They generally need better marketing strategy, I asked the dev the other day why XCP wont be listed at the new Korean-Bittrex exchange, Upbit, and he had no idea
-
Please make your suggestions to @ShawnLeary and @GoodGatsby as they handle the twitter account.
-
whats wrong with RTs?
-
Also... don't read to much into devs not keeping up on every new exchange... many are too busy working on improvements to CP and don't spend their time trying to get CP listed on every exchange.... that is kinda the users job to request the coin get listed... not the platforms job to pump.
-
For the first few years CP approached every new exchange and 99.9% of them wanted free XCP in order to list... since CP is a community project with a honest burn, we don't have a big stack of XCP to pay exchanges to get listed (nor should we)
-
-
Thanks for letting us know though Upbit is a Bittrex project based in Korea and we all know how much volume Korea has... it was a surprise for the traders to list ALL trex coins but xcp
-
With no volume theres no point keeping up with any kind of project imagine that Bittrex usually delists coins under 18btc of constant volume
-
1 or 2 retweets per week might be fine. But only if they are regarding XCP or Assets

-
On the other hand, retweeting this is nonsense
-
thanks, will do.
-
XCP twitter profile is not a news magazine
-
Yea sometimes I forget which twitter account i'm in
-
oh that makes sense
-
that's stuff a private profile would retweet
-
Not an official one
-
I hope I didn't offend anyone, because It might've sound a litte bit upfront
-
But this is a community project and I felt free to express my opinion
-
You should always feel welcome to share your opinion, even if it does offend others.... it is how we get the pulse of the community. So, dont sweat it... thx for the feedback 🙂
-
Thanks @mariinmariin definitely taken this on board :)
-
another argument: they retweeted a tweet with my handle which is super great for everyone also you guys should follow me @jeffthedunker

Hey guys. Writing to let you know that I think XCP is amazing technology and I appreciate all of your hard work. Haters gonna hate.
-
absolutely all comments welcomed. maybe you can run our twitter for us :)

Nobody is hating here, we are just expressing our opinions. And yes, the project is amazing.

hope you go bankrupt ❤

Lets hope XCP wont get tanked after BTC futures in a few hours
-
-
i really hope they short btc and it fails
-
Then alts are rekt
-
-
-
When will XCP be moved off the btc blockchain? The tx fees are ridiculous!
-
huh

my eth token transaction took 10 hours to complete i was pissed

lets move it on the paypal blockchain instead of eth

someone shilled their binance referral link message got removed tho

From what I expierenced tonight in my inbox I have a good clue why now

I work with Noone Society and the bias the community has toward my community it's no wonder our community is being treated the way it is

we're just notice a inate bias

we intoduce our project bring in a new CIP. We created this article for presentation to interested parties in the counterparty and to bring in the commerical present our community needs but there seems to be contridictory biasness. The article was to lay out our intentions to start a CIP on Counterparty talk forum before we go into full scale development. Just saying if we want other to be non-bias to us we must do the same in the community we can be much stronger

we got told were spaming for sharing this in the new projects section which I taught was for us as a community to discuss ideas such as this one presented here?
-
-
-
Is there any code being developed yet?
-
There’s a couple of ppl who do but you’re best to check the guides on the website and ask in the slack before here.
-
-
yes we are working on it now
-
most of us are just learning so it tough but we are progressing lol
-
we have been working on setting up our node first
-
Counterpartytalk i think is best for qs. Or slack. Someone will probably answer here but you’ll get a better response there
-
I’m sure some ppl will be interested if some code implementations look promising.
-
There’s a lot of spam in these channels. And i must say that your project does look similar to some of the spammy things. I think it’s just the exotic names for things. Nibiru, HIM etc.
-
Where are you guys based?
-
Also NOMNI sounds dodgy because there’s a platform called OMNI that competes with XCP. And there’s loads of copycat tokens on XCP. So NOMNI looks like a copycat token.
-
dude what the fuck is this shit? Just ready through your Steemit post. Why would anyone back a CIP that makes you central banker of monopoly money supply? lol
-
also your websites linked are inactive
-
and what community? 4 addresses hold over 96% of monopoly money supply
-
also whats with the stock photo charts and completely unrelated bitpay image?
-
What projects are on omni besides maidsafe
-
I dont get why XCP is so undervalued
-
Like ppl havent noticed
-
In due time. Bring btc trading on dex back
-
Lol. USDT? Such bull crap. You call omni competition. I wonder if i still have an omni wallet. I better check. I might i have some free btc forks.
-
Yeah pretty sure onmi isn’t being actively developed. So yeah, no competition in that sense.
-
Lol. Wtf Omni overpriced with no active development and scammy USDT project, but MAIDSAFE is ok. Counterparty under priced with active development and many thriving projects. Hmmmm.... = Cheap XCP for now.

