By burning? Mmmkkk
-
-
-
Stamps are lifting heavily in the CounterParty space.
-
-
Your literally rejecting the growth of development
-
Nah
-
I’m rejecting fake growth
-
-
Major wallets adoption is far from fake growth
-
-
-
To who's timeline
-
Fake growth my ass. You think OKX is fake? They even put me in their video!
https://x.com/mikeinspace/status/1744696450339033462?s=20Mike In Space (@mikeinspace) on XHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
-
-
-
speaking of original intent, that was the exact same argument bitcoin devs made when they tried to ban Counterparty. Jdogparty is in good company.
-
They have full blown trade campaigns for StampChain
-
Selling out to the communists!!!!
-
Was not asked for
-
They adopted
-
Crazy once src20 dropped CounterParty adoption hit....one might take note
-
CounterParty has potential and should not hate on growth
-
Stamps is going to be just fine. Many explorers like Ninja and OpenStamp are humming along with their own explorers/wallets. What everyone should be worried about is the value of their grails and pepes, which are very much tied to the health of Counterparty.
-
We love natural growth
-
-
To whose timeline....
-
-
by the way I have many grails and Pepes. I am not interested in CP turning into a dumpster fire either
-
says the guy that lit the match and threw it in the dumpster
-
-
He brought awareness and growth to the space
-
Embrace and grow what has arrived
-
-
-
Counterparty isn't a dumpster sir
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
To 1 person's opinion
-
-
Xcp.dev isn't bothered
-
Meow
-
lol.. nope its a bathroom apparently... learn to shit in the toilet no the sink bro🤷️️... but, we past all that. Fork will prolly be off soon... progress being made 👍️️️️
-
-
I didn't know its burned for sweeps or dividen
How can I get xcp from buying and holding an asset? First ive heard of this -
Next on the agenda is can we all agree not to shorten it ‘CP’ anymore.
-
-
-
half of xcp is locked up in dormant likely dead wallets for 5 plus years. bringing people to transact on the dex and utilize xcp should be key for any development moving forward. not transacting in vaults and on other platforms
-
ready for fees to go through the roof ?
-
-
-
-
-
Sounds like we need active forum or something again..too many msgs here to keep up lol
-
-
@mikeinspace should be the new lead developer / planner for XCP. We can change the name to PostOffice coin, it's where you get your stamps.
-
Look, 10 years later is it a little strange to see 4chan frogs and 'dickbutts' as Web3's killer app? Sure! But the Stamps guys are doing a pretty similar thing to Counterparty that Counterparty does to Bitcoin.
-
this is independent of whether fees should be added to numeric issuances. they're storing parseable data in the description field of asset issuances. who cares.
-
If stamps and whatever other art projects is bringing traffic to XCP and the dex then i'm all for it - but that doesn't seem to be the case.
-
Our goal as a postoffice coin team moving forward should be to get XCP on more liquid trading exchanges and to get PepeCash to $1.
-
-
the liquid exchange is so we can get some price appreciation and interest in XCP / PO Coin.
-
-
XCP has not been on a major exchange with liquidity since like 2017 or something
-
-
-
dispensers are fine but they primarily use bitcoin not XCP.
-
-
-
the majority of transactions on dispensers are bought using bitcoin
-
-
Dude xcp is the worst part of counterparty, it makes almost zero sense
-
-
yeah disagree with this but it doesn't much matter
-
you cant buy from a dispenser with anything other than bitcoin no matter what token your buying
-
Wut? Counterparty doesn't exist without XCP
-
are you on board with helping steer the ship to new and improved PO Coin?
-
one of the reasons XCP exists because bitcoin doesn't recognize counter party assets. to trade assets on the dex you need a native token and that is XCP. now that there are dispensers there is less leaning on the dex
-
you can sell any token for btc yes that is how dispensers work
-
you all are missing my pt - we need to drive traffic to more use of the dex and XCP and away from BTC and vaulting to other platforms
-
I just mean focus shouldn’t be on xcp as that is the least appealing part of the whole thing. It was needed at the time but mostly isn’t now and is actually what puts people off the whole thing
-
XCP valued at $200 a coin would bring the interest to the platform and encourage more development
