descriptions.... so yay, good news, you can now view NFTs/videos/audio in the wallet in a safe way... bad news, all the people who "hacked" html into their asset descriptions are going to be upset cuz their descriptions are going back to just be text, just like xchain

Also dont think i'll allow running of the html code in freewallet... I think it is probably a bit too unsafe/unwise to allow misc HTML code to run in a wallet software, even if I warn users that the code could be unsafe, running in a wallet is a bit different than running in a block explorer, way more risk in a wallet... so, prolly not gonna support HTML displays in freewallet initially... just CIP25, images/audio/video

as far as the icons go.... icons should be parsed in once every 24 hours on xchain, and xchain is what serves the images out in freewallet.

That does sound beneficial from a security standpoint. I’m not familiar with CIP25 and cloud storage really, was a thinking CIP25 was during asset creation. What would you recommend as far as proper JSON storage / file storage for everything to show in freewallet & xchain correctly, is Arweave a better opinion than easyasset / linking html storage through coindaddy? Both of those have something a little off with them

coindaddy hasn't been udpated to support CIP25 yet, so wouldnt advise using coindaddy 'asset enhancement service' yet until after I get support for the new 'html' field... best to just point your asset at a JSON file and images that you host yourself, or host them somewhere that they will be pretty permanent (arweave, ipfs, etc).... as long as the JSON and images are accessible, things will work fine.

xchain is lagging a bit behind... seems some ppl are beating the shit out of the servers, causing them to run slower and make things parse slower... think it is just about time to implement rate limiting next week.... stop people from abusing the xchain servers and making them slow for everyone else who just wants to use them to view their tx, etc.

prolly some trade bots just consistently beating the hell out of the API... when I was on a single server, preventing this kinda abuse was easier... now running through cloudflare, so gotta setup some rate limits through them.

anyway... growing pains... xchain runs good like 99% of the time... sometimes when ppl abuse the services, or when mempool gets crazy busy, the servers can slow down on parsing... whcih is what we are seeing today... both happening 🙁

json format is pretty easy to code up.... you can verify your JSON is valid at jsonlint.com... it will tell you if anything is off in your json

once you have your json set... I would prolly just create a github repo and throw your image/json in there... github isn't going away anytime soon... but up to you where you store your JSON and image files

Royalties came from newer blockchains, those demanding royalties for work they happily sold prior to that shouldn’t be allowed -
Royalties would be technically easy to implement on dispensers. Require a 2nd BTC output of X% to issuer. Issuer sets X on token creation.
Principallly i am not so sure royalties is a good idea tho. -

I’m pretty sure it sweeps the entire address balance regardless of what’s in it, been awhile since I’ve done it so not sure if there’s been a change.

Correct… moves all balances and/or asset ownership in a single tx…. Otherwise I’d have to do mpma to send balances n 1 issuance per asset…. Sweeps def most cost effective to move all at once

I keep receiving "Error while trying to broadcast issuance transaction" while trying to create/edit assets. Is this common? I assume that I should just wait it out.

Made a sell order and matched with an order that’s from 2months ago and it had 30+ matches ALL but one got expired

Thing is the order that get all matches expired has the highest price

So even if you sell for a lower price you’ll get matched with this annoying order

What’s the solution to this

The problem is that the BTC BUYER (person buying with BTC) has to use freewallet.io desktop wallet AND enable auto-btcpay AND leave their wallet open to detect any order matches and then send the BTC payment within 20 blocks.

If your SELLING something for BTC, you will see a bunch of these "expired" orders or "pending" orders... that is where the order has matched, but the system is waiting for the BTC buyer to send the BTC payment

if after 20 blocks, the btc buyer doesn't send the btcpay to pay for the order match, then the order match expires and tokens are back in the order ready to match with the next potential buyer

TLDR... if you want to sell something for BTC, use a dispenser (vending machine)

you setup a vending machine, put tokens in, say how much BTC you want per token... then forget about it.... ppl buy from your dispenser, send you BTC payments and the dispenesr sends them back a token

much easier than using BTC on the DEX (btc can't be escrowed by the DEX, hence why it requires multiple txs to use BTC on the dex... less than ideal... which is why dispensers were created.

not at this time... freewallet-mobile will not be updated... I do plan to spend some time this next year focusing on adapting freewallet-desktop into a browser-based version that will run on mobile devices.... but, only if I get funded to continue working on CP next year... which isn't looking real good... only 10% funded 🙁

What I think would help is charity auctions..... where ppl throw in a bunch of misc tokens / NFTs into an address and donate them... then have someone auction off that lot and donate the funds.... seemed to work pretty well last year... tho was a bull market 😛

I think we still have more FTX fallout that is yet to be revealed.... still waiting to see if GBTC gonna flip/fail.... also, still waiting on ETH to dip below $1000 where auto-liqudidations on ETH start to happen..... lots of stuff still up in the air.... considering I think the market is holding up pretty well... going sideways at 15-16K.... could be lower

yes.... we eat our own lunch with the DEX and Dispensers... dont really "NEED" any CEX.... but unfortuantely many of the masses still only pay attention to marketcap of a coin, not what it actually does, usage, community, etc.

XCP is a unique utility coin (only used in asset registrations, dividends, sweeps, etc), so there is never going to really be any substantial demand for XCP unless usage grows.... XCP is also the native token on the DEX, so that adds some value to XCP as well... but, as you can use the entire platform without ever owning any XCP, its in a weird spot.
