look @teysol the one dream you were too proud to share with the world has come true: you're an NFT.

My wallet coming out on February 20th to play
store and appstore. -
Looking for partners 🙈🙈🙈
-
Artists and auction houses.
-
@Jpcryptos neat! Could you perhaps provide a bit more context?
-
It is a multiwallet focused on privacy, and easy to use. I am looking for strategic partners, experts in memes and shitposters who want to auction their assets in the app....
-
open source?
-
Sorry, I'm not a marketing guy. It is the best description of the app.
-
Nope.
-
-
but I plan to make the source code public under copyright and not distribution licenses. so everyone can see that the code is secure
-
That's what a communist would say.
-
You can use monero to buy memes also.
-
Looks awesome congrats
-
@mikeinspace we use vWap, the volume, price and number of trades to deduce the marketcap
-
@Jpcryptos awesome! yeah, I expect you will meet some friction around open-sourcing. the copyright model you mentioned is a option and assuming it does all the important stuff client-side people also open source that code and keep the server code closed source.
-
unfortunately surveillance-based business models that have predominated over the last ~20 years, in which products are indirectly monetized through targeted ads, have made people forget that things cost money...
-
Open source is an option, but not at this time.will surely make some tools open source.
-
Blockvault.ai soon
-
Blockvault is the name of the wallet

dot ai is just for raising funds.

Until back end dev runs off with your keys cause software is not open source
-
@Jpcryptos is there a plan to FOSS the wallet?
-
-
yeah no doubt - seems silly to even propose it.

All your pepe ARE belong to us!!!

Sure
Step 1 - enter keys into random wallet you cannot confirm code base.
Step 2 - back end code stores your key
Step 3 - Rug your wallet gets drained -

I rely on the advice of those that know how to check the code / I sure as hell don't.

Open source with GPL licenses MIT means you can fork and create your own version. or contribute to the project.
Blockvault will be public source( that mean you can just see the codes ). but you will not be able to fork and create your own version. If you do, you will be sued for forking licensed software. -
yep this is normal
-
not all OSS is FOSS
-
as an end-user what you care about is auditability; there are licenses that provide that while giving the creator IP protection.
-
We will surely hire an external company to audit the code.
-
sorry by auditability I just mean the ability to audit the code oneself (not that anybody does lol)

-
Any other wallets that I can get XCP other than free wallet or counterparty wallet??
-
Any self-hosted btc wallet would actually work (eg Electrum, BlueWallet or even Unisat), but they won’t display your XCP balance
-
But you can check address balances on xcp.dev or xchain.io
-
Best way to diamond hand if you can't see or sell your tokens with the wallet
-
Also, be sure to use either a legacy address (prefix 1) or native segwit (prefix bc1q)
Taproot addresses (bc1p) aren’t fully supported yet -
So a watch only wallet created with a seed signer on blue wallet would work?
- 28 January 2024 (40 messages)
-
I would definitely lean towards using a BIP-39 style seed because that is what most xcp wallets support at the moment
-
-
Receive only. To sell or send, an XCP aware wallet will be needed (Freewallet.io being the most popular one)
-
Hey frens, I need your help if someone knows
Am trying two days now to send some cards from my main addy 14VhF5JGExMn4qkN2RiMqNvCwpqmFvbQaz
I always took the message that second transaction can't be completed but my balance has been reduced a little
I noticed that some amount (probably the fees} went to an addy 3K6eAA4RnoHxcvtqvpWUtvrgBqh3nrdhdV
though the tx had never been completed. I don't really know what to do and I need to send the cards. -
-
The fees should be refunded and cards, you just need to give it time (24hrs) ..
-
I also had same issue few days back and that's what I did..
-
Thank you so much for your reply. But the cards never left my wallet. The message was that the second transaction was canceled...And my problem is not the fees, is that I can't complete the transaction no matter how many times I tried....
-
I think that's because it needs to be moderated first(all d fees must be reversed) before you can make any more transactions, the more you force it the longer it takes to be moderated...
-
ok, I will wait....thank you so much for your help🙏
-
You're welcome.
-
Heўа, bold navigators!
-
I do not think those fees will be coming back. I had 5 failed multi sends last week. Always got an error message on the the second tx.
Do you happen to have a hardware wallet address imported into your freewallet?
@davesta pointed me to a known issue with that.
I had one such address and yesterday I right clicked and removed it.
After that I was able to do a successful multisend. But I did increase the fee above the suggested amount so that it wouldn’t get stuck for a long time -
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. I have no Idea what hardware wallet is so I don't think that I have any addy imported in my freewallet. Is there any way to recognise such an addy?
I don't really care about the fees. I Do need to send cards and I can't...Yes, I usually increase the fees too, coz it happened to me in the past to wait 3 weeks for a tx to be completed 😭 -
But I use some other wallet such us electrum and I have imported there some of my freewallet addys. Do you think that it is related?
-
importing your wallet into Electrum would not be related at all - there have been a few reports about issues with Multi-Send, but it depends on what version you are using... we discuss Freewallet issues in this TG chat:
https://t.me/freewallet_io
and some of the Multi-Send issues are published in the Github here:

Oh thank you so much. Just joined and I ll do my research. Am grateful!