-
yea the focus for developers should be tech. XCP's future will be written by the free market
-
i believe the numeric fee debacle was a push to get others to develop tech. the manner with which it was done may not be the best. but the outcome is what's needed
-
Stamps true intention to neuter xcp
-
See you want the market to do one thing but the market do what it do. Stop trying to be smarter than the market. All it does is add friction and drive away traffic. If you’re fine with that, cool.
-
This is also my worry as well
-
This explains everything. Sorry market don’t care.
-
i don't think that message stated what i want the market to do. dont put words in my mouth
-
how does that work
-
Bitcoiners are puritans. They don’t want shitcoins
-
-
did i say otherwise?
-
all this is possible because every single xcp was created by burning btc - you know this
-
-
No one cares. Sorry, they don’t. And I agree my stamps wouldn’t exist
-
-
-
You aren’t selling to bitcoiners lmao
-
-
There are different sects
-
Even they want the “pure bitcoin” meme otherwise they’d just buy ethscriptions
-
-
-
Same
-
-
Its a good target market if your looking for $$$... He is not alone in being interested in this market.
-
why not bring the shitcoiners to XCP though? make them play in our field not theirs.
-
-
Do it! Start a compelling project and get those degens to pump xcp
-
-
Their entire cover story is pure bitcoin ethos but they selling to degens who don’t really care if cp was used
-
hey i dmed you
-
you all have done that with stamps - why not use the dex and XCP to transact?
-
Anyone can use the dex.
-
-
duh - but nobody is doing so
-
-
you have to encourage them and lead them this way
-
I’ve never dissuaded it and frankly it would be cool if explorers incorporated it
-
-
-
everyone here has XCP and rarepepe to some extent - if we bring the degens here and XCP goes up in value, a lot of these disputes likely go away
-
Lol how dare they innovate other markets
-
You’re wrong, it might be a resource thing at the moment but there is no Fatwa against using the dex
-
We've user stamps on dex also...nothing wrong with it. Works nice
-
I've nothing against xcp dex
-
Honestly I’d love to see it
-
Exactly the response I would expect. We don’t have budget for something we don’t use
-
-
-
-
Dude I don’t have employees. I can’t tell volunteers what to work on. I will suggest it though
-
From my perspective, the shitcoiners are here, and counterparty core devs will need to figure it out going forward, if this is a market they want or not...
my objection to numerics (and reason for the fork) is purely from a technical perspective... spamming txs lags xchain, when xchain lags, people lose funds (dispensers that say open when they are closed, etc), my support costs go up (everyone screams for help, etc), and ACTUAL damage is done, as scamming ensues and real funds are lost... XChain lagging comes at a high cost to the community.
Re-read that, XChain lagging costs come at a HIGH cost to the community... ie, people start losing funds!
Some in the community might choose the narrow view that this is just a problem with xchain parsing, however, that is not true, other projects in the space also have problems with this (see earlier tweet from spells of genesis founder). -
The true issue as I see it here is that the counterparty API can not scale to handle tons of queries like xchain can, so community unfairly relies on xchain as a part of its infastructure.
This issue is actively being worked on by many devs (seeing talk, not code yet, but believe they are making real progress, and support it). -
Is spamming numerics a serious issue, which has been ignored for far too long, that it demanded action (a fork)? From my perspective yes, some may not agree.
Is forking the ledger, putting everyone's money at risk, in a high stakes game of chicken, and burning the entire thing to the ground in the process in the best interest of the community? Absolutely not.
I feel we are very close to fork resolution, and it will be resolved in the next 24 hours. -
Exactly why stamps are actually an attack against the token xcp
-
-
I think it’s really dumb that the main issue here is that xcp is now actually popular and that’s come with extra costs
-
the price doesn't reflect this popularity
-
That doesn’t actually mean anything though
-
At least u guys are being upfront about your plan now lol
-
xcp.dev has not flinched even when BTNS blew up xchain