Lately I got hacked about $80k through coinpouch a mobile wallet advertised as ‘we dont hold your private keys’ backed up by the coin itself. My question is, is FreeWallet safe to store my Xcp?
-

i use freewallet JDog's mobile app everyday
-
never keep large amounts anywhere but in paper wallets or hardware wallets
-
You obvisously can't read! There is decentralized banks now sorry you late! lol
-
We issued nomni before we even heard of OMNI lol
-
We are all over www.nibirupool.com
-
we have our own brand lol no copy cats here lol
-
This is what every one is doing if you have look around yet owning their own assets so if we intergrate banking system to be swap with counterparty tokens what wrong with that? Plus you just show you dead bent on misunderstanding whats presented this is the bias we spoke on
-
Stop blaming your misunderstanding on the article the article explains contextually all the way through whats is needed and not all links works on the site like what excuse is that? lol Most of this stuff is in deveolpment stages smh lol
-
If everyone you encounter seems to have a "misunderstanding" of what your project is, and come away with the impression that your project is scammy/questionable..... the maybe... just MAYBE you might want to consider the fact that it might be how your presenting yourself and your project, and not everyone else who has the problem.
-
The counterparty community is learning how this works but with just like here everyone needs help learning this! Like I can help you read in proper context. It will help you give some real constructive feedback lol
-
this is not everyone you stated that
-
nathan didn't have a complaint
-
This is is the behavior of the biasness coming from certain individuals
-
ok... you must be right, your project is awesome and everyone who doesn't understand it and agree with it must be dumb.
-
No I didn't say that either your words
-
you like projecting things on to others and things they didn't say
-
the biasness is that your putting out content that looks scammy... then stomping your feet and screaming whenever people point out that your not doing things correctly and that your project looks questionable
-
thats what we were saying from jump
-
Key words "LOOK SPAMMY"
-
I am going to stop engaging with you at this time, as I feel we will just continue to go in circles... Good luck with your project.
-
You saying it looks
-
Please do you have no been constructive but bias
-
Like there is a definition of spam lol
-
smh
-
being questionable is not problem
-
but we can tell when people are being rude etc etc it's easy to read
-
-
we have no problem explaining anything
-
or clearing up misunderstanding
-
Yes so Like I saying back to the others
-
We didn't even know Omni was a wrong
-
-
-
-
Understand kind of what made us do the article. When we speak with people about it they need something to see. Like a article or a review. So we did one. ..............we were just excited about the things we heard Counterparty can do and choose it as our only platform
-
Your right about that
-
Working on setting things up. We see where we can adapt and how we going to go for it. I seen others in the community mention things about our adaptiblity etc etc.
-
I would like to see an opensource turn-key shopping cart developed and published for individual modification and usage on web servers. Said websites can be set to accept any or specific xcp assets based on the customization.
Such a product would help EVERYONE, but it seems most money/talent involved is worried about helping itself... but that is moreof the human condition suffered by the majority. -
this is what we mentioned in the proprosal but all they see is monopoly money lol
-
we not they the enemy here we not the Rothchilds lol
-
-
-
we can go so much further
-
But we pointed out enough here whats going on lol But that don't stop us from want help everyone
-
I see a few things that will hold you back
-
Your more than welcome to fork off Counterparty and start adding your own features.... that is not what you proposed.... you have proposed that we change the entire Counterparty system to become the "NOMNI" system... which is a ridiculous idea.... it is like trying to sell people on the idea of changing Bitcoin to be Nomicoin because you want it..
-
Explain please Brother Dante?
-
Where does it say we change the how system? please show me
-
ok...
-
why do you keep accusing us of these false things?
-
who are you referring to?