If I import my wallet to this one is it same and safe
-
Yeah I can't too

@nola1978

Recent protocol upgrade (delayed dispenser closings) apparently broke it.

Aha i see , so i can use next one EVERDREAMsoft
-
Only the Testnet appears to be up based on the screenshot
-
I don't think you can use counterwallet on mainnet at all right now
-
Nice appreciate your help
-
Yeah right
-
I have src-20 in it , What alternative wallet can I used with seed phrase of counterparty mainnet
I tried freewallet but it not supported the segwit address -
oh well, I still can't post links in this room: thestampwallet dot com
-
That develop by Steve 🤝 ill try it thanks 🙏
-
Should be OK now - can you try again?
-
-
Didn't work unfortunately, i have a question maybe it's silly a bit,,, is counterparty used seed phrase out of regular 2048 famous seed , bc i have two words out of it 🤦🏻
-
counterparty doesn't use standard bip39 seed phrase (or at least freewallet doesn't)
-
this isn't a counterparty thing, wallet-specific.
-
you should be able to import individual private keys. Ninja wallet will allow you to import the seed directly
-
Aha i see , Ok I'll try it
-
It's worked with imported private key to unisat 🫶
- 29 January 2024 (61 messages)
-
you can import into freewallet with bip39 seed....
or choose to create one with bip39
but yes Counterwallet used a different seed library -
-
@VladdyC as described here there is a chat specifically for freewallet issues, depends on how the error looks but we discuss all of them in there
-
-
The problem with freewallet is native segwit address
-
you mean Counterwallet?
-
Yes if I import seed to freewallet
-
-
if you import by 12 word seed it's the same wallet
-
-
Yes that can work ty for reminding
-
-
-
I'd would most likely leave them how they are unless you know exactly how to point to another API or CP host.... since xcp.dev and the xcp team is looking forward to developing a new API and other things I would most likely leave it how it is until they are finished building.... but again - this is a topic for that chat - its not a 'general' counterparty topic and many users here prefer troubleshooting wallet specific questions should be done in their own chats (especially when they begin to get specific and into longer discussions)
-
thats a bitcoin thing not a counterparty thing
-
Ok i see 👍 , everyday learning new things 🫡
-
While an API is being built there is no guarantee it will be compatible with Freewallet, for the record.
-
Hi does anyone know why a normal send of btc looks like this for me?
-
also fees are quite low atm but it cost like $20 and it only says 44vb and only over paying by 23%
-
-
it has to do with how many inputs were on your address - this article should give you a good understanding of why it cost so much and still the sat/vB was not enough:
https://medium.com/@davesta.xcp/understanding-btc-fees-and-utxos-when-using-counterparty-ae22f40b642aUnderstanding BTC fees and UTXO’s when using CounterpartyBitcoin transaction fees (sometimes abbreviated to ‘BTC tx fees’) allow users to prioritize their transactions over other users to be…
-
Thank you 🤝
-
Just read all the information, I understand about sending all my btc to myself but electrum constantly fails to sync 100% and then just comes up not responding like its times out after a certain amount of time.
-
🐸 RAREPEPE listed for 3.99 BTC ($168,032.27) 🐸
-
Any idea why counterparty was left behind? :( https://x.com/okx/status/1751978381208699258?s=46&t=w3QZG4HjOZimmz3rzcj8Kw
-
In there in particular cause is the group of onchain/inscriptions assets
-
-
but all the integrations for stamps definitely puts the integration of the rest of the assets nearer
-
-
-
What's being supported, afaict, is SRC-20. SRC-20 is designed to replicate BRC-20 in most ways, making integration easy. There is also an available API as well as an Indexer which the exchange is free to run. I don't think Counterparty offers any of this, in fact, supporting Counterparty often requires maintaining a full stack (including Counterparty node). It's a heavy lift for a low-volume protocol.
-
>> Any idea why counterparty was left behind?
How many calls have been made on behalf of Counterparty with various exchanges? We've spent many months talking with many exchanges. These things don't just happen on their own. -
there are at least hundreds, if not thousands of counterparty transactions every day. infrastructure needs work for sure but enough with the innuendo please
-
Most of those txns, most days, are Stamps traffic for the record
-
and?
-
Just a statement of fact. Not sure what you mean by innuendo.
-
basement.
-
People ask, "why not counterparty?" and I'm giving them the answer: these things don't just happen on their own. We've worked directly with exchanges to ensure the tooling works for them.
-
Absolutely. What I mean is that use vs infrastructure is a chicken-egg problem which other projects get around by doing token offerings. I understand that 'bitcoin-maximalists' are happy to have found a way to square the circle and mint jpegs without a 'shitcoin', but it's easy to monetize the application layer; hard to monetize the protocol.
-
That's fair.
-
even for something as big as bitcoin, dev is basically subsidized by loss-leading companies.
-
This is all orthogonal to my comments. Totally agree there is a tragedy of the commons related to protocol development. I was answering a direct question (which I get a lot) with an actionable solution, if anyone cares to pursue it.
-
Yeah, I respect how much initiative the Stamps community has taken.
-
Sets a good example which I hope is followed.
-
Honestly, its not even that hard, every exchange has people to deal with this stuff. You contact them and set-up a meeting in their web calendar.
-
Yeah seems Counterparty needs to set up a marketing department
-
a marketing *department* is part of a company, which Counterparty is not.
-
What is needed is a community-driven initiative to help achieve specific outcomes.
-
Patience...lots of work
-
-
-
_anyone_ can do it, is Mike's point.
-
@mikeinspace I'm definitely interested in doing what I can to support this kind of thing
-
Well I think my good looks and charisma played a part too 😜
-
Hahaha
-
lol. You obviously get it but for others who are building on Counterparty Stamps is a pretty good example of a solid give-and-take: they've got their own project-specific priorities, but contribute a lot of tooling and dev to the protocol, too. This is the model that historically worked pretty well for Web protocols e.g., and works pretty well for Bitcoin, too. There's no reason we can't have this sort of thing help push Counterparty forward.
-
But it _does_ require independent initiative. If the community only has a nominal interest in decentralization then necesarily it cannot work.
-
Why the _ is there s hidden message?
-
Need to find out and minting
-
Then i get rich