it means everything fren
-
Its was the same Counterparty
-
The value is what’s on the network. Token is irrelevant.
-
the network doesn't exist without the token
-
but network could be having the biggest activity ever (DEX+dispensers) without even touching XCP
-
Exactly why we need the numeric fee structure so you don’t cannibalize our ecosystem like a virus
-
That’s what they want
-
Jeezus
-
-
I think your xcp bags may be a lil heavy and it’s effecting your judgement
-
for the record I have maybe $1K or less in XCP at the moment

-
Ui is simple stuff to correct dev team. But infrastructure comes first.
-
Unfalsifiable claim. How do you know it wouldn’t be worth 3 cents right now without Stamps? Ordinals created an existential threat. I saved xcp
-
exactly - so show some interest in growing and protecting your home. A strong XCP token solves a lot of this
-
What's does xcp token have to do with development of code...
-
Stampchain devs are currently lifting development with zero xcp tokens...
-
it's been worth anywhere from $3-$5 the past several years without stamps
-
The thinking is: people will start getting generous when their bag gets pumped
-
USD pays for servers and overhead
-
Pump my bag and I'll bless you....
-
There was no ordinals
-
nobody wants to work on something that has poor liquidity and low value relatively speaking.
-
Fork over
-
-
-
xchain back up in a bit on 9.61.1... no numerics support at all for now, perhaps in future 🤷️️️️️️
-
the girft no longer works on meth so you brought the clown show here
-
If by clown show you mean active users then yes we been trying to bring them over for years
-
-
-
-
-
-
When cp 9.62?
-
are any of these folks active in this chat? I know Shannon does the vault stuff and Joe maintains RPW.
-
yeah 75% of em
-
dunno... gotta talk to the core devs about what the plans are for their next release...
I know there is a show-stopping bug in CP that I pointed out a few weeks ago.... put up a pull request to fix the issue... having to do with malformed broadcasts... so, hopefully whenever they put out a 9.62.0 release, it includes that critical fix 🤷 -
But, to be clear, I am not a member of the core dev team anymore, and as such, am not able to ACK/NACK and merge changes into the main repo, that power falls solely on the 3 remaining core devs now.
I can no longer participate in determining consensus or what is best for counterparty... I have left that up to the 3 remaining core devs, and I trust their decisions going forward with Counterparty... -
Tho best believe, I'm still here, heavily invested, and gonna do everything (short of a immediately activated hardfork) to guide counterparty in the direction I feel it should go, and I encourage others to do so as well.
-
Getting off telegram now... back later
-
-
Well... I don't live in the chat but I can't say i've seen any of the 3 core guys post here lately, doesn't bode well moving fw. maybe i'm wrong
-
-
-
i linked you to the exact spot of one's posting about an hour ago
-
i'm pretty sure looney is team stamps and been on X berating jdog
-
-
they need to be active here to set tone moving fw
-
Unfortunately, I still have a large amount of assets in XCP, which may cause serious losses
-
did I lose my .1 xcp 😂
-
ok, you tell 'em
-
you never spent it on Counterparty
-
If you made a numeric on .62, it’d be lost, but you’d have you .1 XCP back
-
Mike I know for a fact I would have bought all the XCP at 5 cents!
-
-
-
Will there be any numeric support in Free Wallet or still no? @jdogresorg if not I think it would help heal a lot of bad feeling about the past week if innocent newcomers were given a window of time by you like a week or even just a day to send their numerics/stamps out of their free wallets. They made those wallets whilst under the impression that xchain and FreeWallet fully supported Stamps, because you did initially. They shouldn’t be forced to risk their wallet security by entering their free wallet seed phrase into another wallet etc. just because you have changed your mind on Stamps. What do you say?
