I am the one that worked with Dex trade to get the market listing set up and get counterparty working with them about 2 1/2 three years ago …. I also had a back room channel with them for a number of years to address any XCP issues…

When I handed off everything to Adam, I tried repeatedly to get him to join the back room channel with DEX-trade, but he refused as he said he felt it was unnecessary…. So I let the dex-trade admin’s know and I left the back room channel.

Funny enough a couple of months ago. A couple community members came to me asking if I had contacts at DEX-Trade because Adam was trying to get in contact with them about upgrading to the latest version of counterparty🤷🏻‍♂️😜

make sure your on the latest version of FreeWallet (2.0.1) and go to settings->Server Settings and click the 'Reset to Default' button... which will reset your server settings to the correct server settings to use "Counterparty 2.0"

MPMA used to be 2 txs and use P2SH and be much cheaper.. now in "Counterparty 2.0" it uses multisig, which is a single tx, but MUCH more expensive (core devs deprecated P2SH encoding)... so, that could be why your having issues, if your using an older version of FreeWallet 🤷️️️️️️👍️️️️️️

I disagree with disabling numerics, but, they should not get any advantage over other assets (named, subassets)... all assets should pay an XCP registration fee.. they were originally intended for people to "try out" the features of CP platform before eventually getting a named assets... it was only after MikeinSpace and Stamps that they became a problem, spamming thousands of assets per block, bloating the database without paying any XCP fee like all other assets were 🤷️️️️️️

I have come to agree with adding a fee to numeric assets, but just because it connects it even more to Bitcoin. XCP is burned BTC. Assets should all be burned XCP then.

And I would keep it simple, same fee as subassets (which are numerical assets). Maybe take the opportunity to reduce the fee for these…

BTNS was an experiment created to show SRC 20 how they could do minting on counterparty if they wanted…. And I never encouraged that kind of degeneracy or told anybody to hurry up and mint anything on BTNS…. It’s been out for a year and I’ve specifically said it was an experiment and I am working on building an entirely separate platform called XChain platform…. Because it makes no sense to have a token platform inside of another token platform, and because it would be abusive to counterparty to continue BTNS on counterparty.

Once again, I’ve done the responsible thing, not push BTNS to degens, and have been focused on taking the BTNS platform multi chain in an entirely separate platform from counterparty.

Yes, if you use dispensers in the new way, which requires three transactions to open and three transactions to close dispensers, seem to work….. though I am hearing multiple complaints of people having problems with using multi dispensers.

However, the core issue here has been that functionality with how dispensers operated was changed without community consensus.

Dispensers do continue to work, they just been made much more difficult to manage and three times more expensive than they were before counterparty 2.0🤷🏻‍♂️

No one wanted a forked ledger or a forked platform, but things were forced in counterparty 2.0, not tested properly, and after many weeks of waiting to find some kind of middle ground, it is clear that the counterparty 2.0 developers are not interested in getting back on a unified ledger, so the most responsible thing to do is add replay protection, so that both platforms can continue on…. Since the counterparty 2.0 developers who created the new software (the fork) refused to add replay protect protection, I will be putting out a version of counterparty classic with replay protection 👍🏻

FYI... testnet continues to choke randomly on reorgs and require restarts (3 restarts in the past 24 hours) on CP 2.0.... CP Classic continues to parse testnet fine without any stops or restarts 🤷️️️️️️