Hi, all, we published this as a private link on the website because, given the relatively small size of the donation sought, we didn't think it would be necessary to do a whole campaign. Having said that, donations from the community are of course welcome. Thanks!
-
Hopefully donations will exceed expectations —- it would be fun to have a counter of some kind to show cumulative donations.
-
that counter is called the blockchain lol
-
-
Is there a website/formula for calculating tx fee for a quick send of BTC or XCP? Freewallet estimates sometimes result in very long waits for confirmation.
-
Embarrassing question, but how many inputs and outputs in a BTC or XCP send tx for calculating tx fees?
https://btc.network/estimateBitcoin Fee Calculator & Estimator - BTC & USD - Segwit SupportThe MOST convenient Bitcoin Fee Calculator! Estimate the fee required to have your Bitcoin transaction mined as soon as possible - Segwit Support - Realtime Data
-
Just fyi, I tried to send 20 xcp to that donation address with rarepepewallet wtf, and it truncated the address
-
So now there's 20.3 less xcp in existence
-
-
I've never used rarepepewallet, but why would it change the address? Perhaps someone here knows how to recover the XCP?
The fundraiser announcement appears to be asking for BTC, so I imagine it would be ideal to send BTC rather than other coins/tokens.
https://counterparty.io/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Counterparty-Dev-Fundraiser-Announcement.pdf -
It's possible that I made a mistake, but I don't think so
-
The multisig addresses seem to be a lot longer and that might have confused rpw
-
In that case there's no way of recovering it, other that brute force
-
I was thinking it’d be nice to open up an XCP dispenser at the address. I almost did it with 100, but I thought I’d run the idea by everyone in here.
-
The multisig address uses P2WSH format. I am not sure if RPW accepts that.
Very much appreciate that you want to donate. I will say that we are only looking for BTC this donation round, and I believe neither RPW nor Freewallet supports P2SWH address format. For anyone who wants to donate, you can send from Electrum. -
So opening a dispenser at that address might be problematic too then
-
Appreciate the thought but it sounds like it. Unfortunately, software like Electrum does not allow you to construct a legacy format multisig wallet AFAICT
-
I will do some digging. The address format should not be the long pole in the tent. Thank you.
-
Turn it into a dispenser and it will get much faster uptake. People get some token memento.
-
Hmmm… why tho?
-
We’ve seen people open dispensers on exchange accounts. I don’t think the cp protocol cares. Could be wrong
-
Mainly because it’d be difficult to send from a Counterparty aware wallet
-
It’s not taproot
-
Seems like it’s too long for rpw. I haven’t tried sending from fw
-
we are explicitly not giving anything in exchange. there's > $1B of value on the counterparty network. if the community cannot donate low single digit percents of 1% of the value to put out fires to help retain that value without a quid pro quo, then the software, which indeed is in urgent need of attention, is actually not the problem.
-
Oh RPW specifically? Ok got you
-
Sure run it how you like. I didn’t mean something “valuable” more like a memento that wouldn’t cost anything really.
-
Like a blackbox ;)
-
Right
-
But I can understand there not needing to be that in principle. The value is the code improvement
-
history shows that if anything can be monetized, it will be. indeed, testnet BTC from time-to-time get a dollar value lol. It's important that for such a relatively small sum the community not need to receive anything tangible in return.
-
-
-
yeah, we're updating the address shortly 🙂
-
sorry about that!
-
bad error check in rpw, didnt anticipate someone sending assets to a P2WSH address since counterparty doesnt currently support them and they arent widely used
-
just updated rpw to prevent that from happening again
-
Historically, $30k is a big ask for CP in such a short amount of time.
Yes, Jdog once raised $500k but we were in a raging bull market for CP assets.
This is why I believe a higher XCP price would help the community greatly -
Again, there's over $1B of value on the network. While I understand that people want a higher XCP price, some members of the community seem quite insistent that Counterparty should be decoupled from XCP, and therefore the latter's price should have no bearing on their decision to support the network.
Regardless, it is not protocol developers' job to make XCP increase in value, and if the community's support is dependent on that, then, again, the state of software, which is indeed very bad, is not the problem.
We are talking about .01-.05% of the value of the network. -
I don't think it's necessary to discuss this at length. As I said earlier our intention was not to broadcast this donation over Telegram. I only brought it up because someone managed to find the private URL.
But what I've said up to this point still stands. -
FYI to everyone, there is no official counterparty support
-
-
Appreciate the effort! As I said, this is a community problem. If people aren't willing to donate 1% of the money they'd put toward a copyable image of an ape or a dickbutt to support the network on which the latter lives, then, once again, the software is no longer the problem.
-
Very little context that I could see. I think people conflate xchain with counterparty and some people are still quite sour over what's transpired recently. I'm going to post something in the channel to clear things up and encourage donations
-
-
Is there a new donation address/page? I should probably hold off until I have the address
-
We're working on it.😁Adam, @rarepepetrader and @Niftyboss1 are in difficult-to-reconcile timezones. Should have a new address ready by late afternoon/early evening.
-
Hello, I’m getting this error while doing a simple tx. Anyone knows why?
-
once we have a new address i was thinking of entering every address that donates a certain minimum amount into a drawing for a HAIRPEPE
-
Great idea 👍👍
-
hey there, I am not able to send XCP assets, getting stuck on "Broadcasting counterparty transaction". anyone else? : o