-
i'm guessing that while jdog and xchain can help with numeric support that there's more required for a robust fix, including the explorers and wallets being worked on by others
-
(from what i've read) i believe the numerics issue faced by xchain related to scaling / infrastrcutre issues internal to xchain - which might not be jdog's priority to fix
-
Just giving a window of time for people to be able to send their stamps out of free wallet to an alternative wallet shouldn’t cause too much of a burden on the infrastructure surely.
-
It was free 10,000+ mints that cause the infrastructure to struggle
-
i think you can currently send using the stamped.ninja wallet
-
Just seems so harsh punishing innocent people who set up a free wallet in good faith
-
you dont need to send them, just need a wallet that supports them. Which leather does as well (not sure if you can send from leather yet)
-
But you would have to enter your free wallet seed phrase into stamped.ninja wallet, which is terribly security practice. It’s something I never recommend people do. Copying and pasting seed phrases online.
-
this is true. but how is that different than sending your assets to the other wallet
-
in both cases you're finding a new wallet to trust
-
that's the most important
-
I know someone who lost a million dollars plus in bitcoin by entering their seed phrase into a different wallet, cos there was a key logger virus watching them do it etc.
-
You could use multisend on freewallet to send to a new address the assets u don’t want to expose to other wallets
-
yes
-
sweep better
-
definitely a risk.
but if you're ever going to use a new wallet you're going to get a new seedphrase -
or even create a new freewallet
-
(multisend can be a hell of money these days)
-
start a new wallet with this service for sure. this is all private code.
-
Or JDOG could just give everyone 24 hours or something no? Why is that too much to ask? Feels so vindictive.
-
We’re not here to punish newcomers to the chain are we?
-
Anyway I’ve asked the question… up to @jdogresorg
-
can you clarify - unclear if this is sarcasm or i might just not be understanding.
stamped.ninja seems good or not good or unclear?
(i dont have the ability to verify the code - and have not yet set one up myself) - just know it exists -
definitely named asset stamp support very soon! hopefully within a couple days.
-
That’s upto Jdog, for now there are ways around your problem as suggested above, multisend, sweep..
-
seems ok.. it's unknown code, and we don't have the ability to check it. Other options coming! okx, leather are the most likely options at this point.
-
got it.
-
After sweeping he’d still have to use multisend to separate the assets he doesn’t want exposed. Or am I missing something?
-
ah yes, definitely, I was counting in case of moving the whole wallet
-
I see a lot of discussion about numeric assets as if they were synonymous with Stamps, which is not the case. There are many historical numeric assets that are not Stamps, and it seems to me that they are completely forgotten here. We also need a solution for them.
-
probably it's the same solution
-
Correct
-
Most of the stamps teams are not against a xcp fee, more about 1º the frictions it generates if it´s done in XCP. 2º where is that money going. If minting numerics it´s a fee in btc that goes in a high % to support the ecosystem (bounties, pay infrastructure, rewards to nodes even if this is not possible yet, just ideas) and maybe to get everyone happy a small % to burn xcp then everyone might be happy. But it has to be done step by step once most of us are aligned. The 0.5$ in xcp it´s ridiculous regarding to minting pricing so a fee of 2$ in btc for example could help to solve all the above without creating friction to the end users and still serving xcp holders. Just my two cents after reading >1k messages a day across many chats.
-
Honestly I don’t even think you would have to burn it.
But buy it and stockpile it. -