Ummmm thats not proof that we claim to want to change counterparty to the Nomni system
-
I can share a article from Rarepepe with Rareparty but that don't mean they changing counterparty to the Rarepepe System lol
-
wow
-
hahahahahahahahahahahahahah
-
you realize that you are free to fork Counterparty and put your brand on it right?
-
yes that why this is funny
-
this is what we saying on the project using the platform of counterparty to create new walelts
-
wallets
-
that is how that reads.... CIP == Counterparty improvement proposal.... your putting forth a CIP... so your proposing to change the entire counterparty system to be some NIBURI reserve system.... THIS is why people think your doing scammy stuff... THIS is why peopel are frustrated with you.... it is awesome that you want to work on counterparty, but you need to take the time to learn how things work and to contribute..... you have in your head for some reason taht you have put forth a valid CIP and that people are out to get you, this is not teh case..... the reality is that your just not taking the time to learn about how to work with the counterparty community.... your putting forth ideas in the wrong way.... your proposing a project, not a CIP.
-
which is clear as day mentioned in the article
-
its say to present a CIP
-
to create one
-
lol
-
no you just reading wrong
-
it's easy to tell whose doing so
-
didn't said it was a valid CIP
-
are you interested in knowing why you are/will receive resistance from the community?
-
the article states that
-
we are this is all we are for to help and be help
-
@jdogresorg why blame someone else for what is misread by the person or individual
-
I don't know who this "we" is. I am speaking to one person, *you*.
-
@jdogresorg says clear as day in the article to present a new CIP
-
Not that the article is a CIP lol ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
-
The article is name after the community improvements lol but thats wrong
-

Everyone who working one the nomni and our projects
-
@FloridaBitcoiner
-
If you want to present a CIP, I suggest you take the time to read what the purpose of a CIP is, what should be in a CIP, and how to collect funds for that CIP..... not just get the word "CIP" in your head and do whatever you would like.
-
-
and now... back to coding.
-
That is understood you still accussing lol
-
don't change the fact you did that lol
-
We know how to present a real CIP
-
thats was to invite for brainstorming like in the slack group
-
but I see that not allowed here for us to really interact and work together as you would say?
-
You did numberous of things on the rules that are not allowed to us
-
oh you do? where is your rationale section? where is your implementation section? why is the CIP not in the official repo before tryin to collect funds? these are all things which your doing wrong.... and rather than admit that PERHAPS your in the wrong, your just stomping your feet like a child....... it boils down to this... people see your project as scammy... you can fix your problem and try to grow your project.... or you can continue to bicker with people in chat rooms about how it is THEIR fault that they don't understand your project, and see how far you get with that
-
with the bianess and I can give real substantial proof for that
-
I have nothing against you personally.... my only issue is your refusal to use approved CIP processed for submitting a CIP, and then trying to collect funds for the CIP under the guise that it is official.
-
where is your rationale section? where is your implementation section? ........ once again this is not counterparty talk forum post for the CIP
-
-
-
I can share something some said from slack yesterday
-
-
They gave ideas
-
you just bashing from your opinion
-
it's clear as day
-
He tried to say what you was projecting to everyone
-
but I mentioned to him that was the point of the post
-
not what Jdog was trying accuse of us
-
-
@ELChicano_libre please chillax

CIP Proposal - Decentralized Asset Sales
This thread is about a potential CIP that would allow for asset names to be bought and sold on a “decentralized marketplace”, much like how orders are matched on the “decentralized exchange”. I think this CIP could dovetail nicely with CIP 3 (discussion), but neither are dependent on each other. CIP 3 specifies that… If the asset owner holds the entire supply and the asset is not locked, then allow the owner to reset the supply (e.g. set the supply at zero) and change the divisibility status...

And soon freewallet will support ledger nano s

I was always afraid of how safe is FreeWallet not even a password to open it

And hard interface

what do you mean not a password to open it?
-
mobile wallet has pin and thumbprint security
-
desktop has a password you can put on it
-
You can open freewallet and view your balances without the need to unlock your wallet... just like standard wallets... bitcoin GUI doesn't open and force you to unlock your wallet, it lets you view your balances and only prompts you for a password when one is needed

backbone of XCP
-
Is it possible to make XCP it's own coin amd move it off the BTC blockchain?
-
yes
-
What are your thoughts about moving the token to another blockchain @droplister
-
Then I think it should happen. The BTC fees are ridiculous and they'll scare away newcomers.
-
It's also harder to buy and sell a lot with the pesky fees getting in the way. I just want to make a profit...
-
Would you be in favor/supporting of a complete move off of BTC to say LTC or BCash or Dash etc?
-
yea got that man
-
i'm talking about the ppl the projects the energy the funds
-
moving to another chain?
-
Yeah, moving to another chain would be good since the fees are made more expensive with BTC mooning. We should move to Dogecoin blockchain. It's cheap and really accessible.
-
Do you think Counterparty can still be a success or attract new projects with current fees?
-
Not seeing a ton of projects lining up at your doorstep
-
But none of the wallets are working and it's practically abandoned.
-
How many projects have we attracted in the last six months while bitcoin was succeeding?
-
Is there anyway we can get rid of having to pay fees?
-
Is there anyway we can get rid of having to pay BTC fees? I think that's what's crippling our popularity.
-
But the BTC faucets are paying less now...
-
we are paying a dev currently
-
@ShawnLeary, what do you think of all this? I think zero or reduced fees is the way to go. You'll get more people developing and buying. Also, tipping and OTC trades will be easier. The demand will go up...
-
so where are the devs lining up to help
-
everything is succeeding we are on Core
-
Who are our devs?
-
projects and devs lining up
-
Why?
-
who is the one name calling dan?

