Mostly just what bitcoind needs. a 2TB drive. If you don't want to run the above commands then just let counterparty manage your bitcoin node and get rid of the one you have
-
the actual docker instructions are super simple, it just takes a while because of bitcoind
-
-
-
yes, otherwise the startup time will be about 24 hours to sync a new bitcoin node
-
-
Yep, then either run the commands I suggested (which should still let you use the docker image) or follow the manual instructions
-
-
-
that should be the default storage location for bitcoind on Linux, so if you know where that is, just use wherever it is on your machine
-
It's just a hack to let you use the docker image. I'm not 100% certain it will work but I think it will based on the directory structure
-
-
-
it's wherever you see your blocks/ directory etc
-
-
-
-
-
perfect - then my guess is try this out:
ln -s /root/bitcoinCore/bitcoinCore/data ~/storage/counterparty-docker-data -
-
yes!
-
sorry i missed the data, it's corrected
-
-
yes, my advice is not under warranty and I haven't tried it myself, but counterparty only interacts with bitcoind through RPC calls so it should be fine
-
-
spent 6hrs on it, u just saved me
-
god
-
finally used my bitcoin node
-
oh awesome, did it work?
-
-
Think so
-
can i have your api?🤪
-
-
hahaha
-
might as wait till the next release. some issues identified in the current version anyway.
-
It sounds like Bill confirmed the commands worked so give it a try and you should be up and running in just a few minutes
-
my freewallet show conterparty API communication error how can i solove it
-
So how many did you mint?
-
i cant see mint supply option on my freewallet
-
maybe i need to update?
-
Release v0.9.36 · jdogresorg/freewallet-desktop
Updates to support Fair Minting
-
-
-
-
if that case, two bitcoin node wil update the same database?
-
i'm not positive how this will work. You can always run off the manual installation instructions. If you're seeing a conflict you can stop the existing bitocind and let the counterparty dockerfile run it
-
⏰ *Counterparty Core v10.5.0-alpha.2* ⏰
This version includes patches for the most recently discovered bugs, and it includes a number of performance enhancements which should help with processing the deluge of mints. Even still, only nodes with fast storage will be able to keep up with the number of Counterparty transactions.

How many FAIRMINT tokens can be minted by a single address at most? And how much BTC can a single address hold at most?
-
Want to mint
-
Ummm
-
Legit?
-
anyway to install counterparty core with my own indexed node ? I am using Umbrel and I already have a node but the installation guide pull out a new node bitcoin installation. Can I just link to my existing one ?
-
Yes, you can follow the manual installation instructions here:
https://docs.counterparty.io/docs/basics/manual-installation/
You can also try and hack together something with the docker core. I'll bump my suggestion from earlier. You'll still need to wait for addrindexrs to catch up and you'll want to make sure only one bitcoind is running off that directory at the same timeManual Installation | CounterpartyCounterparty Core can be installed on most platforms but, for now, manual installation is being tested and is only officially supported on Ubuntu 22.04 and MacOS.
-
??

this. no warranty or guarantee, just a guess from me

very good for them they have a strong community for each other

well, you can use native wallet or bc1q on unisat so why not

but that site is not trusted so better not use, I will suggest to delete that link from here

Removed suspicious link (no author, code unverified)

The wizard @XJA77 has created this website to allow MINTS to be minted without technical knowledge. At the moment, it works with Leather, but they are testing adding more wallets. https://firemints.xyz/ Please review the disclaimer, as, as you know, while the nodes are down, it is not possible to verify the minting status.
-
No limit for the token or BTC. Why would there be a limit? A whale could just use multiple addresses to bypass any imposed limit anyways
-
Also would be good to disclose the minting fee upfront…. Since with typical mints, you’re not paying a service fee you’re just paying the miners fee.
-
check the button of the site in red!
-
yes sir there is 2$ (3000sats) fee
-
-
-
-
will you enable minting other fairmint tokens ?
-
yes sir, but i need the api

my node crashed a few hours ago after holding all day lol

did you update to 10.5? alpha?

once CP API catches back up.. i'll roll data back on tokenscan.io to 866000 n make sure my data matches the official CP database... think might be some differences due to the CP 10.5 rollback/reparse... but not rolling back tokenscan.io right now, as it would take data back to a few days ago, and confuse ppl even more
-
we think so

it was 70% 20 blocks ago

but with an average of 2k mints from the last blocks until were we have some info

so should be over

don´t think so

how much one?

makes sense... pass the word that its "over" so the chinese degens dont keep spamming as they wake up.... give CP nodes a chance to catch up and let the dust settle n see whats what

🌲 *Counterparty Core v10.5.0-alpha.3* 🌲
This version includes a major performance optimization for handling wild numbers of fair mints. Every node should be able to keep up now. :)
We also fixed bugs with /blocks/last, log rotation, --force and --no-mempool, plus we sped up API DB rebuilds by about 10x.
https://api.counterparty.io:4000 is now back up and serving requests performantly. We've also disabled handling requests to construct fairmint transactions there—it's a very heavy operation, so you want to do that, run your own node.

yes really annoying...
-
yeah I can imagine if you're starting from 866000 that will take a bit of time, there was an enormous amount of transactions but compared with yesterday I was getting like 3 txes a second and now each tx isn't taking more than like a few milliseconds as far as I can tell

You can always remove your counterparty.db and force it to bootstrap again if you dont want to wait for a reparse
-
yes thats an option too but my main problem is the zmq thing
-
I'm not familiar with that