so it's all just pixel art?

nope, but due to the price pixel art is the most used

i'm trying to find the appeal here boys but not seeing it

Cryptopunks were 24x24 pixels also, they are also appreciated for the art beyond other things 🤓

yeah but's not new or anything just same old stuff

I thought it was like new pepe's and stuff

the wallet has a million dollars + of digital assets in it, so I don’t want to copy and paste the seed phrase ok? A broke troll like you just wouldn’t understand the need for proper security

it's utter nonsense ... saying that as a someone who was there znd saw rarepepe s1 drop and has contributed a little to the stamps

yeah I've seen this before and i'm fairly certain most nonsense like this is just money laundering

i'm not saying anything, just my opinion of the stamp "art"

Sorry I thought you where talking of blockheads from 2014 in namecoin. Most of this links to images are dead. Don´t know how this one was stored. But anyway not in UTXOs. Stamps offer an extra layer of permanence at a higher cost, that the market and most digital artists that cares for their art living longer are willing to pay.

This was my pre-stamps project. Offchain pixel art

I cherish it as rpw says to ..for it is truly rare

One of many explorers. If I'm being honest ours could use some polish, its probably the worst looking one at the moment.

i have some of these, and i think one of the original nfts that got the dispensers

I guess I don’t understand why Joe doesn’t have same concerns as jdog.

Regardless of xchain it seems that the glut of transactions could cause problems for everyone. Does Joe not agree or see it differently?

Counterparty FORKOFF 2024 - core dev chat I am fine with my decision and did what I felt is best for Counterparty's long-term future. History will decide who was right.🤷♂️ https://t.co/M7eb5kVcZB #Counterparty #XCP #XChain #FORKOFF2024 #Transparency
-
So jdog concerns are unwarranted to the three other devs? Or they plan on fixing some how?
-
I can´t speak for them. But float on the db can be solve with the optimization, also Jdog request over years to build new explorers, wallet etc... it´s being working on too. Fee on numerics still for discussion for the reasons I mentioned above.

Counterparty is afloat without any real hands on or active devs now. So congrats I guess?
-
You’re a troll. Clearly a bunch of people were involved.
-
I didn't mean it solely towards you
-
-
but is this the result that those involved truly wanted?
-
since the current devs don't participate in the chat and jdog no longer is active - who is going to fix things as they break?
-
One maintainer is eth vaults guy, after 12 months still can't sell/list my 50 vaults
-
-
I don't see them actively participating or providing any feedback or setting of the tone moving fw
-
so if there's things going on in the background - that's fine. but the perception is they're MIA
-
because they're broken or something else?
-
What will 9.62 look like, fees on numerics or no fees?
-
probably have multiple assets in them
-
Because they migrated contract, some are now individual projects, but all previous sale history wiped away
-
-
I took that decision too
-
Well thanks @jdogresorg whenever I was stuck or had questions you was always there to help all users, good luck to us all
-
No that’s not the perception. We have had the two original CP founders talking here, Jdog, Joe, JP, stamps crew, and so on. You just don’t know what you’re talking about or don’t know who’s who.
-
-
dude - chill out - I've been around XCP since 2016
-
In the few times I've popped in the chat the past week, I've seen no dialogue or anything related to the new folks in charge is all i'm saying - my perception is that they are not actively trying to reassure anyone of much
-
also the original founder guy is not on the dev team
-
this entire attitude that it's one person's job to reassure the others is counter to the ethos of a decentralized project
-
is xchain down? where can i view my xcp assets?
-
Good than you should know who’s who.
If that’s your perception, fine… but don’t say THE Perception because your likely the only person with that perception -
Yes
-
@hodlencoinfield and service providers have been providing good, helpful guidance in many cases but that happens organically; it's not their responsibility. @honkhonnk have you yourself made any effort 'to reassure anyone of much'?
-
when the main guy bounces and leaves the dev team - it's not that big of an ask for those now maintaining things to pop in and provide some guidance
-
i'm a collector and XCP enthusiast - not a coder or engineer, etc.
-
hear me out: they are working
-
jdog has been a daily staple of this chat and helping those in need when things go wrong or break - who's doing it that now is all i'm asking
-
asking developers to both deal with a hostile fork and do PR is unreasonable and when that expectation becomes general crypto projects fail.
-
i personally have been amazed at how active and helpful and communicative the technical community has been. these people are unpaid and their work is thankless
-
maybe give the evolving situation a few days and if they need a PR point of contact they will fill the gap or add someone they trust to share that regular contact
-
They’ve posted on Twitter, they posted here, they’ve been posting everywhere
-
from the leaked dms, it looks like they have a number of things to accomplish prior to coming into the chat and sharing a rundown and what comes next type disclosure
-
excuse me, chat not dms
-
If only you knew
-
Gotta say - Whatever - is my favorite commenter
-
Probably you lol
-
You might not comprehend why