you have it all figured out
-
sorry, you still haven't answered my question about the litany of projects and devs lining up to join us.
-
how many asset names have you sold this year?
-
All the new ideas are taking forever.
-
How upstanding of you to report the security issue rather than keep it to yourself and risk the security of all on Counterparty..... How noble of you... your truly interested in CPs success aren't you?
-
and.. for the record.. no one is forking CP away from BTC..... you were simply asked a question about your views on a possible fork on another chain.... that is all... so no need for the slew of insults you continue to throw
-
Ahh.... instead of just submitting a bug report in the requested way...

I have some ideas.
ISSUES:
1. The question about fees is totally legitimate. It literally cripples projects like rarepepe.
2. There's some +400 people here, 1500 in pepechat. The question of what Counterparty are going to do about fees come up v regularly. I'd say maybe only 3-4 people here technically understand Counterparty. Most don't want to join slack or cpt because of lack of technical knowhow. Most really want Counterparty to succeed. These are also people who often donate to counterparty dev.
3. There are obviously some major improvements being made that particularly concern most Telegram users.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
Have a stock response that you can paste in every time someone asks. 3 sentences. "There are no current plans to move Counterparty to another chain. Although fees are high we plan to mitigate those fees with further innovative development rather than move chains. If you wish to see the technical proposals go here: *CIP link*"
If there is someone delegated to deal with community management then this should be something they can take care of when possible -
At the moment we have Jdog and a couple of others constantly fielding q's like this. Understandably annoying. And then when someone comes in here calling people an idiot for asking it shows a lack of understanding of the community and also undoes the work of people like Jdog who actually respond to those q's respectfully. Shawn is also a major part of the community here, possibly one of the most active people, and if even he is asking about the possibility of moving chain then that should give you some idea of what everyone else is thinking.
In addition, when we hear about something like Johns chain agnosticity proposal, and that proposal is put on hold as not a priority then you have 100s of people wondering why. -
an inside joke on the hidden agenda channel....

thanks for reviewing my words :)
-
is there no developer of counterparty in this chat room?
-
If your would like to speak with a developer about technical issues or questions, please join the counterparty slack at slack.counterparty.io and join the #dev or #support channels.
-
thank you. i will check it.
-
I live for the day $XCP hits 0.01 Im gonna buy you all lambo
-
Ok no more speculation 🙏🏻 😂
-
This is more like a non-technical community discussion room. Occasionally devs pop in but official tech talk should go through the proper channels and you should seek your answer in the faqs and guides first.
-
Or yeah, what jdog said 😂

don't need no ICO spammers round these parts 🙂

do you have any other pending transactions?

Everything I do, I do it for you.

Yeah... i think the issue with broadcasting the TX is the UTXOs in use in the tx are unknown to xchain (ie, the xchain bitcoin node isn't aware of the other pending transaction yet)

We are all volunteers, can be hard to keep up good spirits when being called names. I like Dan’s passion, i hope he sticks with it but loses some of the cray.

Counterparty Bitcoin is going to have difficulty thriving with such high fees. Our devs are doing everything possible technically to keep the fees as low and tx size as small as possible. I can only trust Devon, Ruben and Johns opinions on if the project will make it. Devon and Ruben aren’t on telegram so they can’t comment in this chat, i encourage everyone to join the slack #dev channel.
-
Wont SegWit in January solve the fees issue?
-
I’m not a coder so i can only trust their opinions. Counterparty needs onchain scaling since we store everything on the bitcoin blockchain. That space is getting more and more expensive.
-
Community director. I help the customers talk to the engineers. I’m a people person.

There were five foundation members elected, i was one of them.
-
We basically are just voting members to control donated funds.
-
100% volunteer.
-
I’ve donated a bitcoin to JDog to help run the servers
-
And donated a bunch of XCP to help fund one of the CIPs, can’t remember which one.
-
Think it was 100 or 150 XCP about half of what was needed to fund the CIP. So i’m a volunteer and a donor