Donated some sats for stamps , that worked thou +)

Using FreeWallet?
If so, I'd suggest asking for help in the FreeWallet support chat: -

Some sort of incentivization/reward/honor for donors would be a good idea.

Raffle idea is cool

I think you guys are overlooking the original point. The community should want to contribute for the sake of having a working protocol

Posted in the Stamps chat.
-
As some may be aware, Counterparty founders have recently returned and are working hard to improve the codebase which has been neglected for many years. Improvements to the Counterparty protocol also have downstream effects for Bitcoin Stamps which would be positive.
With an awareness of some of the bitterness that exists between the 2 communities, it’s important to understand that 3rd party explorer/wallets (xchain/freewallet) are NOT the same as the protocol itself and there should be no ill will held towards Counterparty in general. Bitcoin Stamps ARE Counterparty.
With that said, I encourage anyone who would like to donate, to do so at the address attached. Funds are being overseen by Counterparty founders and others they trust within a multisig and will go towards improving the protocol which is being held together by duct tape, at the moment. -
Thank you, Mike!
-
All these still active?
-
hope we can get all official twitters and dev accounts to tweet this document/address !
-
Many thanks Mike 🙏
It is my understanding that the codebase improvements that will be made possible by this fundraiser are the first step of a roadmap that will immensely benefit the entire Counterparty ecosystem. -
Will post an updated list in a minute

- The dispensers in this list have been thoroughly verified and can be used with no fear of being scammed.
- As always just let me know me if any questions or issues with these dispensers! -
-
very easy, you can do it from FreeWallet.
just remember to use a new addy for the dispenser. -
-
All, do you know if there is an easy way to check multiple dispenser addresses if they have dispensed or how much has dispensed? rather than needing to do it one by one?
-
stamp ninja shows balance on each dispenser address, you just need to import the pk
-
-
-
Fw is a pain when you have to click on each one
-
yup one by one takes time
-
you meant private key or public key?
-
private key
-
ok, is there a way not using the private key?
-

-