I can do any PR needed. NP

I believe you're excluded from the real chats for a reason ser. All the serious discussion is in the dev chats, with the maintainers, founders and devs putting forth solutions - including j-dog occasionally 🙂 This chat is just for trolling and fun ofc. You think we don't love fucking with doge style and gmoney and any other tool that pops up that has no clue what they are talking about irt the actual tech and details? Realistically, not much time to engage with this type of chatter unless you're in the mood to fuck with trollers and post some shit to stir up some fake drama. Especially the last few days. Lots happening with xcp.dev to step up as a full featured explorer, new potential for stamps explorers supporting broader ranges of CP assets (or all) etc, etc, etc. tbh idk how the hell jdog was able to be so active in the chats and also push out loads of work. remember it's all imaginary, esoteric as Joe put it. Extremely fake. I know who you are.

-
Sounds like a great way to maintain confidence in the project and keep folks around. Keep up the great work.
-
Keep degening will be here for the keks
-
Love his confidence can’t wait to see how this ends. 🤣
-
Sounds like he’s about 21 years old and doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about
-
People have been underestimating Stamps since the beginning. I see a lot of motivated devs working to build something robust and successful.
-
How does this better XCP specifically?
-
Wen the bots in suits leave we will be here for the cope
-
Who made that claim?
-
bots in suits?
-
@Whatever do you mean XCP or Counterparty?
-
Counterparty is made better by staying relevant and having a growing user-base. I know many feel that isn't important, but I assure you it is.
-
Both. Just seems like most of the stamps guys don’t care for XCP much and dog on it. Just wondering why they would want to waste time building on counterparty but let the token die
-
I’m all for anything that encourages active use of xcp and the dex
-
i love xcp have loads of it, wen moon
-
There is a whole world of Counterparty outside of Stamps. Why should the token die if its being used by all those other projects?
-
-
why are you so threatened
-
please mike check dm
-
putting the question of whether there should be an xcp should fee for numeric issuances (personally I lean towards yes), why doesn't someone just build a competitor to Stamps that uses named assets
-
If I were GMONEY with a big bag of Named assets, I sure as hell would want traffic and network effect to pick-up. Namespaces have no value otherwise.
-
It existed! In fact Jdog built a really cool directory for it. Then he took it down (his choice).
-
All of the traffic is diverted to other sites and away from the dex though.
-
we already have named asset support. new features released very soon. Even jdog hinted at reviving tokenstamps.io for the use case.
-
ah! is that coindaddy?
-
Shitcoiners crack me up. You guys only learn through massive pain. Lol
-
who is in pain?
-
no, thats something else. If you want to add enhanced metadata to your asset
-
got it. sorry, am quite out of the loop. anyway, IMO having an asset standard kinda similar to ERC20 (or whatever the current version is) on Counterparty is pretty neat.
-
Enjoying the show
-
indeed
-
Definitely, I think one of the big challenges with Counterparty is that there is no "standard" so people end up minting in all different ways. Would be nice if an image hash were included and a standardized format, etc..
-
good to hear you guys are thinking this way. tbh the ecosystem has developed very differently from how I thought so didn't think about a lot of this stuff in the early days.
-
Pretty different than Bitcoin-based stocks, huh.. funny how the whims of the market progress
-
yep, for sure!

i have not! that *is* very cool!
-
who made this?!
-
How about a website similar to RPW for stamps that incorporates the dex to buy and sell using XCP?
-
Missing FROLIC
-
Sounds good. Hope someone builds it
-
This was quite an achievement for Counterparty: https://decrypt.co/105263/what-immortalizing-the-curb-your-enthusiasm-theme-means-for-music-nftsWhat Immortalizing the 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Theme Means for Music NFTs - Decrypt
The token was minted in April. An auction is said to be upcoming. But where exactly does this 1-of-1 fit in the world of music NFTs?
-
How long before mention of xcp or the image banned from this chat 🤣
-
Any new stamps wallet should have a built in dex for not only xcp but Pepe Cash as well.

Like all things, this is voluntary work on an open protocol. Freewallet mobile doesn't even have a DEX but Stamps web wallets need to support it? Sorry, devs are not my employees, I can't dictate what they work on or release. It would be great if they built in a DEX, I would love that. That's up to them and the resources they have.
-
Joe set up RPW. I’m sure he could swing it.
-
Yes, Joe is a very talented dev and that's what he chose to spend his time working on.
-
Again my pt is to encourage active use of the platform. Whatever anybody creates I just hope they consider this angle
-
in the regular OSS world people put bounties (read: money) on things they want developed. not sure why the crypto world excepts itself from this practice.
-
heck, you can put an RFP on upwork if you want
-
-
Its a good point. People tend to be more persuasive with their requests when they offer devs some compensation.

Well we ran off jdog that was actively working and engaging on these items and are now left with silence for the moment. I could care less about stamps and think it’s a fad that will fizzle like most. So just hope that whatever is built or developed encourages xcp use for the sake of keeping things alive.
-
relitigating the events of the last 72 hours seems both premature and superfluous. what you're asking is for a specific, well-defined feature to be built
-
if you can get a moderate-sized bounty set up i'm sure someone will build it
-
You obviously know the protocol better than most. I hope you stick around and help make XCP great again!

Hello everyone, my free wallet app has been doing this all day, can anyone give any insight?
-
It just keeps saying refreshing wallet
-
-
What happened to this pump and dump?
-
The website doesn't work anymore
-
-
Yes it's offline
-
Thanks James. Is it scheduled maintenance do you know?
-
Considering several people pissed off the single guy responsible for the site and xcp repository, not a smart move
-
That sucks. Is the person planning to bring it back online?
-
I’m not sure about all the politics behind this. Hopefully it all gets sorted out.
-
We all hope this
-
how can i move my btc now? freewallet is currently offline
-
My FreeWallet is working for BTC, not my other coins though. I can’t see any of them.
-
can i move it then? can i make a transaction? cuz fail when i try to update my balance

I have been working on a web based wallet app for 'Satoshi Soldiers' there is full DeX and Dispenser support, but have no plans to support pepecash just XCP
this stuff is a labour of love I am not being paid to do it
this stuff takes time
it's now on hold a while whilst required APIs are put in place -

I try to post a message in there but it disappears.

Tool no clue what talking about, I've maintained my position clearly, I like stamps, wish them success.
But I don't believe should be using free numerics, as I've previously stated, if you wanted the full btc play, to be a copy cat version of ordinals, shouldn't have used CP/free numerics to begin with.
I've seen the attitude from you and your clan towards jdog, threatening forks and then cry when one actually happens.
You can't burn me much when you gave a donation, then asked for it back, and was given it back. (Btc donation)
You've managed to worm your position into the new maintainers mindset, so now 10k numeric collections will be the new hip, you will bleed CP dry then move on. -
Hahaha let's all stamp now ffs
-
-
Not totally incorrect
-
-
What do you think of Freeport? you know Joe's free numeric asset app .. is that OK coz no one uses it ?
-
For most of a decade I have been calling for changes to XCP to both a.) better incentivize the token and b.) curb abuse and spam. So have many members / those calls have fallen on deaf ears though.
Many of the key issues you’re facing are because XCP has the tokenomics of a one-off curiosity that isn’t designed to survive or be self sustaining. Every time I bring up “hey we should incentivize nodes and the token” I’m met with “well that doesn’t matter because XCP nodes don’t matter and the token doesnt matter”. Well apparently it kind of does matter because you need people to *want* to build and maintain XCP services for it to continue to exist. -
My position doesn't change, free numerics shouldn't be for mass use
-
-
The fact that you’re a core dev with 82 total messages in the entire history of this channel is also troubling. How invested are you into the future success of xcp if you have barely ever said two words here?

@hodlencoinfield Agreed? -
look don't touch ?
-
There was a vote for numerics to have fee, now people switching up
-
I don't really care at this point
-
-
Fee wasn't there for named assets to begin with, but if we need that to promote responsible use on named assets, with current events same should apply to numerics
